St. Armands Circle is a charming circular park surrounded by boutiques, restaurants, and salons, featuring Italian statuary. The area is set to welcome new dining experiences like Bar Hana and Palm Avenue Deli, offering elevated bar food and classic comfort foods with a retro 1950s design. Visitors can explore over 100 shops and restaurants just steps away from Lido Beach or venture to nearby areas like Englewood's Dearborn Street or Venice Main Street.
Charming dining and shopping district centered on a picturesque palm-lined circle. We planned to simply stop for a coffee, yet ended up staying thru lunch, shopping, dinner, dessert and more shopping. Plenty of outdoor seating at the many bars and restaurants. Pedestrian-friendly streets coupled plus ample street parking made for a great walkable experience. Street parking off the circle is $1.50 per hour from 10am to 6pm.

Great place to have a dinner or just ice cream/gelato. Many small shops with high prices. Very clean and pretty views. Good amount of restaurants to choose from affordable to $$$. I personally saw at least 6 ice cream places. I do not, why so many. I liked Turkish store with lots of baklava and sweets options. Turkish coffee was amazing. In the circle paid parking, but plenty of free parking just a block or 2 away.

My wife and I live on Fruitville so to go to Saint Armands is a straight shot down the road less than 10 minutes. They offer so many food options and they host various festivals as well like food and arts. It’s right by lido Beach. There are a ton of different world, food options, such as Italian, Colombian, Greek and American. There is also a ton of dessert options like fudge baklava, coffee, and candy all around the circle. It’s a great tourist attraction.

Such a great place to check out if in the area! Lots of shopping, restaurants and also local events. They do a huge Halloween trick or treating that was so fun for the kids and adults! Anything from pumpkin carving, candy and decor to Turkish coffee! Highly recommend checking out and supporting the local!

One of my favorite areas! Such an easy walk to the beach. Amazing shops and restaurant. Fun art festival we stumbled across one weekend. So much character,
Hannah R — Google review
Lots of posh boutiques, restaurants and a nice feel throughout the area. However, don’t be surprised by the panhandling and a couple of homeless who do ask for money. Some beach type souvenir shops were also present as well.

Beautiful location so many choices at so many beautiful stores! We really enjoyed our walk around the area. Friendly environment definitely recommend people to park and enjoy a walk around the area.

Really nice to walk around and very vibrant atmosphere especially in the evening. The town comes alive and people having good time. We love to come here every year for a couple of weeks. Lots of choices for Shopping around and restaurants. Coming from Chicago, the atmosphere is great here, we also love the beach and many other places in Sarasota! We are even considering to get a place here in the future if the opportunity presents itself. Come here to visit at least one time and you'll not be disappointed.

Aquariums
Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium is a fascinating destination that offers an immersive experience with over 100 marine species. Visitors can enjoy touch pools, working labs, and interactive exhibits. The aquarium features a stingray touch tank, a shark tank, and a nearby mammal center where manatees can be observed. Additionally, the facility provides educational opportunities for visitors of all ages to learn about marine life and interact with various sea creatures.
We visited from Arizona and this stop did not disappoint. I enjoyed all the exhibits and the educational graphics. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We had a great time and we will definitely be visiting again the next time that we are visiting family in Bradenton. My parents really enjoyed the touch pool and the sea turtles. I enjoyed watching the amphibians.
Lorenzo F — Google review
Very nice aquarium! Loved the renovation. The food court had an excellent range of food options. The manatee, penguins and otters were my kid's favorite.
K. S — Google review
I had a really great time at this aquarium, and I definitely would come again. There are two main buildings, the building with fish and other attractions like a preserved giant squid and a virtual reality experience, and a building with mammals like manatees and turtles. Once you pay for a ticket, you can enter both of these buildings. I suggest starting at the main building, and when you finish, follow the path marked with paintings of fish, and you can find your way to the mammal building. There's also a bird sanctuary, which is free entry. You can spend a decent amount of time there, so if you don't want to spend any money, it's a great option. This place is great for anyone of any age, and the elevators for accessibility make it a very open experience for anyone of any demographic. I highly recommend this place if you want to learn about marine life or just enjoy your day viewing interesting sea creatures.

Super cute little aquarium, I heard they're expanding recently as well? (I went a few years ago). Have a focus on sea turtles and rescue/rehabilitation of them. Can also see dolphins, manatees, a variety of fish and marine life, and a VERY NICE otter exhibit, the otters have a nice waterfall, clear clean water and lots of toys!

I’m very happy to know they are moving to newer and nicer / larger building soon! This will be amazing for them since you always have to walk to the building across the street. People are so friendly and so nice, we Love the people working and volunteering here! There was an older gentleman who took the time to explain to us how their giant squid ( found dead and now being preserved ) came to the facility. He was an amazing story telling and so knowledgeable about these creatures! We can’t wait to come back but now to the new facilities!
Rebeca M — Google review
Was hoping to see the new aquarium. However, this one open til July 6th. It is inside and out and allows us to see some amazing sea life. Worth a visit. However, the new place should be awesome. This takes a good 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Does have a café.
Jeff F — Google review
We took our grandchildren here during a vacation. We enjoyed the educational experience. It is kid friendly and a great place for them to explore the wonders of the sea. Staff are knowledgeable and approachable. They enjoy educating the visitors, especially the children. There are hands-on activities for the littles. It is not overwhelming big, the perfect size for the children. The bird sanctuary and manatees are a short walk and worth it.
Valerie R — Google review
Every Monday during summer your child gets to learn about conservation while touching, catching and releasing different sea creatures. No fee but must be registered and needs to be with a parent. Mote has a hidden gem behind the building where they host weddings etc. this is where they are hosting their educational conservation series. Mote used to also honor SNAP discounts but I haven't tried since they moved to the fancy new location. This is such a great place and so important for Florida for the animals and for the next generation.

Joan M Durante Community Park is a protected wetland and coastal hammock forest habitat located in Longboat Key. It offers walking and biking paths where visitors can observe various birds, fish, and crabs. The park also provides opportunities for kayaking through calm waters, mangrove tunnels, and natural plant species. Additionally, it features a playground, bathroom facilities, picnic areas, sports fields, and a dog park.
A beautiful find ! Discovered some very interesting plants. The boardwalk, unfortunately, is still closed, but it did not take away from us exploring. Clean bathrooms and cute little play area for kids. Dog friendly
Rajh C — Google review
These kids truly enjoyed walking through the mangroves and reading the park provided map, which in truth is the best map we have gotten in any of our travels to any parks. (We have visited many, many of them in many states) This park can be described as magical and kept very nicely as it is clean and terribly charming. If you are looking for beautiful views of the bay and a quiet place to get away from the busy beaches...this is it! Dogs are welcome if leashed and you clean up after them. There are even bathrooms and small pavilions to rest. We highly recommend a stop to walk or have a picnic!
Maria C — Google review
A beautiful and secluded park that is on the Sarasota Bay. The playground is nice, the grounds are kept clean as well. There are plenty of walking paths that are mostly crushed shell and boardwalks. I always see plenty of wildlife and enjoy the time at this park.
Brendan C — Google review
Looks like this park could be a great place - but a lot of the activities / walking trails were closed. Looking forward to reviewing it again next year when its more accessible.
Sean M — Google review
A beautiful park to come bring kids or pets. A beautiful walking trail with great views of the water. Amazing views of some Florida trees as well. Nice and quiet as well if you are looking for escaping the craziness of beaches and tourist areas in Sarasota. If you are up for it you can bike to this park, but the trail is more for walking than biking.
John M — Google review
Middle of Longboard Key a wonderful walk under the mangroves along the Sarasota bay. Plenty of shade with spectacular views within the mangroves and lookout onto the bay. Well maintained. Kid and dog friendly.
Tom L — Google review
Something for every nature lover here. The paths and boardwalk offer a close up look at a mangrove ecosystem. Great trails for walking, biking and flat enough to navigate with most strollers. Beautiful views of Sarasota bay. We saw jellyfish and horseshoe crabs. There was a great playground with restrooms and picnic tables. Great break from the beach.
Anne S — Google review
I would have given it 5 stars but a couple paths were blocked for renovation. Beautiful nature trails through mangrove with great views of Sarasota Bay. Walked for about an hour never repeating any trail.

Fine dining restaurant
Euphemia Haye Restaurant & The Haye Loft is a historic cottage that has been serving global fine dining since 1975.
Old rustic ambience. Food cooked to quality perfection. Veal Marsala must try if you’re a veal fan. Service was impeccable. The restaurant is house made into a restaurant. It’s down a little tiny road. Very interesting. There is a parking lot and barely no sign telling you it’s even a restaurant. On the upper floor of the house there is a bakery that makes homemade desserts, yum. Two separate checks. We had a very unique experience. We will definitely return in the future.
Kimona S — Google review
Great place!! The deserts are next level. We had a piece of pecan pie, peanut butter pie, and probably one of the best apple pie’s I have ever had. Two people could easily split one slice of any of them. Must go to place if you’re in the area. And the bar is a small, well stocked cool place as well. A lot of options, and great service.
K C — Google review
Service is some of the best I have ever had on vacation. My roasted duckling was great and my wife's grouper was delightful. The real treat was the dessert bar upstairs. Best banana creme pie I've ever had.

5 Stars! A Gem of Longboat Key! Nestled upstairs, The Haye Loft offers a funky and fun atmosphere that stands out as the best vibe on Longboat Key. It's not just a dining spot; it's an experience. The desserts, housemade daily, are a bountiful delight with the chocolate cake, peanut butter pie, and brownies deserving a special mention! The magic of the place is further enhanced by Georgette, who not only provides insightful tours and history of the restaurant but also guides patrons through the tempting dessert options at the dessert bar. The service is nothing short of excellent, carried out by seasoned servers whose tenure spans years, and sometimes, decades. This continuity of staff adds a layer of warmth and familiarity to the service that is rare to find. In summary, The Haye Loft is not just about great food; it's about the magical experience that begins the moment you step in. This place should have 5 stars. Our orders: Shrimp Rolls Hummus Cesar Salad Peppered Steak Blacked Shrimp + Dessert

Great atmosphere. Steaks were ok but dry and not worth the money. Got the filet and peppercorn ny stripwhich. The shrimp appetizer was amazing. Dessert was good and a really cool definitely worth the experience of going to a separate dessert room. The gluten free chocolate cake was the best my wife ever had.

I was spending the weekend on Lido beach and my girlfriend and I had the best dinner of the trip here. It has been over 20 years, but prior to that while living in the area, I had been coming to this restaurant since the '80s. I know it has changed hands in recent years, but our meal did not disappoint!! As good as I remembered , maybe better. If you want s fine dining experience, this is the place. All the food was outstanding, try the blueberry soup, amazing. Best dirty martini ever!!

Drinks, deserts, bartenders and atmosphere are fantastic…have eaten there 3 times over 4 years, each time optimistic that the food must be better and I’m just having bad experiences. Unfortunately, the food continues to disappoint - overly well-done duck, chemical-tasting pasta sauce and soupy, bland sauces…I’m done hoping. Will eat elsewhere and go here for after dinner drink and occasional desert.

Nature preserve
Nature & Parks
Quick Point Nature Preserve is a serene natural area spanning over 400 acres, offering picturesque hiking trails and abundant wildlife. Nestled at the south end of Longboat Key, it safeguards wetlands and mangroves, providing a tranquil escape into nature. Visitors can explore elevated boardwalks winding through natural and man-made lagoons while catching glimpses of wild animals. Although compact in size, this preserve offers a peaceful ambiance with secluded beach areas for fishing and leisurely strolls.
This is such a beautiful preserve. It’s a quick walk through, but you can also swim in the ocean here, and it’s more secluded compared to a more popular beach. There is a lot of wildlife to see, such as birds, butterflies and maybe even manatees or fish at the end viewpoint. It’s a mostly shaded walk I believe.
Rachel I — Google review
Very secluded beach but not really for laying in the sun. MANY fishermen enjoy the spot. No bathrooms. The pie was closed of die to hurricane damage.
Lori S — Google review
Amazing almost hidden gem! Beautiful sand and boardwalk trails, amongst mangrove lagoons and the gorgeous, clear, turquoise waters of the channel. A perfect nature lovers park. I’m always excited to go back. Snorkeling right at the beach entrance provided views of spider crabs, live conch, hermit crabs, snook and a starfish
TJ C — Google review
I used to camp out here free range before they built the boardwalk. It's still a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle.
Grace B — Google review
Short hike but pretty . Good for relaxing and enjoy the water . There's wild animals around so just take precautions. No bathrooms in the area . No Dog friendly. Pick up your trash, be prepared to carry your stuff . The parking is really reduced and you have to walk it's a short way .
Lula — Google review
Beautiful beach. There is a lot less people than most of the other beaches in the area. I was the only one there. Except for a few fisherman down the way a bit. The boardwalk is still closed (4/14/25) after hurricane damage last year. So you are only able to see a small portion of the preserve
Ashley S — Google review
This small bayside park is great place for a short walk and little private beach area. You can fish and walk through the mangroves on the boardwalk.

Looks like a nice place from the photos but I went there today and the bridge is blocked off so you can’t go through to the end of the trail.

Seafood restaurant
Mar Vista Dockside Restaurant & Pub is a charming seafood spot housed in an early-1900s beach house, exuding an Old Florida vibe with its rustic atmosphere and patio offering scenic views. Located on Longboat Key overlooking Sarasota Bay, this tropical setting provides guests with the option to dine on the covered deck or under a canopy of buttonwood trees.
The wait for seating was made better by the beautiful water view. Our waiter was pleasant, friendly and knowledgeable. All the food we ordered was delicious. Potato tots were big with a crunchy shell and filled with soft flavorful potatoes. The fish were cooked to perfection. The open water view was splendid, even when seated inside.

We loved it here. Such a cute little vibe. My kids loved the games as we waited for our food. We arrived early and got a table immediately which was nice. The food was absolutely delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meal. My husband really loved the poke bowl he ordered, and I was left wishing I had grabbed it too. It was delicious.

Fantastic place on a quiet area of the beach where you can watch the boats & kayaks sitting under some very cool trees in the sand. There are several fans deployed to keep you cool! Our server Zach was chill & informative about the menu. We enjoyed some drinks & had the calamari with a unique dipping sauce based on coconut. I liked it although my husband prefers a spicy marinara sauce. He had the chicken sandwich - was ok - kind of dry with the tasty homemade potato chips. I had the peel & eat shrimp - delish with a side of broccolini. We enjoyed it immensely & will be back!

Sat at the bar and we had a very nice bartender! He showed us all the menu and specials plus he offered us the top picks! We had the grilled crab which by the way was amazing!!!! Breaded shrimp and the crispy Brussels 10/10… I had the margarita with pineapple and tajin, I did not like it too much and I would prefer a normal margarita also it needed a little bit more of agave but I think that is just a preference! I would come back to keep trying their interesting cocktail list! 🍸🍸🍸🍸🍸

This is not the first time we have dined at Mar Vista. We have always had great service, food and atmosphere. We came back for my husband’s birthday and as a recommendation to friends who were visiting. This evening out was disappointing compared to our prior visits. We had reservations for 6 ppl at 8 pm. The hostess struggled to find our reservation which kicked off a comedy of errors, so to speak. We had a nice table by the water, requested when making the reservation. We waited for over 10 min without acknowledgment until we went back to the host and ask if we had a server. 🙄 The server (Chriztopher) finally arrived, tossed some cardboard coasters around and ask for a drink order. When asked if there were any specials, he said “no, we had red snapper but we are out so I’m not going to bother to tell you.” We ordered wine, beverages, and appetizers (tater tots, peel and eat shrimp) apps were great but slow to be delivered. We then ordered our dinner Seafood Trio (recommended), Jalapeño-glazed Grouper (recommended) and Filet minion + requested addition scallops. We were then informed they were out of scallops as well the red snapper (2 of 3 items explained to be on the Trio). We were told the fish would be substituted with another fish (although not sure with what) and in lieu of scallops we would receive some extra shrimp. Needless to say 3 orders of the Trio were changed and no add on to the steak dinner 🙄. We were told that we should not have made reservations that late because the kitchen frequently runs out. Seriously, the restaurant sets the reservation times!? Maybe a disclaimer needs to be added at time of booking! The Grouper was delicious as was described. The Trio was less than desirable without a trio and the steak was fine nothing amazing. So 3 out of 6 guest were highly satisfied for their main course. We had dessert - Chocolate Cake for 2 and Key-lime for the birthday and some expresso martinis - both desserts were fabulous. The key-lime was served and a platter with birthday wishes include which was nice. The martinis were okay. All in all our dinner ended on a good note. I would say we had dinner out but not a true dinning experience, there’s a big difference! We dined next door at the Shore the evening before (same time, same guest) and at a comparable cost. I am sad to say, the Shore blew MarVista away in all categories - service, food and atmosphere! Not sure what’s happening with MarVista, maybe they were just having a bad night. It was definitely less than we have previously experienced from a well-known favorite.

A staple for Longboat! This place is a must my family was in town and we went twice. It is the loveliest dining experience with exceptional views. The food and service is TOP TIER! All around great dining.

Mar Vista Dockside Restaurant and Pub offers a stunning close up view of the bay—you simply can’t get closer to the water! The friendly staff and prompt service make for a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. While the food is more on the simple, classic pub-fare side, the variety of dishes and drinks pairs perfectly with the gorgeous setting. A great spot to relax on Longboat Key.

Restaurant
Dry Dock Waterfront Grill is a casual waterfront restaurant located at the Boathouse marina on Longboat Key, offering panoramic views of Sarasota Bay. It has been recognized as one of the 100 Most Scenic Restaurants in America for its picturesque setting. The menu features seafood specialties such as grouper sandwiches, lobster rolls, and Boathouse Burgers.
Great food! Great service. When my husband said he was taking me to lunch, I was thinking we were going to another restaurant. I was quite glad when he pulled up to Dry Dock Waterfront Grill as I knew I didn't have to worry about what I would order. Of course, I ordered the best thing on the menu: the seafood pasta with garlic and wine sauce (I forgot to order it with extra garlic though!! 🤦🏿‍♀️). My husband ordered the Tuscan cream sauce pasta with blackened grouper. He said it was delicious. I wouldn't know since I was gobbling down my own deliciousness so quickly! 🤷🏿 We gave the virgin strawberry daiquiris. They were ok, a little icy and lacked the sweetness of some others. The outdoor patio was breezy and nice. They really try to make it comfortable for the guests and it shows. DDWG is a bit pricey, and it doesn't look like they have a lunch menu (unless I missed it??), so if you are budget conscious, you'll have to choose your menu items carefully. Whatever you choose, especially if it's one of their pastas, you'll be glad you did! Happy eating! 😊

Im not much of a seafood person but this place was phenomenal. I had a few locals tell me how good this place is and it did not disappoint. Their coconut shrimp and their category 5 shrimp were phenomenal. And the lobster rolls had you craving for some more. Highly recommend!

The food at Dry Dock Waterfront Grill was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The views overlooking Sarasota Bay were stunning and made the whole experience worth the visit. Carly, our waitress, was top-notch. She had fantastic people skills, made us feel genuinely welcome, and took great care of us throughout the meal. You can tell she loves what she does. Great atmosphere, great service, and great food. Highly recommend!

On vacation we rarely eat at the same place twice but we did here! Went early for dinner around 4 to 5pm. Did have to wait a few minutes but we'll worth it. They have deck seating and 2 and 3 floor seating, all with great views of the bay. Our first visit, our waitress was exceptional! Our meal superb! Had grouper, veggies and real mashed potatoes. This was the best meal of the week!!! My second was sea bass, red potatoes and asparagus. Other plates were delighful chicken. Veggies so tender. Highly recommend 👌 FYI watch out for Barney Fife with the Longboat Police dept. They work Gulf Blvd with their radar guns!

🤤 o m g. Delish! Amazing vibe, delicious food, and phenomenal service. The entrees are very generous portions with a delicious salad. I got the blackened grouper and my partner got the bacon wrapped scallops and coconut shrimp. I did not have a bad bite of food all night. We had an amazing sunset to complement dinner time too! They had a ton of fans running outside to keep the air moving to prevent overheating. Our server was even kind enough to take a cute picture of me and my boo at sunset :) worth the splurge!

Exceptional food and service! AND the view of the water was amazing! Our server Sylvia was amazing and so knowledgeable and patient as it was our 1st time there but definitely not our last! First time visiting and we will definitely be back. John, our waiter, was very attentive and professional.Food was exceptional, compliments to the chef. The Broiled Atlantic Cod was cooked to perfection, flaky and moist. Coconut shrimp on salad was tasty and plentiful. The lobster bisque was scrumptious and the grilled grouper sandwich was also plentiful and delicious.Would definitely recommend stopping in for a great bite to eat!

We went to Lazy Lobster last night for dinner. It’s in a small strip mall on the main drag of Longboat Key. The restaurant has a small bar area and indoor dining, but the patio is where it’s at. It’s secluded and doesn’t even feel like it’s on the street. We waited in the bar with cocktails for a table on the patio. Just because you make reservations you’re not guaranteed a patio table. My husband had a Kentucky Bourbon cocktail and I had the blood orange margarita with salt around the rim. His drink was fantastic, mine was lacking the blood orange flavor as you can see by the color of the drink. Our server was Reina, and she was friendly and engaging and made good suggestions. I was between two entrées and was happy she suggested the lobster dish. We shared the fried clam strips as a starter. They were so light and crispy but still moist, yummy. I loved how they were served with a yummy tartar sauce and in a paper sleeve. Hubby had the potato crusted grouper and I had to go with a lobster dish because, well, we were at Lazy Lobster after all. I went with an old school dish, the lobster thermidor. So delish! Both of our dishes were delicious. The vegetable we chose was brussels sprouts, but I didn’t like them as they were not roasted to a nice caramelization even though I requested them to be well done and charred. I left them on my plate. One of the owners was so hands-on while we were there, clearing plates, making sure everybody was satisfied and saying hello. I really like that. I would recommend Lazy Lobster for sure. Be patient and wait for the patio, though. It only took about 30 minutes to be seated outside. Make reservations, too. I took away a point for the blood orange margarita and the brussels sprouts I didn’t eat.

Lazy Lobster was a true hidden gem! We have been to the island a million times & have missed this place. Not anymore! The host was the kindest. The waiter had wonderful recommendations (shrimp Sophia) and the “meaty” lobster bisque was to die for! One of the owners (Michael) was so charming. We loved the old school way he checked on every table to make sure everything was good. Best key lime pie on the island too! #classact #deliciousfood

Fresh delicious food!! Gluten free pasta. Gluten free sauces and soups. So good I went back a second time!! The 2nd time there was a cat lurking thru the tables…just a warning incase you’re a Karen!! The patio area is beautiful. And the key lime pie was delicious!! Very good meals, soups, and desserts.

Good food, good location. We were seated before our 4:45 reservation (phone in for reservation). You Can’t miss this cheery bright yellow building. Early dining (3:30-5) menu has reduced prices on select items. Happy hour at that time as well. Lobster dish selections were delicious, key lime pie very good. A lovely shaded garden with patio furniture and rainbow umbrellas to enjoy. More traditional seating inside with small bar and also an airy waiting area. Our server was pleasant and very efficient. Great service! The lobster bisque and clam chowder are tops!! Any entree is special. All the shrimp dishes are perfect. The owner is pleasant and asks about the meal every time! Thank you for your community service too.

We were able to snag a last minute reservation on our day of arrival on LBK. I wasn't really sure of the vibe or quality of food from the reviews due to words like "family friendly", casual, and fried food. Anyway, I LOVE lobster so i thought it was worth a shot. What a lovely surprise! Very pretty calm quiet dining room with appropriately attentive wait staff. A nice menu with plenty of variety and definitely not all fried food. I hot the lobster tacos, grilled and I was so pleased! It was a huge portion with lovely sauce and a garden salad. My husband got the bourbon salmon which was equally delicious. We were very pleased and enjoyed a lovely dinner in a lovely atmosphere. I highly recommend this little local spot for a surprising wonderful dining experience!

Note: I an 77 years old and have never given a negative restaurant review. Nice place and service was great however, food and price not so good. I had the 1lb lobster stuffed with crab meat ($74). The lobster was overcooked leaving the claws dried out and I am still chewing on the rubbery tail. Not much crab stuffing. My wife had lobster mac & cheese and said that much of the lobster was chewy. ($49) - we shared the lobster escargot which was good. The lobster bisque was okay but we have had better for less. Final bill for 2 with 20% tip (good service) $192 and I took the bread home because I was still hungry.

Excellent dinner. The savory shrimp pasta was hands down the best Scampi I have ever had. The prime rib was cooked to perfection. The grouper was also tasty. Mom said the lamb was ok. The chocolate lava cake was yummy even though it was over baked just a bit. No lava. Our server was wonderful even though she had several tables. We had a window table, and the view was gorgeous.

We arrived at 7pm on a Friday night with reservations and were immediately seated at a beautiful table overlooking the bay and bridge. It was our first visit and came to try out the restaurant during Savor Sarasota. We ordered the Caesar Salad, Salmon with Shrimp and Key lime pie. All were exceptional and very generous portions. Sadie our server was attentive during the entire evening and most importantly we never felt rushed leaving our beautiful view. We will definitely be back.

Excellent service from moment of arrival. Even though the restaurant was busy, the hostesses were so warm and accommodating. Our server, Craig was so nice and attentive and helped us with our selections. I really enjoyed the crab cake appetizer and the salmon for main course, also recommend the mango tuna avocado appetizer. Besides the top notch service, the restaurant itself, with warm tones and beautiful views of the Gulf, made the dining experience exceptional. Will be back.

We had dinner here. We were seated by the windows and that allowed us to enjoy the water view. Our server was nice. We had crab cakes, clam chowder soup, and Kim Chee Calamari for appetizers. For main dish we had, sea bass with mashed potatoes and asparagus. For dessert, we had a dish that brought 3 different flavor crème brûlée. Sangria and water. The crab cakes was tasteful. The clam chowder was okay, nothing to write home about and the same for the sea bass. The creme brûlée dessert was good, different flavors to suit different paletes. Overall, it's a nice restaurant with nice views. The food was okay.

Always a great time here with friends and family . Never have a bad meal or service A great place to celebrate your birthday . You get a copy of that days menu with recognition and they give you a delicious dessert with a candle Noah was our server . He was wonderful.,We wanted to pace out our dinner with the wine and salad bar before putting in the main entrees and he gave us plenty of time . We never felt rushed . We just need to remember to get there before our dinner reservation to enjoy Happy Hour prices . because quite a difference in pricing of drinks only available in bar area Had our usual , Salmon and Chicken Balsamica and the Farmers bar . ( The adding on of the salad bar with Entree has definitely gone up over the years ) But it's well worth it . The early bird menu is great and includes dessert . Which you might as well bring home after your 2-3 trips to the salad bar

Everyone told us Chart House was the upscale spot to go to on Longboat Key so we were expecting something more elevated when we walked in, but it felt very dated. That said, we did get a great seat at the bar with beautiful views of the water. We came for Happy Hour and that was definitely the highlight. Pomegranate Mojito: Super tasty, just delayed Firecracker Shrimp: Good and flavorful Crispy Spicy Tuna: Worth it to order, but not my favorite Prime Rib Sliders: Solid choice, would definitely order again Sunset Beets (regular menu): The pesto make it work, but otherwise it was a no for me. Cedar Plank Salmon (early dining menu): Came with a salad and lemon sorbet, both refreshing and tasty but the green beans and rice were a no for us. Service-wise, the bartender greeted us and was really polite, but it felt like we didn't get much attention after that - maybe because we ordered in waves, or maybe because the bar was just busy. Overall, Happy Hour was worth it for the price, the view, and a few standout bites but I don't think we'd come back.

We went to chart house after we got engaged. My fiancé had made a reservation prior and let them know ahead of time. They were SO sweet to us. Our server, Jason was polite, attentive , and so sweet! The staff even signed a card for us! Our menu even had a personalized message just for us. Thank you staff!! We will be returning!
