This is truly a hidden gem 🥰. Ebeltoft is probably not on most people's route, but this place is easily a match for other great European museum ships, such as the Wasa in Stockholm or Brunel's SS Great Britain in Bristol. The current exhibition, "Ild", gave one a very strong impression, only compounded by the list of the crewmen on board. Even my 20 year old son enjoyed dressing up in a sailor's uniform. I have his permission to post the photo. Getting there is easy, parking is free - I would recommend planning for a visit when it isn't raining 🤪
Excellent museum! Don’t miss the introduction part with great historical context and information. Very wheelchair accessible
Great experience! Would be interesting for families with kids, young people and seniors. I was there 3 times 😅 two times with family and kids and one with my mom. I enjoyed all three times in a different way Highly recommended Annual card maybe a great saving option ☺️
Beautiful very nicely restored 19th c. Danish warship with great exhibition. There is small museum with a shop at the entrance. The ship's 4 levels are all accessible and you can freely explore on your own. Audio guide is a must as there are almost no explanatory texts on board. Audio guide is freely accesible via QR code in the museum.
Beautiful old ship. The museum building next to the ship is nice but not that much exciting to see. The ship itself is more exciting - really nice to be able to go around the whole ship and explore. A really good visit for 1-2-3h.
This is a fantastic attraction with a lot of history. For old and young this is a good place to spend some hours if you’re in Ebeltoft. During these times it is also safe to walk on the ship 🚢 as everything is one way streets. There are a lot of good stories from the past to be told here.
Well worth admission fee. We only had a few hours to spend here before we had a flight to catch. It’s defiantly a full day visit to see it all.
Well worth spending some hours here - the frigate can be explored at all deck levels and from the bottom of the dry dock - and there is an excellent museum that explains the context of the transition from sail to steam in the C19th and the particular part played by 'Jylland' in the Danish/Prussian war.

Amazing talent is on display. We loved it. Especially enjoyed watching the artist on site create right in front of us. The waterfront is right there and local restaurants are nearby, too.
I think the adults enjoyed it more than the kids, which is to be expected with small kids. The kids found most interesting the blowing of hot glass into a shape which happened outside of the main building. The glass room that gives the illusion that you could fall down was hilarious with my kids. Overall a nice time there.
Really beautiful museum! We would have loved to see more! Also really like the chance to come in for the week after the tickets purchase. The shop was a little bit expensive. But all in all, we want to see more beautiful glass!!!
Very nice museum with a small collection of glass art. The main attraction for families is the workshop where you can watch artists working on various designs. Also, there are daily workproducts that children can produce (with assistance from the artists). Definitely worth a visit.
Definitely worth a visit! :)
I kept an open mind about art but this was just not a fun exhibit. One of the best exhibits you probably wil not see, only if you have to go to the toilet is the toilet on the first floor. Really it has the coolest art and decorations! For kids its kinda fun you can make mozaik on the first floor and in the loft but thats not worth the entrance money. I gave it two stars and thats because of the two stars (workers) in the glass working shop. They explained and showed us how to make glass into beautifull art works. They were friendly and great at explaining. This is the only reason to get in here. The other best exhibit is the shop, its the glass works they made at the museum its beautifull! Really if the museum would be filled with their art I would come back!
Small expert museum worth visiting. Friendly staff and service, central location with free parking. Couple of exhibitions at a time, not forgetting their permanent collection that is amazing. Exhibitions showcase glass in so many different uses, formats, perspectives and techniques- curating and ”explanations” make it easier to digest. Upstairs/attic room video shows the various tehcniques and makes the pieces seen more understandable as well, so, highly recommended!
I very nice experience at this museum even though it looks more like an art gallery. Nice works of glas and a big variety on the glass shop. I had the chance to see the Master of glass work there so it made my journey to Danmark complete. Garden was also a part of the exhibition but it wasn't that "inviting" to sit or enjoy the weathe because of the very well cared grass and the artwork fount in it. Very friendly staff and you noticed that they enjoy what they do. Restaurant didn't have nothing special to stay or sit there even though the service was nice.

Great Service!!! She tolds me all about the place including the prison down under. Ebeltoft is very charming and shows so many different views in day, evening and night. The traffic lights are old and innthe evening the nightwatch is coming to sing.
The title "Smallest Town Hall in the World" does the former town hall of Ebeltoft no harm: the building that now houses the Museum Østjylland is one of the most popular sights of this pleasant town. The town hall, built in 1789, was in any case already too small for administrative tasks in 1840. After the 1906-09 restoration, which gave the building a 16th century half-timbered appearance, it became home to the Ebeltoft Museum (now Museum Østjylland).
Great place. I loved it.
It's a beautiful, well preserved midtown. Very interesting to see how people have used the space creatively.
A lot of good memories from this place. Ebeltoft in general is a very nice place to spend a calm vacation with the family.
Beautiful historic building unfortunately too crowded outside during the summer season.
Beautiful spot and the nightwatchmen tradition adds historical depth.
Interesting place. Free entrance.

(Translated by Google) A great museum for discovering Ebeltoft's craft history. It brings visitors back to the past in a wonderful way, with historic machines and houses. Ebeltoft's old town dates back to the 14th century and has been preserved in the town center. The visit, including the small local shops, is an invitation to stroll and shop. There are several ice cream parlors where you can enjoy delicious ice cream or a delicious coffee. We will definitely be back and highly recommend a visit.
Very interesting old industry
(Translated by Google) Don't forget to see the Farvergården in Ebeltoft, entry is free. The house stands today as it looked in the 1900s. In the intact old dyehouse, you can see how Johan Petersen works with dyeing fabrics and yarn. The stable man's bedroom was a cold pleasure, the only warmth he got was from the animals in the stable. Some square holes had been made in the wall, so the heat could enter him from the barn through them. Ebeltoft is a great place to visit by boat. The town is filled with charming houses, well known for the flower hollyhocks that grows along the cosy streets all over the town. The place has an artistic strike, with plenty of galleries and museums to explore. The harbor offers the facilities needed, and adds on a good sunset in addition to a nice little “beach” outside the breakwater.
Cosy area with the old ship and small places to grab a bite or a drink 🥰 🇩🇰
Perfect for an evening walk

(Translated by Google) Maritime Flair & Plenty of Crayfish Ebeltoft Skudehavn is a beautiful little harbor with plenty of charm – ideal for strolling, admiring ships, or simply enjoying the maritime atmosphere. Cozy spots invite you to sit and linger everywhere – perfect for a relaxing picnic by the water. A real insider tip awaits at the last pier: the perfect spot for crayfish fishing! It's especially fun for families. With a homemade fishing rod – e.g., made from a piece of wood, string, a clothespin, and a nut as a weight – you're off. Recommended bait is mussel meat (mussels are found directly in the water) or a piece of Danish sausage – the crayfish simply can't resist it. A landing net and a bucket with a lid are also part of the basic equipment. The best part... Two lovingly designed racetracks are ready for releasing the crayfish after catching them – and in style! Here, the little critters race each other back into the water – great fun for everyone and a wonderful way to respectfully release the catch into the wild. Skudehavn combines relaxation and adventure – a great place for families, nature lovers, and little crab enthusiasts!

Nice artificial village on the tip of Ebeltoft. Extremely well-designed cabins on the waterfront with great care of detail. Very calm, good for families with small children and passionated about kayaking/boats…beach 20min walk and 5min by car
The “village” is really colourful and is worth a visit by it self. The cabin standard is good with all equipment you need for a family. In comparison with other Landal the pool is just a standard swimming pool.
It's a beautiful place and it has a beautiful little port. It's great to do walks around the park, it's only a ten minute drive to Ebeltoft and the beach is a ten to fifteen minute walk away. Our accommodation was fully equipped so we didn't have to bring much more than food.
Quiet and perfect for families. A lot of bike trails in the area and short distance to te beach. Five minutes in car to Ebeltoft city. A bit longer on bike, but a nice trip.
Excellent apartments, very nice location andgood indoor options for the kids for rainy days. Very good service from the Landal team!
Pretty all-around amazing great nature and pretty good service we did have to remind them about an extra pakage we ordered and the food isn't very good but would definitely recommend great value for the price (oh yeah the wifi can easily be messed with)
Nice facilities. Family friendly. The only thing to point out is there could be a bit more airflow in the changing room.
Wonderful apartments, the silence there is stunning, however the restaurant was plain robbery. Food was almost uneatable, all fried even the kids menus was bad...

The Crafts and Citizens' Association erected a monument to him in 2001, and each year the Lodvig of the Year award is given to a person who has made a special contribution to the local community." (Translated by Google) To begin with, we were not inside the church, but went for a walk around it and saw all the nice burial grounds. And the gardeners who have decorated for Christmas in various places, it looks nice. It must be said that we were also here this summer to see how the area turned out.

(Translated by Google) Have never been inside the church, but seen from the outside it seems large for the small community that has been in the past, nicely above the level.
