Liked how they give you a big bowl of au jus. Nice amount of veggies served with it too. Although the salad bar isn’t huge, still enjoyed being able to make our own salads with many toppings of our choosing. Not many restaurants have this option anymore. Soup was also included and the corn chowder was good. Both soup and salad are as much as you can eat. So, factoring in the soup and salad bar, the $32 for an 8 ounce prime rib was not too pricy of a meal especially compared to a prime rib dinner elsewhere. Juliette was a wonderful waitress. Very attentive and friendly. Would stop here again if we travel through Kearney in the future.

Both times we got to enjoy the service of some amazing staff, listen to live music provided by a talented young lady alternating between harp and piano and also some really good food. I was particularly happy with my end cut prime rib. It was both an amazingly well selected piece of beef and exceptionally prepared. On the way home I decided to try the almond crusted salmon which again, was an exceptional dish in my opinion... but I just can't stop thinking about the prime rib. Anyway, the staff from the front of the house to the back were friendly and accommodating, I thought the prices were more than fair, the atmosphere was pleasant on both sides (the more formal side and the bar side) and the food was great. We'll probably never go through Kearney again without stopping here for a meal.

The mac and cheese was not spicy in any way and was incredibly dry with no gooey cheese goodness to be found. The ahi tuna was cooked medium rare, but when taking the complete bite of the taco, it was lacking bold or developed flavors. It was mostly the tuna flavor with a slight tang of the pickled cabbage slaw. The street sized taco shells were also a little tough. The prime rib was ok. It was ordered medium rare. It wasn't anything special, it wasn't bad, just bland. The au jus was tasty and held all the beefy flavor. Overall, we were unimpressed with our server due to initial neglect and even less so with the food. We would not make a return trip.

Al does it all great...but then, he's always been a fantastic chef (We knew his food from Tacoma, WA from WAY early 2000s). We're lucky he brought his skills here!!

As such it was kind of sweet, with a dominant plum/anise flavor. Szechuan lo mein is usually garlicky and savory, which was what I was expecting. Not terrible but I wouldn’t crave this.

Place gets very busy, I think the management is very poor, staff is all over the place. Not a team work environment. Very slow and not to much urgency in waiting people. Most of the servers are older and take there time. I waited a hour for my food to get to my table making my wait time almost 2 hours. Like I said very relaxed staff. Anyways, I was confused where the rice was, because I always loved their fried rice. Well the fried rice is now like 10 feet away from the white rice. So I go over there, and it's obviously old food. Just like a lot of other things on the buffet. I go over to get the General Tso Chicken, which has always been my favorite, and I load up my plate. I sit down, eat a piece of chicken, and immediately almost want to leave. The reason? The texture of the chicken is best described as an almost melted gummy bear coated in a very weird sauce. Nothing I've ever been accustomed to at this restaurant. "Maybe it was just this one piece", I thought. So I tried another, and another. I tried five separate pieces throughout my monster of a helping, and they all had the same texture. So I went to my drink that I ordered. Took a sip, and it was not Dr. Pepper. My wife ordered Pepsi. She took a drink of mine, and said "Yeah it's not Pepsi, but it's not Dr. Pepper either". I tried to eat other foods there as well, just to make up for the time, and almost everything just tasted absolutely awful. The only thing that kind of stood out was the vegetables, as they were the only redeeming quality. Back to other things that happened. I tried to get the "Shrimp Tempura", and the tongs were scorching hot. For some reason someone thought putting metal tongs over a buffet that is constantly pushing out hot steam was a good idea. I literally had to pull out a few pieces with my hands because of how hot the tongs were. By the way, while sitting at our table I saw a gentleman get a plate from the top of the stack, and his too had food encrusted on it and he tried scraping it off. I'm honestly just blown away by how bad this place has become. It was a lesson that we had to learn the hard way, but it'll definitely be a lesson we don't forget.

I think what would make it a better experience is instead of buffet style where the price is super high and they won’t let you take your left over soup home, that they should charge a lower price and limit the items that can be chosen and have an additional charge for any add ons. Like let’s say charge $19.99 for 2 meats, 3 vegetables and one noodle options and anything after that charge $1.50 per item or whatever and let them take their leftovers home!! You would have Happy customers and less food waste then!! Take away the buffet option and do it that way. That way nothing goes to waste. I felt so bad that our soup was being tossed out. And both our pots were still full. We assumed we would be able to take it home when we left. I’ve been to other hot pot spots and that’s the way they did it and we got to Take our soup home. Other then all of that the food was great. The attitude of the server could have been nicer. He seemed like he was fed up with life and it was our fault. I have to say we left fairly disappointed. As a caveat we sat in the restaurant portion and did not participate in the Hibachi service. The food was a major let down. Sushi was tasteless. Soup was even more tasteless. Bento box steak was very tough. So much so I couldnt finish it. On a positive note the salad was actually quite tasty. Drinks were pretty underwhelming.
