Found this bay on the last morning of our stay in Sestri and had to stop and eat at a little osteria on the beach. It was so lovely and tranquil we ended up staying a lot longer than we had anticipated, but it was well worth it. Definitely worth a visit

Great hike to the tower and manara. Take good shoes, some parts are steep.
Bring water and heed advice in signs near trail entrance. (See last photo for sign that appears near trail entrance adjacent to cemetery). We accessed the trail from near cemetery to begin our hike - to right of cemetery - free parking here. This route is very rigorous uneven climb and requires good walking shoes or sport sandals. We took a different route down which took us to area near shops in town - see photos. This route was much less rigorous, but still a climb but many areas were not nearly as hard to traverse as trail from cemetery. We were not able to locate the entrance to trail that is just past Ice Cream Angels ( but returned that way)- see photos in case they are helpful.
(Translated by Google) An unmissable excursion for lovers of the sea and mountains. Among woods, Mediterranean scrub, strawberry trees, myrtle, mushroom olive trees, I found two ferée and two ovules that I didn't pick, heather, maritime pines, rocks and panoramic points with wooden tables and benches you have the opportunity to live in an enchanting oasis. Worth mentioning are the remains of the Saracen Tower, the view of Sestri Levante and Riva Trigoso, hidden coves and ecstatic views. It's not difficult, I confess I went with sandals and slippers but returned with sneakers or trekking shoes to speed up the time and go down more easily... I would never go down again, I went alone three times, I met very kind and helpful Italian and foreign people, or in company as you prefer.
(Translated by Google) We took the path from Levanto, initially very steep but passable, once at altitude there are a few ups and downs, beautiful with several views of the sea. Fairly shaded, also suitable for children, there are no fountains. Going there and back takes about 2 hours. Andare e tornare ci vogliono circa 2 ore.
For those who have hiked (long walked uphill), this should be easy - although the start is very rough on the legs (gets better). The views are amazing along the way. Either go for sunrise or sunset (but you can go midday too - but it will be very hot). There are benches along the way for sitting and the route is well sign posted. I did it alone and felt very comfortable, although im used to more difficult hikes. If you’re not in a rush, i would allocate 2-3 hours to enjoy it.

Great beach club with amazing service and food. This is an upscale beach club with full service including hot showers, a small pool, a great sandy beach and restaurant. The place is upscale and the service impeccable. Definitely not if you are on a budget, but worth it if you are looking for a great experience. Food was delicious and service was great. Danielle the owner was super nice.
We love coming here, it’s the most beautiful beach club in the area, with full service. The beach lockers are spacious where you can change and keep your belongings all week if you wanted, saving you from lugging your beach items back and forth from the hotel every day. They have a little pool for children, and while it is very family friendly it still feels elevated adults only type of resort. Incredible wine, drink and food selection. Visit for just a drink or annoy the day (or week) at the beach. Family run business for many generations.
I came here with the intention of having some drinks and doing a bit of work. Before ordering, I quickly went to use the restroom — and to my surprise, the owner was extremely rude and kicked me out immediately, just because I used the toilet beforehand. What makes this even more ridiculous is that we were just about to book sunbeds for 11 people and reserve a table for food and drinks. The way we were treated was completely unacceptable. This is no way to treat potential customers, especially when we were about to bring a large group and spend good money. I strongly advise others to think twice before coming here. Hospitality and respect are clearly not part of this place’s values.
Too expensive and the guy was too arrogant. Paid 160 euros for 4 people for 2 hours.
Laura was An exceptional server. We had an amazing lunch with great drinks. Great beach vibes .
Very nice beach, extremely friendly staff and owner. We had the best time. Restaurant and chef is also very good. Thank you!!!
The owner and management really need to learn how to treat their customers. Since I walked in there was a rude arrogant lady who tried to sell sun beds for 50 euros. We decided it would be better to stay at the restaurant and buy drinks and food there and maybe take a look at the beach later. We sat down and waited for the menu to come which it didn't. So I thought I'd take a look and see where I could find them. The lady asked me what I was doing and I replied looking for a menu, she then tried to literally shoo me away from it like I was a seagull coming in for their lunch. During our drinks my friend and I decided to go down to the beach and check it out, with my wife and 1 year old son walking down to take a look. After our food and drinks we went up to pay and the restaurant had slapped on a charge of 10 euros per person for the beach. When I asked what the charge was they replied it was a private beach for which I said it was a public beach and that you can't charge for the use of a public area. They then changed the story to us "using their facilities" this was implied by me washing my feet on the small taps they have for the purpose of people washing sand off their feet. The conversation escalated quickly from understanding why, to the owners telling us we needed to pay the fee becoming aggressive and raising his voice. We argued for a bit and I reluctantly paid half given our kids were there and I didn't want them to be exposed to such toxicity. After we walked out after settling the bill, the owner had the nerve to say "No thankyou? No thankyou for the beach, the music, the food?". The ego of the owner and their completely scandalous tactics of overcharging customers deserves to be called out and I hope this can serve as a warning for other customers considering visiting their business.
We had good experience, only went for quick drinks and coffee. Atmosphere is beautiful

(Translated by Google) It's a small, ancient church that incorporates into its main structure from the 12th century parts that were already secular. Dedicated to Saint Nicholas and located on a peninsula on the island of Sestro since the Middle Ages, it's a must-see if you're nearby and can skip a few minutes of beach time to admire the ancient spiritual center of the citadel. In the surrounding area, the viewpoint overlooking the Bay of Silence and the Mediterranean wilderness make for a delightful stroll. This is a lovely Church in the centre of the old village of Sestri Levante. According to its history, it was opened 1604. Beautiful setting and an example of understated Renaissance style. Wheelchair friendly and suitable for all ages. There's limited parking spaces opposite the church or street parking. It's not as magnificent looking from the outside but once inside your senses are certainly provoking calmness. Very friendly and welcoming parishioners who mind this Cathedral. It's easily accessible on foot from the train station. This is not too far from the famous Bay of Silence (Baia del Silenzio). Lovely church in a beautiful town.
(Translated by Google) I really enjoyed visiting the Basilica of Sestri Levante. It is located in the historic center of the city. It is an imposing white building, easily spotted. Starting from the main square, walking a short distance you will find the Basilica of Santa Maria di Nazareth, dating back to the 17th century, when the small village decided to expand and take the form it has today . However, the facade as we see it now dates from 1837-1840 and was built in a neoclassical style, refined and linear, as was the art of the time. Only two bell towers remain from the original core, which, however, were only decorated later and therefore offer a very interesting mix of different eras. The history of the building is even older, as verified testimonies report that a chapel dedicated to the Virgin Mary was already there in 1368. I advise you not just to look at the exterior facade, but to cross the threshold and lose yourself in the splendor of the Interior, which also houses a famous wooden Pieta by Aton Maria Maragliano. I recommend this visit. I am attaching some photos. Please put a thumbs up, a smiley etc... under the review or photos. It's always nice to get nice feedback. Good ride. Eric Tison. F57 Féy (Metz. Moselle. France). Beautiful treasure of the Ligurian Cost

As soon as you arrive, you are greeted by a magical atmosphere: the colorful village overlooking the bay and the boats that float gently on the water create a postcard picture. The crystal clear water reflects the pastel colors of the houses, creating unique plays of light that change as the hours pass. For those who love to explore, the alleys of Sestri Levante are full of surprises: artisan shops, welcoming cafes and restaurants offering irresistible typical Ligurian dishes. 🌊✨

Unfortunately, the monumental nature and structure of the building and, probably, the coexistence with other activities pays off, so the organization of conferences suffers and the availability and layout of the rooms is much less than optimal. It is located at the foot of the hill where the Church of San Nicolò and the luxurious Dei Castelli hotel are located. You can get there easily along the entire Bahia del Silencio (bay of silence). At the very end of the bay is the former Annunziata convent. It is an ancient building that stands on a decidedly privileged position right at the foot of the seaside cliff at the end of the Bay of Silence, so it is possible not only to visit the inner courtyard of this ancient place of worship, although apartments have been built there, but also to admire the breathtaking view of Sestri Levante. Image hunters will find what they're looking for... Founded in 1469 by the Dominican Fathers, it was a religious outpost until the arrival of Napoleon, who drove the friars from their seat in 1797 during the French invasion of northern Italy. During the 1800s, the place became a mansion that was falling into disrepair. The former convent was still saved from deterioration, and it was only recently that the municipality of Sestri Levante bought it and gave it a new look. I am attaching some photos. Please put a thumbs up, a smiley etc... under the review or photos to encourage me. It's always nice to get nice feedback... Enjoy your visit. Eric Tison. F57 Féy (Metz. Moselle. France). Great museum rich with culture.
Visited Galleria Rizzi yesterday. It’s a beautiful gallery with a rich array of art and artifacts. Our guide Alessia was extremely knowledgeable and even gave our tour in perfect English (to accommodate this American). I recommend the gallery to anyone visiting Sestri who wants to learn more about Sestri Levante and Genovese art and history. I will definitely be back the next time I’m in town. Thanks, Alessia!
(Translated by Google) In a beautiful building overlooking the Bay of Silence it is possible to admire the collection of works of art put together by the Rizzo family, whose last heir decided to donate them to the State in the 1960s, on the condition that they were preserved together in a place created specifically to welcome them. The first nucleus of the story is due to the Piacenza doctor Vittorio Rizzi, but the collection only became substantial with his son Marcello, a lawyer who loved to be paid in works of art. On the three floors that make up the museum you can admire paintings, ceramics, furniture and various art objects. There is also a journey to Calvario del Magnasco. Very low entry price: 5 euros. We did a visit accompanied by a guide, with whom we spent about 40 minutes. Pay attention to the opening times because the museum is only open in spring and summer. In autumn and winter there are only sporadic openings, generally for holidays. Google's hours are not up to date, so it's best to look right on the site.

Maybe, is it closed every Monday? So I could only see it from the outside. The Rizzi gallery is located in the historic center, precisely via del Capuccini at number 8. It is a charming museum containing a series of very interesting wonders to discover. It is a medium-sized installation allowing you to admire paintings such as "La Cuciniera di Campi (The Cook of the Fields), "The Marriage of Saint Catherine of Ansaldo" and "The Crucifixion of Domenico Parodi" . It will be a precious moment of sharing with the whole family, to then continue your itinerary in the historic center after having had your fill of art and culture. A great beach to visit when the sea is rough as it has big waves to swim in.-not so common in the Mediterranean-and we loved it. The beach is patrolled by a lifeguard, so it is safe. (We went back the next day and the waves weren’t so big, but it was still nice. The only downside is the big industry further along the beach. We will go back next time we are in the area.

(Translated by Google) The seventeenth-century church of San Pietro in Vincoli, originally the church of the Capuchin Fathers and then of the Company of Secular Priests of Sestri, is one of the most interesting places of worship in the historic village. The climate of spiritual recollection that it offers for personal and community prayer, together with the works of art of great interest that are kept there, make it a place to visit and experience. The commitment that the members of the Confraternity of Santa Caterina put into the care and maintenance of the building is to be appreciated.
