Queensbay Mall is a huge shopping center with tons of stores and dining options, making it one of the best places to shop in Penang. The variety is impressive—you’ll find everything from fashion and tech to specialty foods. AEON is definitely the highlight here, offering a wide selection at fair, reasonable prices.
It’s a nice mall near the waterfront but way too confusing and the touch screen directory wasn’t functioning when I was there. Massive place where you can get anything you want and lots of food choices ranging from all different budgets which is nice. The Ramadan decorations with the turtles was really cool but some children were touching the display and security didn’t bother to tell them off.
QM is one of the amazing shopping malls in Penang. You can find wide range of shops from clothing, food & beverages, bread, dessert, jewellery, accessories, hair salons, sportswear, electronics, phone & phone accessories, slimming centre, beauty and facial, grocery etc. From time to time you can see different roadshow or product promotion offered here. If you are Doraemon Fans, don’t missed out the Doraemon Mug(limited edition) given away when you purchase Colgate value pack Toothpaste at RM21.99 at AEON, hurry up if interested! The mug comes with 3 creative design with 3 attractive colours.(Blue, Red, Yellow), all looks so nice! I’ve redeemed the yellow ones and the design is extremely adorable. At AEON, You can now collect 1 stamp when spent RM30 and entitled to purchase many variety of Lilo & Stitch products starting from RM19.90 and onwards once you collected 15 stamps(for AEON member), 20 stamps (for Non Member), check it out if you’re fans! Happy weekend and happy shopping! So glad I managed to grab these offer and promotion items this weekend, wonderful June!
Big mall which has almost every brand for locals and I love to do groceries in Aeon every weekends, to have dessert in secret recipe and to have a delicious diner in Thai restaurant there
The best place to wait for your return flight from Penang. You can easily get to the airport in less than 10 minutes by Grab. This strategic location allows you to relax, shop, and dine without the worry of a long journey, making it an excellent choice for waiting for your flight.
Extremely large place for shopping. By the way, can somebody educate me why this area has so many many crows? They sound quác quác quác all day
Nice cool quiet walkabout during weekday...had my favourite Japanese ice-cream n double expresso to rest weary legs
Many famous food and drinks that you can find here. Famous Amos, HWC, Caring, guardians, Portofino, Anta, ondo,…etc. AEON is also here

Nice environment at a convenient location. Having experienced beauticians & therapists providing great services. It works well for a relaxation for the body, mind and soul.
This was my first visit to Danai Spa, and I chose the Eastin Hotel branch. Overall, I had a wonderful experience from start to finish. The ambiance was calm and relaxing, setting the perfect tone for the session. I was given the option to choose my preferred massage oil, which added a nice personal touch. I went for the Signature Massage and was attended to by Emma, who was excellent throughout. Her skill and professionalism made the session truly enjoyable, and I’m extremely satisfied with her service.I would definitely recommend her. What impressed me even more was the thoughtful customer service. After the massage, they served porridge and coffee, which was such a pleasant surprise. Little touches like this really elevate the whole experience. Highly recommended!
I have very high expectations of Danai Spa and unfortunately my experience in Eastin didn't met my expectations. My therapist felt like an amateur and didn't provide any hospitality at all. When I came out for a drink, I was disappointed that my porridge and dessert was cold. I could barely took a bite. The only thing that was nice was the ginger tea. I waited for 10 minutes in order for anyone to get me to sign or acknowledge the completion of the massage but I couldn't find anyone. Even the receptionist is gone (as shown). I understand that I took the last slot of the day but that shouldn't be the reason why the customer service is so bad. Honestly very disappointed as I have high expectations on the quality of Danai Spa.
I've had services with both Elaine and Elise and they are fantastic beauticians. They not only have excellent skills and massage techniques, but they also offer truly professional advice. It's clear they care about their clients and the results.
My recent visit to Danai Spa at Eastin Hotel Penang was truly an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by Ms. Fifie, who handled my registration with such professionalism and genuine care. She guided me through the entire process with attentiveness and ensured that I felt comfortable and well taken care of at every stage. The spa’s atmosphere was serene and calming — a perfect sanctuary for relaxation. The therapist’s skill and attention to detail made the session deeply rejuvenating, both physically and mentally. Every element, from the soothing ambience to the thoughtful hospitality, reflected the spa’s commitment to excellence. A special thank you to Ms. Fifie for her kindness, patience, and dedication throughout my visit. Her warm personality and meticulous service truly elevated the overall experience. I left feeling completely refreshed and grateful for the wonderful service provided. Danai Spa continues to set a high standard for wellness and customer care — I will definitely return and highly recommend it to others seeking a meaningful and restorative spa experience.
I was here for my occasional facial (ahem :)). The experience was extremely relaxing and wonderful. My therapist today is Elise. She was very thorough in her treatment and able to put me at ease especially during the dreaded extraction. Highly commendable and recommended.
“Many thanks to Angeline & Mia at Danai Wellness, Eastin, for a wonderfully relaxing massage for the past few occasions. All strained muscle seems straightened out! :)) Exactly what we all need to ease stress. Great job and truly appreciated!” 👍☺️
Fantastic spa experience on my 1st visit in early August. The massage service level was good and environment nice & quiet. And to my pleasure surprise, my relationship manager Ken and the branch manager there Irene was so nice to arrange & gave me a birthday cake for my birthday! Truly a wonderful 5* experience and hospitality 👍👍

Shahmy the front desk guy.. I had an outstanding experience at the airport premium lounge, thanks to the exceptional service from the front desk staff. From the moment I arrived, he greeted me with a warm, professional smile that instantly made me feel welcomed. He handled the check-in process efficiently, with clear communication and genuine courtesy. What really stood out was his attentiveness—he patiently answered all my questions. Despite being busy, he remained calm, focused, and friendly to every guest. His positive attitude set the tone for a relaxing and smooth lounge experience. A true asset to the team—thank you!
The food standard is nowhere comparable to a truly international airport like Singapore's. I get it, this is a small airport, so I don't fault them but there are definitely room for improvements. The harsh brown were way too overdone and hard. To say it is a premium lounge, I will only say I have been to better an more premium. This IMO is just standard. Most of the dining tables and seats were littered with crumbs which the staff failed to clean up after the customers have left. Thus, cleanliness can be improved. But overall, the service staff were quite friendly and nice.
Extremely Crowded lounge. However, it’s comfortable enough to spend 2 hours here. They have half and half eating and sitting areas and the couches are pretty wide and comfortable with individual charging ports. There is also an outside eating area with another food buffet running. The food is decent and good enough for lunch or dinner. Snacks provided with the usual coffee and tea selections and soft drinks I appreciate their are trying their best in view of the space constraints as well as the size of the airport. Additional persons above the lounge pass +1 is RM25
The Plaza Premium Lounge is currently the only lounge option at Penang International Airport, which naturally makes it a popular choice among travelers. As expected, it gets very crowded during the morning peak hours. There were quite a few people lining up to pay for entry on top of those entering with access cards, and business class passengers, which added to the congestion. The lounge itself is relatively small, and finding a seat was quite a challenge. I eventually had to settle at the bar counter while waiting for a proper table to free up. Unfortunately, many of the tables were cluttered with used plates and cups that staff hadn’t cleared for quite some time, which gave the place a slightly disorganized feel. In terms of food and beverage, the selection was average — the usual mix you’d find in many regional lounges. The breakfast spread included hash browns, tomatoes, and Nasi Lemak, along with a small live station serving noodles and eggs. However, this live counter became a bottleneck, creating a short queue that made the compact food area feel even more cramped. The curry laksa was a standout dish in flavor — the broth was tasty and aromatic — but it was let down by a poorly executed detail: the egg served with it was ice-cold, clearly straight from the fridge, which was unpleasant when mixed into the hot soup. Other hot dishes also suffered from inconsistent heating and were only lukewarm at best. Overall, while the lounge provides a basic place to rest before your flight, it struggles with overcrowding, cleanliness, and food temperature management. If you’re visiting during off-peak hours, you might have a more comfortable experience, but during busy periods, it’s hard to justify the premium label or entry fee.
Oh, Plaza Premium Lounge. More like Plaza "Slightly Better Than Sitting on the Floor" Lounge. Look, I get it - airports are terrible and anywhere with air conditioning feels like a gift from the gods. But let's be honest here, this place is basically putting lipstick on a pig and calling it premium. The staff? Actually lovely. Can't fault them. They're doing their best with what they've got, bless them. Genuinely nice people trying to make your experience better, which is more than you can say for most airport experiences. But here's where it gets fun. "Premium" drinks cost EXTRA. I'm sorry, what? I already paid to get into your "premium" lounge, and now you want more money for anything that isn't basic juice or coffee? That's like charging someone to enter your house and then asking for more money to use the good toilet paper. The food is... well, imagine airplane food that gave up trying. Nothing offensive, nothing exciting. Just bland, forgettable stuff that fills a hole. I've had more flavor from cardboard. And crowded? Oh my word, yes. Apparently everyone had the same brilliant idea to escape the terminal chaos. So now you're in a smaller room with the same amount of people, but hey - at least there's slightly better seating! It's like being in a fancy waiting room at the dentist. The space itself is tiny. You know those photos they show you online that make it look spacious and luxurious? Yeah, those were taken with a very wide lens and a lot of optimism. But here's the thing - despite all this moaning, it IS better than sitting in the main terminal. The chaos out there makes this cramped, overpriced room feel like a sanctuary. Which really says more about airports than it does about this place. Would I go back? Probably, because I'm weak and airports break my soul. But I'd go in with realistic expectations this time.
I visited the Plaza Premium Lounge at Penang Airport and had a mixed experience. The lounge itself is quite small, so finding a truly comfortable spot to rest might be challenging. However, there are food and beverage options available, which, while not outstanding, are certainly better than having none at all. One thing that stood out was the exceptional service from Mr. Shahmy. He was warm, welcoming, and made the visit more pleasant with his hospitality. His dedication to customer service truly deserves recognition. Overall, it's a decent place for a quick stop to grab a bite and relax before a flight, but if you're looking for a spacious and luxurious lounge experience, this might not be the best option.
It’s small but kind of complete with what you expect from a lounge except bathing and sleeping. I came around 7pm which see not much crowd so it’s calm and quite, totally different from the chaos ppl in KL airports. Toilet is clean, staff clean the table frequently. Food counter is a bit too small and the area for noodle counter next to pastry area in my opinion too cramped and not a good arrangement. I suggest to swap pastry area with the snacks. Afterall, more people take pastry than muruku and cookies. Food taste, ok la, typical and same recipe of ppl everywhere….
The lounge offers a decent selection of food, both inside and outside, and the staff are attentive and polite. However, the seating area feels a bit cramped, which can make it slightly inconvenient to move around. Overall, it’s a fairly good lounge with both strengths and some room for improvement.

I had such an amazing time with my friends and kids! From the moment we stepped into the room, the atmosphere was immersive and incredibly well-designed. The puzzles were challenging but not impossible, with just the right balance to keep our group engaged and working together. The staff was friendly. My advice is to keep the lights on. Set a timer on your smart watch and show it to the staff when you start the game. Thank you Mission Q 😍
Nice experience, the one that I played need to climb ladder and is fun. Is a good game. The puzzle is not that hard. Just don't overthink it because the anwser is always infront of you. And I played with light off. Which is fun they gave us 2 touch light.
Was very excited to finally go to an escape room. Made booking on their website easily enough. Advice on website: Be 15 minutes early for briefing by game master. (followed advise. but no briefing or game master - didn't know items can be carried out for future use) We were put into the room and told to try to figure out clues to move on to next room. The audio was not clear (PUSH THE WALL... how much strength? ALL your might) Some rooms were too dark to try to look for clues and solve the puzzles. However, one Indian staff was helpful enough while the one seated at the counter had a could care less attitude. Money's worth, please Mission Q!
After two experience of playing Mission Q, I realise that the receptionist isn't rude but I have seen some of comments on Google said that the receptionist is rude although I didn't experienced the rude attitude of the receptionist. Other than that, I think that the game is too difficult for us to play without any instructions. So, I suggest that Mission Q would decrease the difficulty of those games and let us have more game experience and let us feel that the price is worth. About the price, I think that it is also expensive for majority of people. How can I say it is expensive? I think I have paid RM38, but I didn't feel that it is worth for RM38. It is too difficult and I will need to use the hint many times, I believe most of people will feel the same with me. RM38 for only one hour? I think that the duration is too short. Even I haven't finish the second level, it have just left about 20 mins. I think it is too rush for completing the whole game. In the other hand, although it can improve more about many things but it is also a good choice to play Mission Q with friends and family. It let me feel that me and my friends were solving those problems together and I felt enthusiastic when playing the game. Overall, I hope that Mission Q can listen to our suggestions to improve more, I also honestly hope Mission Q can be a great entertainment place!
The staffs were friendly, and the gane was really fun. I didn't escape the room, but it was good either way. I recommend about 3 people, 6 people was way too much that we all got to an argument, haha.
RECEPTIONIST RUDE! Had a bad experience frm this place. Canceled our booking because the receptionist was rude to us. We were unaware that the place had to be booked first but the receptionist replied to us in rude way that we have to wait. We don't mind waiting but we wished she replied in proper manner. We have never been to this place before so no instructions or warning given beforehand. Anyhow after booking, we checked the Google review then realised many people had horrible experience during the game. Then we decided to cancel our booking. The receptionist was not even bothered to ask why and cancel right away. Even if the place is old we would have played the game if the staff is friendly. The ticket is expensive too.
We have worked in the escape room industry for 6 years, having played over 60 rooms worldwide. This was the worst. No introduction to the room, it's story or rules. The room was very basic, lots of broken props and no music or sound effects. Every puzzle had a 4 digit solution, with the puzzles having no real logic. This included a puzzle which allowed you to move parts that shouldn't be moved and a jigsaw that did not fit together in any way. Unsure if the games master had any real training. We were immediately put in the room without an introduction and pointed to the first puzzle. When we asked for clues the games master just told us the answer. Not worth an hour of your time, let alone the money. There are much better rooms out there.
Have to bear in mind to make an appointment prior to joining the game. It was a rather fun experience overall, but it felt a bit pricey as the equipment seemed to be worn out and could use a good maintenance.

Nice Food with good people...Good Service with plenty of Parking.. great place for gathering if you have a guest to visit penang
Just had reunion dinner with my family here and we were all disappointed to say the least. Here’s our comments about each dish which honestly were mostly horrible. 1st dish Yee Sang - typical store bought Yee Sang which had lots of crispy crackers. Nothing much to comment about as I didn’t expect much. 2nd dish Seafood Soup - Acceptable but not warm enough. Lukewarm at best. 3rd dish Stir Fried Prawns - Simple presentation but taste wise acceptable. Probably the only dish I find good of the night. 4th dish Crispy Chicken with Orange Sauce - Probably should be renamed Soggy Chicken with Tasteless Orange Colored Sauce. Cold and soggy, chicken was not even fresh. 5th dish Slice Abalone with Mushroom and Broccoli - The dish was served without abalone slice. Only after a few dishes later the abalone slices were served separately on another plate. Likely due to many complaints from patrons. 6th dish Steamed Threadfin - The worst dish of the night. I’ve never seen such a pathetic looking fish (see picture). Served cold, not fresh and with strong fishy smell. Probably the worst restaurant fish dish I’ve tasted in a long time. 7th dish Fried Rice - Rice was a little soggy and tasteless. Last dish Longan Dessert - Literally longan water with ice cubes. Nothing to be crazy about. On top of that, the music was too loud throughout the night. I’m not against some music for entertainment but at some point it just started to sound like drunk relatives singing karaoke at weddings. Annoying and noisy. Poor value for money. Please improve as I believe Penang Golf Club can do better.
The Only & Private Golf Club on Penang Island and many of the amenities are poorly maintained. Driving range rules have never been strictly enforced where many smokers(cigarette or e-cigarette) are regularly seen smoking at the range. Fencing took more than a year to repair and yet seems like only halfway thru the process. Collected old & damaged golf balls and let driving range customers/members to practice. Wonder if the PGC management charge the contractor for such delays and slow progress. 6 tennis courts with only are able to play but condition is below par. While the other 3 courts were left in awfully damaged condition(>2 years to say the least) without hope to them being repaired for the next months or years to come.
Tight course, you can use your driver only on a few holes if you love keeping hold of your golf balls! The course in good nick, greens were ok could do with a heavy roll. Brand new buggies, male caddies, odd rules for playing in 3 balls on certain days, and 2 balls on the other. This is a bit random. The club facilities, much like every golf course we played in Penang, needs a major uplift. Restaurants and on course F&B are available, cash only on course, but you can get a beer. We also got told off for not having our shirts tucked in! Note the caddies expect 100MR tip each and the Club have just received a new batch of golf buggies.
I was really disappointed with the pineapple fried rice. It was just normal fried rice with no pineapple to be found.
I am writing to inform regarding an incident that occurred during a birthday celebration we organized on 1st November 2025 (Saturday) at the Golf View Room, Penang Golf Club. Upon arrival for our event setup, we noticed that the entrance floor was slippery, appearing as though it had not been cleaned properly. Due to our focus on the event setup, we were unable to immediately take action regarding the condition. However, shortly after, one of our guests — my mother — slipped and fell upon entering the room. She hit her head on the floor and sustained an injury to her hand. We immediately informed the venue staff present. The staff acknowledged that the floor was slippery and initially attempted to cover the area with carpets. We expressed concern that using carpets could increase the risk of further accidents, and upon our request, the staff removed them. Subsequently, one of their staff members stood outside the entrance to alert arriving guests, while one of our family members had to remain stationed at the door throughout the event to warn others about the unsafe floor. This situation caused great distress to our family and disrupted the event. Despite our official complaint submitted to the venue management, the management has since denied that the floor was slippery and has ignored our claims and requests for accountability. Their lack of responsibility and follow-up is extremely disappointing. As this message to inform public to be avoid the book venue such Penang Golf Club
Unsafe Flooring – Guest Slipped and Fell I’m very disappointed with the safety conditions at this place. During our event, one of our guests slipped and fell because the floor surface was extremely slippery, even though it wasn’t wet. And we have to be very careful when walk, the event went chaos. This clearly shows that the flooring material or maintenance is unsafe for guests. We reported the incident to the staff, but the response was not handled properly, and there seemed to be little concern for the guest’s well-being. This kind of situation could easily cause serious injuries and should not happen in a public or hospitality setting. I strongly recommend public not to use this venue, as the management won’t be taking any responsibility if anything happens to the guest
Came here for Durian feast. The price is reasonable. Ample seating space to dine in. Spacious and open air. Staffs are very friendly. Ample parking space too. Durians were fresh.
