The best selection of pottery I have seen in one place and such a beautiful setting. Well worth the trip out when you are on Orcas Island.
What a charming pottery nested in the dense trees of Orcas Island. Had a great time exploring the designs and learning about the art of pottery making. They also have a dreamy tree house that can’t be missed.
WORTH THE RIDE DOWN THE ROAD! Many local artists represented in one beautiful location, thus a big variety of pottery styles and objects. All price points, a great place for gifts (including for oneself ).
What a magical place! After you have found your way through the magical forest, pottery awaits! Beautifully crafted and displayed in a magical garden, this place is your one stop shop for any kind of unique clay. It is one of our favorite places to go on Orcas. The artists working and living there are great to chat with and you feel as though you’re on hallowed ground when visiting.
✨ Five Stars Isn’t Enough! ✨ I am absolutely over the moon with my experience at Orcas Island Pottery! Twenty years ago, when my husband and I got married, we had a custom, one-of-a-kind set of dinner plates, bowls, and ao much more made for us by Sid, the incredibly talented owner. We originally ordered 16, knowing that over time, a few might break. After two decades of daily use, we were down to 11 dinner plates - and I reached out hoping it might be possible to recreate the same special pattern. Not only did they say yes, but they truly went above and beyond. With their new kiln and Sid’s expert craftsmanship, they were able to create a beautiful new set of eight dinner plates that match the originals perfectly. The plates are absolutely stunning—elegant, meaningful, and filled with care. I’m beyond grateful to have these pieces back in our home, full of memories and ready for new ones. Thank you, Sid, and everyone at Orcas Island Pottery, for your incredible work and heart. 💙 We couldn’t be happier!
Beautiful pottery, great variety- something for everyone and a lovely garden too.
It's an incredible place with very nice pottery pieces.
Well off the beaten path, this gallery on the northwest shore of Orcas Island showcases the works of potters throughout the Pacific Northwest of the US. There are styles and glazes to satisfy everyone. Don't miss place!

Picturesque, unique shaped island with an array of hiking trails alongside swimming & boating.

Fossil Bay, Echo Bay, Shallow Bay, Snoring Bay, Ewing Cove, Fox Cove — something for every experienced boater, whether you want a social dock atmosphere, a secluded anchorage or something in between. It gets busy in boating season, but distance from any services keeps it from being overrun. Many well-maintained hiking trails, spectacular views at every turn, interpretive and directional signage tell the human and geological story (and you might even spot a fossil yourself), clean/stocked pit toilets. Fantastic kayaking along water-carved sandstone bluffs. Watch for herons, seals, otters and even occasional cavorting orcas in the strait between Sucia and Matia Islands.
Wonderful hiking area with many trails and beautiful beaches. Good anchorage and easy access to the beach. Amazing site for whale watching and bird viewing.
Didn't think I'd like it before we got there. Was I wrong! FYI...You can only get there by boat. Enjoyed a nice hike and beautiful scenery.
Stunning island. Complete island is a State Park. Interesting area life, going trails, boat dock, restrooms .and pavilions, camping, beaches, friendly park staff
Nice island for hanging out. Quite few boats here. Not totally sure what that’s about.
It’s great has hikes, places to camp, you can see orcas and stuff. But there are NO sucias here..
A fun place to moor up to one of the mooring balls and go explore. Beautiful surroundings. Sunset views are fantastic.
The best state park in Washington! Multiple coves, great hikes and scenery.

Great little brewery! Very cozy spot, excellent beers, very small menu of snacks but delicious (we had the smoked salmon but they also had an excellent cheese selection). Service was great, super fun little spot and very dog friendly!
We love Island Hopping Brewery. The owners are especially welcoming and helpful. I swear their best gets better and better with each new variety. Food is great, but basic snack stuff, such as cheese, crackers, and cured meats. Bring your own food. Super dog and family friendly.
A great local brewery with some very good brews. Nice little menu to grab a bite or bring a lunch and enjoy inside or out. Friendly staff, welcoming environment and a great place for a brew and a break.
World class food & beverages, exceptional staff, and wonderful live music most weekends! Highly recommend!
Excellent afternoon stop. I had the IPA and ISA and I liked them both. We also had the cheese plate as a snack which was great. Local cheeses, very good, adults and kids devoured. They also have a selection of non-alcoholic including kombuchas. Cute outdoor beer garden.
Such an awesome little brewery!! A total locals place with delicious beer and food (the smoked salmon and cheese are insanelyyy good)! Cali was the Beertender and she was so sweet, knowledgeable and fun to talk too!! There’s a room on the side that’s super private and great if you have a few dogs with you, tons of outdoor seating as well. Definitely will be coming back next time we are on Orcas :)
If you're not a local, this isn't your place. We felt very unwelcome when coming to check out the beer selection. So much so, we didn't stay. The music that was playing was a fun vibe though.
This place really surprised me. I wrote in another brewery review that one can't expect much from a small, isolated brewery like this. Demand would allow mediocrity to be acceptable. But the brews were top notch! We ended up making three(?) trips here while on the island, and I tried nearly every offering. It's hard to explain, but the beers had that fresh, homebrew taste to them. Not only would I go back again, I will miss this place now that I've returned home.

If you are in the area, you must visit Orcas Island Farmers Market. There is so cool stuff to see and enjoy the delicious tamales 🫔
What a nice market with fresh produce offerings, local artist pieces and food stalls. A great local event that is welcoming to visitors. A fun place to have a picnic or listen to music.
Its cute. But mostly vendors and food. Not a lot of farmers. Couldnt find fruit!
Locally grown food from Orcas Island farms. A vendor spinning wool from her farm's sheep. The historical museum is fantastic, opens at 11am. Live folk music. Family-friendly affair!
Good food, fun atmosphere, lots of local vendors like, Bossey's feltworks, and Iland Thyme.
So many different vendors and options! All local food and art. The people are so nice and everything is high quality. Get some fresh oysters to munch on as you wander around and you won't be disappointed.
This market rocks! So many places to eat. We enjoyed the mushroom grilled cheese sandwich which I’ll remember forever.
Probably the most fun thing I do all year. Especially on Solstice weekend. And the parade. And the music. And so many happy gorgeous people.at the Market. Thank you Eastsound.

We found this adorable winery by accident and I’m so glad we did. We were greeted by the cutest little dog (Arthur maybe 😬). The weather was beautiful and there were a bunch of places to sit outside and enjoy it. Wes was extremely helpful and answered all of my questions. There were some interesting wine that I’ve not encountered before which is always fun. The pours were pretty hefty for a tasting 🎉
We were led to believe that there was a good food selection here, but when we arrived it was only bags of chips and a few options for packaged meat and cheeses. The wine flight was pricey($26) and almost good enough, but it is not grown on Orcas Island. The chilled red wine was the best and the others were okay. The location has a nice view, but not much shade and only a port-a-potty for a bathroom.
We visit Orcas Island annually. Orcas winery was having a fall festival so we stopped in. They were not allowing any tasting stating they were too busy. However they weren’t busy in the least. So we ordered 2 glasses of wine. They were very small pours and were very expensive, $15 each! The wine quality was marginal at best. I’ve paid that price for high end wines, but sadly, these wines were not of the caliber to justify the price. I will not be coming back.
Amazing little spot for some views, wine, and conversation. They offer flights of wine for their four varieties, where it comes out to two glasses of wine for $26.
Nice, family-owned winery with a variety of seating options and excellent wines. When we were there, there were only four offerings, but two of them made the decision very difficult. The staff was friendly and engaging, and seemed eager to make sure our stay was enjoyable.
We had a wonderful time here on our honeymoon. The family running the bar is super friendly and Arthur, the dog, will happily announce your arrival as your drive up. The wines here were great, especially the rosé. The setting is also beautiful and definitely best enjoyed on a nice sunny day.
A lovely little spot! They have a nice big yard with picnic tables spread out—easy to practice social distancing here. They have blankets and games you can borrow. The wine was very tasty and unique. They were very friendly and not too busy for a beautiful Sunday afternoon. They also had a little collection of local goods for purchase (candles, soaps, etc.)
Cute winery with a pretty view, small area for kids to play but definitely not for little kids or need lots of supervision. The only bathroom was a portable, but the staff was friendly and so was the dog!

This gallery has a wonderful variety of art and is a must see when you’re in Eastsound! I purchased a beautiful ceramic bowl and two watercolor prints from the gallery and was having such an engaging conversation about the history of Orcas Island with Sonia that I forgot to put the prints in my bag. I realized when I got back to Seattle, so I called and Sonia was wonderful and got them to me! I am so thankful and will be back!
Lovely little art gallery. Many of the artists seemed to be local or PNW based. We happened to stumble upon a piece of art by the same artist that adorned our Airbnb (Debby Neely)- so it was a perfect keepsake to remember our special stay on Orcas.
I found the most beautiful small glass bowl, perfect for putting the sea glass and beach stones I collected on my magical trip to the area. I left and then returned shortly after because I knew my mom would love one of the ceramic pieces in the shop. Spoke with a lovely lady who was running the shop. Lovely experience. My only regret is not also taking home some of the gorgeous earrings.
Great spot to stop and check out some local art. We bought a lovely ceramic ornament.
I have purchased several pieces from this gallery including a Mustard, a Ridgeway, and some smaller pottery. The staff (Sonia) is top quality, and it’s a can’t miss shop in Eastsound. Find something at every price range.
Great local shop located right in downtown. They have art made by local artists and a large skin & body care section. I love the lip balm and soap we purchased! Plus they have testers off all the products so you can try before you buy! We went after the farmers market on Saturday and then stopped in again on Sunday. I think they are open 7 days a week during the summer. This place is a must-do on your visit to Orcas.
Had returned to the store to purchase a watercolor painting we liked. It had been clearly marked as to its pricing (we have a photograph of the labeling and pricing). When it was rung up, the requested amount was about $50 (roughly 10%) higher than expected based on the clearly marked pricing. When I called attention to the disparity, we were told, "Too bad." We did not purchase. It appears consumers of this store need to take care to verify that their charged amounts at the till correspond with the labeled pricing on the products and to be prepared for responses such as we recieved if they do not align.
Out of all the art stores we’ve visited in Orcas island this on was the best
