After visiting many different beaches, Xpu Ha is our is our go to! Service is amazing and the staff takes great care of us. Menu is great they are doing great to keep the beach clean. Sargassum is very minimal here compared to other beaches. This place is and always be our go to when we need some sand, sun, cold beer and good food! We plan to spend about 2000 pesos for me and my wife for a full day of food and drinks!

Absolutely charming! My wife and I had lunch there and spent an afternoon laying by the beach. Clean bathrooms, easy to change into bathing suits. My wife had fresh fish and I had a really nice vegetarian plate. Very friendly staff and great drinks. Try the coco loco!

Such a nice beach club. Food service doesn't begin until 11am but the menu has lots of options and taste GREAT. 200 pesos entry fee and another 200 pesos for a beach chair. The water is BEAUTIFUL with no rocks.

We have been coming to Xpu Ha Beach Club for a couple of years. It's seemed to remain very consistent. If you drive, coming early (they open at 10am) will yield you the best parking. You will need to pay $50 pesos per person for entry and parking. You'll pay this at a gate. Drive until you cannot drive any further. There will be parking up at the beach club if you're there early. If not, you will have to walk from parking on the side of the road leading up to the beach club. To get chairs and waiter service, just select any beach chair. A man in a white polo will come and tell you it's $200 pesos for adults and $100 for children. You can select chairs in the shade or not. If it's too windy, they won't use the umbrellas. The food--the shrimp ceviche and tuna tostadas are amazing. The price is fantastic and the service is good. Get a michelda and Sol beer and you'll love it, trust me! This is such a beautiful place. The beach is white sand, zero rocks, so great for adults and kids. The sargassum isn't as bad on that side of the beach so no worries there. They do close at 6:30 so again, it's a great place to spend the entire day. We will continue to visit this amazing place! Totally recommend when you're near Tulum or Playa.

We went to this beach club at noon at it was not crowded, we paid 200 pesos per person and these pesos were included into your drinks and food. That was nice. In the evening (at around 4pm there were a lot of people already) the band started singing which was also pleasing. For sunbeds you need to pay extra 400 pesos for 2 people. Food was very nice, impressive! However, the waiter was a bit rude and he wasn’t appreciative for the tips that we left. He was unhappy and showed attitude because he wanted more. Also, one of the servers kept filming the beach (us as well)

What makes this outpost special is that it is located inside Hotel Esencia in a special spot surrounded by mature trees, outdoor lighting and a relaxing vibe that allows for relaxation before and after dinner. Food is what makes it extra special and the menu has something for everyone. Loved the fresh sea bass, pizzas, grilled veggies (some of the best), fresh tuna and delicious salads. Prices are reasonable for the quality and amount of food served. Indoor seating and full bar available.

So much more than beef. Perfection in every way. The pizzas are so tasty. I had a tomato salad with feta and olives that I would eat every day if I could.

Really nice beach. Solo beach costs 50 MXN Pesos and if you're ready to walk a bit along the coast (north), you'll reach some nice palms and a great look at the awesome Caribbean without that much other people. We really enjoyed this beach. But like nearly everywhere there has been a lot of seaweed, but in the sea it was mostly clear and awesome to swim. The waves, fishes and crabs get definitely thumbs up.

One of the best experiences ever seen in a while. A new view to the beach with great food freshly made is a excellent combination. Love that you can reserve without being a guest. Got to try both restaurants inside to get full experience.

Mistura is a restaurant that earns it’s price tag. The setting alone is enough to take your breath away. Add in some incredible drinks, any entree on the menu and top it off with the best cheesecake in QR, you’re in for a perfect experience.

Good, but not great, and didn’t find it a value. Did a quick Google trying to find a nice place to get lunch between visiting cenotes and did not realize it was in the Hotel Esencia (5-star hotel). We drove up and the staff quickly ushered us on a golf cart to down a jungle path; we dismounted and walked through the jungle and residences until getting to the restaurant on the beach. Location was gorgeous. Normal food (nothing mind blowing…just normal food), normal service (multiple times I had to look around to order more water, our nanny was having trouble cutting the plastic off the baby ketchup bottle and the server didn’t help) and 5-star prices ($250 USD for a lunch for 3 with no alcohol) - left with an underwhelming feeling. The staff were great (folks who helped us to the gate and the restaurant) - but left with a feeling of [insert shoulder shrug]. As I edit this, I’m like I paid 60 USD for a pretty basic, plain beef kebab on rice.

Incredible experience as a non resort guest. Absolutely loved it from arrival until departure. By far the most expensive meal we had in Mexico but we felt it was worth it. Our regular rosé was on the menu (5x what we pay for it in London) but the overhead for the view was money well spent. (I can't see how to edit the price per person as wasn't sure what currency this was in, but FYI our lunch was US$433 for two)

The resort was clean, beautiful, and peaceful — exactly what I was looking for. The majority, if not all, of the staff were incredibly attentive, polite, and truly tried their best to make sure guests were happy with their stay. One thing that might be a bit inconvenient for some is that you need to make reservations for each restaurant using a QR code they provide, unlike some other resorts where they handle the reservations for you. The buffet was okay — there’s a good variety, and after a few days, you’ll know exactly what you like for breakfast. I only skipped one restaurant (the international one), but the others were fantastic. I want to give a special thank you to Carmen from Mama Mia and Juan from Tao — they were amazing waiters! They made sure my mom and I truly enjoyed our meals. I never felt rushed, and both were so kind and happy to answer any questions or make great recommendations. Juan also made my birthday extra special, and I’m really grateful for that. Every night there’s great entertainment, so there’s always something fun to do in the evenings. During the day, there are plenty of activities as well — I even did hand painting on a bag, which was a fun and creative experience. And I have to mention the cappuccinos — I honestly lost count of how many I had, but they were probably some of the best I’ve had in a long time! The resort feels like it’s built right in the middle of the jungle — and you’ll definitely notice that with the mosquitoes, so bring bug spray! I love animals, and you’ll see some wandering around, but they’re harmless and seem to have learned to coexist peacefully with people. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and would absolutely recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing, nature-filled getaway with great food, kind staff, and plenty to do day and night.

What an amazing experience and big part of it are team members and staff from the hotel that make every moment so very worth reliving when we are back in real world (home and working). Team working to keep you involved in daily and evening entertainment is absolutely wonderful and so skilled! They are warm and welcoming from first moment you meet them; Paulina, Tita, Diego and Eddie are always around and it seems like they never sleep making sure that everyone has great time! Our stay at Catalonia Royal Tulum was absolutely incredible! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and cared for. The resort is stunning — surrounded by lush rainforest, with cute wildlife, a good size pool and a gorgeous beach with soft white sand . We only had one day with significant amounts of seaweed, but the hardworking grounds team quickly cleaned it up and kept everything looking beautiful the whole time. The staff truly made our trip unforgettable. Everyone went above and beyond to make us feel special. A huge shoutout to the two bartenders at the pool bar who worked nonstop making cocktails — always friendly and keeping the fun vibe. We definitely recommend upgrading to the Privileged package. It gives you access to a private beach area and the BLoved restaurant. At BLoved, Alix (the hostess for breakfast and lunch) was wonderful — she greeted us by name every day with the biggest smile. Flora and the breakfast team, and the lovely Betsabe in the evening, took such great care of us. At Reception, Nersy was so kind and professional, making check-in easy and welcoming even though our room wasn’t ready until the next day. And at the buffet, Quetzabel, the hostess, was always so cheerful and made sure we started every meal with a smile. Catalonia Royal Tulum completely exceeded our expectations — beautiful resort, good food, and the most wonderful staff.

We recently returned to Catalonia Royal Tulum for a family vacation; we celebrated an engagement and birthdays. I cannot thank the staff enough, for they went out of their way to make our stay and events memorable. The entire staff always assisted us with great and professional service and made us feel very special. Although everyone deserves our gratitude and love, I want to take the opportunity to point out some names that come to mind without trying to forget anyone: Roberto, Jesus from the BLoved restaurant, Jonathan Chan, Jorge, Marco, Virginia form the pool Bar. The staff in the buffet are amazing and made us feel like family every time we walked in to enjoy their delicious food. Yadira and everyone that made our dinner at the Rashua restaurant very special. Last but not least, the entire concierge staff Alex, Xavier, Mariano, Alondra, Sharon, Maylen, Erick have made our stay very special. They took their time to arrange the engagement diner for us, so we didn’t have to worry about anything, just make memories! We’re coming back in a few weeks to what I call my second home!

The resort was beyond our expectations. The service in the buffet was fabulous. Waiters Alberto, Omar,and Jeremiah were fabulous for they're prompt attention. Antonio the dj by the pool was fabulous at mixing the music. Jennifer and Maria did exceptional work cleaning our room. When they finished it really looked luxurious. And Christina the pool side bar waitress was always on top of our drink needs. She was very attentive for our drink service Hanna in the pool entertainment worked tirelessly in entertaining the pool people in her water aerobics daily. And her bike ride I took to Puerto Morelas was great. She was always keeping an eye on me since I was always lagging behind. Fatima and Cessia ,and Mercedes in the hydro therapy spa were exceptional in there messages and the whole treatment.

We have been to this resort 3 times now. The service, the fact that it’s adults only and the beach are the best features in our opinion. The service from the entire team in the morning is excellent - from Quetzabel, Angeles, Ana, Juan, and many others. Love the online booking system as well for the restaurants. Excited to come back next year. In terms of improvements, I would suggest they look at the Asian restaurant. That did not meet our expectations.

I can't recommend this place enough. The resort is stunning, the service provided is amazing. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. The room is gorgeous, we stayed in the superior Junior sweet and I highly recommend it. The entertainment team is phenomenal, they are constantly around including you, without being pushy. They make the atmosphere at the pool so welcoming and fun. Paulina, Abraham, Diego, Eddy, Tita thank you so much for the amazing week!

A much lowkey experience of beach club amenities compared to that of playa del Carmen. Overall food was flavorful, and drinks were great. This area is more quiet and relaxing if you are looking to escape the party vibe. On weekends the parking lot can get packed which can turn into a long walk or get there early.

This place is insane! We’ve been here like 10 times over our month holiday in Mexico. Service is SPOTLESS and so kind, the food is amazing, I got addicted to Coconut Shrimps. Cocktails… omg - it would be STUPID to come here only once

The beach club boasts an excellent location with a stunning beach. Thankfully, they refrain from playing loud music, allowing for a truly relaxing experience. While there's a minimum spend requirement for beds, the food is simple yet delicious. They offer refreshing flavored waters, with my personal favorite being the pineapple and passion fruit blend! We visited in February and there was plenty of beds available.

It's bad. It only gets three stars because there aren't many competitors around. A pretentious place that only stays in business due to the lack of options at the beach. The truth is, it's an expensive place with very mediocre food. The service is quite average as well. If you happen to be passing by, make sure to arrive early to get a decent table. The beer is expensive and warm. The ceviche has more onion than fish. And all this at a price well above the market.

We stumbled across this place by walking on the beach during our stay at la Catalonia and we were not disappointed. It’s pretty chill so do not expect fast service. Staff was friendly and the food was delicious. We were able to get our aguachile fix and their shrimp tacos were delicious. I definitely recommend trying this place out if you’re looking for a bite to eat with an amazing view of the water.

The restaurant at the Serenity Beach Club had the best fish tacos that I've ever tried. The freshness, flavor and presentation were amazing. The club itself has great facilities and it's a delight to enjoy such wonderful food while relaxing with the view of the blue water. My only complaint was the loud reggaeton music. Not everyone likes that kind of music. Some of us actually actively dislike it. I suggest they consider bossa nova, jazz, and some classy Mexican / Latin American songs to make the experience much more enjoyable.
