Night market
Sukhothai Night Market is a popular spot for budget-friendly dining and shopping. The market, located along the river, spans about 800 meters with various vendors offering a wide range of items. From secondhand children's clothing to local sweets and snacks, the market has it all. Visitors can explore different types of foods and local products while enjoying the lively atmosphere. With bilingual vendors accustomed to serving foreigners, it's an ideal place to spend a Saturday night in Sukhothai.
Various booths selling many things. The walking street is around 800m long and the main entrance is on the main road(just after the bridge). You will be able to find some parking spots there or you may go around to the end of the walking street(where the Google Maps marker is) and there will be plenty of parking spots(parallel parking).

Thai restaurant
Poo Restaurant, located in the heart of Sukhothai, is a popular spot for travelers seeking a break. The restaurant offers a variety of Thai and Western dishes, including pad Thai and massaman curry that pairs well with their selection of Belgian beers. Decorated with national flags and wall paintings, the restaurant provides a relaxed atmosphere for brunch or evening drinks.
Lovely air conditioned restaurant and has outdoor seating. On the main road. I had panaang and finished with fried banana with ice cream. Lovely service. Make sure to tell them to bring desert after meal as it came all at once lol. But would recommend. Very delicious authentic Thai. Good prices too
Angela C — Google review
FANTASTIC!!!!! You have to wait a while for the cocktails, but they are REALLY worth the wait. There is an extensive menu and prices are really good. The food was served quickly and was delicious, even though we were a large group. The staff are friendly and there is a great vibe. It has good cool a/c as well, definitely a bonus. I will be back tomorrow again!
Andy T — Google review
The good thing about this restaurant is they’ve a vegetarian option for almost all the main course dishes. Pure joy! We had one vegetarian fried rice and chicken Tom Kha Kai and it was a hearty big bowl of soup. The quality, quantity and service is top notch and definitely worth the visit.
Ms G — Google review
One of the best restaurants in Sukothai in terms of both: food quality and taste. We took papaya salad plus fried chicken and fried vegetables with rice. Big portions and very tasty. Prices are reasonable and it it your 'must try' in Sukothai 😁
Wojtek S — Google review
This is an attractive restaurant from the outside. They did well on the signage and decors as well as the specials menu placed by the door. We decided to try it out for dinner and it was so-so. Their fried veggie spring rolls were oily. There's barely any vegetable inside except for a few cabbage and bean sprouts. The pad see ew was okay. Pad Thai was bland. Plus they charge more than other restaurants. What we enjoyed was the Chang beer served in frozen mugs. Beer always tasted better when served icy cold. The inside was clean, the tables/chairs and decors were nicely laid out.
Belle — Google review
Had a quick dinner here last night and the food was ok. The green curry was good, creamy with strong flavours. The pad Thai was not the greatest I am afraid as it did not seem to taste like the pad Thai we know and love. But the food was generally good, it just didn’t blow us away. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Good prices and a comfortable place.
Morgyn R — Google review
Nice restaurant with a wide selection of food. The restaurant bears a kind of tourist friendly environment judging from all the inscriptions on the walls and all of the menucard is also written in English with good illustrations. The staff is very polite and speaks very good English also. All I all a good experience and I would definitely come back next time I’m in Sukhothai

Restaurant
Located near the bridge in Poo, Chopper Bar is a rooftop restaurant and bar that offers a mix of Thai and Western dishes. The bar underwent renovations recently, but nearby establishments like Bar 6400 continue to attract patrons with their outdoor seating. At Chopper Bar, visitors can enjoy live acoustic music while savoring cocktails or beer towers served by friendly bartenders. The menu features both Thai and European cuisines at reasonable prices.
Great food and service and this lovely open air restaurant. The seating is all upstairs and looks out to the road. Plenty of fans for when it's hot. English menus too. We ate here two times and enjoyed our food, cocktails and beer both nights. Lots of vegetarian options which was great. Reccomend the green curry with tofu - delicious and with lots of vegetables. The service was fantastic, everyone very friendly and the food/drinks came out quickly.

This is a great place. Service is great. They are attentive and friendly. The drink menu is a big book! Lots to choose from. They have a patio on the second floor overlooking the street and lots more seating inside. Love the decor! Sometimes I think they do karaoke or live music because there was a stage area The food and drinks are delicious!!! Recommend everything.
Angela C — Google review
Very surprised as on second floor I had a nice street view. Services took care of my phone power, let me smoke and small bottle of whisky with pocket of ice and coke for less than 280 bahts. No food but it look good
Alain F — Google review
We enjoyed our dinner here. The staff welcomed us with a smile and handed us a thick menu. There's so many options and what I appreciate about it was the photos of the food, English translation, vegetarian choices and options for non-spicy food. This says a lot about the owner/s and shows that they care about their customers especially the tourists. The red curry was delicious. It has a little heat in it, very flavorful coconut milk and plenty of veggies. Their Pad Thai was good too. The noodles were cooked just the way we like them. Al fresco seating on the second floor was nice. The wood decors and furnitures is very telling of local vibe as Sukhothai is one of the old towns in Thailand.

At the time of writing this, I've visited this place twice. First time only for some drinks, the second time I was enjoying a full dinner. Both times, greeted with the tunes of Rod Stewart, possibly a coincidence. Anyhow, the place has very welcoming and attentive staff, great atmosphere and good food. On the latter, even though the menu states that salads are "a little spicy," I think that is from a Thai point of view, still very good, provided enough beer is available ;)

Bar
Bar 64000 is a small and popular bar located at the corner of Pravet Nakorn Rd/Charot Withi Thong Rd in Sukhothai. Despite being situated by the main road, it offers a great atmosphere and friendly English-speaking staff. The bar is known for its reasonable prices, strong cocktails like Long Island iced tea, and beers served in frozen mugs.
We came to this bar for 3 straight nights that we were in Sukhothai. It's a small bar beside the main road and is always full of tourists every night. They make good cocktails at reasonable prices. My go-to is the Long Island iced tea and theirs did not disappoint. The spirits were strong and it tasted consistently the same for 3 days that I ordered it. They also served beers in frozen mugs and that makes the beer tastes extra good.
Belle — Google review
DON'T BOTHER....Four staff, six customers and we couldn't get a second round of drinks, you also have to pay as you go and not run a tab, very unlike Thailand!! Maybe the owner was having a night of ans o were his staff!!! If you want a good cocktail and good service, try Poo Restaurant a few doors down, service, food and drinks are great. I bring small groups to Sukhothai two times each year and this was my first (and last) visit to this bar!!!!
Andy T — Google review
Great small roadside bar in the middle of Sukhothai city. Great vibe and music and very service oriented staff. Prices are very good too. Almost all cocktails are 100 bath and they are made pretty good. Extreme nice decorated also. I would recommend going here for a drink or 10 if you come to Sukhothai.
Kasper H — Google review
Affordable cocktails at 100 baht per glass. Not comparable to those you would get in Bangkok but it is probably the best of what you can get in Sukhothai. The bartender is sincere in making her drinks. Overall a good place to chill and/or to fix your alcohol addiction when you are in Sukhothai.
Lucas — Google review
Such a lovely bar. We passed by few night and decided to stop. Love the vibes here. Prices are honest and not too expensive. They do popcorns as well 🍿
Passport S — Google review
Cool local bar basically on the street. Good drinks, and one of the only options in the area to go out in the evening. Bring mosquito spray

I don't drink anymore but I still Bar Hop with my wife. This bar has a Virgin Menu and everything looks and tastes GREAT. Its closed every Wednesday. A place for Mature People to enjoy each other.

Nestled near a bustling street food alley, Fong Bear is a vibrant local bar that beckons both locals and travelers alike. Open until midnight, it’s the perfect spot to unwind after indulging in delicious Thai cuisine. Located across the bridge on Ramkamhaeng Road, this bar boasts an impressive selection of imported beers alongside a variety of craft options. While some may find the craft beer prices slightly steep, the overall vibe is inviting with friendly service and great music enhancing your experience.
Nice place with a lot of choices. They have craft beers, draft beers and a great list of homemade cocktails

Good vibe overall, but craft beer is a bit pricier than expected. Great selection though! We were placed at the end of the bar; 2/3rd’s of the bar was reserved for other people. Seems decent but can’t give it the full 5 at this time. All in all, reasonable but maybe stick to Thai large beers instead next time?

Nice place with a great beer selection. The tap beer selection wasn't great but the bottled choice was around 40 including some Thai, Belgian & Japanese. Prices were around 200 Baht a bottle. They have free wifi. Service was fast & friendly

Thai restaurant
Dream Café is a unique and enchanting restaurant housed in an old antique Sukhothai house. The interior is adorned with captivating ceramics, antique collectibles, and religious bodhisattva statues. The menu offers a blend of traditional Thai dishes like chicken with cashew nuts alongside more exotic options such as banana flowers and tempura vegetables. The owner, who has a keen eye for antiques, enjoys sharing stories about Thai culture.
Excellent food! We had a shrimp salat, fried chicken and mixed vegetables with shrimp, rounded of with banana in sweet coconut milk. Among the best food we had in Thailand so far. The service is exceptionally friendly and the interior very cosy.
Nikolaus D — Google review
A unique one-of-his-kind place. The very friendly owner has a very good taste for beautiful antiques and likes to tell stories about thaï culture. The restaurant itself is a work of art (the house is an old house with beautiful décoration. The atmosphere is chill ans relaxing with nice and soft music. They also serve ya Dong, a fermented rice alcohol infused with herbs. Délicious old school thaï médicine. And the food is délicious (we tried the fondue a local specialty). Definitly worth every penny! Enjoy ;)
Maxime C — Google review
Delicious food and charming place. I can't believe some well-known travel guides off-handedly mention this place in the same breath as other options in New Sukhothai, as the food here is head and shoulders above. Highly recommended.
Fernando C — Google review
We have had dinner and had chosen the panang curry and two other dishes. The food was good, but not exceptional. The service was very friendly, but overall it seems a little procy to me compared with other restauranta serving food at the same level. A good choice, but certainly not the best.
Peter E — Google review
Great service, food was super delicious. The vintage ambiance is pretty cool. Good family dining, portions are a bit small so make sure to order enough
Gio — Google review
This was quit an experience which I had not expected even though I read the reviews before we went to Dream. The great house covered with plants, thick walls and small windows which could have been placed in for instance Germany. Only the nice ornaments are different. The tables and chairs sturdy and robust. The music a little bit jazzy, the waitress with a certain dignity. Not to many people on monday and mostly coming from Europe. The Thai food we took was delicious and maybe the best we had in the two weeks we have been in Thailand so far. The small details they gave to the food and drinks. My beer in a glass which they must have put in the freezer otherwise I can not explain the effect I saw when the waitress filled my glass with beer but also the "simple" rice served with a "smile" on a small plate with a bananaleaf under it. Small details which made me smile. If you walk around you get the feeling you are in a small museum. Great. When you ate the nice food you find out that the restaurant is a little bit "quirky" as well. Desserts are (excluding icecream) not served. That means that it is also not possible to drink a Coffee after dinner. One other small thing maybe is that you have to wait a little before you are being served but when you are served you get all the attention you want. Summarising I come to the conclusion that I was pleasently surprised by this restaurant and for sure visit it again when I will be around.
Simon H — Google review
I subscribe what I read here. Way overpriced for Sukhothai (800 baht for 3 dishes, 2 waters and 2 small rice plates), food was tasteless (I am going to get a bag of crisps right now to make it up), service was careless (we spent 2 hours here. We were the only customers). Just avoid.
