You need to ask for shrimp paste if you do want that extra flavor as it’s not put out, just ask for it, it’s available. We also got pork chop rice dish. Pork chop was well seasoned with a hint of lemongrass. The only thing about this dish was the rice was a bit too dry and hard for us, it would be good if the rice was cooked a bit more for a softer and not hard texture. The rice dish does come with a small bowl of soup broth and some onions. And of course I had finish the meal with my Vietnamese iced coffee with condensed milk( cafe sữa đá). They will bring it out already mixed or in a coffee drip/filter if requested . And it was delicious. Nice experience. Will definitely be back. And prices are very reasonable compared to Vietnamese restaurants in Atlanta. 😃

Something so small has to be good right?! So my wife and I went on a random Thursday and it was surprisingly busy. There were plenty of tables available outside but 1. it was very hot and humid, 2. I was not trying to be a mosquitos meal while I eat my meal, and 3. based on the reviews with service being touch and go, we didn't want to be out of sight, out of mind. So we happily waited for our table inside. Lots of people came in and either decided to go somewhere else or to eat outside but we kept waiting. A 4 top came available first but they asked us to wait a minute or 2 more for a 2 top which made sense to us because it was busy. This was all fine until the 4 top next to us that had just arrived got exponentially better service than us and had their food ordered and served before we even got our appetizers ordered. Our waitress forgot about us, which, honestly, was expected based on the reviews. Once we finally got our food, it was really delicious! The orange sunrise roll was so beautifully bright with citrus, the seaweed salad was so yummy, and the nigiri was bangin. Our waitress did apologize a couple times for the wait and forgetting about us so we are very thankful for that. We will come back! It was still great food! Maybe next time we'll try to get in at the bar. The pricing was also really great, btw. I've seen a couple reviews that it's overpriced which I find crazy. We easily would have spent double for the same quality at any other sushi place downtown, in South Tampa, or Hyde Park.

It absolutely blew us away. The service was impeccable. Hostess Angel greeted us warmly, and our server Allison A. was simply outstanding ~ easily one of the best experiences we’ve had anywhere in Tampa. We started with drinks, and every single one was perfect. The Lychee Martini was smooth and floral, the Espresso Martini had just the right kick, and the Haku ~ their version of a Moscow Mule ~ was phenomenal. My husband is a self-proclaimed Moscow Mule connoisseur, and he gave it high praise. The food? Next-level. The Tuna Carpaccio was the star of the show ~ literally melted in our mouths. The only item that didn’t quite hit the mark for us was the Hanabi Maki ~ still very fresh, just not our personal favorite. I’m sure many others enjoy it! The food can best be described as a cross between latino food and chinese food. Many of the food items even have latino names. Today I got the Pata Frita, a fried piglet portion (2 legs) similar to lechon asado. Crunchy skin with small pockets of meat. My favorite was the Bistec, a spanish name for polomilla type steak but cooked in small squares chinese style without veggies, delicious. One was adobo beef and the other a pork stew. Their food is very flavorful and savory. It is close in style to latino foods but the flavor profile is a bit different with a hint of asian spices. I liked the adobo most while the wife was very enthused with the bbq pork skewers. The skewer while very tasty, the meat was a bit dry and tough. They have no menu since they make day to day specials. There are some savory pastries as well, we had a delicious purple cake they only make on weekends. They have drinks such as boba and teas with milk. Definitely want to go back and try some more of the filipino dishes I saw run out. Come get ya some.
