Visited this restaurant last night with my family and wow. The ambient lighting and Bayfront view is beyond stunning. We enjoyed a few appetizers and I am still thinking about the mussels. The Coal Pot is a great option if you’re looking for a place to eat in Castries. It’s located near George F. L. Charles Airport and Vigie Beach, with a beautiful waterside/marina view.
The open, terrace-style seating makes it feel airy and relaxed, and you can really enjoy both the food and the scenery. A lovely spot to unwind.

Sketchy road coming in but wow! Delicious food and beautiful restaurant. We reserved a waterfront table. I got the tuna and I have dietary restrictions so no butter and no oil and they managed to grill the tuna and use lemon instead!! I thought that was so creative because it tasted sooo good. The Dorado was also super good! There are mosquitos and I denied the bug spray offered because of the smell but I did wake up the next morning with a lot of bug bites, my fault, so use it. The water is gorgeous and there’s a turtle who likes to visit. You can also see crabs. Very dim lighting. Overall recommend trying this restaurant!

So my wife and I had asked the locals which is the best restaurant to go to with food that really pleases the palette and in similar reactions, 90% of them said that we must go to “Coal Pot”. Scratching our heads, the name didn’t sound like a place that would serve good food, but we took the 30 minute journey south along the coast of Saint Lucia to look for this highly recommend restaurant. Upon completing and devouring our food, the wife and I were blessed to have come to such a fabulous family owned and run establishment that leaves your mouth watering for more good food. The son, who is the chef, was fantastic and knows about fine cuisine and definitely hits the mark for realty pleasing the palette. I as well will highly recommend this place for travelers whether by air or sea, definitely come find this spot for some very tasty, and I mean, really tasty food!!!!

We celebrated our anniversary here- perfect spot! The staff went out of their way to mention it, and were so on top of things. Even as a picky eater- all of the food is so good! We loved every bite. A lovely setting, with delicious food for an Anniversary dinner. We had the top half of the menu (all appetizers in pics) with a crisp bottle of white. Every dish was delicious (special mention to the curry, mussels, goat cheese tart and liver, mushroom pastry dishes). How does a 5 star resort have such a terrible road leading into it? Do they do it to deter people that don't travel by boat or helicopter? Do they do it because they don't want to spend the money to repair the millions of pot holes in it? I was going 3 MPH and I thought my SUV was going to fall apart. Hugely disappointed. We had previously looked at the website twice, where there is no information to make a reservation at the restaurant. We tried calling multiple times on different days, and the call never went through. I called the resort, they gave me a different number to try, which also didn’t work.
Upon arrival to the gate, we were told we couldn’t enter. She said she didn’t see any reservations on the list tonight, and we need to have made a reservation to get in. It was 7 pm, three hours before closing. I asked if we could make a reservation now for anytime that night and she said no. Very inaccessible, massive disappointment. This was to be our lovely last dinner on the last night of our honeymoon in St. Lucia. Down the road, Sunset is a safer option.

This was our first time at Jade Mountain, and while very nice, not sure I loved it enough to go back. Food was totally wonderful - everything from start to finish. Atmosphere was of course fantastic, but then again, too many good views on St Lucia. Because it is so high and open, the least little breeze makes it a bit cold. I would recommend bringing a jacket.
Perhaps are only complaint was the extremely slow, and inattentive service. Drinks sat empty for a long period of time. It was an inordinately long time between courses,and it took forever to get our check, and then for them to cash us out. For the whole dinner, it was near 3 hours, just too long. Considering the prices and staff, I really thought they could do better. A relaxing meal is one thing, but I simply can't imagine staying at Jade Mountain, and doing a 3 hour dinner almost every night because I purchased the food package.

A scenic, open concept restaurant with basic, yet tasty food. You definitely feel like you’re outside, while being sheltered from the sun.
This restaurant offers a breathtaking view of the pitons in the background.
While we did have a reservation made for our party of 9, the service was quite slow and the wait for food took nearly an hour. My meal actually took 20 minutes longer to come out than the rest of my party which wasn’t ideal.
The cocoa-infused food and drinks tasted good, however, you are definitely paying more for the view/ experience. The food is a bit overpriced, but that is normal for the Carribean. Nonetheless, we had a lovely lunch- a must see in Saint Lucia! 🇱🇨

We stopped here after a long day. It was getting close to this establishments closing time, but the sign out front said to knock. We are happy we did. They obviously had a slow night, but the owner Orlando offered to make us some to go boxes. While we waited for those, he sat us at the bar with Chris, where we had some very good conversations and libations. Amazing l 5 course tasting menu dinner with my family / party of 6. The food was incredible. The rib on the bone was one of the best I ever had, as was the pumpkin/ carrot soup. We also had amazing risotto with king fish, chocolate brûlée (to die for), salad, a couple of complimentary snacks, and coconut pie!

This is a slice of luxury. We booked for lunch and arrived at 10am. We knew we couldn’t hire beds on the beach but what we didn’t know is that because we had a reservation we could use a double bed attached to the restaurant. We had amazing views over the bay, sheltered from the blazing sun by a huge tree. The snorkelling here was great and in the rock pools we found lots of fishes and hermit crabs.
The cocktails and food are one of the best we’ve experienced on the island. It’s expensive but it’s good. Great kids menu, our boys 5 & 8 ate all their food and enjoyed the puddings.

I would recommend getting there just before sunset and enjoying a drink on their beach. We got there just after sunset and enjoyed hearing the crashing waves while we indulged in our food. Came over due to the inedible food at sandals and so glad we did.
The place is 91 steps down from the street which also makes it 91 steps up so be aware of that.
We were seated peoples and listed to some nice Caribbean music in the background which did not detract from the waves crashing on the beach. Our waitress was warm and gracious. We started with the corn ribs which were fantastic. Spicy, sweet. Great flavor. We also had the ceviche which was served with some tortilla chips and they were bright and flavorful.
I had the Maui with pumpkin curry which was fresh and delicious. We also had jerk chicken skewers which was perfectly spicy and served with a great coleslaw which my spouse loved.
Corkage was $35 US. Not an inexpensive meal but well worth it.

We made a reservation but it didn’t seem like we needed it when we came in early December for lunch. We ordered the hummus, pork skewers and the calamari. The hummus and local bread was our favorite. We stayed in the hotel and had breakfast that was included and it’s just ok. The fruit was hit or miss every morning. When items were gone, it took forever to replenish. Some mornings they served drinks and coffee and other times, I had to just go serve myself because we were so thirsty and I tipped every morning but it didn’t make a difference. The only thing consistent was the lady who makes eggs however you want. She was great! We also had dinner one night and honestly, it was overpriced for the meal we received, paid ($68US) for 2 people. I think we enjoyed seeing the cat everyday the best!

I am very disappointed with the service at your establishment. I made dinner reservations on the 14th of April 2025 for the 24th of April 2025. When I called, I told them that it was a birthday and im asking that a table be decorated for that occasion, which they agreed to.I again called on the 23rd of April to confirm my dinner reservations. When I got there on the evening of the 24th, I was told that they were not seeing my reservations. I was kept standing over an hour and a half before I was seated. Duke’s was recommended to me, but to be honest I found it without realising this was the place; I was bamboozled by the huge queue of people waiting patiently. I asked a local and she said it was the best place to eat and she isn’t care about the wait. That was enough for me together with the queue. So I waited. And waited. The queue behind me continued to grow. This place doesn’t stop. When we got close to the front, we had to wait for a freshly grilled batch of barracuda to come off the grill. You can have your fish with rice or bread and salad and they offer a garlic sauce on the fish, which I was told by my family was delicious. My family ate every bit of it and plan to come back again! A must for Fish Friday visitors. Don’t worry about the queue, soak up the environment!

A friend and I were looking for a local place to get lunch after a long day of exploring. The grilled fish, potato salad and yellow rice with the garlic sauce was delicious. Chose The Pavilion for my birthday dinner and it was incredible! The staff made the entire experience feel first class. The views from this restaurant are absolutely breathtaking. Our server was very knowledgeable when it came to explaining the menu and helping us choose what food to order. We would highly recommend ordering the lobster and lion-fish as they were so flavourful and well prepared.

We ate the majority of our meals here over our 5 day stay at the hotel and the staff and the food were impeccable! Amazing friendly service and a menu which changed daily and featured fresh local produce. I am particular and hard to please with food and the kitchen here at caille blanc did not disappoint! amateur hour here so beware. There is one “server” who is waiting on all the tables (6 of them) and also has to tend bar - so the service was extremely slow. We had to pour our own water and wine due to the lag. the menu is bizarre - featuring pringles for $7 can probably be taken off 🤣 it kills the vibe. Also - they claim to have homemade ice cream but we saw the half gallons purchased before dinner so that’s not very transparent. The food was great. We had the lionfish and the jerk chicken and found both to be tasty. The views from this spot are amazing. The staff were all so helpful and friendly. They made sure our dining experience was special and one to remember! Our server, Hilarious, asked what our wedding song was.
