This second occasion, i noticed many people were not having the so-called famous noodles but instead were happily eating rice with different types of fish in an assam pedas sauce. So I came back a third time and had a plate of rice with a sunny side up egg on top (RM 3.00) and a hot bowl of their ikan pari (stingray) assam pedas (RM 12.00). After tasting the assam pedas sauce, i understand why the mee bandung is no longer taking centrestage. The assam pedas was piquant and flavourful and was perfect with a plate of rice. he portion was adequate and the sauce was generous enough to almost banjir (flood) the rice. Would I recommend it? Due to limited choices, we ordered penang curry, CKT, Hokkien noodle and a desert, for drinks we ordered ice kopi & hot kopi. The drinks took 20 minutes of waiting, and very sweet. The food is simple penang food yet it took a good 40 minutes of waiting. The curry was OK, but the CKT & Hokkien noodle was below average. I noticed at least 2 table did not finished their food and left. The desert was just a plain jelly and add is gula melaka, nothing special.
