Hunter Valley Wildlife Park is a charming zoo that offers visitors the chance to interact with animals like kangaroos through popular feeding encounters. In addition to wildlife experiences, there are various activities available in the Hunter Valley area, such as grape stomping at a resort, Aqua Golf and Putt putt golf at Hunter Valley Gardens Village, high tea at Voco Kirkton Park, and adventurous options like horse riding experiences and hot air balloon rides.
Hunter Valley Wildlife Park may be small, but it’s packed with charm and heart. What stood out most was how happy and playful all the animals and birds were. The highlight was watching a lion play football like a big, curious housecat. It was incredible to see such majestic animals so active and engaged. The intimate setting made the experience feel personal, almost like we were getting special access to observe these amazing creatures up close. Unlike larger zoos, there was no rush, and we could take our time connecting with the wildlife. The staff were friendly and clearly passionate about animal welfare, which made the visit even more enjoyable.

It's definitely desired to stop here. And take a look into the zoo is much more than I expected. Before before I think it's maybe just a small zoom with little animals. But in reality, they are quite a variety of animals, and also, you can see the white kangaroo. Here, you also can feed the kangaroo and other animals. It's quite interesting no matter how old you are.
ALLEN X — Google review
I was pleasantly surprised by this place — I’d never heard of it before, but it turned out to be a beautiful spot! The animals look well cared for and generally very happy. I was amazed to see they even have lions and my favourite, the giraffes! A few animals did look a bit restless, but overall it’s a lovely park to visit with the family and definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area.
Ernie S — Google review
I was genuinely surprised to find such a sizeable wildlife park in Hunter Valley. At first, I thought it would just be a small place with a few animals, but it turned out to have some large predators as well as many unique Australian animals. You can also enjoy close encounters with kangaroos, which was a great experience. If you’re visiting Hunter Valley, I think spending half a day here is definitely worthwhile.
K L — Google review
Amazing zoo, you are able to get up close to most of the animals and see some really unique animals and immersive experience. Most people dont know about this zoo but it's great. Only thing I would change would be the giraffe enclosure your down hill from them so unless they are right in front of you it make it hard to get as good a look as your able to with the other animals they have but you still get good views.
Lisa M — Google review
What a great zoo with an extensive variety of animals, not alot or of shade available during a hot or rainy day; prepare yourself on those days. Very busy on weekends and during school holidays, also attracts some derelict people which can add to your entertainment. Clean BBQ’s available for you to utilise at lunch time if you bring your own lunch.
S. M — Google review
Very family friendly! Kids can interact with kangaroo, goats, Bambi. Even some chicken cage free. Memorable experience, make sure to buy their merchandise when you came to support this lovely zoo 🍻
Verdyan H — Google review
So worth the drive, the parking is fine even when busy, admission prices are great value for money, the venues staff can’t help you enough and have amazing customer service, but the range of beautiful animals and birds exotic animals is so wonderful, it’s such an amazing and beautiful place to visit you can see all of the displays so well, the coffee is nice too. Highly recommended a trip to the Hunter Valley Wildlife Park, it’s and easy walk around, facilities are clean and Cessnock is only down the road if you want to stay overnight, for me was a 2 hour easy drive from Sydney’s Hills area

Located at 2090 Broke Road, Pokolbin, New South Wales, Australia 🇦🇺 I came to these gardens with my group of approximately 35 people, including people with walkers, to see the Hunter Valley Gardens Christmas Lights Spectacular. It was well worth the visit. I absolutely loved it. For the most part, it is accessible for people with mobility issues but there are steps situated around the displays meaning backtracking was required in some instances. Not many though. There’s a couple of toilet 🚻 facilities located at the entrance and about half way through. There’s food vans near the Ferris wheel but they were closed when we went (about 8.30pm) . The amount of work and preparation that had to go into the displays is astounding. So many figurines lighted up. I really enjoyed my visit and took so many photos so remember to bring your camera and make sure to charge your battery in phone because there’s plenty of photo opportunities. Night Entrance (best for this Spectacular to get the full effects fees are - Adults (16+ years) $40.00 Children 4-15 years) - $30.00 Families (2 Adults, 2 Children) - $122.00 There’s always plenty to see during the day also. I would definitely recommend coming here, at least once. A BIG Thumbs up! 👍👍👍

Beautiful well kept gardens of many themes. Well worth the admission price. Extremely picturesque. Great for photo shoots. Great for exploring and enjoying the views and beauty of curated nature.

The gardens were an absolute blast, with so much to explore. Walking through the various themed areas, I felt like I was in a fairytale. The lights display at night was a mesmerizing experience. I definitely took a lot of photos to remember this fantastic trip.

Good venue , about a 5 to 10min walk to where the car was parked because there was heaps of people there. I reckon about 40,000. The concert was really good. The best Act was Vica and Linda Bulla with the guy from hunters and collectors , they also had the church band , and another brother and sister Act , and the last Act was crowded house. Venue was good. We went to the mosh pit at the first band on which was great. We're really close to the stage and it wasn't too crowded but as the afternoon went on it got more and more crowded in the mosh bit and there was a bit more push and shove. Still a great day out and I would recommend it. Certainly if you want to watch some bands and have a good time. Five stars.

Hunter valley garden is a really good place to have a stop when you're traveling in Hunter valley. Especially when you're arrived here at November to January, there would be a Christmas activities which would be many kinds of lights on. Also there are many themes in this garden. I had a fantastic day out with Dave on the Cheers Bus tour. He was extremely friendly and enjoyed engaging in conversations. It was great to see that the bus had been upgraded since my last tour with Cheers a couple of years ago. I didn't particularly like the lunch location at Baume due to its expensive prices, especially with an additional 10% surcharge for Sundays. Personally, I would have preferred a pub lunch instead.
We’ve just returned from a wonderful day touring Hunter Valley Wineries with Cheers Bus! John went above & beyond facilitating this day out for us while we were visiting Newcastle from Brisbane. We joined a great group, visited 4 wineries, enjoyed vodka & gin tasting as well as chocolate & cheese tasting. Can thoroughly recommend Cheers Bus to anyone looking for a great wine tour!

My third tour with Cheers Bus and I have to say John is fantastic and great company! He tailored our third tour to make sure we see more of the Hunter. Definitely coming back for our fourth tour very soon!!

My husband Chris and I booked this company for a weekday tour around Hunter Valley wineries as part of our mini honeymoon after the wedding. Andy was our guide and driver, and he was incredibly genuine and easy to chat with—especially by our third winery, when we were feeling extra talkative! We felt safe and comfortable, and I loved that he took us to smaller, unique wineries rather than the larger commercial ones you’d find at Dan Murphy’s or BWS. He even mentioned that next time, we could send an itinerary, and he’d drive us and a group around. We’ll definitely be booking with Cheers Bus again. Thanks for an amazing experience!

Our friends group of 6 were entertained by John as our guide & driver on Saturday 7/12. We asked John to work out a day of visiting venues that provided tastings for wine & beer. John did an excellent job with visits to Hope Estate, Iron Bark Brewery (Draytons), 4 Pines and Hunter Wine Lab plus lunch at 19 Hunter Valley (the Vintage). For the wine & beer lovers this was an excellent tour of venues. John was great and stayed with us at each venue and gave us space when having lunch. We were very appreciative of his attention to our wants. Thank you John and we highly recommend using Cheers Bus when in the Hunter Valley.

Highly recommend Cheers bus, John and Gary were very organised and knowledgeable. Was the perfect ladies day with a special limo treat for the first part of our day. Cheers bus tours took care of us and made the whole day easy and enjoyable! Cant wait to come back and book again! Lovely friendly blokes with great connections at the wineries. Highly recommended!

A truly enjoyable day for our first time in the Hunter region. John provided friendly service with a smile and well delivered dad jokes at a value that cannot be matched. He was knowledgeable about the region, with the wineries selected for the day very well suited to our group. A special shout out to Hunter Wine Lab, those guys were amazing. John, thank you for being so accommodating with our changes. We cannot recommend Cheers Bus enough and would give 10 stars ⭐️

Experience the thrill of high-speed go-karting at Go Karts Go Hunter Valley, boasting the region's largest 850m track. With options for both adults and kids, including twin seat karts for younger riders, it's a fun activity for the whole family. In addition to go-karting, there are also opportunities to enjoy putt-putt golf and try your hand at archery. While it can get busy, the staff ensures a smooth experience.
Nice place for karts in the Hunter. The track is good and the karts are well maintained. We booked for a large group and got the track all to ourselves which was nice as we had younger kids as well. Plenty of parking on site.

Awesome track lots of turns and straights. Great price and for 13mins. No long waits they keep the runs moving fast so you’re not waiting long at all.
Sharyn G — Google review
So fun!! Staff were very friendly and the track was awesome. Never been go-karting before and staff were very helpful and other members of my group kept raving on about how its the best track they’ve ever been on. Looking forward to returning and will definitely do the 3 sessions again next time! Thank you!

Excellent day out, facilities were outstanding, big shout out to the operator on the 24 September 25, he made the perfect day even better, the karts were top notch and the pricing was exceptional, being from Queensland our local karting could learn a thing or two from this operation. Well done Hunter Valley Go Karts.

Loads of fun Great family afternoon out Don't need a lot of time there At most you'll probably be there 1 hour depending on how long you're racing Staff were great and kept everyone moving along at a quick pace as it was quite busy My only complaint would be they don't have separate races for adults/experienced racers and younger/inexperienced racers. I understand from a time point of view this would take a bit longer to organise but it would benefit both parties to enjoy the experience a lot more
Lee L — Google review
Average experience! booking process useless. Do not answer phone even in their presence, they also take 24 plus hours to return your call. All staff are overwhelmed. Owners need to address this problem. Moderately overpriced. Will not return!
Darrin B — Google review
LOVED IT! The carts were good and the track's long and nice turns. We also did archery and that was fun too. Lucky enough that we were there when there weren't more people in the track! I was the only driver for the track that time...it was super fun! We also did archery and was an interesting feeling. The staff was super chilled out and hosted with great tips and information beforehand. He was a legend! Would recommend to visit this place and have a blast you guys.

Muse Restaurant is a modern Australian dining destination located at the entrance to the Hunter Valley within the iconic Hungerford Hill Winery. The restaurant offers a spacious setting with a large fireplace and focuses on serving dishes that highlight local and seasonal ingredients. Head Chef Troy Rhoades-Brown, along with other regional chefs, showcases the best of Hunter Valley's produce through a contemporary menu that changes frequently to reflect seasonal variations.
My partner and I celebrated our 3-year anniversary here and we were absolutely blown away. From the moment we walked in, the service was beyond exceptional — warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive without being overbearing. They made us feel so special and even surprised us with a complimentary dessert to celebrate the occasion. Every detail was taken care of with such class and care. The atmosphere, the food, the staff — everything was perfect. We’ll definitely be back and recommending this place to everyone we know!

A Must-Visit Culinary Experience in the Hunter Valley – MUSE Restaurant If you're seeking an outstanding and unforgettable dining experience in the Hunter Valley, MUSE Restaurant is an absolute must. From the moment you drive through their gates, you're immersed in a sense of luxury. Approaching the grand entrance, you're warmly greeted by butlers who open the large glass doors, inviting you into a sophisticated foyer. There, your personal waiter welcomes you and guides you through elegant timber-framed glass doors into the ambient dining room. You're then comfortably seated while your coats are taken to the cloakroom — a small touch that adds to the refined experience. From the first moment, it's clear that MUSE is about more than just a meal — it’s a complete sensory journey. The food is presented with immaculate precision, each dish thoughtfully crafted and beautifully plated. Every course is paired with exquisite wines from their vineyard and region, enhancing the flavors and elevating the experience. The dining room, anchored by a stunning double-sided open fireplace, exudes warmth and elegance, making it the perfect setting to enjoy a luxury culinary escape. While MUSE is on the pricier side, the quality, atmosphere, and exceptional service make it worth every cent. It’s not just a dinner — it’s an experience that stays with you long after the last course. If I could change one thing, make the bathroom heated with warm water to wash your hands. Outstanding experience.

Thought it was about time to see what all the fuss was about. Well Muse certainly did not disappoint. From the moment you walk to the doors, you are greeted by a friendly staffer who opens the door and greets you. The restaurant with its large open fire place, and open kitchen has a feeling of honesty and calm. The staff are extremely polite, attentive, and well versed on the degustation menu. The food was lovely, an intricate blend of ingredients, to dazzle the taste buds and sensors. To Chef and owner Troy Brown, fantastic night, to all the staff, thank you for a great experience. Really lovely to have a Birthday cake presented to my partner, very nice. Matt and Suze

We had a mini family reunion at Hunter Valley last December. This meal was one of the highlights. It was one of the best restaurants we've visited in Australia. The staff and the service is outstanding especially since we have a rather large group. Everyone is friendly and helpful, from the host at the door to our waitress and somm. Some of us had the wine pairing and everything is well designed and thought out. The entire five course meal is well paced, delicious and flows perfectly. Highly recommended!
Carl W — Google review
Had a wonderful long lunch with wine tasting at Muse Restaurant in Hunter Valley. The wine pairing was excellent, starting with three whites, followed by two reds, and finishing with a dessert wine. Each pour was introduced with friendly and professional explanations. The food was equally impressive — the pan roasted Redgate Farm duck was perfectly cooked. A relax afternoon in Hunter Valley.
Jo W — Google review
From the moment you enter Muse the attention to detail starts and doesn’t stop. Staff are so friendly but respectful of your dining experience. The food is delicious and innovative with each dish artistically presented. The wine menu is extensive and the staff are even happy to make cocktails on request. The cost reflects the dining experience being a 5 course degustation menu on Fridays which is when we went. You can also have matching wines with each course. This is well worth the experience and the different flavors will certainly wow you.
Kerrie Z — Google review
Service 10/10 - servers and sommeliers alike were very proactive and attentive. Drinks 10/10 - Absolutely delicious. The best espresso martini I've ever had in my life and incredible coffee + wine. Ambience 10/10 - lovely open wooden fireplace Food was unfortunately a big big letdown! Although dishes were well presented, we found that most of them had lackluster flavours. The fish courses were delicate and refined, and I enjoyed the scotch egg, but in general we found the other dishes to be average. For a fine dining degustation at this price we would also assume we would have a main course with some form of red or white meat, and we felt unsatisfied with the mushroom main that we were served. No one on our table finished that particular dish. It felt like a missed opportunity to showcase local livestock produce. I can't say I left feeling full and satisfied. I'm torn about this place because absolutely everything except the food was perfection. If there was a bar option I'd love to return for a drink but with the food at its current standard, I was left disappointed and don't think I will be back.
Sarah L — Google review
The degustation at Muse Restaurant is fantastic. Deserving of their chefs hats. Be sure to add their signature coconut dessert! Amazing. And if dining on the weekend, the scotch eggs need to be added too. Also really delicious. A trip to Hunter Valley is a good reason to indulge in wonderful local produce, and Muse didn’t disappoint.

The restaurant offers a contemporary dining experience with friendly service in a beautiful setting. With a private terrace nestled in the vineyards, it's an ideal place to enjoy quality time with loved ones while savoring delicious food.
We thoroughly enjoyed an amazing 5-30pm , 3 course dinner this evening with my wife. From the moment we arrived the service was friendly and professional and knew we were in for a very special evening. We were seated on the outside veranda overlooking the vines and the atmosphere was beautiful and peaceful. We were then treated to the most outstanding 3 course meal A few delicious cocktails later and we were on our way. Thank you so much to all of the staff this evening for making our experience so special. I would highly recommend this dining experience to anyone. We can’t wait to return again soon.

We had an Easter long weekend family dinner here. First off, the hospitality was amazing, accommodating for us to have a wonderful window table as it was our parent's anniversary dinner. The view as the sun set was beautiful and the staff could not have been more welcoming and friendly. The restaurant also had high ceilings and a sleek, modern interior that was bright and inviting. The food, an absolute delight from start to finish. The toasty warm bread and crackers with relish to start were moreish. We had scallop and the pork as entrees, and beef and duck breast for mains. The food was cooked to perfection and the flavours were delicious. The chocolate and pavlova desserts were just melt in your mouth goodness. Parents had the cheese platters which were fabulous and generously portioned. Already dreaming about going back next time we're at Hunter again.

This has got to be my favourite restaurant for the Hunter region. My husband and i celebrated our birthdays with a weekend away. Hunters Quarter was a must as Cockfighers Ghost is our favourite Chardonnay, with memories going back 25 years 😳 We sat on the deck on a cool Autumnal evening, the views really are beautiful. The food is amazing, every dish delicately put together like a work of art. The flavours in each of our dishes were delicious. The service impeccable but also friendly, knowledgeable on the menus . This was a very special evening made so much more special with the standard of food and service. We dined on the Saturday at at another highly rated restaurant which was great but HQ nailed it. We'll be back for sure. 🙏🏼

We ordered the $150 degustation menu with wagyu upgrade for $20 extra. Food was well presented but tasted poor, main dish was very salty, steak was tough for a medium rare wagyu steak. Most of our group only ate half of each course because of how salty things were. We found the combination of food did not complement each other at all. We all enjoyed the cappacio and dessert. Service was not great either, no one asked us if food was alright, especially when a few of us left courses half eaten. Overall not a great experience, but the atmosphere was good, and food was presently nicely.

We have been here twice now. Speechless. All I can say is wow. Wow. I now have a new favourite restaurant in the hunter! Every single thing about this restaurant is amazing. The food is memorable and leaves you wanting more. The staff are so friendly and attentive. The atmosphere and music taste 👌🏼 perfect.

This restaurant is jaw-dropping in every sense. The food was amazing, absolutely no faults. Anything you order off the menu is guaranteed to be delicious. I had a chicken dish which was beautiful. The cocktails are also fabulous. The service was impeccable, we had the most lovely waiter who was attentive, friendly and accommodating. The setting was honestly the most beautiful backdrop for a restaurant I have ever experienced. Overlooking a huge vineyard and pond, you can see kangaroos, bunnies, ducks and other wildlife. It was perfect. 11/10.

Before lunch, we had a sit down wine tasting in the Pooles Rock cellar door, a very informative & pleasant wine tasting which was enjoyable - ended up buying six of their wines. Then spent a very relaxing long lunch next door at Hunters Quarter, sat outside in the beautiful weather & enjoyed the scenic vista - a peaceful, relaxing spot. Restaurant has ample indoor & outdoor seating, a warm ambience & feels very welcoming. Started with complimentary seaweed crisps, salmon dip, freshly baked bread, olive oil etc. Bounced into a couple of super nice mains via the fish of the day (John Dory) with smoked potato & charred leek - this was light, full of flavour & really nice. Other shared main was Jerusalem artichoke ravioli with smoked peas & swiss chard - a beautifully put together dish. Rounded out with duck fat potatoes - can't go wrong here! Finished off with the cheese plate & chocolate slice/cake. Both dishes were enjoyed & were a quality way to finish off lunch. Service was on point from start to finish, cannot fault the pace, friendliness, menu/food knowledge & their very attentive level of looking after us.

Nestled in the vibrant culinary scene of Cessnock, The Italian Cottage is a charming eatery offering a vintage ambiance that exudes warmth and comfort. Known for its impressive selection of tender and well-prepared steaks, this restaurant focuses on quality meats. While the sides are average, the overall dining experience is delightful. Visitors praise the incredible food and friendly staff, making them feel like part of the family.
First and foremost the staff here were amazing. We had kids with us and they accommodated our every whim. Kids loved their spaghetti bolognaise, my seafood risotto was perfect. Wife enjoyed her salmon in pesto.

The perfect, lowkey venue for a delicious Italian meal while staying in the Hunter. Locally owned and operated as well which was important to us. My partner had the mussels which he described as being the best he’s ever had, and my pizza was the perfect size and taste. We would highly recommend this place and will be coming back. The staff were lovely as well, and accommodating for elderly patrons who needed a bit more of a hand.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting this fine establishment to celebrate the imminent marriage of a very close friend. The atmosphere as we entered was friendly & inviting, the food was delicious, and we all had a merry time. I must make a special shout-out to our server Ella, who was definitely the best part of our evening. Her radiant personality and attentiveness ensured that an otherwise 10/10 evening was elevated to a one of a kind dining experience. Overall, *very good in Italian*

Don’t judge a book by its cover, and definitely don’t judge this place by the outside! What a hidden gem in Cessnock. We came as a group of 8 and even though they were short staffed, Rocky Multani and his team looked after us so well – the service was spot on. The food was amazing – the risotto was a standout, and the Italian Cottage Biscoff and tiramisu were next-level good. Honestly, everything we ordered was faultless. Such a great find that truly transported us to a distant land. We’ll definitely be back!

Excellent little Italian restaurant in Cessnock. Very rustic atmosphere and ambience, with delicious pizzas and pastas. The Arancini entry was decent, but the pastas and mushroom risotto were exceptionally good. The stone baked Pepperoni pizza was excellent as well. The food does take quite a while to come out, and the decor, while rustic, is still a bit dated. Food is really good though, and highly recommend to try it out if your in the area.

We visited The Italian Cottage in the Hunter Valley as a group of 8, including two prams, and couldn’t have been happier with our experience. The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, authentic, and full of flavour. The service was outstanding from start to finish, and our wonderful waitress, Ella, made us feel so welcome and well looked after. We were recommended this place by a local business not far away and we thought we would give it a go. It was our 36th Wedding Anniversary dinner and the place certainly had a great atmosphere and fell about it. It also has rooms there too in an excellent bush surrounded by some beautiful nature and views. To all the staff at this venue thank you for your hospitality and great service. I would definitely recommend going here as to two meal options ale-cart menu or degustation.

Firstly, I just want to say that Brendon was absolutely amazing, as were all of the staff! The service was warm, attentive, and made the whole experience feel special. Our water and wine glasses were never empty, which is something that’s so rare to find these days. The food was incredible, from the olives we were greeted with on arrival, to the beautiful gnocchi, and finally the steak cooked and salted to absolute perfection. Everything was flawless from start to finish, and I honestly couldn’t fault a thing. Highly recommend 🤗

We booked eremo for our anniversary, it was sublime. Closest to real Italian food compared to many other restaurants (I’m Italian 🇮🇹), gorgeous atmosphere, we got a complimentary glass of beautiful sparkling and “happy anniversary” written on our dessert. Portions were big! Super full! We totally recommend it.

We ordered two mains and two sides. We didn't order much because we weren't very hungry. The waitress gave us an attitude, which made me pretty uncomfortable. I didn't say anything because I didn't want to ruin our holiday. When the dishes came, they were very small portions, and they were way too SALTY. The price is high, and getting this kind of service for the price is disappointing. Overall, the service and dishes were so bad. If I could, I would definitely mark 0 stars.

We chose to get the Avido package and we were not disappointed. Each dish was so nice, we really enjoyed the octopus and the gnocchi was a real treat . The beef cheeks were so soft and we just got a side of greens. Our waiter was Brendon and he was friendly and professional. You wont be disappointed with this dining experience.

It is our family’s first trip to Sydney and we were fortunate to choose éRemo for our first dinner in Hunter Valley. They have a fairly diverse bambini menu and all three kids enjoyed their choices - carbonara, fish&chips and Margherita pizza. The adults shared scallops and crispy potatoes for appetisers, gnocchi, grilled market fish and squid ink spaghetti for our mains which were all delicious as well! Service was prompt and attentive. With 2 glasses of Tyrrell’s wine the bill was $314. Would definitely recommend visitors to Hunter Valley to give this place a try!

Amazing lunch at eRemo with friends from Ireland. It was a cold winters day and the restaurant had their gorgeous fireplaces roaring. We had a table by the window with wonderful views and fantastic food. Between us we had a platter for 2, beef burger and pizza, all were amazing, especially the platter. Love the Lief products you use in the bathrooms. We will be back.

Peterson House in Hunter Valley is a must-visit for sparkling wine enthusiasts. The winery offers a premium tasting experience with over 30 varieties of sparkling wines, including the renowned Pink Blush Rose, all crafted using the authentic methode traditionnelle. The picturesque property also houses an award-winning restaurant, Cuvee, where visitors can savor fresh seasonal produce in an elegant setting or opt for a more casual dining experience at the Weekend Oyster Bar.
From the moment we first visited Peterson House, we knew it was the perfect place for our wedding this January. The venue itself is stunning, but what truly set it apart was the incredible team, especially Kal and Lucy, who made the entire planning process feel smooth and stress-free. Their responsiveness was exceptional, every time we had a question or needed to tweak something, they got back to us quickly and made us feel like a priority. The actual wedding day was absolutely perfect. Everything flowed beautifully from ceremony to canapes and reception. What impressed us most was how they handled all our requests without any fuss, they just made things happen behind the scenes so we didn't have to worry about anything. Kal and Lucy helped create a day that was everything we hoped for and more, and we're so grateful for the role they played in it. If you are searching for a venue, seriously consider Peterson House.

We had an absolutely outstanding experience at Petersons House restaurant! From start to finish, everything was flawless. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy a beautiful meal. The service was impeccable, and the food was simply exceptional. The lamb rack was to die for—perfectly cooked, tender, and bursting with flavour. Every dish we tried was beautifully presented and exceeded expectations. The whole dining experience was such a pleasure and the deconstructed lemon meringue was nothing short of sensational – the perfect finish to an amazing meal. Our grandchildren were also so well catered for and entertained with the activity book waiting for them at the table on arrival, which made the experience even more special. Petersons House is a true gem, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. We will definitely be returning!

Our experience at Restaurant Cuvée was delightful! Warm welcoming hosts and wonderful setting under the trees looking across the vines. We were treated to a yummy lunch of zucchini flowers, fresh sourdough, lamb rack and rocket salad. Indulgent and great food! Complimented with great bubbles and followed up with a shared dessert of pavlova and exquisite Davidson plum ice cream! Kim was our waiter and she was so lovely. The perfect combination of friendly conversation and professional service. Kim enhanced our experience and was so nice to both of us and our dog, Betty. Highly recommend a long lunch here !!!

We could not have imagined a more perfect wedding experience! From the very beginning, Lucy and Kal were absolutely incredible to work with—warm, professional, and so attentive to every detail. They went above and beyond to make the planning process seamless, always quick to respond and full of thoughtful suggestions that made the day truly ours. On our actual wedding day, the skies opened up and it poured rain. While many people might panic at the thought, Lucy and the team handled it with such calm and grace that we never once felt stressed. They immediately pivoted, adjusted the setup, and somehow made everything feel even more magical and intimate than we could have dreamed. Our guests are still raving about how beautiful and effortless the whole day felt. The venue itself is stunning—rolling vineyards, elegant spaces, and a romantic atmosphere that shines through no matter the weather. We are so grateful to have chosen this place for our wedding, and especially grateful for the entire Peterson’s team, who turned a rainy day into the most joyful, unforgettable celebration. If you’re looking for a venue that’s gorgeous in every season and a team that truly cares about making your wedding perfect, look no further. This was the best decision we made, and we’ll cherish the memories forever!

Peterson House is an absolute dream to shoot! I love that I can get ceremony shots inside and then change up the lighting with the sandstone chapel outside all in one place. The lighting inside the chapel is pure magic! The team is always fantastic too. Here are a few photos from my last wedding there so you can see what I mean!

What a lovely experience. My Fiancée and I celebrated our 4year Anniversary with a sparkling wine tasting + wine & gelato pairing. Lincoln made our experience extra special and we truly appreciated how knowledgeable, kind and warm he was. Definitely suggest Lincoln at Peterson House and we would absolutely love to be back again 😊🦜🥂🍧💕.
