It has a bland roast beef taste that's miles away from a good brisket. While there was ample meat it was sliced thin and dry. Our server was very kind but forgetting to bring the appetizer while the appy plates sat on the corner of the table was a big miss!! We realized she forgot about them so we decided not to mention or make a big deal out of it. We did chuckle looking at the appy plates when we were finished our meal thinking "do we ask when our appetizer is coming" lol. It was not a bad experience and we were full and satisfied when we left. I asked our server for a spicy Caesar and it was fantastic, great job!

That and the decor is nice. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. The menu lacks vision and feels like something you would see from a similar eatery 10+ years ago. Their gravy is simmered to perfection, it is thick and not watery like so many other places, and the flavour certainly packs a punch. If you get a craving like I do from time to time for East Indian food, give them try. Wow, ordered chicken Kadai this evening and it was amazing (love the heat)!! I requested not to make it spicy as don't have good tolerance for heat. They served this wonderful dish. As I took a bite, I felt that it was genuine. They have a great chef, who cooks fresh food. I did go back several times until the day I had to head back to my home. I really liked every single meal and the snacks that I tried. Upon entering we were happy to see an ole style diner with a large varied menu. We watched each dish come out and everyone was large, homemade and delicious looking. The liver was very good and the roast beef dinner did not disappoint. Now for the Gem. Her name is Emily and she provided an awesome experience in service. She smiled, laughed and knew the menu. While the sparkling wine greeting and table side flambé are nice gimmicks they do not make up for the mediocre food especially considering the high cost. The amuse bouche was a cold cabbage roll stuff with chicken salad it didn't amuse our palettes. If you're going to give a free starter it should really excite you want the coming meal this had the opposite effect. The appetizers were also not great. I had to ask for salt and balsamic vinegar to give some flavour to the dry burata and tasteless tomatoes (they were not heirloom). The cauliflower soup was sickly sweet. As for the mains... The steak was fine no better than the keg. The duck was underwhelming and rubbery and tough and again way too sweet. The dessert was like a frozen store bought cheesecake with an inedible garnish. The service was forgetful, and rushed, trying to take away dishes before they were even finished. All in all we don't ever be returning and very disappointing considering this used to be one of the best restaurants in Moncton.

I used to make the drive to eat here at least once a year. Under the guidance of the the long time maître D’ Frederick, it was amazing. Half an hour to get the beer menu and then no offer of drinks again till the end of the meal. No refills of bread even after they were requested,a glass of red wine ordered was never delivered. Chateaubriand was over cooked - steak was so thin on my son- in- laws plate it would have been impossible to get a sear and have it medium rare– of course it came well done. No one checked in to see how our food was. I can’t even begin to say how terrible it was! At the end of the meal it became so bad that it was almost comical when they came at the end of our meal and offered us ground pepper. For what? We were done. The portion is getting lesser and lesser. (They must have over booked)The lady who took over the station while we waited was short borderline rude with us and with her staff, and it kinda set us on edge. That said the rest of the staff we interacted with were extremely friendly and helpful. Our waitress was great and the gentleman who seated us came back to chat a few times and it was welcomed. They kept things professional but light. The grumpy hostess (seemed like owner or manager at the very least) was the one who also brought out our meal, she dropped and left and the waitress had to come back and get us pasta spoons and the pepper mill. In Montreal, for their price you would get maybe 5 pieces but there, you get THE roll. We weren’t aware of it so we took a lot of makis and they definitely didn’t disappoint! Our favourite was the one with the creamy lobster. We did wish there could be more lobster (or less cream), but it was still delicious. The other makis were morr standard-ish but still good nonetheless. The miso soups were quite tiny though but that’s a detail we can oversee. Waitresses and waiter were all so nice! So that's where I went. It did not disappoint! It's a nice locally owned place. Clean and friendly with a casual atmosphere. The prices were reasonable and the portions large. Service was on point and they were willing to talk to me which is a big plus when you're on the road alone as much as I am. They were very welcoming. I have had a lot of really stellar seafood when work takes me close enough to the shore to get it. This place ranks at or near the top of that list. The chowder was the best I ever remember eating. Perfectly creamy and the seafood was impeccable. With the exception of the shrimp, everything else was locally sourced and as fresh as any I have ever had. The clams were also remarkable. The menu says they are "award winning". I can see why! Perfect breading. Whole clams! To die for! And if you like PEI mussels? Imagine what they would be like when they came fresh out of the water the same day you ate them and from only a handful of miles from where you're sitting to eat them! Hot, fresh and full of flavour. Service was terrible. Our server had a table of 25 ‘children’ of drinking age come in without a reservation. The group were not making the servers life easy by interrupting him, not listening and worst of all, changing their seating places to confuse him. When we did get our servers attention he was clearly flustered but treated us the best he could. I blame the on shift manager for not supplying the server with extra help to elevate the load. I also blame the manager for not removing the server from the map and allowing him to concentrate on the 25 person party. Removing him from the map would allowed better service for the 25 person table as well as making our table and another tables experience much better. I don’t blame our server at all and he was left an appropriate tip. Disappointing supper that could have easily been avoided.

Definitely worth the $32.99. They slather it in sauce because the meat isn't as juicy as really great ribs, but the apple butter bbq sauce is good and the meat is tender so it's an okay trade-off for the price. It tastes well....a bit bland. Not terrible by any means but just lacking in flavour. My lemongrass chicken to my surprise is just boiled looking chicken breast with sauce on it. My goodness why not use chicken thighs and grill it for some colour so it has intensified flavours while still being juicy! How disappointing....it isn't worth the price we paid for. Maybe add some more garnish for the pho and then throw in a couple Spring rolls with the lemongrass chicken. Overall nothing was bad but everything was just on the bland side and expensive for what you get.

It started as I followed my lovely wife Pat through the front foyer into their internal entranceway. Pat, immediately recognized our host Alex as he greated us. I had to run out and grab my glasses from the car, keep forgetting them (only need them for loseup reading). Drinking my coffee and going through the menu's, I chose the 2 egg, back bacon, home fries and toast with jam. I especially loved the crispness of their golden home fried wedges and taste. Pat was delighted with the chicken asparagus skillet. She had enough leftover for her next meal. Alex is a great waiter and extremely personable. He has a warm demeanor with an open heart. We shared dog stories and he went as far as to show us a picture of his beautiful little dog. We love dogs and have 2 of our own. Meals were a delight. I ate every morsel and savored every bite. My burger was the worse i have ever seen ( picture provided ) it was so burnt it crunched when i bit into it and that was all you could taste was the burnt meat, tiny burger for 20 dollars, they had the nerve to charge over 3 dollars for the poutine add on , which came in separate dish so you got less fries, and the gravy was just gross , no flavor just brown salty mess. that will be it for me , Prisoners would eat better , and we had to pay over 80 dollars for this. top that off the staff were the only ones there with us a 5:40pm ( shoulda been a red flag ) and they were constantly walking through the dining room bringing groceries and stuff in .... that is what a back entrance is for. our dessert to the whole experience was walking out into the entry to go back to that car and walking into a nice eggie fart cloud left in the entrance between the doors by one of the employees.
