One of the prettiest Altstadt in Germany Suuuper pretty and peaceful
Entrance free into the city. It's a Lovely area to have a walk. There are restaurants also available with nice food. Some places were under construction and soon will be opened. It's better going there before 4.pm. the museum closing time is 4
The old town is dominated by the castle and church on the hill. The district is perfect for strolling through half-timbered houses and winding lanes. From the castle grounds there are views over the jumble of roofs and spires of Quedlinburg as well as the surrounding countryside and towards the Harz.
Nice town and architecture. Recommend!

(Original) Schöne Harzstadt Quedlinburg mit Fachwerkhäusern und einer historischen Geschichte. Nette Menschen mit denen mal leicht in Kontakt kommt. Hier ist es Lebenswert !
(Translated by Google) A huge old town. You rarely find something like that. One cafe and restaurant after another, all busy despite the time of year! (Original) Eine riesige Altstadt. Sowas findet man selten.
(Translated by Google) World cultural heritage... and rightly so. This number of old half-timbered houses... surprising and inspiring. You quickly get the feeling that time has been turned back. Since there are fairy lights hanging in the alleys everywhere in the city, it must be really great in the evenings. Full recommendation for a visit.
(Translated by Google) The old town ensures that Quedlinburg is rightfully a World Heritage Site. One half-timbered house follows the next, and at times, you truly feel like you're walking through the Middle Ages. Many alleyways are tucked away with small shops, restaurants, and pubs. Depending on the time of year, it's naturally very busy, but the old town is absolutely worth a visit. The climb to the castle hill is also worthwhile, as it offers a magnificent view of the old town.

From the platform you’ll have a good view of the whole city. In the museum there’re old treasures from over 1 thousand years ago.
Nice museum showing the history of Quidlinburg and the castle. Very informative when you can read and understand German - which we luckily do. Not much information in English. The whole walk to the castle is super nice with the old streets and there is a fantastic view over the city from the castle garden.
pretty cool Castle with a great view of the City below.
Not one of the most famous and therefore not very crowded. If you are in Leipzig or Dresden, it's good for a day trip. I'd especially recommend the guided tour to the upper floors of the tower.
The museum only provide Germany guide, I would give 5 stars if they can provide English guide. This castle had a glorious history. Love it!
Beautiful walk even though the museum was closed and it was raining. Great views. Good to see free entry if you're called Heinrich in memory of the old King. Brilliant.
Fantastic little town. Nice place, feel like 17th centurie.
Such a nice and beautiful view, in the middle of a small, cosy and attractive city.

An essential visit in this part of Germany, magnificent architecture, important history and some great treasures.
It’s good and supper interesting The bad thing is, if you don’t speak German, could be difficult to understand, even though at the entrance they give you a tiny summary Photos are not allowed, so when you go please respect
The town is part of UNESCO world heritage. The church has special architecture and significance. The crypt is actually the old church. nice visit!
6€ to get in , not worth it ,quite boring place
Impressive Romanesque church from the beginning of the 12th century on the site of an older buildings. In the crypt is the grave of the first German King Henry I. from year 936. Clean architecture, amazing Romanesque columns.
Really old church with loads of history. Was the burial place of Henry 1 who's considered to be the first German king. Pay to go in. It's a bit of a steep climb up to it but good views outside. No toilets but there are cafés on the way who will let you use theirs if you buy a drink or pay.
If you can return at another time when the renovations have finished, do that. We felt a bit cheated for paying in order to get into the well-guarded church full of scaffolding 🤨 The treasure was interesting but not abundant. The organ was being tuned so that also wasn't great. Nice personel. Probably worth the trip, when the renovations are done (when the other castle museum is also open).
Cathedral is reconstructed so its not really lot of historic building in situ but city is stunning and one of nicest in whole germany, def ecomend as a day trip. Happy to went there

And this town hall overlooks the market square with its shops, cafés, and restaurants. Roland stands beside the town hall with his sword and shield, as if he wanted to protect it. This town hall has a story to tell, which is emblazoned high on its wall. So if you're in Qwedlinburg, stop by; it's definitely worth it. Ticket office only opens 20 minutes before first departure so be prepared to be rushed. Last speaks no English which is fine as I had it ready translated from their website. We wanted a Brocken return with the 50% off another destination within 7 days. Sold us a ticket and off we went. Following day returned to purchase a ticket to Eisfelder, again had it all translated. She wouldn’t sell us a ticket as said it had to be purchased day previously when buying other one, even though I had shown her then what we wanted. Fortunately a lady behind me translated. The ticket office LFT denied working the day before, you couldn’t forget her with her pink hair! Then said no she wouldn’t sell us it as should have said day before, showed the kind lady what I had asked for day before and she managed to get the woman to sell us correct ticket. If it wasn’t for her it would have cost us €40 more. Have been to Harz mountains years ago and loved it however, there has been a lot of fires last year and trees damaged by beetles so looks very barren as you travel along. Won’t be rushing back.
Loved getting to experience riding on the Brocken Bahn. Riding up to the top was about 2 hours and the ride was nice enough to take a little nap. Do keep in mind that it is very windy at the top of the mountain so definitely bring a jacket with you. At the top there is a nice trail to follow and a beautiful view.
Wonderful trip. So cool to watch the steam billowing up through the branches. We're amazing with the Fall colors, transitioning to Winter as the elevation increased. Try the schnapps when the vendor comes through! Highly recommend the trip.
What a lovely way to spend a day, riding up to the top of the Brocken on a steam train! It’s not cheap at €51 for a round trip but it was worth it for the pure enjoyment of the ride behind the train and the fabulous views from the top of the Brocken. We boarded at Wernigerode at 10:25 and arrived at the Brocken at 12:01. There are places to eat and drink when you get there, toilet facilities and a small gift shop. Try and make sure you travel on a clear day for the spectacular views from the top of the Brocken. Wrap up warm as well and wear good stable footwear, it was very cold with lots of snow. Some of the paths and walkways are treacherous so be careful when you are there. We spent about 4 hours up there before catching the train back down.
this is such a neat Train and so much fun to ride it up the Brocken. Unfortunately the Forest is pretty decimated but non the less a fun family excursion
One of the best entertainment in this area. Better to go during the day with lights. Little bit expensive, but it worth it. It longer than 1,5 one way, so plan all your activities in advance. No food and hot drinks in the train - one way you can buy in Schierke, there is a long stay to add water to the train. On the back way it can be a problem,
The ticket is ridiculously costly for such a short trip. No matter which train station you step in, it costs 41 euro for a return. Crowed and time interval to Brocken is more than one hour.
The steamtrain is awesome. You can buy a retourticket and go to the end station. From there you can walk to one of the previous stations and than flag a train down to take you back. Some of the train stops after in the middle of the forest. The non steamtrains are also nice.

This place is a must see. It is the nicest square I have seen anywhere in the world. Almost every single house is several centuries old. The locals are nice and the whole atmosphere is very calm and romantic.
Quedlinburg is the discovery of 2015! It is a little-known place these days, having been hidden behind the iron curtain for decades. It is now being restored to its full glory. The old quaint streets and houses are so impressive. Go there!
Got there 2 min before closing time: the guy was kind and took all the time that was needed to give lots of ideas. They also sell really cool souvenirs
Good for relax and very nice people there.

Our tour guide, who played the role of the abbey captain, brought Quedlinburg's exciting history to life with a wealth of knowledge, humor, and attention to detail. I was particularly impressed by how skillfully the various architectural periods were categorized and explained – from the Romanesque period to the half-timbered period to the Renaissance. I do have one small criticism: the 20th century could have been covered in more detail, as this period also had a lasting impact on the city. You immediately notice that someone is truly passionate about their work. If you want to not only see Quedlinburg but also understand it, you should definitely book a tour like this. It's absolutely worth making time for it. A highlight of our stay! Great church! Must go up to the tower and see the views. Recommended only for fit people - the steps are very steep and made from wood. Nice people.
Great if you can do the tour up the steeple. This was a truly unique experience, and even a little adventure!
Seen from the outside, it inspires confidence and serenity at the same time. I recommend a tour around the whole city is special. I think it's one of the few places where you really feel like you're back in the past. wonderful day.
This is a great place to visit if you are interested in history! In this cathedral, which has a great, beautiful hall inside, you’ll find a lot of information-walls with pictures and translated texts which tell the story of Quedlinburg and the reason for being that important to the German history. This town tells stories of the art of living, building and cultural behavior, that used to be ages ago here. Come and see it! Recommend it to you friends! Lovely little town! One of the beauties of this country!

(Translated by Google) St. Blasii is a fascinating church with a rich history dating back to the 10th century. Its imposing exterior reflects architectural styles from various eras, from Romanesque elements to Gothic decorations. During my visit, I was immediately captivated by the impressive façade and its ornate details. The interior of the church reveals an impressive atmosphere, characterized by high vaults and an inviting play of light. St. Blasii impresses with its diverse furnishings. However, I came across an unexpected observation that deeply puzzled me: the lack of an altar at the front of the church. It is unusual to find no altar in a church, and St. Blasii is indeed an exception in my experience. The altar is usually the central liturgical element and symbolizes the sacrifice of Christ. In other churches, I have often witnessed the impressive presence of altars that dominate the space with their artistic design and spiritual significance. In St. Blasii, however, this tradition seemed to have been broken in an unconventional way. This unusual feature adds a special character to St. Blasii, arousing curiosity and encouraging reflection on the diversity of ecclesiastical expression. Despite the lack of a traditional altar, the church by no means loses its charm; rather, it gains individuality through this deviation. It might be interesting to explore the historical background or liturgical considerations that led to this unusual architectural decision. Overall, my visit left a lasting impression. The combination of historical significance, architectural splendor, and the unconventional absence of an altar makes this church a unique place that invites reflection and discovery.

During our visit, we received a very pleasant and personalized (spontaneous) tour through the vaults of the remains of the monastery church. We also learned a great deal about the town of Quedlinburg itself. The view of Quedlinburg from the observation deck next to the museum is also worth a visit. We had a wonderful time. Thank you very much! Vielen Dank!

This is the best point of view of the city Just Awesome Take on mind that to go to the top need 1€ (coin)
A charming observation deck that overlooks the old town. Originally part of the towns defensive system it now offers panoramic views. You'll need 1 Euro to get through the turnstile. You may need to pull turnstile back towards you & then forward before it actually turns. Also, you'll need to walk through a hotel parking lot to access the stairs. Be sure to bring you're camera, you will need it.
The view might be good, but the €1 machine that works the gates is very shoddy. Took the Euro, didn’t unlock, and no-one around to sort it out. Wouldn’t waste your time.
For 1€ it's really good. You have panoramic view for the old city and on the other side there is a good view for greener part of the city. Not that many steps to get on top
Best view of Quedlinburg. 119 steps. Only 1 euro.
The tower is on "private property" so in order to access the tower and climb the stairs you will need to deposit a €1 coin to enable the revolving "door" to open.
Be sure to have 1 euro with you. It’s gated and requires to put 1 euro coin into the self pay machine on the right hand side of the gate. I only had the 2 euro coin with me when I was there. So glad the other tourists helped.
Really worth to check if you are visiting this beautiful small town. You get a cool panorama view of the whole town. Is supposed to be closed but you can just push the rolling doors and they let you in, simple.

Secret free museum - another side of the "reach German life"
Amazing miss u so much Quedlinburg 😍
Interesting place to visit. It's amazing how these structures and the town as a whole has been preserved over the years
The small quarter of Quedlinburg composed of timber-framed buildings in narrow lanes stands on a small hill and gives a good view over the town.
(Translated by Google) Münzenberg is a picturesque district of Quedlinburg, situated on a hill. Those with some time to spare can climb the many steps. Getting there by car is rather impractical, however, as there are hardly any parking spaces for visitors in the narrow streets. There isn't much to explore, though. There is a small museum, but unfortunately, it was closed during my visit. There's also a viewing point from which you can see the castle.

Great for people who love old pre-war Märklin trains, which is what most of the collection is
This 'museum' is way overpriced at 7€ per person. It is less like a museum and more like several peoples' collections in one place. The wooden rollercoaster toy and WWII paper dolls were the only items worthwhile. The top floor was a collection of memorabilia. At 3-4€ I might have added a star.
Closed for the whole week... Tried couple of times but was always close :/ we called the number on the window and on official site but nobody answeared ....
Quaint little museum with tons of old toys, very interesting to see all the varieties that they have collected.
Wonderful collection of model railways and toys. Only €4 to get in.
A collection of toys spread over two floors one floor of which is devoted to toy trains
(Translated by Google) A must for lovers of beautiful old trains and toys. I think the time everyone spends here depends on their age; many are probably transported back to their childhood. In today's fast-paced, throwaway society, it's nice to see how these things have been cherished and cared for, and are now lovingly presented to future generations. The entrance fee is completely justified; you can also play "foosball," which you have to pay for in every indoor playground 😉. And if a switch for a layout doesn't work, you can politely inform the shop. I saw my rare Liebmann-Stadtilm train again 🥲; I even shed a tear. A very special exhibition in any case, and I hope it stays preserved for a long time. Thank you very much, and keep up the good work.
(Translated by Google) The museum itself is nicely laid out, and there are a few things to try out. However, we got through it pretty quickly for the price, and some of the special offers unfortunately didn't work. To know all about half timbered houses this is the place to visit. Good wooden models of different types of houses. All the information is in German.
Small but interesting museum in one of the oldest preserved half-timbered houses in Germany (14th century) shows the development of half-timbered architecture in 600 years, the way of building half-timbered houses as well as the most interesting buildings in surroundings and all around Germany (models and photos).
Very friendly. Museum was interesting and seeing how the old houses were built and look inside was worth the small entry fee. Owner answered all our questions.
Interesting (especially the models of the houses) and inexpensive, but it is inly in German, very sad.
Unfortunately, the cashier's service left much to be desired. The entrance fee was 3€ for adults and 2€ for students. Perplexed by the higher cost for students, we inquired, but the mustached man feigned ignorance of English. Upon filing a complaint, he unexpectedly began negotiating, first dropping to 2.5€ and eventually settling at 2€. Interestingly, our teacher had visited this museum a few years ago, finding the same cashier in a less than ideal condition – hungover. Unable to locate the complaint book, we document our experience here. Furthermore, the museum experience was marred by inadequate facilities. The restroom was unkempt, lacking basic hygiene standards. The exhibits suffered from poor maintenance, with several displays showing signs of wear and tear. Moreover, the information panels were often unclear or missing, leaving us confused about the significance of certain artifacts. It's disappointing that such a cultural institution neglects the educational aspect of its exhibits. The lack of proper seating areas and resting spots within the museum made the visit physically taxing, especially for elderly visitors or those with mobility issues. It's essential for a museum to cater to a diverse range of visitors and ensure a comfortable experience for everyone. In addition, the lighting in some sections of the museum was insufficient, making it challenging to appreciate the details of certain exhibits. Museums should prioritize proper illumination to enhance the overall visitor experience. Overall, the combination of poor service, inadequate facilities, and maintenance issues significantly detracted from what could have been an enriching cultural visit.
8 students from Lithuania arrived at museum. The cashier was horrible. Enterance cost - 3€ for grown-ups and 2€ for students. When we asked why 3€ for students, this man with mustache pretended that he doesn't speak English and when we made a claim (surprise suprise), he started to NEGOTIATE - 2.5€ and finally to 2€. A couple of years ago, the teacher was in this museum as well. Guess what state this individual was in? Hangover. Didn't find the complaint book, so it's written here
Missing details, not worth the time.
8 students from Lithuania came, the cashier was hungover, tried to scam us (price for people above 27 yo is 3 eur, we were all under 18 and obviously not 27, when we pointed this out he pretended not to understand english)

Very interesting historic place to visit.
Booring nothing to see here
(Translated by Google) Special experience. We arrived when the crypt was closed. We wanted to leave when the gardener(?) tipped us off that a group was coming and we might be able to go inside. If you have freetime and love to sightseeing the history place. Go inside. I don't know about this place just know this history place. See pictures as below.
you can't miss it if you come down this small Street. It's right in front of the Church.
