An incredible little place to stop for a quick lunch. The food is delicious, fresh and offers a unique homemade touch. I ordered the BLT, it was perfect: light crispy home baked bread, fresh greens and flavourful tomatoes, crispy bacon, the right amount of mayo, nd it was really well priced. After being seated we were brought a half cup of coffee & I was told they were brewing a fresh pot & they would return to fill my cup. I had to ask 15 mins later to have my cup topped off & again the young waitress filled it to the half mark. After the 3rd time asking i finally got a full cup of coffee. We ordered a small 1 egg breakfast & the chicken pot pie. The only tasty item in the breakfast was the 1 egg. The toast was almost burnt, the bacon was over done & very salty, the hashbrowns were soaked in an orange grease & the jam was runny! The chicken pot pie shouldve never even made it to the table. It was over cooked to the point of the crust being black and the insides of it were nothing but mush and dark brown. I honestly don't know how this cafe has a rating of 4.7 stars , unless we struck out with the meals we were served. Very disappointed! We do not recommend!

I had a seafood chowder which was one of the best I've had on my trip, and also haddock tacos which were good but I thought the taco was too thick for my liking and there could've been a bit more flavor. My partner had the seafood casserole that he said was delicious. Service seemed slow. I didn't think it was super busy, but it felt like we waited a while for our food. We did have 5 people at our table so maybe that's why it was slower? We had 2 people in our party with mobility issues, so we did learn that the ramp has some ledges that were difficult for them to push up their walker. The ramp was also quite far from the main entrance, if the side door was open it probably would've been easier. And we had to drop them off at the front and then park since there is no parking directly in front of the restaurant unfortunately. There is a parking lot in the back but I didn't notice how access was from that side.

It had a welcoming and open atmosphere and large windows towards the waterfront but due to those tables being occupied we couldn’t see it. The service was friendly and prompt overall. What I have a problem with is the seafood combo dish. Despite the name, the restaurant is spacious enough for about 10 tables on its main first floor. We happened to visit when they had a live band playing. Maybe when something like that happens, they could offer a beverage on the house, or an appetizer, or at least bring another bread basket. I ordered the scallops and shrimp in the lemon garlic sauce. Was tough, and on the plate there were only 3 of each. For a meal over $30, I expect more, and good. Was disappointing. My friend found the seafood tough as well. So, this time...they dropped the ball. We should've waited until the next week to go. This review may have been much different. Unfortunate.
