I have probably landed in BZE airport about 20+ times. Not only does the airport have so many flaws, but it looks like everyone just turns a blind eye to everything. Many tourists that are in that line (which was over 2 hours) were saying they would never be back just because of the 8 custom agents trying to efficiently take several hundred PAPER custom forms, sign them, check them off, stamp the passport, fill some more paperwork without ANY COMPUTERS - for each tourist. Or, of course, facial recognition camera. What a waste of everyone's time. But of course, the air conditioning is not available until you get very close to the booths. On my last few times to Belize, the tourists have been very patient, but they always talk about how they will not return. Of course, after waiting 1 or 2 hours or maybe 2.5 hours (like this last trip), almost all the agents we usually encounter are pretty rude or non-professional. I have been to many other smaller, less fortunate countries that welcome tourists with open arms and go out of their way to make the experience a pleasant, efficient experience. I know this review will not make much difference or any decision on the future of the airport/other areas but I would be doing a huge disservice to my heart by not voicing what I feel...because I care so much about this beautiful country...and I want only the best for the people here and for tourist to fall in love with Belize, like we have.

Beer, wine, frozen drink, speciality cocktails, etc. We tried the Bahama Mama and the Yellow Bird. Served in huge glasses, potent, and sweet… very sweet, lots of fruit juices used. The bad stuff… service was slow. And the place was pretty empty. A lot of the physical premises is in need of repair. We ordered a can of sparkling water, and the top of the can was filthy. That’s a Belizean thing, like when they serve beers wrapped with napkins wrapped around the top, it’s to clean the top before drinking. The top of the bottle of hot sauce on the table was disgusting, obviously not cleaned in some time. Excess hot sauce and crust all over the top and lid. Finally, expensive for what you get. An OK experience, but we probably won’t go back, lots of other restaurants in the area.

The food was not bad at all. Some items were better than others and some ppl have different opinion. I enjoyed my lobster with the cooked veggies and onions. First of all you walk into to the theather through a wooden door that opens DIRECTLY into the lobby. So whenever the door is open the whole theather lights up, and bright beacon of light shines right unto the screen. This also happens to be the only door in and out of the theather so whenever someone goes to the bathroom the door open up and blinds everyone watching this film. Also because the door is so poorly sealed laughter and other sounds from the lobby can often be heard in the theather throughout the movie. As you walk into the theather they hand you any of an assortment of used 3D glasses that are clearly quite worn/recycled. The theather smells funny and is dirty. The once bright red carpets are stained into various hues of brown yellow an black. The fold up seats have seen their best days about 15 years ago. Many of the seats are torn, and those that aren't the cushion has been sat out of it long ago. Don't touch the seats every seat bottom and armrest is covered in old gum and other weird sticky bits. Finally we are about to watch the movie. The speakers are too small and shot to hell, and so they fart whenever the gain gets turned to loud. Mind you the volume is never too loud as the system is clearly underpowered. You never truly get that immersive theather feel. Finally we come to the screen, the screen is quite small less than half the size of any real theather. Also the projector bulb is likely very old as it was nearly impossible to see anything in the darkest scenes of the film. All in all it was still a decent experience, I would definitely not reccomend, but I may go again. PS. Don't try to watch a 3D movie here, you will not enjoy it.

He has such great knowledge of Belize itself, along with sharing a lot of details of the ancient ruins and the history of the Ruins. Our driver Kris and cave guide Akeem truly made this an unforgettable adventure. Kris drive us from Belize City all the way to the dirt road. The tour guide was a new junior tour guide; she was very knowledgeable and laid back. Before doing your tour, make sure you stop at the restaurant located in the same lot. We spent some time taking shots, and my brother's partner got his hair braided, and the people were super nice and super humble. I love that in a restaurant owner. We will be back.
