Last night I had Greek salad and added chicken. It was the WORST thing I've ever eaten. Firstly the salad - had 2 cherry tomatoes and consisted of very little anything else except a large amount of very salty olives and mixed lettuce - this is not a greek salad, nor did it contain the ingreedients advertised. The dressing - was pure oil. The chicken - was OFF!!!! It was probably 100g if that cut into burnt over cooked slices that smelt like fish - were slimy to touch and tasted like they had been soaked in bi-carb to soften, prior to being frozen and thawed again, then cooked on or on god knows what. As a person who spent many years working in hospitality i can say in no way was the food edible, and likely was unsafe to eat. After just 1 bite of chicken I pushed it to the side - and picked at my over priced lettuce waiting for my husband to finish his dish. He had baked barramundi, his salad was very wilted and had obviously been prepared in the days prior as it was soggy and appeared to have *frige burn*. Sweet potato was semi cold in the centre so again, clearly reheated food not fresh. Anyway...... I spent the night feeling like I was going to throw my guts up. Considering that day id only eaten a Musli bar and some fruit i can easily say it was a result of the " food " from here. I didn't bother to adress this with kitchen staff at the time for two reasons- The lady serving was rude to start with - And honestly if that's the quality of the food coming out - i didn't want to exchange it for anything else. They provide a range of Charcuterie and Cheese Boards and share plates, and the quality, presentation and attention to detail is impeccable. Our lovely daughter gave us a voucher for the Epicurean so off we went. We enjoyed excellent food although I confess that we lack experience of the subtleties involved. I suspect that this would not apply to some other diners who appeared to be regulars. Service was friendly, helpful regarding what we were being served and efficient. No long waits. The food was fantastic, a highlight for us was the ‘Thai Street Food’ and the chilled squid salad but we will be back to try more! They were so delicious I could have eaten way more. The passion fruit cocktail was also a highlight. Highly recommended. Make sure you book ahead because they are usually booked out between 6.15 and 8pm most nights.

A dark room with leather couches and red velvet curtains, and great classic rock music. Fantastic service, too, attentive and friendly. Absolutely the place to go if you need to relax after a day in the sun.

This year however it seems like the level of care factor has really dropped. Our bartender was great however both Friday and Saturday night he was the only staff on hand & was rushing around with a pretty packed house. We ended up leaving as we understood that he didn’t have the time to get to everyone and create the cocktails we were used to getting here. Normally they’re super elaborate, and you can sit at the bar and have a great conversation with the bartender, we visited again tonight just as it opened and got to engage a bit more which was great, you can tell he was super passionate about his job which is always part of the experience.
