Tramways
Ascend to the top of Whistlers Mountain on the Jasper SkyTram, the highest and longest aerial tramway in the Canadian Rockies. As you soar to an elevation of 2,263 meters (7,425 feet), breathtaking panoramas unfold before you. From craggy snow-capped peaks to pristine lakes like Pyramid and Patricia, the views are simply awe-inspiring.
We had this on our list when we got to Jasper. It was worth the cost. The views are amazing up there. You can also see the devastation from last year's fire. We opted to hike to the summit. My husband, who is 79, stopped not far from where we started but told me to go on since I was in better shape. I was past the false summit when I just decided to turn around. It was worth it to climb if you can do it but don't go past your limits if you are older. If I was younger, I would've pushed on through since I was so close but I had more hiking to do that day so that was enough for me. We ate in the Summit Cafe and shared the brisket sandwich. It was delicious!! The views from the café are spectacular.

An excellent day out and on a good weather day well worth the effort. The scenery was stunning. The staff ( Max & Cally ) were knowledgeable and will answer questions on your journey. The tram cost about $80 each . Very safety conscious lots of information. The shop and restaurant well worth a visit to sok up the scenery and get a souvenir.

Absolutely worth the money. It stops operating around 2nd November 2025 and back again in March. Beautiful views from the top. We were there late October so the snow made it more difficult to hike to the summit but views below submit great as well. We had a bite to eat at the restaurant.

The Whistler Mountain Tram was a highlight of my trip to Jasper. Spectacular views of the entire region including the surrounding mountains, rivers, lakes and the town of Jasper. The tram ride is smooth and at a good pace - not too fast but not poking along either. Staff are knowledgeable, very friendly and helpful. The restaurant at the upper level is superb. Great food with impressive views. Don't miss it. The dirt hiking trail to the top is not difficult for those in good health and physical shape. But seniors and those with limitations should stick to the decks and platform areas. Bring warm clothing for the mornings and evenings but late mornings through the afternoon can be warm.

Love the whole experience . Would definitely visit again .

The tram “drivers” were friendly and informative. It had recently snowed and was very windy at the top. We didn’t hike to the peak as we were not appropriately dressed for the winter-like weather. Amazing views and the food at the top was phenomenal

An essential part of the Jasper Experience!. What a rush from starting slow out of the station to picking up some speed on the line and ascending that mountain in no time - and it's steep. The little boardwalk at the top is perfect for just relaxing but there are also many trails to explore and how easy after being plopped right onto the peak of Whistlers Mountain. LOVE THIS! ENDLESS VIEWS!

Worth the experience. Fun ride up and back with amazing views and knowledgeable guides giving interesting information. Lots to explore and see on top so wear good hiking footwear and bring layers, water and a snack.

Lake
Pyramid Lake is a picturesque destination with a stunning mountainous backdrop, offering a serene beach, picnic spots, and a charming small island. As you glide across the calm waters of the lake, you may encounter wildlife such as loons, muskrats, and moose along the shore. The reflective surface creates an illusion of floating above the clouds amidst the breathtaking Rocky Mountains. Visitors can access the lake for activities like canoeing from various points including Pyramid Beach and other smaller access areas.
Pyramid Lake is close to Jasper which makes it super easy to get to. The lake is beautiful and peaceful; maybe not as breathtaking as some of the more famous lakes in Alberta, but still worth a visit if you are in the area. It’s usually pretty quiet with not too many tourists around. Parking is limited. There are a few trails nearby, but they’re not the most scenic, the main draw here is just relaxing by the lake.
Daria K — Google review
They have 4 beaches, as you enter you will have turns for beach 1, 2, 3, and then main beach with a parking lot. There is a narrow trail for you to walk around and spectacular Mountain View’s. Pyramid Mountain is very prominent and on a clear day you will have a spectacular view.
Onthegoboomer — Google review
Such a peaceful and stunning spot in Jasper! The view of Pyramid Mountain reflecting on the lake is absolutely magical, especially during sunrise or sunset. You can rent kayaks, paddle boards, or just enjoy a calm walk across the bridge to the island. The water is crystal clear, and the whole area feels so relaxing and romantic. Perfect place to unwind, take photos, and enjoy nature’s beauty. Definitely a must-visit in Jasper!
Aashi — Google review
We saw this lake and mountains in three seasons. Autumn, summer and winter! Every time new views and landscapes open up! There is a bridge with benches where you can sit down and look at all this beauty, if you go a little further, there is an island with a different view of the mountain. Definitely a cool place to visit
Ольга Д — Google review
Beautiful scenery! There are fish in the lake that hang around the bridge a lot. Take the walk to Pyramid Island, you won't regret it.
Natasha P — Google review
Stunning Visited early morning (in August) to beat the crowd. The water was still, and there was a fog that was just starting to clear. Beautiful view of the mountain. Past some elk on the way in. Watched for bears, as had recently been sighted in area. Loved being so close to nature.
Joe C — Google review
Pyramid Lake is a must-visit if you're anywhere near Jasper. The views of Pyramid Mountain reflecting off the lake are absolutely stunning, especially in the early morning or around sunset. There's a cool little pedestrian bridge that takes you to Pyramid Island, which makes for great photos and a peaceful walk. Lots of spots to chill by the water, rent a canoe, or even have a picnic. We didn’t rent a boat this time but saw lots of people paddling around, and it looked super relaxing. Easy access with parking nearby—no crazy hike involved, just pure nature vibes. One of those places that feels peaceful but also iconic. Definitely worth the stop!

Great area to visit. A good walk to stretch your legs and some areas to get into the water or boat. Worth stopping at if you have never been

Museums
Observatories & Planetariums
The Jasper Planetarium & dark sky telescope tours offer an unforgettable experience for stargazers. The Dark Sky Festival celebrates Jasper's Dark Sky Preserve designation with two weeks of programs, featuring talks by notable figures like Bill Nye and George Takei, as well as musical performances under the stars. Visitors can enjoy stargazing at Lake Annette and attend workshops on night sky photography.
The planetarium tour was fantastic. The presentation had great information and the visuals were nice. Would love to go back and do the telescope experience if we had time. The drive up was beautiful and the lodge is lovely.
Cassandra P — Google review
We were genuinely lucky as we had clear skies and about 2 hours of Northern Lights on show, so overall an incredible night. We paid for the extra package which included a walk into a darker area to be privately talked through what we could see. The giant scientific grade telescopes and the talks by the staff we so interesting and you could really feel the passion of the staff who were able to answer every question we had. However, I can appreciate if you only purchase the basic package of just the dome show, this would be disappointing as it's just a projector inside a tent, in a hotel car park, but the full package is well worth the money. There is a rainy day guarantee which is good, if you don't see stars, you have 2 years to return to try again, which is good even if you're a tourist on holiday.
Rebecca D — Google review
This is a temporary built setup with a very very small dome and folding chairs and recliners inside. It’s on a parking lot of the Fairmont hotel. The hotel itself has a great view and walking area, that we enjoyed more than the show itself. The projection is blurry and the whole story is not well thought. It keeps jumping from one point to another without a logical sequence. Skippable.

The highlight of my summer so far! The tour is fantastic and the staff have so much knowledge it blew my mind. We arrived on a cloudy night but still learned and saw so much in the displays and talks, they have a nice cosy set up with a fire, too! We managed to go back the following evening for a complimentary look through the telescopes on a clearer night which was a brucey bonus. Kudos to everyone at the planetarium for putting on such a wonderful show, especially Gerran! And Beth was great with all the organizing!! I am recommending to everyone who visits Jasper, come clear or cloudy skies!

We had a wonderful experience at Jasper Planetarium! The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and the sky show was truly amazing. Seeing the stars through the big telescopes was unforgettable. Highly recommended for visitors to Jasper! — MM Taxi Jasper 🚖✨

My partner and I went to the Jasper planetarium and did the dark sky package tour on July 27th! INCREDIBLE RAINY DAY POLICY! We were originally booked for July 26th but the weather was gray, muggy, and cloudy. One simple phone call and the Planetarium had no issue rescheduling us for any day of our choosing. They even let us think about it for a day to see how the weather would be before picking a new tour date. Absolutely beautiful clear night amidst a week of clouds and rain. HIGHLY RECOMMEND GOING FOR THE DARK SKY PACKAGE, we got to walk privately with a small group around Lake Beauvart and see constellations, satellites, and even a glimpse of Saturn (looks like a big star, you can't see the rings through the binoculars on this particular day) through the crystal clear binoculars they provide. Super nice lodge and surrounding area, very fancy. Everything was ran well and smooth. You can tell the people working here love what they do and love teaching/showing others the night sky. Shoutout to Lyn our tour guide.

I went to Jasper with some friends and the Planetarium was definitely one of the highlights! It was a rainy day but they still made sure we had a fun experience and told us so many cool facts about space! Caitlin did our dome presentation and she did an absolutely phenomenal job. She was so enthusiastic and knew so many awesome things that were super fun to learn about! We were handed off to Gerran afterward where we went to learn some other really cool thing! He was also so wonderful and did an amazing job making everyone feel welcomed and entertained by making pieces of the presentation interactive which was super cool! I would absolutely recommend the planetarium to anyone heading over to Jasper, especially if you have an interest in space and the universe. Thank you to everyone at the Planetarium for such a wonderful experience!

Bodies of Water
Nestled in Jasper National Park, Patricia Lake is a serene and picturesque destination offering a range of activities for nature enthusiasts. The 5km loop around the lake provides stunning views of meadows, valleys, and possibly wildlife sightings such as elk and moose. For more adventurous hikers, the trail to Geraldine Lakes offers options for both easy and challenging treks. Visitors can also enjoy stand-up paddleboarding on the tranquil waters or try yoga on a paddleboard for a unique experience.
We were staying at the Patricia lake bungalows and the bungalows is right facing the lakes. The water is quite clear and there is a dock where you may explore the beauty by boats. Come in the autumn and it is worth visiting for several times.

This was one of the best places I stayed on my vacation to Canada. I saw lots of action with bears and wildlife. I would definitely come here again.👍👍

A really beautiful Lake about a 45 minute walk from Jasper, with its clear water and stunning surroundings, it is easy to see why it is a very popular Lake to visit for tourists on the way to pyramid Lake, mainly due to the easy access by car. If you walk here, bring bear spray. Lake freezes Iver in the winter.

Stunning location. One of the most beautiful spots in Jasper National Park. It’s amazing how peaceful this place is. You really get impressed by the nature. Definitely is a must seen location!

A very nice lake to take a canoe on and paddle around. Parking unfortunately is rather sparse and it can get quite busy. They have different types of watercraft and the only motorized is an electric boat which is nice for keeping it peaceful. We took a canoe out for an hour and that was plenty. They also have kayaks, paddle boats, row boats and a motorized family carrier.

Hostel
Lodge
Located in the heart of downtown Jasper, Jasper Downtown Hostel offers a range of accommodations including simple dorms, private rooms, and family rooms. The hostel features a communal kitchen, lounge with fireplace, outdoor BBQ area, and games room. It is within walking distance to shops, cafes, restaurants like the popular Jasper Brewing Company and the Friends of Jasper gift shop. Unlike other hostels in the national park operated by Hostelling International, this hostel is run by locals.
Really great hostel experience. Check in was very smooth and didn't take long. You get a towel and bed sheet upon check in. Stayed in one of the 8 bed bunk beds. There is a privacy curtain for each bunk. We had an in-room shower and toilet and no issues there. It was very clean. Also the bunks came with a personal small fan. No issues with the room being too hot. The location is phenomenal and there is paid parking right next to the hostel during the day and free street parking up the street. There is a large kitchen downstairs. Only thing I would have like to have had was a personal locker in the room. Overall, this was a great hostel experience if you are the type of traveler that enjoys being in a hostel. You can't beat the price for being in downtown Jasper. I would definitely stay here again if in Jasper!

I stayed at this property for two days, booking directly through their website. Overall, my experience was exceptional and truly enjoyable. I encountered no issues during my stay — the service was excellent, and the staff were incredibly accommodating. A special thanks to their team members, who were especially helpful throughout. I will definitely be returning and highly recommend this place to anyone planning a visit to Jasper. They have ample of spots for car, clean rooms and washrooms which were most important. Even their location is very close enough to Patricia Lake, Pyramid Lake and beautiful patio restaurants in their neighbourhood.

I accidentally booked a private room with a maximum capacity of three, for four. It didn't seem like an issue until after check-in, where I made it clear to the worker that we had four guests. He waited until after we were totally checked in and paid to knock on our door to inform us we were required to book a separate single bed in a shared dorm. It was pretty frustrating he didn't mention this during the check-in process, where as mentioned, I made it entirely clear there were four of us. I ended up reluctantly booking a single bed in a shared dorm. I took my towel and blanket and set it on the bed I was assigned. It wasn't until midnight I went back, only to learn my bed had been stolen - the room was entirely full. Of course this wasn't an issue as we had already planned to sleep four in the three person room, but it was definitely the icing on the cake of the frustration. No staff were available to sort this problem out - no late night phone number to call, and had we not booked a private room, I would have had to sleep in the car. TLDR: Be wary of people stealing your bed here, and be mindful that the staff take their jobs way too seriously only to further inconvenience you for no reason.
Beau — Google review
I had a car accident on my way to this hostel, so obviously I couldn’t get there and spend the night, I called to ask for a reimbursement but they wouldn’t do it because “that’s the policies of the house”. I found it unfair. The place has no empathy at all. Be careful when you book a night in this place, plan your accidents as well just in case of loosing more money for nothing!
Jodie M — Google review
The dorm room was good and I appreciated the curtains. Kitchen was good. I did however think that the mixed bathrooms were strange - particularly for showering. I am all for progressiveness, but as a younger female I felt strange being in the shower room with men over 60.
Emily S — Google review
Anyone who has ever stayed in a dormitory, it's like this here. Not much different. For those traveling solo or in groups with a budget in mind, this is the right place. For couples who are not budget-conscious, you can probably find another room. The special thing is that their kitchen is fully equipped, large and suitable for cooking. Laundry machine also have, CAD 3.00 per washing mchine & CAD3.00 Per dryer. The location is in the middle of Jasper town, very strategic for mobile tourists. There is a hostel parking lot but it is very limited (1st come 1st serve), other free parking is a bit far away.

Bistro
Nestled in a quiet corner of Patricia Street, The Raven Bistro is an upscale and intimate dining spot with modern artistic decor. This cozy gem offers a fusion of Mediterranean cuisine using locally sourced seafood, beef, pork, and game. Their menu features creative dishes like the seafood pot simmered in a flavorful broth and served over sweet-potato noodles with Asian vegetables. The bistro also surprises guests with delicious vegan and gluten-free options like the chocolate-pecan tart.
It was so good, we went there twice during our three day stay in Jasper. The staff is super friendly and courteous. The menu differs on midday and dinner time. But stays delicious! The Schnitzel and salmon were perfectly done. Crunchy and smooth at the same time. The curry dip which goes with the yam fries was my personal favourite. I could have eaten way more of that tasty dip. I also have to acknowledge the variation of gluten-free options. My sister never had any problems with the food afterwards. Besides the gluten-free dishes they also have vegetarian options. I definitely recommend eating at the Raven Bistro!
Julie — Google review
Tasty and unusual meal - though the meat dishes looked great, we went vegetarian tonight. Started with the warm Muhammara, a slightly spicy red pepper based dip with soft pita - perfect with a cold crisp beer. One entree was the Root Vegetable Gratin, a hearty layering of beets, carrots, sweet potatoes and more, baked, with a light creamy sauce and nice side salad. Second entree was La Pastilla, a phyllo-wrapped variety of Middle-Eastern-spiced vegetables on a tomato-chili chutney - delicious, and large enough to bring home leftovers. Erica was charming, helpful with food and wildlife-spotting recommendations. Really want to come back for the Three Pharaohs- three meat dishes that looked amazing.

Locally owned and operated, make a reservation because you don’t want to miss this gem in Jasper. Let’s start with atmosphere. Calm, lovely, classy, clean, friendly.. Service- Excellent- Food -I could write a full description about each dish my friends ate - because the food was beautiful (and yes, food can be beautiful). I ate the ribs and they were outstanding!! So was the pasta, and the salad, and the whole table raved about flavors and taste. I always check the bathroom and it did not disappoint - clean and classy. (If you are in a wheel chair or have trouble walking you might want take out as it wasn’t very mobility friendly) Make a reservation if you want to eat here. I’m sure you can stop by and try but this is also a local favorite so it’s often busy! Final word 10/Yummmmmmm.
Sherry D — Google review
The atmosphere was lovely, and the service was excellent, making for an enjoyable visit. However, I found the food didn't quite live up to the price. The ribs, for instance, were a bit dry on the inside, and their flavor mainly came from a light BBQ sauce. I was hoping for a richer flavor profile - maybe some marinade or smoky elements - to enhance the taste. It was a pleasant experience overall, but I wouldn't say it's enough to make me eager to return again.
Rob W — Google review
Enjoyed a lovely alfresco meal after a long day of driving. I was up for anything edible and the food turned out splendid. To start, the Spanish chicken wings had a nice spicy kick that paired beautifully with the super sweet caramelized onions. We weren’t sure what to expect from the bison ribs, but they were surprisingly tender and the accompanying sauce was full of flavor. The seafood pot was also tasty, though I wish there was more rice to soak up the delicious sauce. The salad was fresh and vibrant. Many of the dishes had bright citrus notes which went perfectly with our sangria and helped make it a perfect summer evening.
Kingramen — Google review
The Raven is probably the hottest ticket in town at the moment given the number of groups that were turned away without a reservation, and it certainly lives up to the hype. Food was inventive, sensibly used local ingredients and was very well prepared - the lamb in the three meats platter was particularly excellent as we do not normally like lamb but on this occasion its pungency was well-balanced with the char on the patty and the mint sauce. Service was also warm and attentive. Would strongly recommend.
John L — Google review
After a day of hiking and researching restaurants, we opted for The Raven and what a great decision it was! The white sangria was excellent. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and our server Clarissa was wonderful, cheery and attentive. We shared nachos, falafel and wings to start. All were wonderful and the entrees weren’t rushed out. The entrees were 2 burgers and a salad with salmon on top…also all outstanding. Definitely a place I’d recommend and come back to.

Brewpub
Jasper Brewing Company is a modern brewery with a bright and stylish interior, offering housemade craft beers and elevated pub fare. It's a popular spot where visitors can settle down in front of an open fire, enjoy pub grub, watch big screen TV, and sip through a menu of craft beers.
Had a late lunch at the Jasper Brewing Company. Solid food all around. Fish and chips, wings, poutine, or just a nacho snack, all of it was top tier perfectly made. S&P wings were crispy and tasty, a good size and not dry, like many others I've had. Recommended. Lots of beer choices if you like a fruity type. I had the Crisp Pil. Easy drinking and smooth. Service was good and constant to check on things. Atmosphere was quiet, some large sports TVs. Bathrooms were clean. Overall a 5 star, will be back. Please support Jasper so that the town can be greater than it was. Thanks.

We had a spot outside in front of the business which was nice with the good weather. We just walked in without a reservation. They have a nice range of beers to choose from, some a bit more niche then the other. I also went for the elk meatloaf which was great. We had a good time.

We loved this place so much that we came three times during our 4-day stay in Jasper. That says it all! The atmosphere is great, and every staff member who served us was attentive, professional, and genuinely friendly. The beers and food were exactly what we were looking for. Highly recommended!

We stopped in at Jasper Brewing Co. and had a great experience! The atmosphere is very casual and welcoming — one side is more of a restaurant, and the other has a lively bar vibe. Service was good and friendly throughout our visit. We tried the wings and fish & chips, both were delicious and cooked perfectly. There are TVs everywhere, so it’s a great spot to catch a hockey or baseball game while enjoying a good meal and a cold drink. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Jasper!

The restaurant is quite big, which impacts the atmosphere. The service is friendly, but not fast. The 1660 stout is very nice, perhaps a bit too cold compared to Guinness. They sell nice merchandise like T-shirts and jumpers, as well as glasses (not cheap at 12$, excl tax (and excluding a drink in it!)). They have many televisions. At one point they showed the same game, but one screen was one minute behind the other one, which was slightly irritably

Pizza restaurant
Jasper Pizza Place, known as JPP by locals, is a casual dining spot offering wood-fired thick-crust pizzas, wings, pasta, and other mains. The restaurant's rooftop patio is a popular feature among visitors. One of their standout dishes is the Canadian poutine with an Indian twist called Rogan Josh, featuring crispy shoestring fries, mozzarella cheese, squeaky curds, and cilantro.
Very nice, friendly staff. I enjoyed the pizza, had the thin version with a nice fluffy crust. The pizza was tasty, topping wise it could have been a bit more generous, other than that just a really good pizza, nice place with a great beer selection. When it gets crowded, it can be a bit loud. Overall, I would recommend coming here when staying in Jasper.

Tried 3 different types of Woodfired pizzas but they were all average. We get much better and yummier wood fired pizzas in California so may be not the same . Their patio looked great for such a small place like Jasper but the blinds were down because of the rain , when we went . And yes , they didn’t attend us for a long time until we asked them to take the order , they apologized for that however. Seeing the great reviews ,we thought our experience would be the same , or is it hit or miss ?

After a long day of hiking we decided to do takeout pizza. A popular place in town it's always busy during peak dinner time. We tried their traditional baked pizza *the Sicilian* ham, sausage, yellow hot peppers and cheese. *The Athabasca* gourmet thin crust consists of black olives, artichokes and cheese. Both pizzas were delicious! No complains!

Haven’t been here in years, and it seems like there may be new owners because the food felt different this time around. The pizza itself was quality, and I really liked that they offered two options: pan or wood oven. The fries were tasty and seasoned just right. I also appreciated the great selection of dips to go along with the meal. ($2.50) per dip. The roof top patio was lovely! One fun surprise was their awesome t-shirts definitely a cool touch that stood out. The staff were very nice and accommodating, which made the experience pleasant overall.

Great dining experience in this place. Was surprised by their meat ball pizza. It’s very pricy for a pizza ($28) but seems it’s expensive to eat everywhere in Jasper! Draft beer is fresh and server made very good recommendations.

We stopped at Jasper Pizza Place during our trip and wow, their pizza was incredible. I am completely obsessed with their BBQ chicken pizza, it was loaded with flavor and cooked perfectly. Our family of four was so happy with our meal. We grabbed our pizzas to go, took them on a little adventure, and enjoyed a picnic in the mountains by the water. Highly recommend checking this place out if you are in Jasper.

Nestled in a small mountain town, Fiddle River Restaurant offers a rustic-themed dining experience with stunning mountain views. The upscale menu features responsibly sourced Canadian seafood like crab, cod, salmon, and lobster, as well as game meats such as wild boar and elk. Diners can savor signature dishes like Earl Grey smoked candied salmon and braised elk stroganoff while enjoying the picturesque surroundings from the second-floor dining room.
It is a great experience to dine in this restaurant. I didnt reserve my book beforehand n i requested a table by window. The lady welcomed us was so friendly n did give me a table by the window which made us cheerful. Then we were served by a pretty lady and her name is Kea. Her service overall was perfect n made u feel so comfortable to dine in this restaurant. (NB:Some other Canadian restaurants just make u so stressful to dine in.) We ordered mussels , seafood soup and snapper. They are delicious! I strongly recommend this beautiful restaurant n hopefully u can be served by Kea. She is friendly n sincere overall!!

The food was exceptional! I had the seafood chowder and my husband had the seafood risotto. The food was fresh, creamy and bursting with flavour. The service was friendly, fast and our server checked on us many times and refilled our drinks. I would highly recommend. I also loved the artwork on the walls by a local artist.

Right across the Jasper train station for all your Rocky Mountaineering customers is a restaurant offers a wonderful variety of seafood paired with an amazing view of Jasper. The service was excellent from start to finish, and the staff did a great job accommodating our party of seven. We started with the fried calamari and shrimp appetizer, which was crisp and flavorful. For the main course, we shared the Fiddle Fish Pot—a delicious combination of salmon, snapper, prawns, mussels, and clams simmered in a tomato, saffron, and fennel coconut broth, served with French lentil coconut rice. It was rich, fragrant, and beautifully prepared. The rest of our group enjoyed the salmon, chicken breast, and pork chop, all of which were well-cooked and nicely presented. Overall, this is a fantastic spot for dinner in Jasper—great food, welcoming service, and views that make the experience even more special.

To get to the restaurant there are a few flights of stairs. Unless there’s an elevator, I Didn’t see any wheelchair access. The Wait to be seated was very short. There were only a few other patrons inside. Ordered Two small shares for lunch, which were brought to the table shortly after. I don’t think the waitress was happy we only had water to drink and only the two shares. “Is that it?” Average service. For the value of the food I would have expected better serving size. Six shrimp and and small serving of Ceviche. Although there were lots of visitors in Jasper making street parking a challenge, Fiddle River used to be busy with customers. Maybe not so much now for a Noon lunch. Other lunch venues were busy with patios. Window views are dirty, and sadly wildfires ravished the mountain trees and no wildlife to be seen wandering the area.

Service is top notch. Our server was Tomi, and she was super friendly and accommodating. We are a party of 3 adults and a dog ( in a carrier ), she provided blankets for us and water for our pet. There is a portable heated pole outside to keep you comfy. Food is fresh and very well presented. Overall, highly recommend this place

Outstanding place for fresh seafood and chill ambience. ordered: fiddle fish pot, seafood risotto, rainbow trout all fishes were fresh and plump risotto was creamy and extremely delicious with a wonderful blend of mushroom and seafood and great texture from the rice fiddle fish pot was tangy and refreshing with a little brininess from hidden capers tldr: you cant really go wrong with choices here but the risotto is an almost must-get

Food was excellent!!! The Schnitzel is very large and took up the entire plate lol. If you order this item I would definitely ask for a gravy or a sauce to go with it. Wish I took a picture but unfortunately I did not. Desert was good as well but note the Creme brulee was a cold desert not hot or at least when we ordered it. We really enjoyed this restaurant and will definitely be back again.

Delicious food and a lovely view. A busy restaurant, reservation recommended for the weekend. The staff were very kind and though we were late for our reservation, they sat us by the window :-) Our group of 5 got the - Pacific Rim Ceviche appetizer - Alberta Elk Stroganoff - Fiddle Fish Pot - Wild Game Meatloaf - Burger with fries Definitely a filling meal and very yummy, though the elk stroganoff was a little dry. Our favourites were the Fiddle Fish Pot and the Wild Game Meatloaf.

We haven't been to Evil Dave's Grill since they moved to this location, and since we were staying at the Marmot Lodge, we figured it was a great opportunity to have dinner at Evil Dave's with our children. I made a reservation through their website and I'm sure glad I did as the restaurant was full upon our arrival. People without reservations were either being turned away or having to wait, but it seemed as though most had made reservations. Our server was very helpful and offered some great suggestions. Our children both decided on the Hurtin' Alberta kids meal and they greatly enjoyed it, saying that the burger was better than the ones I make at home (how dare they 😆). They had some other great options for kids as well. The Little Buddha was their second choice. My wife chose the Karma Curry with chicken and naan bread, and it was easily the best dish that was ordered. It was very flavourful and filling, and I honestly wish I had ordered it myself. I ended up going with the Chef's Cut steak with daily vegetables which was perfectly cooked. Even though it was delicious with a peppercorn sauce that complimented the entire dish, I think I would've enjoyed the Karma Curry a bit more. We finished our meal by sharing their Chocolate Cake and ice cream. It definitely wasn't a cheap dinner for the family, but it was delicious and memorable. We'd definitely return again in the future.

Really enjoyed the menu here. I had the bison meatloaf and it was very good. Good service and comfortable environment. Would go again.

Food pretty great. Drinks not so much. Had a 'Cool Brew' cocktail (an espresso martini in all but name) that was the worst I've ever had. Their Instagram shows a better version than I was served, I think possibly the bartender's first day. For a place that boasts high quality cocktails, it was hilariously bad. See pic. Watched the bartender make it, he doesn't appear to understand how to shake a cocktail. Beer selection was also a lone hefeweizen. We were put on a table basically beside another large group, and seated after a couple who had a reservation a half hour after us, who got a much nicer table. Just felt like it was everybody's first day in hospitality. Everything except the food which I genuinely can't fault. My awkward order was accommodated perfectly. The chefs deserve a better everything else.

Evil Dave’s Grill – A Jasper Gem That Misses the Mark on Flavor The name Evil Dave’s Grill sets high expectations, and walking in, I was impressed. The decor is beautiful and captures the essence of Jasper perfectly—cozy, stylish, and inviting. The service matched the atmosphere: friendly, attentive, and efficient throughout the meal. Unfortunately, that’s where the praise ends. The food was a major letdown. Despite a menu that sounded promising, what arrived at the table was bland, uninspired, and lacked any real depth of flavor. It genuinely felt as if some of the dishes came straight from a can—overpriced and underwhelming. For the cost, I expected much more. Jasper isn’t short on great dining options, and sadly, Evil Dave’s didn’t deliver where it matters most: the food. With a bit more attention to flavor and creativity in the kitchen, this place could live up to its potential. Until then, it’s style over substance.

Very nice food, great service I went for the typhoon noodles with prawns and had the vicious hippies pan fried gyoza, lovely flavour throughout the noodles had a lovely background heat to them in a delicious sauce, the gyoza had a nice subtle gingery taste, id say slightly on the pricey side for what it is but can't fault the food as it was delicious and the service was impeccable.

Overall food is good. I don’t recommend the poutine as it was made with goat cheese, the salad has panko on top which becomes quite soggy and weird once it hits the dressing. Overall though, it’s decent.

An overall 5! The food was incredibly yummy and our server was very attentive! It did take a hot minute to get seated even though it wasn’t that busy but it was nice and cool in the restaurant and the curry was mild and yummy! Steak was also excellent! Love that the menu denotes dairy free, gluten free, vegetarian etc! The “Daily Bread” is dairy free FYI
