This is a must stop off even if you only stay for a quick coffee! The staff here are mostly deaf, so for those with Gluten allergy / GF Intolerance /Celiac disease, I would recommend coming with an Indonesian Celiac restaurant card, and maybe some key phrases to show the staff on Google translate. If you are Celiac, I would recommend that you advocate for yourself, and come at an off peak time of day - I am confident the staff will be able to support you. The place is run a couple husband and wife with stock supply based on catch of the day. We were there during dinner time and there were only left with fish, prawn and squid with some small lobster. My personal take is skip the lobster and take the shrimp instead due to the value and portions. The environment is not very clean and there were many lizards.One pooped on my younger sister pants and she shrieked.There were also rats and a crab,which hid in a hole that leaded to the paddy fields and sometimes came out of the hole .The food was yummy especially the fried squid.On the other hand,the French fries were not very tasty because first of all, it wasn’t salty ,secondly it was soggy and not crispy like what I thought and last of all it was like mashed potato inside and it tasted bad even with ketchup.The service was good and they served you fruits at the end of the meal as we were the only customer for dinner.
