Here is an overview for anyone on the fence: Rooms: We stayed 6 nights in the cheapest room since we never intend on being in the room often. I’d say it was pretty clean but the reviews were correct that it could use an update. Wallpaper was peeling and other cosmetic things could be done but not a huge deal. There was mold in the shower as I had previously read. The beds were comfortable. We did kill 3 baby cockroaches as well within the first few days. For it being a small room, it was a good size. Double sink in the bathroom which was helpful and a lot of space to unpack clothes. Breakfast: The breakfast was really good contrary to the reviews I read. Laura is AMAZING. When she was in charge of breakfast, it is organized and well stocked. She has such a friendly personality and makes you feel at home. It was a very good variety of typical breakfast foods that you would expect with omelette and eggs made fresh when you order. Pools and Spa: we didn’t use the spa but if you sign up to be a member for free, you get one hour of pool access per day. We thought it was very nice. Romantic lighting throughout with a salt pool, regular pool, cold plunge, heated seats in a relaxation room, sauna, and steam room. Highly recommend. Rooftop: beautiful views! The pool area is small with only about 6 chairs to sit out but never had a problem grabbing one if we wanted to hang out and lay in the sun after getting back from the beach. Staff: the staff generally was very helpful, kind and approachable. We absolutely loved Alex and Laura!! There were only a few staff members that were distant or felt short in their communication. Location: perfect!! Not even a minute walk to the sea and a generally prime location to get anywhere within 10-15 minute walk. Despite some of the issues with our room, I would stay again and recommend to others. We are pretty low maintenance travels and to only spend about $1200, what we got for it was pretty good. The staff really went above and beyond in any way they could so that helped offset the issues with the room.

Shutout the blackout curtains and went off to sleep to recuperate. Enjoyed walking on the beach in the afternoon/evening. The hotel is right next to beach. The breakfast lady was a little rude the first day (a confusion with respect to breakfast start times), but she made it up the following days and was nice for the rest of the days. The breakfast spread is nice and varied as well. Loved the mushrooms, sausages, smoked salmon and the fresh orange juice. The check in process was super easy and the receptionist was friendly. However, his colleagues, who we encountered more frequently were not as accommodating. The hotel communal areas have charisma and character but again, lacked the finishing touches. Wall lights with no covers, lights that didn’t work, some of the fixtures did not have bulbs in. The breakfast was very reasonable and had a good selection. However, we did notice that the hot food was placed out before it opened, and there was a lot of food. So no fresh food brought out through out the 4 hour service until something needed replenishing, and when it was replenished they only made very small amounts. Right from coordination of reservation thru emails to our welcome and then the actual dinner and show... Everything was impeccable. Usually shows that come with dinner have very average food but not this one. They have set menus for even vegetarian and vegans. We were 17 of us and everyone enjoyed. The drinks service is very nice. Of course, you have to pay for cocktails as they are not included. Wine, beer and cava is. We took the all included package with premium seats. I think one doesn't need premium seats as the show is equally enjoyable from all locations. The dinner and drinks are served first followed by the show. The show was just so entertaining. We stayed for 6 nights and had the best time! We travelled from the airport to Sitges by train, we were delighted to find the hotel was a very short walk from the train station. So helpful and personable, the staff were all so nice and went out of their way to make our stay perfect. The room was great! There are downsides- the hotel doesnt have a reception, you have to check in at hotel romantic around the corner, but its a 30 second walk. Same for breakfast/drinks/luggage storage. There is a telephone in the room as well as in the lobby if you wish to contact the reception. If you book a ‘double or twin’ room and you are a couple, I’d advise to call up and ask for a double bed rather than twin beds (but they can put it together for you upon request on the following day). The room was a decent size, a good bathroom with a bath and shower. The bedroom was very sweet, with wooden beams across the ceiling and lovely decor. The room also comes with a mini fridge which was handy and a very large wardrobe. Air conditioning plus a high speed fan which instantly cools the room. We got unlucky with the window situation in our room as it was not a very big window so we didnt get much light but we didn’t stay in the room long so thats okay! And we chose not to have a balcony. The pictures on the website and other booking sites do show some of hotel romantic (especially the buffet) so bare that in mind. Otherwise, the beds/room decor is accurate. The walls are pretty thin- i could hear when the room next to us were in the bathroom and were showering- felt incredibly weird! But other than that, it was a lovely stay, clean room, housekeeping were very sweet as were reception staff. Thank you so much! If we were to come again we’d try either Hotel Romantic or the other one :)

Not really a dark room as such but a segregated section off the large bar area upstairs, and if you get frisky in the bar bit you get asked to go into the cruise section. The shower show (it's not interactive!!) wasn't running when I was there on a Friday night, so no idea when it does perform.
