If you sit on the back patio, you can see a beautiful mountain side across the valley. And one of the vineyards and the farmhouse and green fields! The wines are lovely, our favorite was the chardonnay, however there were multiple wines we really enjoyed. We give these folks high marks for their professionalism and courtesy. We highly recommend them if you will be going to the Charlottesville Virginia area.

We went here late afternoon and got some red wines to try. I literally have no idea that red wine has different variations and so, because of the wine tasting we did, I found out my preferred type and it was enjoyable! The wines are amazing! The whole King Family Vineyards offers such a cozy place with lots of wines to choose from. They also sell frozen treats, souvenirs, clothing and more. The staff are nice, too. I've got to see people hanging out and having fun, enjoying a beautiful day around the vineyard. Some folks play some polo, too! This place is really beautiful because you see so much greenery and mountains around that makes this place the perfect spot to relax and unwind.

Very pleasant and interesting experience. All required knowledge about riding a horse was explained well, so I didn’t have any fear being in a saddle. It was great to learn that most horses chosen for polo games and for lessons are female ones, who are known to be competitive and gritty. I enjoyed trying out a beginner lesson and was happy to get photos on a field and at the stable with a horse that Ali took skillfully. I’m excited to book another lesson in the future. We love King Family Vineyards because of the local feel and beautiful views, so when I was looking for a proposal location for my sister, I immediately was hoping for KFV. There are several wineries in the area that charge proposal packages or fees for professional photography, so I was apprehensive to reach out to them as I was trying to avoid additional costs. When I inquired, the co-owner got back to me saying that his main goal was to "help make the day as magical as possible and that their goal was to 'pour back' into the community". After a couple calls sharing my vision, James helped plan the event with our photographer and provided so much help and detail helping to perfectly plan every detail & person I wanted to include (even down to a google map & timeline with labeled pins - so techy!). He was also able to change the entire date and plan at a last minute due to travel issues. The day of was MAGICAL! We felt like we had the most exclusive, intimate, and amazing views the vineyard had to offer with some amazing perks the day off, as well! 100000000/10 recommend. We visited Smoked while in town visiting family. Our visit was on a weekend evening between 5 and 8pm, the establishment was not busy. Smoked is set up in a way that prefers you to order via their online App. This is a trend that I have noticed is gaining popularity in the restaurant scene. If you prefer not to use the app a staff member can still talk your order for you at the front desk. On this trip I ordered a customized burger with fries and a drink. The food did not take long at all from time of order to time it hit the table, and was hot and of good quality. Prices were about on par with expectations regarding the quality of the meal. As a side note, while reviewing the menu and deciding on what I was going to eat I noticed an option for 5 "jumbo" Chicken wings for $12. I am unsure how jumbo these wings are, as we did not order them, but I cannot imagine any wing is jumbo enough to warrant almost two and a half dollars per wing. Thankfully most of the menu items, in my opinion, are very reasonably priced with the exception to this anomaly. Overall when I find myself back in Crozet it is very likely I will end up back at Smoked at some point. They make a wide range of their own sauces and have a surprising number of interesting sides that are not typically found at a restaurant. They have quite a few desserts too. We were visiting from DC and was looking for some Asian food. Found this place on Google and decided to try it. I was in the area on vacation and we hit up Fardowners for the second year in a row due to the great experience we had the first time! We started off with appetizers of onion rings and "tatchos", which is basically a nacho platter with tater tots instead of nachos. This is an interesting concept and it didn't take long for our party to devour them. Absolutely nothing bad to say about the onion rings. For a main course, I HIGHLY recommend the Reuben or the Southern Belle, the former being one of the best I've had anywhere! Overall, Fardowners was once again a great experience and will continue to be on my list of "must visits" when I am in the area!

First off the views are drop dead gorgeous. I was simply awestruck. The food was also fantastic! I ordered the popcorn chicken bites which were delicious and you can hardly tell it's not chicken. The tamari ranch was to die for and the buffalo sauce was great too. I also got the loaded hashbrowns and they were cooked to perfection, crispy outside and soft inside. The chai later was delicious. My friend got gochu sliders and they were amazing too. And she said the tuna boats were delicious. This place is unassuming, small but absolutely lovely. The drive was beautiful- along the farms and on the gorgeous Virginia countryside. The view of the vines from the patio is delightful and the wines were nice. Their 2019 Cabernet had just won a prize the week before and I’m glad we were able to sample it.
