I was originally going to get a craft beer but the selection was pretty limited. To eat, we shared the pretzels and the sprouts. The pretzels were decent but the sprouts stood out for me, which is a bit surprising based on my normal preferences. To eat, we shared a 1/2 rueben, 1/2 pimento cheese (its cool they let you do 1/2s), and a small house salad. The salad was fantastic with the pecans and vinaigrette and of the two sandwiches, I'd lean to the pimento cheese.

We went for Sunday brunch and I ordered the meatloaf with hash potatoes. My friend she got the chicken and waffles and for appetizer we had the kimchi hush puppies. We enjoyed the hush puppies it was delicious. I didn’t really care for the meatloaf. honestly 2/3 of the plate are potatoes and barely got any meatloaf and it was very salty I had to ask for ketchup to drown the saltiness. My friend’s waffle was ok but the chicken tenders were burnt and only had two teeny tenders. It was an ok meal for me it could have been better if I got 2/3 of meatloaf and less of the potatoes but it was the other way around so it was disappointing. Such a nice view. Food and drinks are good. Service is decent although my wife and mother got passed over and ignored twice at the bar. Some of the servers look like they're in high school. The location is in a neat spot at least. We attempted to eat here Friday night at around 7 and were told there was an hr wait so we got on a waitlist but also looked elsewhere to eat. Our table ended up being a high table in the bar area and all of the chairs were very wobbly and uneven due to the tile floor. I did notice two or three other open tables when we got inside so I was wondering why the wait was so long? The server was great and friendly but the wait for the food seemed a little bit longer than we typically wait at other restaurants. The potato skins were very dry and the hamburger might have been the saltiest burger I've ever eaten. Maybe not "salty", but just lots of seasoning or seasoned salt or something? Small Texas town Authentic Mexican Food This is not beef enchiladas with two cups chili powder and three cups of taco seasonings for flavor. This is the real deal. If you are looking for Tex Mex chain style food this is not where you are going to find it. Atmosphere is perfect. Not a huge restaurant, in fact you can tell they started small and have expanded over time. The food was perfect. Reminded me of my grandmother’s home made enchiladas. Service staff was awesome. Great presentation and quality of food. My problem was that it all seemed contrived and forced. Started with a small French Onion soup, the creamiest, richest take I've ever had - nearly a gravy, with baguette slice, cheese melted over and down the entire side of the bowl...so tasty we kept some as a dipping sauce for the Steak. Dinner was delicious, memorable, timely, incredibly generous proportion, cooked to perfection, exceeded our expectation. Steak and frites was the best cooked med rare, also asked for a side of dejon. Chicken Piccata was cheesy unique rice cake with a cream sauce... I could def ask for more sauce next time. Passed on dessert... Must remember to leave room for more. Leftovers were equally delicious the next day. Look forward to visiting for lunch, brunch and trying other menu items. Everything looks, sounds, seems to die for... The poached eggs were almost boiled (again, probably nuked in the microwave), and the whole thing didn’t really come together as a dish to me. The waiting staff a bit too casual for me; the place is cute but won’t be coming back. Good mimosa and cute place aren’t good enough, they need to improve the quality of their food.

Wimberly is low on Tex-Mex options so this was over due. I met my group in the back patio area which is basically a dirt floor like a baseball diamond. Very Marfa-esque. Folding chairs and tables give it a backyard reception vibe. First thing I noticed about the menu is it doesn’t offer quesadillas so that was disappointing. Sure it could be arranged however. Queso is white and creamy and pretty good. Chips here are also good quality and texture and crunch. House Margaritas have an overpowering floral taste that made my mouth pucker. Not the refreshing lime taste you’d hope for. I ordered the CA Burrito without black beans and it was a tad dry but the meat inside was tender and well flavored. The meat didn’t resemble carne asada as the menu indicated. It just tasted like fajitas that were diced up. Diced a bit too small I may add and not nearly enough meat to burrito size ratio for the price of $20. There had to be maybe 4oz of beef sadly. Overall I don’t recommend the CA Burrito as it does no justice to the real McCoy. More of a bogus knock off. The street corn was phenomenal and the best I’ve had anywhere. I would return for the corn alone and start with that.

Our server was Diego and he was prompt, informative and seemed to really take pride in making sure we had an enjoyable time. The inside has a great collection of decor with colors that complimented the theme of “Pretty Dang Fancy”. The second time we went for brunch and sat outside which had a great atmosphere and beautiful setup on the patio. We ordered the Eggs Benedict and McHildee, both of which were delicious. You can really tell the chef puts passion into each dish. Our server was Christian who was quite speedy with things but not as personable or interested in our experience as Diego. We made a reservation for Sunday as we were told they get busy quick, but they were not busy at all so it was a very calm time on the patio and we were in and out in less than an hour. Highly recommended going here and plan to come back in the future.
