One of our sons (our 3rd child) had a soccer tournament at this park. The fields were very well-maintained and clearly identified, the bathrooms were fairly clean (for a public restroom)🚻🚼, the walking paths were either new or like new (I'm not sure how old this park is, but they looked to be in fairly new condition).🆕️ It definitely made pushing a stroller and having to walk with a cane much easier (and safer). I am a disabled Mom with MS. So, that is important. There were plenty of clearly marked handicapped ♿️ parking spots. The front of the park has beautiful signage that makes for an awesome photo spot for the players and teams. There was also plenty of room, without compromising walkability, for vendors to set up for tournament gear and memorabilia, and they had a concession stand for your hungry little ones watching their siblings play, to quench their thirst (or yours) in the heat, to reward your hard-working players after their match, or for the adults (Mom, Dad, grandparents, etc) with them to get a well-deserved snack or drink, too. There are plenty of trash AND recycling receptacles as well, so there is no excuse to not keep this beautifully designed and maintained park clean. 🚮♻️
Lastly, we live in the North Charlotte area. However, this park was not hard to get to or to find at all. As a matter of fact, it is worth the drive for our son and his team to be able to compete on pitches that are in great condition as these are. ⚽️🥅 Trust me (as a soccer Mom for 23 years now), I know firsthand that not all are like this, unfortunately. 🥇🏆
Definitely check Manchester Meadows out if you get the chance. We may have to come back to check out their other amenities (like bringing our dogs here since they are allowed as per the "about" section on here, the playground, the walking/hiking trails, or the picnic tables for a nice picnic lunch outdoors. 😊☀️🛝🪁🎉🐕🦺🥪🍎🥤
