Unfortunately when we arrived this evening there was a VERY loud party of 6 in the restaurant which wasn’t a great start! We ordered our food from a very pleasant and attentive young man. My husband’s starter along with my own was garlic mushrooms. I found the sauce to taste a little bland and almost “watered down”. Our main courses (2 pasta dishes) were extremely salty. So much so that I only ate a few forkfuls and my husband left mussels behind!!…..not at all normal for him! Even my children commented on the chips with their meals being salted quite a bit. My husband was particularly disappointed as we don’t tend to eat out as a family that often so it was unfortunate. On a positive note, the staff we encountered couldn’t have been nicer and extremely apologetic when we mentioned how salty the food was. Our bill was reduced by the cost of my main course by way of apology. We did leave a tip in the end purely for the young man who served us. I would certainly value him as an employee if I were the proprietor.

That's my only disappointment. We definitely will come back and try other dishes and treats. Great place with great atmosphere. And even place at 11 am was super busy and people were waiting for about 20 minutes to get seated waitresses were very kind, professional and smiling. It was really really nice first impression about The Foxy Bean.

The staff don't even seem to know what they're making, constantly looking back at the menu to see what's supposed to be on the sandwiches (and still managing to make them incorrectly.) Immediately upon getting to the counter and her asking for our order, she began giving us rude facial expressions, visably annoyed and judgemental, which caught us completely off guard. We were nothing but civil and polite the entire interaction and the attitude came out of nowhere. We got a single footlong BMT sandwich, toasted with 3 total toppings and every step of the way, she was either chatting with the man who was standing in our way to the register and dressing station or she was giving us disgusted rude side eyes and huffs and sneers. Then when our sandwich came out of the oven, she took it to the dressing station, which the man was blocking. They were in active conversation, so my friend and I kept being polite and waited, only for her to glare across the counter at us, puff her shoulders up and shout at us "Yeah!?", So I, from the bread and meat part of the counter had to try to tell her the toppings, each being garnished so lovingly from her with mean looks and little mumblings to the man AND THEN her broken english lead to her not explaining that they were out of a certain sauce very well and she got even more hateful with me when I misunderstood her and repeated the sauce. The transaction ended with her snatching my note and then literally dropping my change into my hand. And with her last mean sneer, she turned on her heels to speed away from us to chat up the man again. Thankfully we were looking at her the whole time she was making our order, I'm positive that she would've spat into our sandwich if we weren't. The treatment was so unprovoked and intense that my friend and I were eager to leave the shop and we are astonished at how our visit to subway for a simple sandwich went. We had both wordlessly decided that we'd rather walk back into town in the cold to go to another shop to get drinks, sides, and treats for our sandwich rather than buying them from the subway as she made the environment so unwelcoming and honestly threatening. I sincerely hope the attitude and hatefulness gets checked or that someone loses their job. She wasn't mean and rude like that to the few customers we saw before us and there was absolutely no reason for the rude way we were treated, the dirty looks and snide, short responses as well as her ignoring us to chat up her boyfriend over the counter (who was not a customer). The employee was lucky that we didnt return the disgusting behaviour back at her, her dirty looks alone were enough for me to now avoid this establishment entirely. I wouldn't feel comfortable even entering the subway anymore in the chances that she will be there.
