The seafood is outstanding—10 out of 10! We've been to this seafood restaurant twice, and each visit has been excellent. The crab cakes were a particular highlight, and the cod was also very good. We ordered a whole lobster, and the server kindly helped us clean it, which made the experience much easier and enjoyable.
The restaurant’s design is simple yet elegant. Despite being very busy during both of our visits, the service was friendly, attentive, and efficient.
A practical note: Parking in front of the restaurant is limited and paid, so we were lucky to find a spot.
Overall, highly recommended for seafood lovers looking for a top-notch dining experience. We'll definitely be back when we're in Newport, RI again!

Had a great lunch here while in Newport for the day. Warm Lobster Roll was fantastic. Not that i am an expert in Lobster Rolls, but can not imagine having it any other way. Although I know some of you do. Scallop chowder was good, but to me the base made it something i could not take a lot of. My wife like it over the clam chowder, and i preferred the clam. Worked out perfectly. Madisyn was great and attentive and our seats inside over looking the water provided a wonderful atmosphere.

We had a great dinner at The Mooring! The food was excellent all around. The shrimp ceviche was fresh and flavorful with just the right amount of heat, and the fish & chips were perfectly crispy with great fries. The chicken was juicy, with a bright chimichurri and creamy garlic mashed potatoes that really stood out. I was so excited to dine here Saturday for lunch. The food looked amazing on social media & my experience was just as great as it looked online. The seafood was delicious and fresh. The out door seating was beautiful and peaceful. When booking the reservation, I did request in the comments to be sat outside so I really appreciated that they honored that request. Our waitress Maddy was a doll. Super down to earth & consistently checked in on us. Everything was great!

Absolutely incredible experience! We arrived on our first night here to Newport, and everyone recommended dinner at The Mooring. We had reservations for a table, but we ended up having so much fun at the bar with bartenders Nick and Matt (and patron Jim) that we decided to hang with them for the evening. From Nick’s perfect cocktails (salted caramel espresso martini and of course a classic dirty) to Matt recommending local stops to see in town on our stay, we had a great experience - not like some highfalutin place that misses out on an authentic experience. We had reservations for dinner for 8pm but my husband called to see if they can get us in earlier. They accommodated us at 6:15pm even though they were completely booked. We were seated on the covered deck, however the view of the Marina was covered with thick, clear plastic which they could not open up. This not only obstructed our beautiful view but also prevented the circulation of air. It did get a little stuffy. Some other guests were not thrilled about this and decided to sit indoors. Other than that, our experience at this place was excellent. The drinks were refreshing and the food was delicious. Our server Jennifer was friendly & attentive. We were treated with a free dessert and a card signed by the employees for our anniversary.

An excellent seafood restaurant in downtown Newport. We’ve enjoyed Midtown on several occasions because of their nautical decor, amicable service, and menu variety. We shared the Lobster and Corn Soup and Quahog Stuffies and both were incredibly tasty. Mussels and Fries were served with a perfectly flavored garlic aioli and the Lobster Roll was hot, buttered, and suited my cravings. Definitely recommend stopping in for some fish fare when strolling down Thames.

Midtown Oyster Bar was fantastic. They were able to accommodate a party of 12 for our family’s wedding week dinner. The staff was very kind and attentive. The food was delicious, especially their seafood tower, lobster Cobb salad, truffle fries and lobster roll! We ended up with Lobster Roll, calamari and Cod. The Cod was not great.

Visited in early October on a Saturday , lunchtime. Place was not busy, market had steady stream of customers. We sat on the patio and it was very nice, you order inside and they bring your food and bus the tables when you leave. We both had the Cod (Fish&Chips). Food came out hot and pretty quick. It was very good the batter was well done , the fries are just normal standard fries. The inside seating is booths with a generic decor, think "Everytown House of Pizza" vibes. Value was on par with other places like this. Overall a good lunch and we will keep this on our list of places to revisit.

A short drive from Newport, this rustic restaurant with its seafood market and restaurant offers excellent value for money fresh seafood. We checked out what was available at the fish counter before ordering some oysters, a Rhode Island clam chowder, a New England clam chowder, hot lobster roll and fried sea scallops. We also had a root beer and lager that were recommended by the cashier that were brewed in Rhode Island. There was no table service but staff were very friendly and efficient in clearing the dishes from the table. The food was all delicious and very fresh.

If you're in Newport, outside the city center, or you don't like touristy places, this is the place for you. The place is very simple, with no waiters. You order your food and it's served on a tray, you can eat inside or outside. They also sell fresh fish, just like they cook it for you. The service is fast and organized. The best of the best. We got there when it first opened to avoid any lines and quickly ordered the Large Chowda and the Fisherman’s Plate.
The chowda options were regular, creamy, and spicy we ended up going for a creamy and it was a bit soupier than expected. Aside from that there were heaps of clams and potatoes loaded in. Extremely well flavored and not too heavy for the weather.
The fisherman’s platter is more than advertised with heaping amounts of fried clams, some scallops, calamari, shrimp and chunk of fish. All the seafood is so fresh and fried well and pair perfectly with their tartar sauce.

This was our first visit to this seafood spot, and it turned out to be a wonderful experience. The service was excellent, and the food tasted fresh and flavorful. Prices felt fair for the quality, and I’d definitely suggest trying the lobster roll—it was a highlight. The menu offers plenty of appetizers and entrées, so there’s something for everyone.

We had gone during a long weekend, so naturally the place was quite packed. Even with the crowd, the wait time was surprisingly short — we got a table in about 10 minutes, which was impressive.
As for the food, it was definitely enjoyable. I ordered the lobster roll, and it turned out really tasty. The filling was generous, and with the French fries on the side, it was quite a hearty meal. I also tried a bite of the fish and chips — that was even more delicious, maybe because of the crispy flour coating and frying 😋. The shrimp pasta too was flavourful and hit the spot.

Easy and fun spot if you are looking for a restaurant with good views! We stopped in after one of the sunset sailing tours and were happy to be warmed up with some clam chowder soup. The food was okay but not amazing so this is more of a spot if you have a large party or want water front scenery as there is a ton of seating. Their lobster roll is served cold so if you aren’t a big lobster person, wouldn’t go for that. The fish and chips were fine, can’t really mess up fried fish :) would probably still go back if with a group. Service was pleasant and there’s plenty of TVs if you’re trying to catch a game.

10/25 - Here on a NE bus trip & wanted to eat someplace with a view, boy were we happy with this place. Good food, good service and the view we were looking for. I went to eat at lunch time at a weekday and no wait or reservations needed. I got the clam chowder and fried seafood platter. The clam chowder was average nothing special but the fried clams had a weird taste. It tasted like it was not prepared properly, there was dark green and gritty substance with the clams. Fantastic meal and perfect coastal atmosphere. The lobster roll was fresh, generously packed with sweet lobster meat, and served on a perfectly toasted bun. The service was magnificent, and the food was delicious! The price is definitely reasonable for the meal, I would say it was between $35-$40 per person for a good portion of fresh lobster. Being a NYer that lives close enough to travel to Little Italy in NYC, we can be pretty particular and fussy about our food. ESPECIALLY about our Italian pasta restaurants and seafood. This place was recommended and booked for me on behalf of the nearby Vanderbilt hotel. I'm glad I came out of my shell and shelled out here instead of eating at the hotel. So, let’s talk about the food. I had the Bibb Lettuce salad, the linguine and Seared Scallops with Togarashi. So let’s get it started with the salad. It’s par for the course and good to start off with. It’s nothing to hype about. Don’t worry, things get better and appetizing, I promise. The scallops and linguine were definitely something that should be of note. Both were a delectable delight, especially the linguine. The linguine had clams and was made with a white wine sauce. The seared scallops were nice, soft and spongy. They weren’t overcooked or rubbery in texture. They were basically cooked and seared to perfection. The sauces made the seafood flavor pop and weren't overwhelming. The edamame was a good pairing to help with the scallop’s flavor profile. So in closing, it’s time to Shell out a 5 Star review for 5 Star service. A special shout out goes out to Kylie who was an excellent and attentive waitress and the bearded bloke in the blue blazer that came to check in on my mom and I. He must have been the manager. I didn’t catch his name, but he did come in to check and see if my mom and I were enjoying our food. Bring Your Appetite and Be Impressed because I was. When I visit this town again, I will definitely be stopping by Scales and Shells for another plate of perfection. The only negative gripe that I have is that I wish that they would open earlier.

We had our post-wedding dinner at Scales and Shells in Newport and it was absolutely amazing! The manager and staff were wonderful to work with—so accommodating and attentive throughout the entire process. I was able to customize our menu, which made the night feel even more personal and special. They were also accommodating with decorating, which I premade, and set up for the tiny details.

We had dinner there last night. One of the worst meals I've had dining out in a long time. Shrimp Scampi was served cold, 5 very dry shrimp on a cold bed of pasta with a bland sauce that was lacking in flavor and presentation. My wife's linguini with clam sauce was almost as bad. The focaccia bread was good as were the martini's. The server and staff seemed to be in a hurry to close down - the food came out within 5 minutes of being ordered (can't be freshly made to order that fast), the staff was cleaning and sweeping around us as we were eating. We felt super rushed. From the time we sat down at 8pm, we were done, paid and out the door at 8:35pm. We ate here 3 years ago and it was much better. It was bad. Never again.

We had the Caesar, crudo, sourdough, tuna and salmon. Everything was mind blowing except for the crudo, which was a good sashimi with some oil. One of the best meals we have had in a long time. The sourdough butter was salty Thanksgiving seasoning heaven. The Caesar was one the best, each bite was perfect. We wish there was a door on the back of house; we had inline view of the dishwashing station and bright fluorescent light, maybe some curtains. Also every person that walked into the far door was confused where the host stand. They eventually figured it out, but maybe a sign directing or close the door entirely. We wish we lived closer so we revisit time and time again. We will be back.

Despite some negative reviews I've seen, the seafood menu was very comprehensive. While a bit on the pricey end, it ended up being $80 per person with 3 swordfish entrees, salad, lobster bisque, shared grilled prawns and clam cakes.
Bisque: creamy, several warm chunks of lobster. Could use a bit more seasoning like salt/pepper.
Grilled prawn and risotto: although an entree, makes a great appetizer. Char grilled to perfection with a very tasty risotto.
Grilled swordfish: very tender and flaky with good charred flavor. Side spinach with corn and olives added the perfect earthy acidity.

Newport is a happy place for my wife and I. Brick Alley is a must-visit restaurant when in town. This trip we were a party of four. Absolutely enthralling decor and always excellent service. I put a picture of all that was ordered although I can not name them all. I had the salmon which was delicious but looked a little lonely as served. I ordered their award-winning Lobster Salad Sandwich, served cold as recommended. It did not disappoint—light, flavorful, and loaded with fresh lobster meat. It came with classic coleslaw and a side of sweet potato fries, which were perfectly crispy and just the right amount of sweet.
Before heading out, we also grabbed a few tee-shirts for our husbands—a fun way to support local businesses and take home something memorable. Little souvenirs like that always make vacations last just a bit longer when you’re back home.
If you’re in Newport and looking for a spot that’s full of personality, local flavor, fantastic bar area and great food, I highly recommend stopping in at The Brick Alley Pub. It’s now one of my favorite hidden gems from the trip!

We chose The Black Pearl because of its great Google reviews, without realizing how iconic it actually is in Newport. Their clam chowder is truly outstanding—later I found out it’s even sold canned in local shops, which makes total sense because it’s that good.
The oysters were excellent as well. The lobster roll, on the other hand, didn’t really convince me. It was served in a croissant instead of the classic hot dog–style bun I’m used to from Boston. Maybe it’s a local twist, but I personally didn’t love it.
Prices seemed fair overall. What I didn’t quite get was why they served my wine in a plastic cup on the outdoor terrace. We weren’t at a pool, and we weren’t so close to the water that it would’ve been necessary.
The atmosphere is extremely busy, especially at dinner time. The day I went was very hot, and since the terrace is open-air, there’s not much they can do with cooling. If you don’t like crowded places, I’d recommend visiting at a different time or day.
Overall, it’s a place worth visiting at least once if you’ve never been to Newport. I would go back, but definitely at a less crowded time.

Have been here several times before. The atmosphere and food are always very good. Their clam chowder really is award winning. On this visit we just got apps because we needed to get to a show. Had the crab cakes and shrimp with grits, both delicious. Only complaint was the Mojito was not good at all. Prices are average for Newport. Even on a busy Saturday, we were able to find a nice, quaint area at the second floor bar. We were greeted immediately with friendly bartenders, and their service remained impeccable through our entire time there.
We started with espresso martinis, and then let the food vibes take us where it wanted to go. It lead us to the truffle fries, which were arguably the best I've ever had. Then came a few oysters and the clam s chowder. Both were delicious, and if you love dill, you must the the chowder.

Great place to stop in for a drink and bite to eat. We enjoyed the berry sangria and summer breeze cocktails both light and refreshing.
For meals we we shared the crab cake appetizer filled with delicious crab meat and seasoned perfectly. Entrees were a woldorf salad with grilled chicken, a bit too much dressing and cranberries, the chicken was fairly bland even with the pesto esque marinade it was covered in.
The hot honey chicken sandwich was full of flavor but the farrier pieces were a big turn off, and in my spicy opinion, there was not enough of the jalapeno slaw. All in all, we would try again and try different meals.

First time visit. What can you say beyond the obvious, coastal dining at its finest. We made lunch reservations online 20 minutes before arriving. Complimentary valet, excellent! We were seated immediately upon arrival and treated to an amazing ocean view.

The biggest issue with this place is the parking. We hoped to use the valet but it was full when we arrived. We had to circle around the block several times looking for a spot and finally found a car pulling out of their street spot. We had to walk approximately 0.5 miles from our spot to the restaurant. Not a great situation for someone with parking anxiety like me.
We had a raw bar platter of clams, oysters and shrimp and everything was excellent. They give you more than enough cocktail sauce, mignonette, and lemon. Our lobster rolls were a little light on lobster but were pretty good, and for the price are OK value. The clam chowder was excellent. I highly recommend the Dubai chocolate gelato.

We loved the Bouchard Inn! Perfect location, clean, friendly staff and nice rooms. We stayed in the ribbon room which was spacious, had a king size bed and a cute bathroom. The room is situated in the front of the inn so you do hear the hustle and bustle of the nightlife but we were able to fall asleep with no issue. They provide a sound machine if necessary and the AC muffles the noise perfectly. Carmen was very friendly and accommodating. We really enjoyed the breakfast, the pastry and yogurt was such a nice treat! The room also comes with a coffee maker, juice and milk-Included with the room price. We had the most fabulous stay at The Bouchard Inn! The location was perfect—right in the heart of Newport and within walking distance to all of the shops, restaurants, and waterfront. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and full of charm, with thoughtful touches that made it feel extra special.
One of the true standouts of our stay was the hospitality. The General Manager, Carmen, was absolutely fantastic—she embodies hospitality in every sense. Warm, welcoming, and attentive, she made us feel right at home and ensured every detail of our visit was seamless.

This was one of my favorite stays at a hotel, period! It’s such a good location. You can walk to shops, restaurants and the elms easily. The room was clean and very comfy. An amazing perk is that they stock the fridge with free water, orange juice and milk daily! Something as small as that made the day so much better! And of course, the pastry and yogurt delivered piping fresh in the morning was just crazy nice- we woke up every day super excited to see what the pastry of the day would be. Met our expectations. A young man took our reservation when we got there, because we couldn’t get through on the phone (Maybe because it’s the start of the off season?).
The room was very comfortable, and included a nice mini fridge, keurig coffee maker with plenty of K cups, OJ, bottled water & creamer & milk. The warm pastry and yogurt with fresh fruit, was delicious.
Location is perfect, walking distance to the marina, shops & restaurants. You could walk to the Breakers, maybe over a mile?
There are 2 restaurants attached to the building, sadly neither were open when we were there (Tuesday).

Scotch eggs were about as flavorful and perfectly cooked as you can expect. Clam chowder was excellent. We also ordered endive salad blackened sword fish and beef Wellington. We visited here from out of state with high expectations. Every single one of them was exceeded. Good wine selection and great service. Make sure you make a reservation!
The dress code is clearly unenforced but perhaps it varies depending on different times of the night or who is hosting. My preference is just to commit to one of them, either drop the dress code or enforce it. Include a note with the reservation, & put up a sign outside so it is harder to claim ignorance regarding the website info.
The field greens had an exquisite minty + turmeric taste with candied nuts and it was a perfect appetizer! The lobster ravioli and lobster bisque are similar so make sure you want them both if ordering both. The duck legs were crispy on the outside and they were so good!
Would recommend going early so you can park in their free parking lot, I’m sure it gets full. One of the dining rooms is upstairs so be sure to request what you need in advance.

We came here at 1pm on a Wednesday in early Aug 2025. We sat alongside of the entrance to enjoy the beautiful weather and hustle and bustle of the wharf.
Our waitress was great. She was prompt. Drinks were quick to arrive and stay topped off.
We wanted a snack and not lunch, so oysters and heirloom tomato with burrata salad was just enough. Everything was so fresh. The chefs choice oysters were buttery and delicious, and the salad, bright, sweet, and the perfect partner to a beautiful summer day.

A wonderful experience! We went for a drink the night we arrived and just loved the bar filled with locals and friendly staff so made a reservation to return the following night for dinner and requested a table near the fireplace. So quaint and cozy! We arrived and had a delicious meal….oysters, sushi, lamb, and lobster! 😋 As we were finishing dinner a server going up the stairs next to us tripped and dropped an espresso martini shattering the glass and spilling on us. Once we realized we weren’t cut by the glass and just some spots on our clothes we couldn’t believe how concerned the entire staff was. Enjoyed a burger with my cousin who came from Dallas to visit. Atmosphere was good and there was a pianist playing (?) above us. It was a bit loud in there between the patrons and music but it was a Sunday and it was full of people enjoying brunch. Slightly snobby attitude from the hostess when greeted and seated but our waitress was good for the most part. I would have preferred a slightly shorter amount of time in between check ins and when it was time to ask for the check we were waiting for her return for a bit too long.
Burger was cooked perfectly to order, medium well, and the fries has the exact crunch on the edges and tenderness on the inside. No soggy fries here. It came with a pickle on the side.
There is a slight walk from the parking area but considering this is Newport, you have to find parking and it's all paid parking from what I could see.

Alex took great care of us! The pink lemonade was refreshing after walking the Cliff Walk. We started with the crispy calamari. My husband had the Barbacoa Burrito and I had the carne asada tacos. We were ravenous after the long hike and everything was delicious! 🤤

Ate here twice during our stay in Newport. They have a full vegan option menu and the food was fantastic. Love the festivals at Bowens wharf. Right in the center of Newport. On the water with bars and food, perfect location. Oyster fest is a blast with live bands and seafood. Fourth of July is so nice with the fireworks and celebrations. Love taking the sailboat and rum runner sunsets tours. Great stop on the bike tour! Was hesitant to try Mexican food in Newport but this looked a bit upscale and didn’t disappoint. Unique take on some dishes with a local twist. Clearly fresh ingredients. Chips and salsa and guacamole were a huge portion and delicious. Margaritas were super tasty and came in many flavors. Went with the duck tacos which were stellar but could have used a third taco for that price. Server was great, she was patient and helpful. Would recommend to anyone and it’s obviously popular being so busy on a Tuesday night in late October.
I’d say the only downside is the 1% addition to your bill for kitchen staff. I get the message and purpose but why not just pay your staff more rather than forcing your customers to subsidize your payroll?

Nice experience overall, glad we went during our short stay here while we’re trying to sample multiple places!

Found this place by chance because we’re in town for 5 nights and it’s right behind the Jailhouse Inn where we’re staying. We were tired of traveling so we decided to have dinner there due to proximity. What a hidden gem. Everything was exceptional with good food, service and atmosphere. Wonderful place! I’m an atmosphere and a “like to sit outside” guy and this place is one of my favorites. Depending on where you are seated, it feels like you are in a treehouse, the forest, or a beautiful patio.

What a great place! Having an atmosphere similar to some restaurants we used to go to in Spain, the feel is rustic.
Their red sangria is a premade mix and it is a little more dry, a little less sweet. The outdoor bar is a great area to sit and enjoy the outdoors.
The menu looked good but we just went out for drinks. While they were a bit on the higher end of prices, the place was worth it.

We were walking in Newport searching for somewhere to eat, and we were drawn to Smoke House because of the incredible smell! I’m so glad we did because it was fantastic. We were seated immediately upon arrival and the service was great. Our waitress was incredibly polite and helpful!
The food came out very fast! I got the Farm fresh salad and it was so delicious, the tomato vinaigrette perfectly complimented the sweet tomatoes and corn, and the cornbread croutons, while not exactly crunchy, were the perfect touch.
The brisket was moist and tender and so delicious, but it did lack a bit of flavor so I recommend using the house barbecue sauce at the table.
If you’re searching for a bite to eat in Newport, I would highly recommend stopping by smokehouse!

Have never been in here, so we decided to try this place and for a Sunday of 4th of July at 12:30, we were able to grab 4 seats at the bar. After our order of beer and cocktails, we ordered a brisket platter and pulled pork sandwich. The brisket was very tender, just not as “smoky” as the smells in this place would indicate. All of the staff was incredibly attentive, helpful, and went over the top to make sure we had a great experience. Our servers/food runners were great, the one server that stood out was Hope. tip: ideally secure a reservation as far in advance as possible, but you’re like us, and your dinner plans came together that afternoon, call and get on the waitlist to be notified if a seat opens.

Visited one evening for dinner while in town for a few days and was not disappointed! I made a reservation prior to showing up and the staff was attentive despite having to wait a while at the front to be seated-not because they were full but because no one came, although there were lots of staff about.
Despite being pregnant and unable to enjoy my favorite sushi, I'm still thinking about the vegetable udon noodles I had here. The noodle texture was perfection and the veggies were crispy just the way I prefer!
My husband ordered sushi & was impressed by how fresh it tasted. I'd say the prices were comparable to NYC sushi restaurants which was unexpected for a RI restaurant.
We also ordered the veggie fried rice to try- which was just ok and a bit bland. The spicy yakitori app was pretty tasty but only 2 skewers for $9+ isn't the best deal.
Not sure if I'd visit again but definitely somewhere I'd recommend trying.

We started with the pan fried (vegetable)dumplings and they were soft pillowy pockets of goodness….yum. I have been wanting to try Yagi Noodles for the longest time — the menu looked amazing, and it definitely lived up to the hype. We arrived around one o’clock and had a short wait, but it turned out to be worth it since it was Restaurant Week.
As a vegetarian, I really appreciated how accommodating they were. They customized my noodles with a mushroom broth, and I went for the tonkatsu noodle — absolutely delicious. For starters, I tried the dumplings, and they were some of the best I’ve had.
My husband ordered the same noodles with the bar buns, and he said it was one of the most refreshing and solid noodle dishes he’s had in New England — and let me tell you, he’s a total food snob!
The real standout, though, was their Moon Drink hands down the best drink I’ve ever had. It had this beautiful mix of mango, coconut, and jasmine, with a touch of sake that was so smooth you could barely taste the alcohol.
The only slight letdown was the dessert — the mango sago and chocolate chip cookie with puffed rice didn’t quite match the rest of the meal. But honestly, I’d happily skip dessert and come back for everything else.

We made reservations and were able to get in earlier than expected on a Saturday which was a good start. The staff were attentive, and our server went above and beyond for service. Dinner didn’t disappoint, then menu had everything, and I wanted to try everything but we went with an assortment of taco’s to share. They were all slammin. My 2 fave that I tried were the spicy shrimp and the al pastor. Best place for a special event!! My friends had their small marriage ceremony at the local courthouse and I obviously wanted to take them out for dinner afterward. La Vecina was nearby and we had enjoyed dining there before. I told La Vecina the event in advance and my friends and I were treated SO WELL. Thank you SO MUCH to all the staff that was so attentive. Adrienne was our host that evening and she went so above and beyond to make the night special. All the staff came by to congratulate my friends, they were beaming by the end of our evening. First time to this restaurant- was told that they served amazing chips and that the salsa was great…
We, a party of 4, show up on a Tuesday and arrived at 5:30-did not have a reservation so we were offered either the bar or outside- we chose the latter.
Lily was our server. She was pleasant enough and took our orders. She was very kind and patient with me as it took me a while to decide on my meal.
Once we ordered, I guess it must have gotten busy because we started to sporadically receive parts of the order. First came the chips and salsa which I did not photograph. Coming from New Mexico I was not at all impressed with the thickness of the tortilla chips, nor was the salsa at all flavorful.
I ordered two tacos; the sweet potato and crispy fish- my man ordered the La Vecina burrito and our friend ordered the carnitas for two.
Our food was delivered by server Isabelle… she had literally no idea how to pronounce any of the food that she was handing us- and after I snapped the photos for this review and began to eat- I realized that I was given a shrimp taco rather than the fish. About 1 minute later, Isabelle came back with another small plate and said who got the fish taco? And then told us she has no idea what she is delivering- she was just told that an order was ready to go out.
If the management team is reading this… please invest in better training for your new hires. Not knowing the food on the menu is off putting.
The food was fair- ZERO spice but ok- they offer room temperature bottled water with no ice- the silverware and glasses were dirty. There is only one bathroom for patrons- hope the person before you was respectful.

Ferry Wharf in Jamestown, RI is such a hidden gem! We came here for their annual fireworks show and it did not disappoint. We brought a blanket and set up on the field just behind the wharf—it was the perfect spot with a clear, stunning view of the entire show.

This place is a fantastic hidden gem!! Right on the water in Jamestown on The Wharf!! The food was excellent from the appetizers to the main course and even their dessert was incredible even though we were full already. January our server was fantastic, friendly and kept the drinks coming which were also delicious!! The prices were reasonable as well as the atmosphere. The food was tolerable and the service was horrendous! We were seated for about 15 minutes before we were handed menus and I had to flag down a waitress for that. We ordered two salads and an order of chowder and clam cakes. After an hour of patiently sitting there waiting the food had still not arrived. I tried to call out to the manager as she passed our table but she pretended not to see us. Finally I went up to talk to her. She ignored me and it was the cook who spoke to me. Cannot wait to go back another time. The Castle Hill Inn was an elegant dining experience for lunch. I am usually apprehensive about valet, but our guy, Connor, instantly made me feel as though my car was in good hands. From there, we were sat by a beautiful hostess named Ayina who was super friendly and informed us of everything they had to offer. Once we were seated, our waitress named all of the specials they had (so many good choices) and drink specials. Everything came out perfect. Lounging on the Adirondack chairs on the grass while watching the boats is a must-do when at Castle Hill Inn. There are even some paths to get down on the rocks below. Awesome place for a date. This was my first time trying Hawaiian shave ice and the staff were super helpful in walking me through the menu. I ended up getting the Aloha Ice and adding vanilla ice cream. The flavors were great and I loved the fresh mango and strawberry on top! I only wished the lilikoi (passionfruit) flavor in the shave ice was stronger. I came to the Bay Voyage Inn to try their new sushi menu. In Jamestown, sushi is hard to find so I was very excited to go. I was blown away. Although the selection of fish is small-- tuna, salmon, crab, and yellowtail--- the quality is unbelievable. The sashimi I ate was super fresh (especially the toro sashimi), and the various sushi rolls I ate were delicious but not too overloaded with sauces and mayonnaise (try the tiger roll). Undoubtedly the best part of the meal was a special sushi platter prepared by the chef, Nino (just ask for "whatever is fresh"). The prices were also very reasonable. I will definitely be paying a visit to chef Nino soon. This is the go-to sushi restaurant in Jamestown!

Its a fun place for a date night. Cozy restaurant with pretty views (especially if you sit outside). The service was pretty slow and there were not that many people there so I wouldnt suggest coming here unless you have time to spare. The menu is a little confusing. They have a different menu for Saturday and Sunday, so I went hoping to get he surf and turf with lobster only to be disappointed because they only serve that on the weekend. We held a luncheon for family and friends at Bay Voyage last week. It was following a funeral so there was barely a half day to make menu decisions . I worked with JenniferJohnson and she was wonderful. She was responsive by phone and text allowed us to include a really wonderful set of menu items and made everything easy
She set up a beautiful table for all of the homemade desserts that family brought . The buffet food was not and never empty and so many people remarked how surprised they were at the quality and how delicious everything was. They let us play a prepared playlist honoring our loved one and we were never rushed. The cost was very reasonable for a beautiful afternoon with an intimate family like atmosphere . Frank was the head service staff person and did an outstanding job. I cannot say enough how many guests were astonished that such a nice and tasteful lunch with such a delicious meal was prepared.
