We could not fault the food or the service. As a young family we don’t often treat ourselves to a special outing. But my daughter’s birthday was the perfect opportunity. Form the minute we walked in & seen the beautiful view & felt such a lovely atmosphere. A restaurant full of happy & relaxed people, all clearly enjoying their meals. The staff went out of their way to make us comfortable & shared their recommendations also. This made the experience feel authentic and thoughtful at the same time. The food was incredible, the best prawns we have had anywhere (even how they were presented was beautiful) we were lucky enough to sample 3 dishes, I normally never order chicken however this dish made me feel like I had been missing out. The atmosphere, location & service was lovely however we've been disappointed a couple of times now with the food. Our lobster was tough, like rubber tough! The steaks had a beautiful flavour but were mostly fat so we couldn't truly enjoy it Our meals came out at different times so we couldn't enjoy the experience together. The times where the restaurant have been quiet, it's been fantastic but the team seem to struggle once there is a bit of a backlog. The staff offered free drinks and discounted meals as a result of the poor experience, even taking our daughter for a walk for a change of scenery which was greatly appreciated. The reason for this review is we would really love to see TINTA get it right as it has the potential to be that 5-star venue, when it's on, it's on!

Everything we ordered was beyond expectations. Our table was not overtaken by surrounding diners conversations which adds to the dining experience. Oysters Kilpatrick, cooked and presented beautifully. The Mooloolaba King Prawns where huge and very tasty. The lamb rump was a little disappointing being that it was only just warm at the time it was served and went cold very quickly. Maybe the plates could do with warming before plating up and the A/C's set so that they did not blow directly across the dining table surfaces but above the diners. Seating is harder and as uncomfortable as a concrete bench. It left me feeling crippled by the time we finished dining. The wait staff where attentive, very friendly and went over and above. They did try to sort the A/C's but maybe lifting the temperature a couple of degrees would have been the way to go. Overall a comfortable dining experience. Not overly expensive and worth more visits in the future. Had all the meals been hot this would have been a 5 star review. An upgraded to the seating also would not go astray.

The Lakes area has a diverse range of restaurant quality, with top notch restaurants in the Hunter Valley near by, but my experience at Emerson's well surpassed any of those. Chef Emerson has the chefs magic touch. Not just in the way he prepares the ingredients, but he handled them with such respect and care you can taste the love he has put into each dish. The presentation and flavour of each dish is worthy of a Chef's Hat in the Australian Good Food Guide. They commented they were given their own secluded seating away from other people (so it felt), with water views. They reported as hot as it was outside, they couldn’t tell because of the breeze coming off the water. The reported the food was amazing!! The service was amazing!! Everyone made them feel like they were the only ones in the restaurant though it was packed! My daughter commented each dish was brought out 30 minutes apart which allowed their food to digest between each dish. They also had a cocktail which they thought was also amazing and couldn’t get over the deserts. They reported their favourite dishes were the blue crab spaghetti, (I can’t remember the correct name), and the Bombe Alaska. They commented it was beautiful way to recharge as a couple because as parents they don’t get enough quality time together. They also reported the deserts came out with sparklers and Happy Anniversary written in chocolate across their plates. Thank you so much to everyone involved in looking after my daughter and her husband and making them feel like a “million dollars!” on their special day. What an awesome place, the atmosphere was great, the serive was friendly and efficient and the food delicious! We managed to book a table and were seated next to the window area. The clear blinds were down to keep the cool weather and rain out, but as it cleared up the staff were onto it and the blinds were raised letting the beaufltiful day it. It was quite lofty with the water views of Lake Macquarie. The big pot plants were on wheels and once seated were move to give us the feel of privacy, creating a great atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious and there wasn't a single dish we didn't enjoy. The servings size of there meals were good for the price and the flavours fantastic. Even the fish with the fish and chips was fresh, thick with the flesh and cooked to perfection. Definitely planning to come back again to try more of the menu

The Club was busy with lots of people. Both eateries were busy. Staff were nice and polite in the choas. We had a table in the south east coener looking over the lake, the views were brilliant. The function packages and inclusions are very reasonably priced and good value. The planning process was easy and communication was good. On the day of our function, we had people arrive to setup our decorations and put together the final touches, only to be faced with a function room which had not been cleaned from the night before and the room not setup at all (tables, linen etc) as we had been promised in our consultation. Instead of setting up our decorations, time was spend rushing to clean up after previous guests and no assistance was provided by staff. The bathrooms also had not been cleaned with male guests opting to use the bathrooms downstairs instead of the function ones due to the state of them. As our function commenced I queried the inclusions of our drink package only to be told we did not have one. We had paid for one but the information had not been relayed to the staff member assigned. The food platter ordered were good and guests complimented the food. However the gluten free platters we ordered had not been noted on the run sheet and were not provided (normal instead). The kitchen staff scrambled to provide some GF food for our guests, which was appreciated but should not have been necessary. The function was understaffed and we had one fantastic staff member who worked the whole function pretty much by herself, serving drinks to 90 guests as well as collecting glasses and liaising with the kitchen to coordinate everything. If it were not for the fantastic staff member we had working the function this would be a 1 star review. She went above and beyond to try and resolve the issues we experienced. And before I am told to email the manager to discuss, this was already done a few weeks ago with no response.

Tonight I visited Mattara hotel for an early dinner. A great location with view across the tropical hills, floors on varied levels. Plenty of car parks, staff were exceptional with customer service. Gaming room too but did not venture in there tonight. I was welcomed to plugging in & charging my phone while waiting for my dinner. Meal amendments were met with a no fuss attitude. I ordered the Salmon & asked for Salad & a bowl of mash potato as it is a seperate side. This was not an issue at all. Potato was to die for!! 🤤 salmon over cooked but I won’t mind well done salmon. Great dinner & service, I shall be back again for my next visit in March. If you have kids you are headed to the right place, a cool mini open basement area with play equipment & a heap of mechanical games are there for amusement. I almost forgot they do the table dial ordering that I am now quite accustomed to in my visits to all states. We ordered the seafood platter. The scallops were dry and rubbery, and the oysters were ruined with what tasted like cheap bulk BBQ sauce. The only acceptable part was the precooked tiger prawns. Whilst the view and atmosphere still make for a great outing, the food has really gone downhill. Wasnt to loud or quiet which was nice. I was amazed by the hospitality and how nice the workers here are and they were very helpful as I couldn't decide what to order. The chef was very polite, Bubbly and friendly needless to say the service here was on point, hopefully come back for another work event so I can try more items on the menu expecially the cocktails and desserts like wow. I ordered a passionfruit mojito and Kilcoy steak rare which was cooked to my liking. We were greeted by a friendly reception staff member who kindly assisted us in check-in. We had googled and read great reviews abt the tiger buffet restaurant. I ordered at 5:48pm and we didn’t receive any meals till 7pm. Groups of people came in after us ordered, ate then left before we even got our food. Really enjoyed it. Good food, good atmosphere, and a lot of gluten free options on the menu for those with Coeliac disease. Went back another 2 times and then decided to become a member. So why only 3 stars? The first is that the specials board does not indicate what is gluten free, and when I ask at the counter they dont know and behave like I am such a terrible inconvenience for asking if they could find out. This happened on two visits. I get that its an inconvenience and I don’t mind that they don’t know, that’s all good, but when there is literally no one else in the line waiting to order, why make a big deal of having to go ask someone and talk to me as though I ruined your day? The second reason is because in spite of the staff members who really didn’t want to find out what was gluten free, I liked it enough to became a member to get the member discounts at the restaurant as I could see myself going a lot more. However, the membership system is not very good. I joined online, paid my fees, got my member card instantly in the app etc, this part all worked a charm. I went to the club all excited to be a member this time and my card was accepted at reception. However, In spite of presentation of the member card in my name showing valid membership until the end of the year, which scanned perfectly fine on arrival at the club, the restaurant system would not find me and they refused to give the member discount. I assume it’s an issue with new member cards perhaps taking an excessively long time to get into the restaurant system, but nevertheless, the blanket refusal to do anything about it and requiring non-member pricing is a bit rich and leaves a really bad taste in the mouth of a first time visit as a member. Honestly, if it wasn’t for the fact I want to support them due to the brilliant GF menu, I would never come back after that experience. Subsequently on this occasion I didn’t bother getting any drinks or dessert, nor spending money anywhere else at the club. I did on previous visits but the member treatment was so underwhelming I didn’t want to share any more of my hard earned money with them. So, all in all, assuming the member discount issue is in fact a system issue that gets sorted out, the main reason for loss of stars is simply the restaurant service. The cafe is a different story. They are always lovely and extremely helpful with what is gluten free and they have delicious slices and cakes, definitely try some of them! I’ve attached photos of the current restaurant menu with GF options highlighted by the restaurant. As you can see, there is a lot on there for Coeliac sufferers, which is awesome and so i really do want to support the club more for having so many great choices!

It had two pool tables, and two snooker tables. I tried dinner in the restaurant. It was quiet nice. For a entree we shared scallops. 3 where natural the other 3 had caviar on them. The ones with caviar were a little too salty for my liking. The natural ones where amazing. It had freshly made house pesto and sweet potato purée. For a main I have the barramundi. It was so soft they must of poached it or steamed it and cooked the skin in the pan. It was the softest fish I have ever had. Was amazing it came with a side of broccolini that where cooked to perfection, and sweet potato purée that was delicious. My friend have the southern fried chicken burger it was great , he enjoyed it very much I highly recommend this club.

We ordered the lobster specials and black onyx Wagyu brisket which we paid at the counter and they brought the meals to our table within 15 minutes of ordering. It was half a lobster served with fresh salad and chips. Lobster was cooked with a cheesy sauce and tasted good. The onyx beef brisket was very tender and juicy with a nice layer of fat on the sides which gave it so much flavour. The sauce was a sticky bbq sauce and went well with the beef. Also had a free meal on the side for the kids. There's a kid's indoor playground area right beside the restaurant so the kids can play while waiting for your meals to come. Perfect for a family lunch or dinner.

My favourite thing was the machine that made fresh pancakes. The staff were lovely! They didn't mind when I asked for a milk alternative, I requested oat milk and they happily supplied it. Food selection was great, quality of food was honestly better than expected but unfortunately I didn't realise until too late that the grilled tomatoes and sauteed mushrooms had cracked black pepper on them (I'm allergic), they tasted great though so was kinda worth the consequences. The price? I think once you add up what it would cost to buy the ingredients and cook at home it's value for money plus there is no messy kitchen to clean up. We gathered and took ages to decide what to have from an extensive menu. In the end, we all chose from the two course menu option for lunch. The menu was great too- nice selection. The reason for one star is staff or service which was non existent. We went there for lunch and the words that were greeted with were - what do you want? The turkish delight cocktail is a taste sensation, and the saffron tea is a perfect way to finish. Also a bargain for plenty of food, 4 glasses of wine and a generous cocktail. For the entree we ordered the mac and cheese croquet with pulled beef. It was alright but I think they could have put more beef in it. For my mains being it was a pasta night I thought I'll try the crab pasta with prawns in seashell broth. It was nice and creamy but too rich and the pasta was a bit undercooked for me. I think it would have been nicer if it has a tomatoey sauce instead of a bechamel sauce to balance it out being the cannelloni stuffed pasta was already rich because of the ricotta cheese in it. So for the second time I was disappointed again. The only thing I enjoyed was the rocket salad with feta cheese which wasn't much at all on the dish. I'm not saying this restaurant isn't good at all but those two pasta dishes I've tried didn't really impressed me. In fact, I was quite disappointed and upset that I paid for 2 meals I didn't really enjoy.

Steak option was not as described in menu lacking the Paris butter, and more on the raw side of medium rare order, also unsure why it was served in a bowl. However staff handled feedback professional, and didn't charge for the steak. I won't be rushing back for a sit down meal. However I would do lunch and snacks by the pool.

Unluckily, the poor delivery girl got a flat tyre on the way. Honestly, we didn't noticed any delay, but the owner personally called to apologise, which already impressed us. Fast forward to today—completely out of the blue, the same order was delivered again by their lovely delivery girl as a gesture of goodwill. That level of customer service is something I’ve never experienced before. On top of that, the food is absolutely delicious. Full of flavour, generous portions, and clearly made with care.
