Amusement park
Water & Amusement Parks
Theme Parks
Gardaland Resort is a renowned amusement park located in Castelnuovo del Garda, Verona. Established in 1975, it has gained international recognition and is considered one of the top amusement parks globally. Situated on the shores of Lake Garda, it spans 46 hectares and features a wide array of attractions and themed areas suitable for all ages. The park offers numerous shows daily, themed restaurants, and beautifully landscaped surroundings.
Gardaland Park offers an intense and unforgettable experience for the entire family. As evidenced by the fact that two days were not enough to do everything, the park's enormous size guarantees an endless variety of attractions and activities. Convenience and accessibility are the name of the game at Gardaland. Entry is exceptionally fast, and within the park, you’ll find food stalls and restaurants on every corner, so there’s always a place to rest and eat. Additionally, the park is technologically advanced and offers two useful apps: one for easy navigation inside the park and another for downloading photos taken on the rides, which adds to the experience and provides fun souvenirs. The variety of attractions is indeed for all ages, but it's important to note that most rides are suited for those 100 cm (3.3 ft) tall and above. Therefore, it's wise to plan accordingly. Even so, the park provides a diverse experience for both parents and children. As mentioned, the most worthwhile option is to purchase tickets directly at the box office. In conclusion, Gardaland is a highly recommended destination. It's a very enjoyable experience for parents and children, and it is highly recommended to take two days if possible, to have enough time to enjoy everything this vast place has to offer.

We had an absolutely fabulous day at the Gardaland! You feel like in a fairytale, and all the roller coasters are very exciting! 😍 I recommend going on a (rainy) weekday, so the queues are shorter and you manage to see everything. Feel free to skip the Jumanji Adventure ride though, it’s not quite worth a 40+ minute wait.
Anastasiia K — Google review
Another amazing amusememt park for kids and older as well. Rides get pretty busy with the nice weather, like in every resort. I wish there was a better overview what each ride offers - we waited 90 minutes for Jumanji adventure, which was absolutely no advanture plus it was all in Italian. Other than that, only 4 rides required height over 140, few over 130. Make sure to check these requirements before going. Also, buying tickets outside od the official venue office is cheaper so look for those selling points in the city.
Katja T — Google review
We visited Gardaland on a Wednesday and had an amazing time! 🎢 The waiting time for each ride was less than 15 minutes, which made the whole experience super smooth. The official app showing live queue times was very helpful — it helped us plan our route efficiently and enjoy more rides. The park is clean, beautifully themed, and well-maintained. Staff were friendly and organized, and there were plenty of food options and rest areas. Both the kids and adults had a blast — from the thrilling roller coasters to the fun family attractions. Highly recommend visiting on a weekday if possible — short queues, great atmosphere, and so much fun! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Yan Z — Google review
Fantastic for kiddies as there is a great balance of calmer rides with ease of motion while still holding very good production value. The adult rides too are equally fantastic. I hold the overall experience below Europa park however and wouldn't go too far out of my way to visit it.
Aaron C — Google review
So much fun, there's something for everyone. We also went during weekday in October, there was minimal queue and wait time even on popular rides. Absolutely recommended visiting if you have kids and are in the area.
Hendy O — Google review
We had such a fantastic time at Gardaland! The park is full of magic, excitement, and plenty of things to do for both kids and adults. There are so many attractions from thrilling rides to fun games that kept us entertained all day. The decorations and themed areas are beautiful and immersive, making it feel like stepping into another world. The staff were friendly and helpful, and everything was well-organized despite the crowds. It’s also worth mentioning that the park is very clean and well-maintained, and there are plenty of places to relax, grab food, or cool down.If you’re visiting Italy with kids, Gardaland is absolutely worth it. We left with big smiles and a new fluffy friend. we recommend
Andreea N — Google review
I am sure that a family would love this place...my wife and stayed at the Gardaland hotel, and rode the bus to the park in the morning (bus runs every 16 minutes) We love roller coasters and these did not disappoint. The atmosphere is very family friendly and the park is very well cared for (it's clean!) over all a great experience.

Park
Parco Natura Viva, located between Pastrengo and Bussolengo near Lazise, offers a unique experience with its Auto-Safari Park where visitors can drive through and observe lions, tigers, monkeys, and various bird species. The park also features a zoo housing a wide variety of animals and an impressive dinosaur park with life-sized replicas.
Great zoo experience at Lake Garda! We were genuinely impressed by this zoo. The grounds are spacious and beautifully maintained, with plenty of room for the animals. You can tell that animal welfare is a top priority here – the enclosures are large, clean, and provide lots of shade. The animals looked healthy and well cared for, and many were easy to observe without feeling like their space was compromised. There’s also plenty of shade along the walking paths, which makes the visit pleasant even on hot days. The layout is clear and well signposted, and everything feels thoughtfully arranged. The restaurants on site were a pleasant surprise – good food, reasonable prices, and a nice variety to choose from. One small suggestion: it would be great if the large playground had more shaded areas – especially for the little ones during the midday heat. All in all, a fantastic visit and a great day out for all ages. We’ll definitely be back
Alexander L — Google review
Gorgeous park! animals look happy and healthy. It's very large and unfortunately we couldn't see it all cause it started raining heavily and we had to leave 😔 but definitely worth a visit! There's also a fun kids park inside so you can have a bite while the kids play and enjoy some great live music 😊👌🏻
Jodi H — Google review
Took us 4 hours to complete as a couple walking around at a normal pace. If you bring your kids it will easily take an entire day, the place is massive and has a lot to offer. The animals have a lot of space and you can tell they are taken good care of. Can highly recommend visiting!
Benjamin H — Google review
A must-visit! Parco Natura Viva is a beautiful nature park with great habitats for animals. I highly recommend adding the photo safari option (a small extra charge) – together the park + safari ticket is only €29 and absolutely worth it. My tip: go in the afternoon hours when it’s less hot, for an even better experience.
Simo B — Google review
The park is huge and nicely organized, I was here during the summer so most of the animals were outside and visible. Some of the animals are hidden so you cannot see them, for example lions (there is only one window from where they could be seen) Overall, the zoo is great!
Jakov P — Google review
This is really one of the best zoos that we have ever been to. We were thoroughly impressed with the amount of space that the animals had and the quality of their environments. Most signs were in both Italian and English. The food was not only good but not overpriced like some zoos. It was very hot when we visited though and I do wish that there had been places to fill out water bottles. The Zoo was very easily accessible from Verona by bus.
Scott M — Google review
Absolutely great park! We started with the Safari by own car and continued walking in the park. The park is decided into areas, with corresponding animals. There are sufficient places to eat, drink coffee and toilets. For a hot sunny day 90% you can walk in the shade. The animal areas are well maintained and cared for. Buy your tickets online from official website, saves money and ones you bought the park tickets, you get a link to book the safari. We spend 5 hours in total and still didn’t see everything. So we will visit again. Visited on a Monday within high season, still easy to walk or see animals front row.
Vincenzo — Google review
The biggest ZOO in Italy! You have a 4 hours walk through the park and 40 minutes ride in the safari. Safari is a great experience and must see! We bought the tickets online for the park, safari and parking (in the application). Note: the walk in the park and the safari need to be in the same day. So, if you go one day in the park and want the next one in the safari it won’t be doable.

Water park
Water & Amusement Parks
Caneva Aquapark, situated in Lazise, is a family-friendly waterpark offering an array of attractions such as tube and chute rides, a lazy river, adult pool, and dining options. As Europe's first themed water park, it provides a tropical island ambiance with captivating music, tropical flora, and white sandy beaches. Visitors can enjoy crystal-clear lagoons for swimming and breathtaking slides reaching up to thirty meters high.
This place is really a great location for a family vacation. Several interesting attractions, quite well-organized and with enough restaurant options and toilets. Important notes from my side is to arrive at the entrance no later than 09:45 to be the first in the aquapark, take the sun loungers where you have an umbrella and go straight to the first attractions. You will wait the longest for the crazy river so go there first. The restaurant offer is ok, it is at the level of McDonalds and KFC and it is great that there is also a fresh corner with fruit, it is really great. All in all, if you are nearby, you like water attractions, it is worth visiting.
Mihael S — Google review
We spent the whole Friday at Caneva Aquapark. Overall, it was a fun experience, and the whole family enjoyed it. Parking costs €7 and lockers are also €7 — card payment only. Unfortunately, the biggest attraction was closed for maintenance, which was a bit disappointing. There were quite a lot of people, but surprisingly, we only had to queue for one attraction — the rest of the slides were available with minimal waiting times. If you’re planning to visit, we recommend arriving right at opening time (10:00), as the park closes at 18:00 and the hours pass quickly. There’s a decent food zone — we chose the menu option, which was €12 per person. Not bad at all. The only downside is that the park feels a bit outdated — a full renovation would definitely make a difference. Still, a great day overall!
Andrii R — Google review
Fun day out, the time flys by when you're there so it's worth coming for opening! Although it was a weekday we did have to queue up to 30 mins for some slides. The majority of slides are for thrill seekers, they are very intense! The black hole 2, they make you weigh yourself in front of everyone to decide whether you can go down or not. If you know you are over 80kg and want to avoid being weighed in front of everyone and being turned away then do not attempt to go on this slide. Luckily, the rest of the slides did not have a weight limit from what we saw. There are many food and drink spots dotted around and fairly priced too, however, there are areas where you can eat your own food. There are lockers as you come in for €7 which we found very useful throughout the day. There are plenty of free sun loungers dotted around but can get mostly taken by midday. It is very confusing where to get rings from for slides, you have to find the end of the slide and queue there to then walk up to the start with your ring. I hope that makes sense! Life guards weren't monitoring very well, kids constantly jumping the queues right in front of them and many people doing dangerous things down the slide and having nothing said to them. There are no clocks around the park so be sure to check your phone or take a waterproof watch with you. A positive was that it was my birthday and I got into the park completely free of charge. I only visited the aqua park so can't comment on movie land.
Becky S — Google review
Caneva – fun concept, but absolutely avoid during peak season! The park looks great and offers some cool, original water attractions. But: the crowds, long queues and wait times completely ruin the experience. Lifeguards are glued to their phones, barely watching the pools. The wave pool works for just a few minutes every hour – very underwhelming. After a full day, there's no proper place to shower or change – only a few cold outdoor showers, no real lockers or changing rooms. Bathrooms are in terrible condition. Great idea, but poorly managed in practice. Very disappointing.
Kinga — Google review
Liked it sooo much!!! We did all of the slides at least once besides the most scarry one. We were lucky to visit in a not crowded day, probably because it was not that hot day with rain expected in August (it did rain for an hour which we didnt care). Only one facility had a long queue but later not even this one. Big variaty of slides and facilities for different ages and extreme levels.
Liran A — Google review
Absolute blast from start to finish. Caneva isn’t just a waterpark—it’s a full-day escape where adults get to feel like kids again and kids run wild with glee. The whole place runs like a well-oiled machine: clean facilities, well-marked attractions, and enough shade and seating to keep parents sane. The rides range from mellow to maniac. We hit the big slides first—pure adrenaline and soaked laughter—then drifted through the lazy river to cool down. The wave pool is a riot when it kicks in, and the pirate-themed kids' area is genius. You don’t need to overthink anything here. You show up, slap on sunscreen, and enjoy the chaos. Food’s exactly what you'd expect—burgers, pizza, ice cream—and honestly, it hits the spot when you’re dripping wet and sun-baked. Staff were friendly, lines moved fast, and despite the crowds, it never felt overwhelming. Five stars, no question. If you’re in the area and looking for a fun day in the sun, Caneva delivers. Bring water shoes and lose your dignity on the vertical drop. Totally worth it.
Ross M — Google review
After reading some recent negative comments, I was unsure what to expect, but we had a really good day at the waterpark. There was a great variety of slides to suit everyone, and the queue times were much shorter than expected, especially for the more extreme rides. Everything felt well managed and we were able to enjoy more time on the rides than waiting around. We arrived early and found a good spot to set up for the day. The park was clean and the layout made it easy to get around. The food was reasonably priced and the meal deals, including a beer, were good value. It was nice to have some proper options without paying over the odds. Overall, it was an enjoyable day and definitely worth a visit. I would go again.
Graham B — Google review
Good option of water activities for all ages. Today was super busy within a few minutes of opening as a public holiday. Meaning no free spaces or loungers around the park. Parking is on site and an extra €7 paid cash or card. Easier to buy tickets in advance to both the watermark and movieland. Good smaller rides for little ones and all the big slides had attendants at them. Can take own food or drink but also able to buy on site

Conference center
Dogana Veneta, also known as the Venetian Customs House, is a historic building in Lazise dating back to the rule of the Serenissima. It once housed a small fleet of boats for traffic control and now stands as an elegant conference center and popular wedding venue on Lake Garda. The building holds significant artistic value with its 14th-century frescoes in the church of San Nicolo and a shrine displaying a Madonna from the 13th century.
Beautiful waterside venue, excellent for company parties and large dinners.

Ristorante alla Grotta is a must-visit gem that captures the essence of Italian cuisine, especially for those enjoying a holiday by Lake Garda. This charming eatery offers an array of classic dishes, from tantalizing squid ink pasta with seafood to freshly caught fish from the lake. But it doesn't stop there; meat lovers will delight in their expertly cooked T-Bone steak and fresh homemade pastas.
I can totally recommend the restaurant! Not only has it a spectacular view it’s also very delicious and the service is 10/10! They are very aware and make sure you have the best experience. They even clean out the table from the bread crumbs after the first course. Totally worth since most of the restaurants anyway have the same menu so why not choose one with phenomenal service :)
Laura — Google review
I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was truly disappointing. I ordered the pasta carbonara, which was extremely salty and had a very strange taste that made it nearly inedible. It felt far from the classic carbonara I expected. Another person in our group had the sea bass, which was full of bones – making it difficult and unpleasant to eat. Overall, this was honestly one of the worst meals I've ever had. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
EASY_M_ 3 — Google review
I am surprised there are negative reviews for this restaurant. Two of us ate here tonight and it was faultless. Excellent quality food in my opinion and good value.
Graham L — Google review
Incredible! This is NOT just another simple ristorante in touristic place! If it was in London or Paris, people would kill themselves in the queue for hours just to get in… seriously! Every detail is taken care of and the whole experience is special. I had a steak that was really so gentle and full of flavors it was the best I had in my life so far. The combination of salty crudo on top and grilled salad leaves below all dipped in sweet and rich wine reduction was just sooo on spot. The whole „design” of each dish was a masterpiece. Real art. Enjoy your life and don’t miss out, explore new tastes and feel heavenly pleasures while dining in this beautiful place. Plus for the professional service and elegant interior.

(Translated by Google) I don't like reviewing businesses because making mistakes is human, but sometimes it's impossible to resist temptation. Two cuts of beef as tough and cold as river stones (Angus...wow!!), side dishes that arrived at the end of the dinner, two glasses of wine and a coffee for €86. Honestly, I felt like I was bait for naive tourists. A postcard view of the lake isn't enough to make a good restaurant.

La Taverna da Oreste is a charming seaside restaurant that perfectly captures the essence of Italian dining. Nestled by the old harbor, it offers stunning views of the lake and nearby church, creating an idyllic backdrop for your meal. The menu features a delightful array of classic meat, seafood, and pasta dishes, along with generous sharing plates that cater to every taste. Guests rave about the fresh raw seafood and expertly prepared risottos, all beautifully presented to please both the eyes and palate.
Great seafood place with excellent and friendly service, quaint location at the old harbor with a view of the beautiful church. Food was fine but service was a little arrogant. I asked how big the portions were and they told me they would be pretty small so I ordered a main dish as well. I wasn't able to finish everything which wasn't to the liking of our server (he didn't realise I was able to understand him when he was asking his colleague in a very condescending tone why I didn't finish the food). Also: The fish was full of bones. We still enjoyed it because of the view 😉

Excellent restaurant in the old Customs House, accompanied by fantastic service. The menu was impressive and the items we ordered were beautiful to look at and tasted amazing. I had the tuna, which was a particularly large portion - no tiny portions here! - and the Rosemary ice-cream with candied bacon and zabaione was incredible! Thoroughly worth a visit if you want a memorable meal.

Porta Lion Ristorante offers an intimate setting where guests can savor elegantly presented regional dishes while enjoying views of the castle from its terrace. Situated near the Lazise promenade, this restaurant was established by a passionate young team in the historic center of town, opposite Porta San Marco. If you are looking for something different, a little more delicate and luxurious than other restaurants in Lazise, with a fine choice of wine in a very nice location, this is your place to be. Very friendly service, very good food and wine and a nice castle view - a very well choice!

Hans H — Google review
In English: Dear managers of Porta Lion Restaurant. This will be my longest review ever given of a specific restaurant. I will start by the less relevant to the more relevant. Would you say the food is the most important aspect to give a review in a restaurant? I would say that's wrong. People don't go to a 5 star restaurant because they're hungry or starving. They go there because they're looking for a 5 star experience. And that's rarely related to the food. But I will still give a review about your food. Your food is delicious! From the crunchy octopus as appetizer, to the amazing primi and secondi... It's all amazing. A huge compliment to the chef! Your staff, they were all very professional, gentile, and generous with their information. But now, I move on to the most important part of my review. Giada! Giada is what made your restaurant a 5 star experience. When we came, the restaurant was very calm, ut had barely two or three tables. Which allowed Giada to really provide that 5 star experience. She's one of the most sympathetic, funny, nice, sincere, approachable, and friendliest person my wife and I ever met! She had the perfect balance of allowing us to enjoy the culinary experience and enjoying amazing friendly contact with her. Her funny, personal and friendly comments were what made our evening spectacular. And obviously, it's her service that made us feel in a 5 star restaurant. We've already had amazing 5 star food before. But if the waiter who is serving is doesn't do their job right, let's be honest... Who enjoys the food? Giada grasps the very basic understanding of how to connect with clients and give them exactly what they want. It's funny that we didn't even have to wait until we needed anything. Whenever we tried to reach someone to ask for something, she was somehow available in 5 seconds at our table. What more could we ask for? I'll answer that: nothing. Great job Porta Lion for hiring a professional. We wish the restaurant all the best, much success, and for sure we're coming back next time we visit the region. You rock! And thanks Giada :)

Among best fish restaurants in town! Superb service!

This is a fantastic restaurant! Food was among the best I've had in Italy. The city of Lazise is charming and the restaurant has a beautiful lake view. Highly recommended! Try their carbonara!

Beautiful place, especially at sunset 😍

Very bad service, it took way too long für the waitress to bring the food and it was also pretty bad. The "Yogurth Ball" for example was too sweet and barely eatebly. Don't get attracted by the view because if you decide to eat at this bistro you'll definitely regret it!

All the dishes were very good: The pasta and the fish. The prices are acceptable, we were actually surprised to pay less then we would have expected. So all in all a recommendation - if you should be in town: give Il Porticciolo a try!
