Art gallery
The Galery Lyonel Feininger is a small museum that showcases the works of 20th-century artist Lyonel Feininger, known for his avant-garde paintings and book illustrations. The collection spans from 1906 to 1936 and includes pieces by some of Feininger's contemporaries. Born in New York, Feininger later moved to Germany before returning to the United States in 1937 to escape the Nazis.
If you're in Quedlinburg, be sure to make time for this hidden gem. Feininger was a new discovery for us, and we were lucky enough to find a place in town with lovely framed reproductions of his best work. Takes a good hour to walk through the various galleries, photography is allowed, the gift shop has a great selection of Feininger postcards, books and the like. Definitely recommended!
John F — Google review
The museum holds an ok exhibition for a newbie to Lyonel Feininger. The staff was really unfriendly, especially the lady at the ticket counter. Questions were answered with eye-rolling only.
Kerstin K — Google review
I didn't know about Feininger before. It was interesting experience. The picture Stiller Tag an Meer is one of three best.
Andrey A — Google review
Disappointing. Large interesting building holding much promise but Feininger exhibits are all in one room and the changing exhibition was very mediocre. A shame as could be much better.

Schlossmuseum Quedlinburg is a Renaissance castle located on Castle Hill, offering a local history museum showcasing Bronze Age artifacts and state rooms from the 1700s. The hill, standing 25 meters high above Quedlinburg, was initially home to a church and residence built by Henry. While not as famous as other attractions in the area, it provides a beautiful walk with great views of the city.
From the platform you’ll have a good view of the whole city. In the museum there’re old treasures from over 1 thousand years ago.
Loe L — Google review
Nice museum showing the history of Quidlinburg and the castle. Very informative when you can read and understand German - which we luckily do. Not much information in English. The whole walk to the castle is super nice with the old streets and there is a fantastic view over the city from the castle garden.
Jesper H — Google review
pretty cool Castle with a great view of the City below.

Not one of the most famous and therefore not very crowded. If you are in Leipzig or Dresden, it's good for a day trip. I'd especially recommend the guided tour to the upper floors of the tower.

The museum only provide Germany guide, I would give 5 stars if they can provide English guide. This castle had a glorious history. Love it!

Founded in 936 after the death of Henry by his widow Queen Mathilde, it held significant power and influence for centuries. An essential visit in this part of Germany, magnificent architecture, important history and some great treasures.

Impressive Romanesque church from the beginning of the 12th century on the site of an older buildings. In the crypt is the grave of the first German King Henry I. from year 936. Clean architecture, amazing Romanesque columns.
Petr S — Google review
Really old church with loads of history. Was the burial place of Henry 1 who's considered to be the first German king. Pay to go in. It's a bit of a steep climb up to it but good views outside. No toilets but there are cafés on the way who will let you use theirs if you buy a drink or pay.
Brigid H — Google review
If you can return at another time when the renovations have finished, do that. We felt a bit cheated for paying in order to get into the well-guarded church full of scaffolding 🤨 The treasure was interesting but not abundant. The organ was being tuned so that also wasn't great. Nice personel. Probably worth the trip, when the renovations are done (when the other castle museum is also open).

Marktplatz is a charming and picturesque plaza located in Quedlinburg, surrounded by historic architecture and offering a variety of shops, cafes, and events. The square is bustling with activity, especially on Saturday mornings when the market is filled with vegetable stands, flower vendors, and food wagons. The ivy-covered Rathaus anchored at one end of the plaza adds to its historic charm.
Beautiful city with a rich history, well worth an extended weekend to stay here and explore. The city tours, day and night, are excellent. There are plenty of places to stay on short notice and many, many good eateries.
Willi G — Google review
This place is beautiful in all seasons to visit! You can walk around from one historical place to another. Even just walking around made us feel the atmosphere. Unfortunately castle was closed when we arrived and we had limited time but I’d definitely go back and explore it around more.

Such a magnificent medieval market square surrounded by beautiful architecture and half timbered buildings. Also, several shops, restaurants, & cafes. Pretty much a 360 degree photography opportunity. Part of the UNESCO World Heritage town, close to most other places of interest, and definately worth a visit.
D M — Google review
Beautiful town, very calm and breathtaking views of your looking for a calm and peaceful evening this place is worth a visit which also holds a UNESCO heritage with buildings from the 16th and 17th century
Mohamed I — Google review
Romantic , historically intact and continued restorative effort. We recommend the Quedlinberg Hotel with nice buffet breakfast and super friendly staff named, Rafael. It's a perfectly easy, short walk to the town square .Just out the ancient front door is a fountain and view of the church steeples and is beautifully lit up in the evening. On-site parking for a fee.
Pam P — Google review
Really a disappointment. We had heard that Quedlinburg was so much nicer and better than Goslar. But this is not true. It at curtain points seems like a ghost town
Jan A — Google review
Beautiful historic square with cafes, restaurants and shops. On weekends you find local products being sold in the square, so it is a functional market. From here you can take a tour of the city, or just grab a map at the tourist info shop.

(Translated by Google) On the market square, which is surrounded by half-timbered houses, the view falls directly on the vine-covered Quedlinburg town hall facade... There is a statue of Roland on the outside facade. The early Gothic building was first mentioned in a document in 1310 and its core has been preserved to this day... (Translated by Google) Surrounded by vines, the town hall is a very impressive sight. It stands magnificently and proudly in the center of Qwedlinburg. And this town hall overlooks the market square with its shops, cafés, and restaurants. Roland stands beside the town hall with his sword and shield, as if he wanted to protect it. This town hall has a story to tell, which is emblazoned high on its wall. So if you're in Qwedlinburg, stop by; it's definitely worth it. (Translated by Google) Wow, a large part of the facade is embedded in ivy or vine. Now in spring the lush green glows with wonderful weather. Underneath this, almost a little reserved, lies a historical monument. The architecture is not pompous and yet you can't avoid the glare when you look around the market. 5 stars for that. (Original) Wow, von Efeu oder Wein eingebunden ist ein Großteil der Fassade. Jetzt im Frühjahr leuchtet bei prächtigem Wetter das satte grün. Nestled in the heart of Quedlinburg's old town, the Marktkirche St. Benedicti stands as a testament to centuries of history and architectural evolution. Originally built in the 10th century for local merchants, this remarkable church showcases stunning Romanesque stonework, particularly evident in its western towers adorned with narrow semi-circular windows and blind arches. The two towers differ in height due to fire damage over the years, adding character to this historic site.
Great church! Must go up to the tower and see the views. Recommended only for fit people - the steps are very steep and made from wood. Nice people.

This is a great place to visit if you are interested in history! In this cathedral, which has a great, beautiful hall inside, you’ll find a lot of information-walls with pictures and translated texts which tell the story of Quedlinburg and the reason for being that important to the German history. This town tells stories of the art of living, building and cultural behavior, that used to be ages ago here. Come and see it! Recommend it to you friends! Lovely little town! One of the beauties of this country!

Sternkiekerturm, also known as Lindenbeinscher Turm, is a 42-meter-high observation tower located next to the city wall in Quedlinburg. Originally part of the defensive system of the town, it offers panoramic views of the Old Town and is situated near Hotel Zum Markgrafen in the historical Lindenbeinsiche Villa. The current design dates back to the late 19th century and showcases an eclectic style that was popular during that time.
This is the best point of view of the city Just Awesome Take on mind that to go to the top need 1€ (coin)
Daniela R — Google review
A charming observation deck that overlooks the old town. Originally part of the towns defensive system it now offers panoramic views. You'll need 1 Euro to get through the turnstile. You may need to pull turnstile back towards you & then forward before it actually turns. Also, you'll need to walk through a hotel parking lot to access the stairs. Be sure to bring you're camera, you will need it.
D M — Google review
Best view of Quedlinburg. 119 steps. Only 1 euro.
Fred N — Google review
The view might be good, but the €1 machine that works the gates is very shoddy. Took the Euro, didn’t unlock, and no-one around to sort it out. Wouldn’t waste your time.
Mark R — Google review
For 1€ it's really good. You have panoramic view for the old city and on the other side there is a good view for greener part of the city. Not that many steps to get on top
Wiktor S — Google review
Be sure to have 1 euro with you. It’s gated and requires to put 1 euro coin into the self pay machine on the right hand side of the gate. I only had the 2 euro coin with me when I was there. So glad the other tourists helped.
Jingyao C — Google review
The tower is on "private property" so in order to access the tower and climb the stairs you will need to deposit a €1 coin to enable the revolving "door" to open.

The area features a visitor's center with a history exhibition showcasing the town of Quedlinburg from medieval times to the present day. Additionally, there is an Advent Calendar tradition held annually from December 1st to 23rd.
Historical half timber houses with a visitor's center on the ground floor of number 1+2 and a brief history exhibition upstairs of the town of Quedlinburg from early medieval times to present day. Even though it was just some text and photos, it was very appreciated that the text is also provided with English translations. There is a room that shows a scene from a well known fairy tale. Moreover, from 1. December to 23. December of each year, they have an Advent Calendar tradition. The idea is to meet in front of 1+2 Finkenherd at 4:30pm, then someone will lead the group to one of the local homes, who will be the "door" of the advent calendar for that day. A small surprise, like a song or a small performance, will be provided by the host of the day. It is all in German, but it is a really cute local tradition and especially great for children.

(Translated by Google) A beautiful old town in Finkenherd with many small and large sights. Starting with half-timbered houses of all kinds, both small and large. Fitting for the old town and its narrow streets, all still with authentic cobblestones. You can really imagine how people lived in the old days. This little town is worth a visit and a visit. Big thank you to your great and friendly staff. The service is fast, speaks perfect English and is so nice to the family. The place is normally crowded. The beer is fantastic, local made, unfiltered. Maybe the best beer in town, the food is OK. Probably just a good excuse to come and have a nice beer. Now, the service... Be patient, don't come if you are in a rush, they take their time. It is worth it, though.

Decided to pop in on the off chance they had a table for two. We sat in the gallery which was nice. The food was really good - portion was big, tasty, and just what I was hoping for. The wait staff were friendly and helpful even though it was busy with lots of tables to serve. Food was on the table 15mins after we ordered. I can't wait to come back and bring friends! Note - we came on a week day after the Christmas markets had closed for the year. Probably a bit different if it is a weekend or during high tourist season.

Unfortunately, the photo quality was not ideal, as I was too engrossed in the delightful aroma and exquisite taste of the food to remember capturing a picture earlier. The culinary offerings at Schiller's were inventive and scrumptious, accompanied by friendly service and an inviting ambiance. This hidden gem is truly worth visiting, with its warm atmosphere and delectable dishes. Highly recommended for those seeking a friendly and flavorsome dining experience that won't disappoint.
Friendly Staff, Tasty food and cozy atmosphere! It’s a pity that we could not try Tapas. Tiramisu is a must try!!!

Average service (no above-bare-minimum interest, no 'how was the food, would you need something else' while this happened with the people at the other tables, took my empty plate while my partner was still eating), and very average and massively overpriced food. Cannot recommend.
Namnam — Google review
Lovely building with a great outdoor garden to eat in. The staff are charming. Unfortunately, however, the service is very slow and the food is amateurish at best. Nice beer though.
Paul M — Google review
Nothing was incredibly wrong, and the stuff was polite, but that's it. The food is very average and over priced. I had poularde and it was very dry, the couscous that came with it as well. The disappointment is also due to the 4,5 reviews, and the overpriced dishes (25 euros for a plate of pasta carbonara which was average at most, and 28 euros for a dry chicken). Plus the staff did the bare minimum: gave us menus, took the order, and never came to ask us if we were good, needed something else, if we like the food, basic restaurant customer service.
Bianca S — Google review
We had salads and pasta. Salad with chicken was delicious, but small portion. Pasta is not recommended, it was ok - but the flavours was a bit off. Delicious homemade tiramisu and good coffee. Not possible to have diet drinks, not very suitable for diabetics, unfortunately. Many flavours of juices. Recommended for wonderful atmosphere (sit outside!) and if you like fancy food. Ps- the mozarella is yummy!

Loved this place as a Vegetarian! They have a great selection of Vegetarian/Vegan options, not only with Vegetables but they have vegan meat alternatives and Falafel for example! And you can even turn any Vegetarian option into Vegan! Besides the food, the location is also really cool! It's like they have all this "garden" for themselves with one of the touristic must-see right in front of them! And if you know about Neni, you know how delicious their Hummus is, well they have Neni's Hummus in their Menu! How great is that!

We were able to book a table, which proved very wise. The service was very friendly and helpful, as well as being very tolerant with our lack of German. The Flammküchen we had were some of the best we have ever eaten. If we ever go back to Quedlinburg, we will definitely visit this restaurant again.

Can’t rate the food but the one-star is solely for the treatment we received when we enquired whether a place without reservation was available. The attitude of the hostess when we asked about the possibility of a takeaway was abominable. Maybe we were not the right skin colour or maybe it was something else but I would not recommend this place to anyone in my social circle

Situated in a cobblestoned medieval yard, this gem of a restaurant offers a very good variety of tasty vegan flammkuchen (and non-vegan). There are both sweet and savory options here as well as a healthy looking bowl. I had the potato flammkuchen and it was delicious. I could imagine that it would be nice to sit outside in summer. Inside was warm and spacious with that impressive architecture you find in medieval buildings and the ceiling was very pretty. The service was friendly, fast and competent.

I stepped in with my friends to eat something before lunch and have a wine. We took the big cheese plate for 2 and it was actually for 3/4 persons. Really nice!. The house wine I didn’t like it at all thought, better going for a good wine or for another drink. They have a great offer in Flammkuchen (14€ all you can eat). Service was OK.

A nice Greek restaurant in the picturesque city of Quedlinburg. Typical Greek fare with indoor and outdoor seating. The lamb dish was not so great, with fatty cuts of the meat. The chicken souvlaki was good and the portions were decent, but not huge by any means. Service was good and the glass of Ouzo after dinner was a nice touch. Note that there are no vegetarian main dishes, only appetizers. As with all eating establishments in this town, the food is very expensive.

Second time visiting. The guy who I’m assuming is the owner was somewhat rude unlike the first time we visited. The lady behind the counter maybe his wife has always been rude and they seem to get into big arguments in front of customers. I like their Käsekuchen and hot chocolate but I rather go to Vincent where the two ladies there are always so nice and welcoming. As a customer I don’t need to spend my money where I’m being treated poorly as if I’m not paying for the food I’m going to consume. As a business owner, I wouldn’t dare to treat my customers poorly as my business depends on them and want them to keep coming back. Certainly not the case at this place.

While the ambiance may initially feel sterile, it transforms into a cozy haven once the lights are dimmed, revealing charming vaulted ceilings that echo its rich history. The restaurant serves traditional German cuisine with an impressive selection of well-prepared dishes at reasonable prices. Guests rave about the delicious schnitzel and flavorful klopse, highlighting their quality and seasoning.
The staff were nice and friendly. We went here for lunch on Saturday and had a really great time. The Schnitzel was also really good.

Bad experience I rarely complain about restaurants, but this place had a bad night, with minimun/non excistent service, when we were there. The food was ok, but we had to wait more than an hour for it to be served - and only after we asked for it ourselves. No apologies or anything and when we wanted to pay, they sent os 100 mtrs across the square to an ATM. Apperently they do not accepts cards, even though it's a busy place full of tourist... Next time I'll try another place instead.
Torben T — Google review
Very good service, helpful and friendly. I really enjoyed the food, it was quite delicious. Thought the schnitzel was well prepared, breading was not peeling from the meat and had a good crisp, and not saturated in oils. Klopse were great, had a good amount of seasoning to them, not lacking in flavor at all. Highly recommended.

At this simple yet beautiful summer church, we met a volunteer from the Friends' Circle, who took plenty of time to show us the church and the adjacent refectory, sharing some background information about the church's eventful history. This friendly encounter alone enriched our tour, and we highly recommend visiting St. Wiperti Church. Specialty Museums
The Klopstockmuseum is an exquisite collection of buildings composed of horizontal, vertical, and slanting timbers. The remarkable artistic design is showcased through the vibrant coloring of the compartments and the intricate woodwork created by carving and painting techniques. Additionally, the inclusion of historic paving adds to the awe-inspiring overall view of this museum ensemble.
(Translated by Google) A visit to this museum is worth it, just because of Germany's impressive first female doctor, Dorothea Christiane Erxleben. Unfortunately there is only a small room dedicated to it, but you can stay in it for a long time and get lost in its history. With the silent walls, crisp floors, low ceilings and steep stairs, it is quite an experience to walk through an old half-timbered house. But of course you can see the old rooms of Klopstock and also something about the inventor of youth gymnastics, Gutmut. You just need to have some time to immerse yourself in the story. Just amazing. The atmosphere is classy—definitely a place where you’ll want to dress up a little to fit in. Reservation is recommended, we were lucky to get a table without one. The food was fantastic: I had the asparagus with salmon and potatoes, which was totally dope. The pork tenderloin was good too, though it was cooked a bit more than I prefer (closer to medium-well, and I think tenderloin is best medium-rare). Still, the whole experience was great. Huge selection of wines, prices are fair for the quality and setting. I’d love to come back and try even more dishes.

(Translated by Google) The church was first mentioned in 1179 and, according to tradition, it is the oldest city church in Quedlinburg. The oldest parts come from the Romanesque and early Gothic periods. Of the twin towers, the northern one was destroyed by lightning in 1643 and was never rebuilt. The southern tower is 57 m high. All roofs were renovated in 1991/1992. At the same time, the tower knob and weather vane were re-gilded. The church belongs to the Quedlinburg Evangelical Church Community and is currently used for individual events. The support group established on April 23, 2010 has been involved in further revitalization of the church and the concept of use since spring 2010. Visiting is possible from March to October on Saturdays from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on the Open Day of the Monument on the second Sunday of September.

The Christmas market is supposed to be wonderful, we'll be back. (Original) Sehr interessant für jung und alt, viel zu erkunden und zu erstaunen, Fahrt mit der Bimmelbahn durch die Stadt macht sehr viel Spaß, ein Tag reicht gar nicht zum Besichtigung aus. The collegiate church guards treasures, and I played with goblins. Pure Middle Ages – epically lively! (Original) Quedlinburg ist 1000 Fachwerkhäuser, die singen!
