I am severely lactose intolerant but gave their milkshakes a try despite my better judgment, and they are absolutely fantastic. You might think that a lavender farm isn’t terribly interesting if the flowers aren’t in peak bloom, but our experience this week proves quite otherwise. For the low price of only $5 per person, you can walk amid their peaceful field full of 20,000 lavender plants. But before we even got out into the lavender, we had the most special, genuine, and informative conversation with the sweet lady at the ticket booth. It was immediately clear that she had a great love not only of the lavender farm but Washington Island as a whole. She gave us detailed information about the farm’s history and made many other recommendations of places to stop and experience while on the island. She even wore purple glasses and a purple floral blouse - her pride was evident in every aspect! We walked amidst the lavender and also tried one of the lavender lemonade slushies, which was delicious! And despite the lavender not being at peak bloom, it was still a relaxing and informative stop on the island. Highly recommended!

Bartender works his butt off and the food is very good. It's not cheap but what do you expect on an island. I would consider it a high end touch on bar food. Super good wings and burgers. Also the cool old fishing photos in the bathroom always hit close to home for a lifetime wisconsin fisherman. Everyone we meet here including the staff is super nice.

I debated on a scooter rental or just driving the car, but I think we made the right choice with the bikes. Four hours was almost a enough time to see everything we wanted, including spending over an hour at Jackson Harbor Soup for some lunch. The bikes do about 20mph as the top speed in Turbo mode and are a great way to take in the sites, smells, and even the temperature differences on both sides of the island. No issues with cars coming too close, or road hazards on the island and everything was great. If we go back I'll definitely be doing the e-bike tour again and probably do it for the full day rental so we could have spent more time relaxing at some of the beaches and maybe see a few more things.

We drove past the place a couple of times and then called the phone number provided to get directions. It turned out that we were actually in front of her drive way. She explained to us that she currently was not letting people ride the horses but she was happy to show them. We stopped by her home which was on the left of the main driveway where she then lead us to the area where her horses were being kept. Due to some unfortunate health issues she has incurred the place was not as pristine as I am sure it once was, but that in no way took away from the joy of meeting this unusual horse breed. I recommend that anyone in the area that likes animals, especially horses should stop by for a visit. I suggest calling first to make sure she is home. She does not require any fee for visiting the horses, but will accept a donation to help her purchase feed and for Vet care. This nice lady will give you a very detailed history lesson of these beautiful and gentle horses.
