History Museums
Macaulay Heritage Park, located just outside Picton, is a top tourist attraction featuring a variety of notable buildings such as the Macaulay House, Church of St. Mary Magdalene and Parish Cemetery, and Carriage House. The museum offers informative exhibits on the county's history and indigenous activity. Visitors can enjoy the pleasant grounds for picnics and explore the historical home and church while learning about Rev Macaulay and Picton's history from knowledgeable guides.
5 stars for the Mcauley home, the volunteer inside was so knowledgeable and had great insight into the former occupants as well as how/where items in the home were sourced. I really enjoyed the home, gardens, and the heritage cemetery was also very interesting. We went into the church, I liked the path forward overall, but the spray painting of the walls in this historic church looks awful. The stained glass and church exterior is very nice though.

What a wonderful tour! Jessica has a real talent for storytelling! Highly recommend!!!

A land mark that needs some more development. Not a bad place to go if you are in the town and nothing else good to do

Beautiful historical home and church.

Very pretty grounds. Unfortunately, church was closed.

Great exhibit beautiful buildings, friendly staff and lots of green space!
Kendra F — Google review
The museum guide was informative and funny. I learned a lot about the county when visiting and I’m someone who’s lived in the county for 24 years. The section of the museum that I enjoyed the most was based on the indigenous activity that’s happened over years and years in the county. I def enjoyed the visit.

The whole family had a great time. Santa was there handing out presents. There was hot beverages, and treats. My 4 year old grandson was amazed by the old world ways that are on display. No fee just donation.

Nature preserve
Bird watching area
Heritage preservation
Birdhouse City is a popular natural reserve located in Prince Edward County, offering a relaxing and enjoyable day out for visitors. Established in 1980, it provides various outdoor recreational activities within the Macaulay Mountain Conservation Area just outside of Picton. The main attraction is the trail featuring over 100 unique miniature birdhouses, each with its own design and theme.
Amazing place, far exceeded our expectations. There's about 50 creative birdhouse to explore, along a well maintained path. Definitely recommend this as a stop - its short and unique, fantastic work by folks who maintain this.
Artem S — Google review
When I planned to visit birdhouse city I did not expect it be so badly maintained . The bird houses are very cute and I would have enjoyed the place a bit more if some effort had been put to cut the grass and remove the weeds at least. It looks a bit eerie and unkept. If that was the vibe they were going for then good job. I saw small snake as well on the way up. So please be careful.
Smi M — Google review
This place is way beyond my expectations. It is super cute, and i feel like recommending this place to Amazong Race Canada, as hunting for Massassauga Park Hotel was a fun task!🤭
A W — Google review
The amazing Birdhouse City is a miniature community of whimsical hand-crafted birdhouses depicting the unique character, culture, and history of Prince Edward County. Each birdhouse rests high on its own platform and pole and provides a safe place for birds to nest in. Located at the Macaulay Mountain Conservation Area just outside of Picton, the City offers a one-of-a-kind, outdoor experience for people of all ages. I especially loved the Mustang Drive-In which is playing “The Birds” by Alfred Hitchcock! Paths are cut into the grass and the houses are about 12’ high. A tiny bit buggy. It is managed by volunteers in partnership with Quinte Conservation. Allow a minimum of 20 minutes for your visit. The site is a couple acres. It is said there are over 100 charming birdhouses! Parking (paid) is available on site, but I recommend a visit to the Macaulay Heritage park first. You can find the tombstone of William Pierce - Died Feb 31st !? And see the magnificent Georgian house. There is a FREE parking lot on the right of the house. Behind the small barn is a path through the forest which will lead you to Birdhouse City in under 15. It is extremely well-maintained and has benches. You can extend your visit to include a hike. Make sure you include this stop on your visit to PEC!
Jen H — Google review
Fun little diversion. The path isn’t clearly marked so we walk the same areas a couple times. Very interesting place.
Bill B — Google review
Super cute place to walk around. The tick notice scares people but the area is mowed so it's not too dangerous if you stay out of the tall grass. I hope the parking fees go to the upkeep of the birdhouses as they are very pricey for the area. Nice area to walk around.
Jessica D — Google review
Hands down one of my favourite parts of my trip to Prince Edward County. It is an approximate 5 minute drive from Downtown Picton. The hand-crafted birdhouses are all adorable and I appreciated how they paid homage to Prince Edward County. The birdhouses are situated on a well maintained grassy hill. While there were other people walking through, it is a large enough walking path that you can pass people easily. It's fun walking through and hearing all of the birds communicating with each other. It's evident how much passion the volunteers have for maintaining the area. Highly recommend a visit if you're in the area!

Movie theater
Concerts & Shows
The Regent Theatre in Picton is a historic gem with a stunning neon-lit marquee and an art-deco design that dates back to 1918. Managed by The Regent Theatre Foundation, this community-based non-profit has meticulously restored and maintained the venue, offering live performances, new and classic films, as well as international fine arts programs. Located on Main Street, it serves as a vibrant center for the arts in the county.
From movies to musical acts to other special events, The Regent brings a wide range of arts & entertainment to the Prince Edward County community, and for this I am grateful. We enjoy the opportunity to see movies that range from wide-release titles to one-night only limited release films. Also appreciate the variety of musical acts that we have been fortunate to enjoy at this venue. Fantastic snack bar as well that is licensed and includes a selection of wines, beers, ciders, and coolers.
Laurie H — Google review
Lovely refurbished historic theater. Too bad the old 'ticket window' was closed during covid and never reopened. Staff was incredible. No hassle pre-booked entry. Really enjoyed the snack bar, we got popcorn and drinks. Seating was comfortable but not having cup holders does make it somewhat awkward. Screen size has been kept small, perhaps the original size when it was adapted to see motion pictures? Wish I could say the movie was as good. I would say the worst Superman movie of them all.
Don M — Google review
We attended the show called "a perfectly reasonable night of comedy". The participants were definitely experienced in the craft of comedy. My partner and I felt that the performers were not prepared well-enough and that there were actually awkward moments between them. It was difficult to hear each performer at times because they were all talking at once. The podcast idea was a great one, although the execution was a little awkward. It would be great to see Carolyn and the rest of the Baroness von Sketch team in the future.
Fiona S — Google review
It was my 1st time attending the Regent Theatre, it's a beautiful old building, & I loved the workmanship of the ceiling. I went to see Roy LeBlanc, a tribute artist performing songs by Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, & Elvis Presley. I thoroughly enjoyed the show!!!

Nature & Wildlife Areas
Macaulay Mountain Conservation Area, located in Prince Edward County, offers a variety of hiking trails suitable for all skill levels. The Main Loop is a popular route that highlights the area's best features, including Birdhouse City, perfect for bird enthusiasts. With over seven kilometers of trails winding through scenic woodlands and showcasing ravines, old quarries, creeks, and gullies, visitors can enjoy a peaceful day of hiking or picnicking with the available facilities.
Had parked at lot beside Macaulay Heritage Park (church/house) and walked about 15m to see Birdhouse City. There is a pond and we did a small hike around that. Very well-maintained and lots of dog walkers. Will go back to explore more!
Jen H — Google review
Very scenic and enjoyable ! The Macaulay Mountain Conservation Area sports around 20 square acres of forest and trail. Its very easy to navigate as there is a clear path through it. There are several "resting spots" with benches . Strongly recommend a visit, and its right beside town!
Carl C — Google review
This was such a beautiful place with several trails to hike. The main trail took us about an hour and a half to complete and it was fairly easy. You do have to watch out for a steep hill you need to go up at the beginning but after that, you’ll come across such beautiful forests. Parking is $5 paid online and when we went, there weren’t that many people. Perfect place to go on a peaceful hike.
Hannah H — Google review
What a beautiful spot! Very picturesque. It has plenty of varieties of trees (hemlock, black walnut, etc.) and foliage along the different trails, some of which are flat, and some which go up the mountain. It is well groomed with an area along some water as well. This area has ticks so make sure you check yourself and your pets when leaving. 👍
Nathan B — Google review
Went for a hike here. Super pretty. I’m not sure which trail I did, but I don’t think it was marked. Sorry, I went with friends who know the trails. It was gorg. Terrain was moderate with inclines and declines that were a little sketch with the ice. Kid wasn’t afraid, but was sliding around. Dog loved it. Great winter hike. Will go back.
Jordan H — Google review
Wow! Totally beat all our expectations. We didn't manage to do all of the trails, but the ones we did were incredible, especially the yellow trail. For us, this was an even better park than Sandbanks, overall.
Jason B — Google review
Beautiful trails. Maps a bit confusing but other than that it was a tremendous experience. Wish we had had time to go for longer walks and experience more of the park.
Darien S — Google review
This is a tiny location to visit, but it has a great cafe with a view, and one or two nice old buildings to photograph. The cafe patio has a view overlooking the river below: quite a panorama...probably makes it worth a quick stop. There are a few historic plaques to read nearby.

Public beach
Nestled in the heart of Prince Edward County, Sandbanks Provincial Park is a stunning recreational oceanfront destination renowned for its breathtaking natural beauty. Home to the largest sand dune system in the world and a picturesque freshwater sandbar, this park offers an array of outdoor activities from April to October. With over 600 campsites available—ranging from fully equipped sites with electricity to more secluded walk-in options—there's something for everyone looking to immerse themselves in nature.
Sandbanks is an absolute gem and easily one of the most stunning beaches in Ontario. The sand is soft and clean, the water is clear and refreshing, and the shoreline seems to stretch forever. It’s the perfect spot whether you want to swim, sunbathe, or just take a relaxing walk along the beach. The dunes are gorgeous and make for great photo opportunities, and there’s plenty of space so it never feels overly cramped, even on busier days. The shallow, gentle waters make it ideal for families, while the wide open views are pure bliss for anyone looking to unwind.
Lucas C — Google review
The outlets beach is the most popular, with it's expansive, two-kilometre-long shoreline, soft, white sand and rolling waves, thousands flock here each summer. 750,000 of them, in fact. A day-use-only beach, you're required to book your visit in advance to guarantee entry, but it's worth it. There's a restaurant on site and many washrooms and changing rooms nearby. Plenty of parking but get there early for a good spot.
Terrence S — Google review
Sandbanks Provincial Park is an amazing spot for a picnic, a relaxing day at the beach, and swimming. The beach is entirely sandy with no rocks, making it ideal and comfortable for swimming. To enter the park, you’ll need to reserve or register in advance. The park is well-equipped with change rooms, bathrooms, and plenty of parking. There’s also lots of space to sit and relax near the water, whether you’re sunbathing, snacking, or just taking in the view. A perfect getaway for a summer day!
Shiva S — Google review
So beautiful. The camp sites are nice. Happy to hear the comfort station is getting an upgrade. Though I’ll doubt they will change the footprint, more stalls are needed. The bathroom is always busy with its proximity to the beach and all the camp sites. The sunsets are gorgeous. We always have a wonderful time here. Highly recommend!
Amy M — Google review
A stunning provincial park. The park itself is quite big. They have two park stores, a few trails and lots of beach space. We only stayed for a day but the campsites looked nice as well. Lots of friendly staff and endless beaches to explore.

Had a beautiful day at Sandbanks today. Made some great memories with family. Playing in the sand and in the water. The water was fantastic! Loads of parking and space on the beach. Highly recommend it if you haven't been.
Jason R — Google review
This was a wow experience, Desert in Ontario and I really mean it, miles of desert around, I went early morning like 9.30 AM, ensure to reserve a day pass from Canada Parks website, the beaches have basic facilities- clean washroom and changing rooms, lot of benches etc, and parking is near to the beaches.
Prasun G — Google review
Today was a wonderful day at the Dunes Beach!! Blue sky, clear water, not too busy for a summer Friday, and a positively awesome experience. We have been to Outleat and Lakeshore Beaches in previous years, and even then, this park does not disappoint! Waves can be fun, but wind gusts were only up to 15km/h instead of 40km/h, which made it suitable for paddleboarding on the water. It's about 500 meters from Dunes Trail parking to the shore. However, paddling on the shore is much easier for finding beach space than treading on the deep, hot sand anyway! The beach is so nice and clean despite all the negative fishy news circulating on social media. Be ready for sand, lots of it! We are planning for more trips this summer!

Located at 104-172 Picton Main St., SUJEO Korean Restaurant offers a delectable array of authentic Korean dishes, including bibimbap, bulgogi, kimchi, gimbap, mandu-guk, and galbi. The restaurant has been providing takeout since 2020 and introduced dine-in service in 2022.
Always a pleasure and a fantastic experience! The ingredients are fresh, the meals are a mosaic of taste, and the service is excellent and kind. I am grateful for this restaurant, as it always means a great night out.

The pickled radish was heaven! Good food, wonderful service. And Picton is such a cool town to get good food in! Their dishwasher was broken, so we had to order takeout. There was a nice hill down the street to sit on and have dinner, definitely a good experience.

Sujeo Korean Restaurant is a gem of a find! Everything on the menu is fabulous and you can literally taste the care that goes into each dish. From the cozy warm atmosphere, deliciously tasting—made in house—dishes with the freshest ingredients, to the kindest and sweetest staff and owners, you leave not just as a foodie, but with a feeling of being a part of the Sujeo family. Whether you dine in or take out, the food is exceptional here. Highly recommend!!!

Simply the nicest people, making the most delicious food. We are willing to drive almost 2 hours to come and eat here...yes it is that good. I almost don't like writing such a great review as it is already hard to get a table. Often best to do take out but even then be sure to order ahead. Yes it is that good, so they are that busy. Kudos to the ladies for serving us another amazing meal. We talk about this place all year back at home. It is our gold standard when it comes to Korean food.
J S — Google review
Sujeo Korean Restaurant is an absolute must-visit for any food lover. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with warm smiles and exceptional service. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and made our dining experience truly enjoyable. But the real star of the show is the food. Every dish we tried was a flavor explosion. The authentic Korean flavors were simply incredible. Whether you're a seasoned Korean food enthusiast or a curious newcomer, you won't be disappointed. We highly recommend giving Sujeo a try!
Matthew N — Google review
We had a delightful lunch at Sujeo, our second visit to this wonderful restaurant. Both times have been fantastic experiences! We initially planned to go on a Friday at around 5:30 PM, but the wait was quite long at 1.5 to 2 hours. So, we decided to return for lunch on a different day. The service at Sujeo is always kind and attentive, and the food arrives pretty quickly. The prices are reasonable, and the food is absolutely delicious. We tried the spicy honey chicken and the stone bowl bi bim bap, both of which were incredible. We’ve also had the beef Kimbap before, and it’s equally impressive. Their homemade gochujang sauce is amazing too!

Bar & grill
The Acoustic Grill is a charming and intimate tavern that offers a cozy pub atmosphere with live acoustic music. The rustic decor, adorned with records, albums, and guitars, sets the perfect backdrop for enjoying their top-notch music selection while indulging in their delicious pub-grub menu featuring must-try items like honey-garlic wings and the best vegetarian gravy poutine in town. Located in downtown, it's an ideal spot to people-watch from their inviting patio.
5 stars for vegetarian gravy - finally I can have poutine! Hubby said he didn’t even taste the difference. Both veggie and beef (hubby) burger were so good. The potato bun is so soft! Excellent local libations. Music 6 nights of the week in Summer. Great place for date night.
Kelly C — Google review
Took a drive a little east and happened upon Acoustic Grill. The food was excellent! Reasonably priced food salad portion could have been a bit bigger but overall flavour was great. The citrus dressing was a hit and the steak was perfectly cooked. Atmosphere was lovely, quaint spot with a musical flair! Will be back in the summer!
Lesley D — Google review
This is a classic pub, with great service and delicious food. We understand that during high season there is frequently live music, but we came mid-May, so there wasn't any. We ordered a Corned Beef Sandwich ($19) which came with loads of beef and locally made ballpark mustard, with pickle on sourdough bread. This was delicious though the bread was disappointingly soggy. It came with shoe string fries, which were amazing. On request we got a side of roasted red pepper aioli to enjoy with our fries. Our second order was the Hot Honey Fried Chicken sandwich ($20). It’s a small sandwich, which makes it expensive for the quantity, but it is good size you’re looking for a lighter meal. The chicken was juicy, the sauce was medium spicy and really tasty, and the batter was very crunchy. This went really well with the compilation salad (goat cheese, lettuce, zucchini, cranberries). It was a great meal and we’ll definitely be back. $92 for our two dishes, 3 Waupoos ciders on tap, tax and tip. * The food menu is small, with just enough variety to give choices and feel confident they can nail each dish. The drinks menu has lots to offer in the way of beer and cider. We definitely recommend dropping in!
Culinary S — Google review
This place made my evening! Perfect restaurant to enjoy awesome food at the end of your beach day. Can't recommend enough!! 🏖🍔 We got Steak sandwich with the side of Sweet potato poutine! They don't skimp on the meat, they piled up two steaks on a bun and served it with the creamiest horseradish mayo. And the poutine was EASILY one of the best I had in a while! The crispy sweet potatoe fries goes so well with savory gravy and cheese 😋 Hot honey chicken sandwich was FIRE🔥 too, it had the perfect amount of heat and got the best crispy texture. We were surprised! Definitely check it out if you're in the area. It will be the highlight of your vacation!!

This is an awesome place. The music was amazing ... Can't remember the name of the band but they were a duo that played a lot of Tragically hip. The fellow had his mouth open wide and the sound was great ... Lots of people singing along. Also, the Acoustic Grill hamburger was probably the best I ever had. Have been here before and will definitely go again!🥰

Charming but busy local spot! Good service and beer & cider selection. Food was OK. We enjoyed the tacos but weren’t big fans of the hot honey fried chicken sandwich. They also have live music which was nice!!

Brewery
Food & Drink
Parsons Brewing Company, founded by Chris and Samantha Parsons, is a family-run brewery, bottle shop, restaurant, and taproom located just a short drive from The Royal. The brewery offers a diverse selection of beers ranging from refreshing summer suds to more wintery options. Their Latin American-influenced food menu features local ingredients and is designed to complement their naturally unfiltered brews.
Parsons Brewing Company is always our first stop when we arrive in Prince Edward County, and for good reason — it’s everything you want in a PEC experience. The setting is charming, welcoming, and quintessentially County, with rustic buildings, wide-open space, and thoughtful touches throughout. The beer is consistently excellent, with a great variety on tap to suit any taste. Whether you're into hop-forward IPAs, crisp lagers, or something more seasonal and creative, they always have something fresh and exciting — which makes it a great place to bring friends with different preferences. The food is delicious. Yes, prices can be on the higher side, but the portion sizes and quality completely justify it. Everything we’ve tried has been well-executed, fresh, and full of flavour — a proper meal, not just an afterthought to the beer. What really sets Parsons apart is how much there is to do year-round. In the winter, the outdoor hockey rink and cozy campfires make it such a fun and unique spot. In the summer, the games and expansive outdoor area create the perfect laid-back vibe. Parsons is more than a brewery — it’s an experience. A must-visit every time!
Sabrina V — Google review
The place is very beautiful to look and completely instagramable. Good place with cozy vibes but food and drink wise I think it is expensive and quantity of food is quiet less. I see the attraction it has. We had passed it on the way and it was so attractive that we changed out route while driving back so that we could stop here. So maybe a one time experience for sure.

Great wait staff and ambiance. This was our second visit in the evening and it feels magical with the soft patio lights. Definitely a family and dog friendly spot. The brew we chose was pricier than most we had in the County

I would have visited here every weekend if it were close to Toronto. The food was perfect - I literally smiled at my first bite of the burger, and the beers were so good that we ended up buying a few bottles at the shop. Very friendly staff and a nice ambiance, with the firepit to keep you warm. We ended up going here because the other restaurant we originally planned to try was full, but this turned out to be the luckiest thing that happened to us during our trip to Prince Edward County.

We had such a great time at Parsons Brewery! 🍻 The beer selection was fantastic — we tried the Mango Lassi beer (yes, you read that right!) and it was surprisingly delicious. We also ordered tacos and empanadas, both super tasty, and the smash burger was absolutely amazing. The County Canteen in Picton is a renowned restaurant known for its commitment to local, sustainable, and delicious food. It is part of the Taste Trail in Prince Edward County, offering a diverse menu featuring American classics and international cuisine. The restaurant's patio provides a beautiful view of the downtown area, making it an ideal spot for both family-friendly dining and intimate date nights.
My family and I stopped by this place and had a lovely experience. Our server Tamara was very kind and accommodating to my mother who couldn't have any gluten. She also shared lots of information to help us plan our trip. The food was also delicious. They also have live music on Fridays and the weekends. I highly recommend this place.

We came here on Victoria Day, and were quickly seated on the patio. The service was good but the food was just okay. Ordered the full nachos, the serving size was very small and it was served a bit cold. We also ordered the brisket sandwich and the mac and cheese. Unfortunately, the brisket was salty for my taste, and the mac and cheese was bland.
Ahya K — Google review
We tried their burgers and Nachos! Burgers were great, fries were fresh, nachos could have been better! Good place to visit for a heavy meal:) service was great - anything we asked for was accommodated with a smile, I loved that part:) will revisit to try more of their menu:)

Right in the heart of Picton. Excellent seating. Inside seems like a good atmosphere but we sat in the little indoor/outdoor area, I don't know what to call it but it was a great space outside but completely covered with heaters set up if it did get a little cool. They also have a few sidewalk patio seats which is nice. Service was fine. Very good drink selection. We had the nachos and they were excellent. We got them with the braised beef and would choose something else next time as it just wasn't for us but worth a try. The Cubano Rolls were a favorite. A completely different flavor for us and were a very nice surprise. We also shared the county Philly and although the bread was delicious, it did fall apart very easily with the mess of a sandwich so was just a messy eat but still delicious. We absolutely loved the herb blend on the fries and dipped them in garlic aioli which was amazing. We will definitely be back.

There are different activities almost every day of the week. So there should good ambiance most of the time. The food is good. They are very generous with their ribs. You won't walk out of there hungry after eating that. The service is friendly and efficient. We sat at the bar and had a very good time. Great place to be at if you pass info by the area. The prices are also very reasonable. Cheers to the staff!

The County Canteen catered our wedding on July 16, 2022 at Cherryvale Weddings. We were primarily in contact with Scott Gregor, the owner of the restaurant. Scott and his team went above and beyond and we were so thankful for all they did to make our day so special. First off, the food was absolutely incredible. At our tasting before the wedding, Scott introduced us to many items on his menu and we were able to choose anything that sounded yummy to us – which was literally everything! Along with this, we told him about a gnocchi dish we both loved from a restaurant where we had one of our first dates. Scott got as much information as he could about this recipe, and recreated it for us so that we could serve it as a side dish for our wedding! It was absolutely perfect. Our guests keep raving about how amazing the food was – especially that gnocchi. Scott has a few different dinner options, and we ended up going with the family style. This meant we were able to have a variety of different options, and our guests did not have to choose what to eat as it was all laid on the table. On the day of our wedding, Scott and his team were so attentive to our guests. During cocktail hour, Scott’s team listened to what each guest really enjoyed, and would continue to deliver more of that item directly to where each group was located. They also set up a hydration station, which had 3 different jugs of fruit-infused waters. During dinner, they continued to make sure our guests were comfortable and were well-fed. One of our friends who is celiac and is very careful about what she eats, had a question about the wine being gluten free. One of the waiters heard this question and took it extremely seriously, contacting the winery right away so that our friend felt safe having some table wine. In addition to this, she felt very comfortable with the food, as she really appreciated being plated separately and did not have to worry about cross-contamination. Another guest of ours had another major allergy, as she cannot consume any cow-protein. She asked a question to one of the waiters, and immediately they knew who she was. Scott personally went over to talk with her and also plated her separately so that she could eat safely and comfortably. Everyone who witnessed these two experiences were thoroughly impressed by the thought, care and cautiousness that was put into this. Overall, the County Canteen made every transition so smooth and everyone was so organized. Every time an announcement was made, the team was ready to go. We had so many people checking in with us and our guests throughout the entire day to ensure we were staying hydrated and were eating well. We highly recommend the County Canteen!

We visited the County Canteen for dinner last night. It's a popular place and was a full house when we arrived at 7pm. You can't make reservations but they put us on a waiting list and called an hour later to say our table was ready. The service was great - Candace was our server and she was attentive, helpful and friendly. The fish tacos were quite possibly the best I've ever tasted. They were plentiful and the fish was delicious! My husband loved his chicken burger and local craft beer. The live entertainment was great too. I can't remember the entertainer's name but he was very talented on the piano and we enjoyed a good sing along!

So glad we went in!!! We go to Picton often and we walk by this place a fair bit and the smell drew is in like that floating bit you see in cartoons!!😂😂 A nice quaint cottage like looking atmosphere. Greeted right away by Chris who was our host and server for our experience and was just awesome 😎 Super nice guy, knew his stuff, definitely added to the whole thing in a great way. The food was superb!! We got the Reuben eggrolls which blew us away!! Who'd have thought this would work!!! Totally did, flavour flavour flavour!!! Crispy and you got the whole shebang of a Reuben in it!! We ordered the Gnocchi with kale and goat cheese and the full rack of ribs with slaw and fries. Everything was done to perfection!!! Tasteful overdrive! Nothing was dry, nothing overdone or tacky. The coleslaw was unlike any other I've had! I love coleslaw and this one topped it!! It was a red wine or sherry vinegar base with it and fresh pepper. Not sure but it's one of the best I've had. The fries sprinkled with thyme allowed them to pop with flavour though on their own they were great!! The ribs weren't over sauced or dry, pull apart goodness and the right amount of smokiness to them. The gnocchi with the goat cheese was melting in your mouth good!! A beautiful concoction of flavours that played off each other that left no disdain of an aftertaste which strong flavours can sometimes do. This place is a great location you have to stop by and try!! We're definitely going back!!!!

I had a lovely experience grabbing a delicious cafe latte when visiting The Bean Counter in downtown Picton. Staff were friendly, espresso was good and it was a busy location. Cheers, Spicy Jan -- Tasty Road Trips

The Bean Counter was my shining beacon of yumminess and caffeination this summer when I was working in town. Their staff were all so friendly, and fantastic at remembering all their regulars. The breakfast and lunch options are varied and delicious, and their baked goods always hit the spot. They definitely make the best iced matcha latte in Picton, as evidenced by how many stamps I got on my little reward cards 😂

Great coffee place with awesome and delicious gluten free muffins and cookies (which is rare!!) Took 10 minutes to get 3 coffees but they were worth the wait!

This is a very busy spot right in Downtown Picton. It's a fairly small space but they do have seating available. Unsurprising that it was packed when we went in and all of the tables were in use with a mix of locals and tourists. They had a nice menu selection of different sandwiches, pastries, hot and cold coffees, teas etc. Pricing is reasonable and the staff are friendly. Would definitely go back!

Really good coffee with fresh Bakery, Nice staff, we also liked the table outside on the sidewalk, you can really relax and feel the vibes of the city, the building of this coffee shop is 200 years old and they still have doors and windows in wood ! Its like you turn back in the time. you can also take a walk with your coffee and observe the ancestral buildings in the area its a big wow !
