You can purchase tours (book ahead because they do get sold out) or do your own thing for free! Dress appropriately to take the trails to the water! We unfortunately didn't have the time to walk there but the pictures looked amazing! There is a free shuttle that takes you to the barn (unfortunately not to the water tho) which is also a short hike if you would rather walk. It was so fun and interesting to learn about their cheddar making process with a glass wall that allows you to watch the cheese makers during the day and interactive activities for both adults and kids. The animals are adorable and friendly and there are daily farm demonstrations throughout the day where you can meet an animal or get some insight on wool collection or cheese making. The bakery has fresh bread, there's a cafe where you can get lunch and there's plenty of outdoor seating around the super gorgeous restored barn building. Definitely plan to spend at least a half day walking the grounds, learning about animals, cheese and trees.

They transported entire buildings here in addition to artifacts in what feels like its own small town. Be aware that there is A LOT of walking here, but they do have shuttles if necessary. Regardless, wear comfortable sneakers. There is something for everyone here. Our kids (6,8 years old) loved the circus museum, the round barn full of old cars, the steamboat, and the school house. I loved all of the former along with the log cabin full of taxidermy big game, the lighthouse, the Wyeth and Grandma Moses paintings in the mansion. We were here for five hours and didn’t get to see everything. Could easily do two days here and split some time between the museum and Shelburne Farms. It’s a must see if you’re in Vermont, and many of the locals also recommended it. Bonus points for Fiddlehead Brewery being located right across the street, and beautiful surrounding views. Absolutely love it here.

Authentic buildings and artifacts that were moved to the museum so you are walking in an actual piece of history. Friendly staff and a shuttle service for those that do not want to make the walk or need a little help. The walk is a good one! We spent 4 hours touring the grounds. Decent restaurant that serves basic lunch, snack, ice cream and beverages. A couple of gift shops and several rest room facilities throughout the grounds. 100% worth the trip just plan on some walking and plan about 4-5 hours to really see it all.

Traditional breakfast was fine, lots of bacon and potatoes and eggs were good. Bread was a bit thin and too crispy. Honestly my favorite thing was my son’s buttermilk pancakes-not a pancake person but these were executed so dang perfectly! What’s the recipe?! We’ve already booked another res and will def be back.

After 3 more weeks of waiting (and following up, because apparently they don't have the ability to contact you, and will only give you updates if you reach out for them), the headboard was delivered... the only problem was that it was THE WRONG HEADBOARD. I finally got around to calling them about a week after the WRONG HEADBOARD was delivered to inform them of the mistake and all of a sudden it became MY FAULT that I had waited so long to tell them about the discrepancy. I assured them that they did not want to start a conversation with me about delays... They also informed me that their receipt listed a "solid maple" bed, but I assured them that my receipt listed a "cherry panel", obviously they were not capable of tracking a product through their system from purchase to delivery. None of this would have bothered me SO MUCH except for the fact that their sales associate AND owner were extremely rude about the entire situation and more convinced that I had made some sort of mistake rather than trying to correct the situation. Burlington Bedrooms will not be receiving any more of my business, I plan to inform every person I know that I would not recommend they bring their business, and I hope this review proves helpful to anyone who may be considering purchasing furniture from this store.
