This was good way to spend an hour or so. We rented bikes in Levanto and rode to the end of the trail. Very easy biking through tunnels and cycle path. Views are wonderful. It’s not long, about 10km return. Overall a nice trip
Very nice 2-3km paths between Levanto & Bonassola. Perfect for bike, run or walk. They restaured an ancient road for slow. Mobility with bici path and piétons path. Tunnels have lights. View is great. There is a special beach to stop which is is also dog friendly.
Great ride, Fremura very nice place with good bar!
Very nice Path. Take Nike od you want to do all Path.
Lovely cycle path that takes you along the coast to Bonassola and, further up, Framura. Beautiful coastal views.
The way is very good, but not long.

Slide 1 of 8
Very nice and free beach, with the availability of renting sunbeds and umbrellas . We stayed at the free beach, was quite spacious, the sand is very nice and good for kids to play and make sand castles . The sea is a bit rough sometimes in this area, so I recommend bringing some noodles or floated if you are not a confident swimmer.
So beautiful! Small bay with calm water good for swimming, beach is mixture of sand and gravel but very pleasant, few cafes/bars with their own umbrellas and beds to rent but also small free public areas too, free toilets/showers/changing cubicles, promenade going along the top of the beach, lots of parking (€2/hr)
Very small area for the public part and lots of pedaling and pushy people trying to get you to buy knock offs or get massages. Pretty view but not somewhere I wanted to relax with how many times I was approached in 30 minutes. Children didn’t like all the rocks either, it hurt their feet.
Beautiful beach! Bring your water shoes- there are rocks. It's easiest to swim quickly over the boulders then there will be smaller pebbles. Go early for a paid sun bed - 9am when they open for a bed near the front row, don't wait too long after that generally for a bed or they will run out. One place wanted 40 euros another wanted 30. We bought an umbrella for 15 and sat in the public beach area. Much more economical :)
Nice beach, some free place on sand but many reserved paid areas. Long beach with big waves.
It's not the most beautiful beach. The water isn't clear. We saw trash and feces swimming in the water. Apart from that I recommend bringing swimming shoes because of tiny rocks and pebbles. Also, be careful because, unfortunately, we had an experience with a jellyfish and a crab. The beach is getting steep pretty quickly. The view is really nice, and I recommend coming there in the evening, because there are way fewer people. Overall, a nice beach but you can find better.
The beach is not sandy (stoney), which I like. Biggest disappointment is that 90% of it is private, and you have to pay for chaislongs & umbrellas 25-60€ per day. Public area is really small and you need to come early if you want a spot. Didn’t see any showers, changing rooms or toilets available for public beach folks. Also there are a few annoying people going around selling some blankets and they approach you every time they go by. But a Thai massage from a lady is worth its money, she’s a pro. Still, the biggest and nicest beach in this region.
Beautiful beach. We go in the evening once the crowd and temperature goes down

Absolutely could not fault this place. Easily booked via WhatsApp, very clearly communicated the details. When we arrived the man was very very good in directions to the car spot but also to our accommodation. He clearly explained how to use the electronic button for the gates and how to leave on our final day. Highly highly recommend for anyone driving to Monterosso. €20 per day was a good price for security parking we thought (long travelling family from Australia).
This parking lot was a God sent. We planned to park in La Spezia but couldn't find any parking spots. We drove to Monterosso and happened upon this parking lot. The very nice lady gave us a small remote to open the gate since we told her we'd come back after 5 pm. Very close to the boardwalk / beach, maybe a 5 minute walk
Parking in Italy can be tough, but I was so glad to find this spot for my day trip to Cinque Terre. Maura was fantastic—friendly, flexible, and understanding when I was running late. Having the remote to access the parking anytime made everything so much easier. Thanks, Monterosso Parking, for making my holiday stress-free! Highly recommend and would definitely book again if I return.
It is big but very very small car parking places. They surrounded the car parking with woods, however so small place for big cars or vans. Could not open the door as too small places.
Park here! One tariff, 20eur, and you can keep the car till tomorrow 10:30am. Cars are not too squeezed, secure. You get a key to open the gates whenever you want to leave. Very friendly man at the entrance. Support the local business! :)
Great experience parking here. The owners were super accommodating when our plans changed. Pretty refreshing to get such great service at a parking lot. Very worth the 20euros/day for security and service.
Hello, can we book parking somehow for stay 25-28 June? We alrady has hotel booking near parking for that period.
This multilevel parking has is indoor and outdoors. It cost 2.5 euro/ hour. The top level has a great view of the town.

10 minutes wait for the stoplight.. crazyyy.... and there are two.. but like mines tunnel and amazing view
BICYCLES: EXTREMELY DANGEROUS ROUTE. This route is suggested for bycicles, but it is forbidden for bycicles and it is super super dangerous, because it is a very narrow, long, badly lit, alternating one way tunnel. If you are too slow, you are going to die. Please mark this road as closed for bycicles, the whole street from Riva Trigoso to Deiva Marina
Single lane road with many tunnels. Google Maps said this was the faster route. What was unexpected is the tunnel directions schedule. Maximum you'll be waiting is around 10 or 15 minutes.
The road goes through beautiful views, different geology and atmosphere
Nice to have seen
(Translated by Google) It didn't excite me, you can do without it. Consider that its lighting is still the same as when the trains passed through, i.e. strong and positioned low and very annoying at driver's eye level, replace it with side LEDs, then no fire extinguisher, no light signal inside, to know at what level we are in transit, NOT SAFE, risk of falling stones and stagnation of water, but make it exclusively cycle-friendly like between Levanto and Framura...

Even when they are open it is unsafe, if a vehicle were to have problems or even catch fire, it would be enough to tear your hair out. (Original) Ora sono chiuse e non si sa quando riapriranno. Beautiful church, full of rich history and peace
The church is one of many in an area that seems to have more churches than houses. Levento is a great area to explore with some beautiful seaside walks to be had.
Interesting looking landmark with the striped pattern. The building was unlocked when we went, even though no one was inside.

possibly the best beef tartare you can have in levante. i absolutely loved the vibe of this place, although it’s off season the pool was empty etc but the staff was welcoming. i have an autistic child i requested to lower the music they completely closed it for him and asked if there’s anything else they can do to make him comfortable.
The beach is within walking distance of the town center and is very convenient. There's plenty of space between the loungers, and there are restrooms, showers, and changing rooms available for guests. However, it's quite expensive for one umbrella and two loungers.
There were almost no people there. Waitress completely ignored us. I advise the owner to spend more time in his own place to see the behaviour of his staff. What a joke.
The pool is not for use at all, unless you pay €50 euros for a whole package which is designed for five people!
It seems like the guys have given up on trying to improve their rating and now just act according to it. Staff aren’t helpful or accommodating at all, can not honestly recommend Casino.
Beautiful view. Good Wifi. Food is delicious

Museums
14th-century hilltop castle with exhibits of sculptures & other artifacts, plus town & port views.
Slide 1 of 8
It has a 5-star view from the roof-top terrace. The museum is not worth the visit on its own, but I would buy the full-price ticket that includes the museum just to support the castle and the staff who provide a wonderful experience to the visitors.
For some fabulous views over La Spazia, the Castello San Giorgio is definitely worth a visit. We paid for both the Castello and the museum within ( which was only a small amount more) just to support the venue. The museum is not a major element of the visit. To our surprise, as we were there for an hour, there wasn't another single visitor to be seen. I suspect most had crowded into boats and trains to visit the hellishly packed villages of Cinque Terra. The views alone are worth the visit. If you are put off by a potential long climb, just follow the main sign through the town. These will lead you first to an elevator, and then to a small funicular. Leaving your energy to climb within the castle itself. If its is always quiet this is a good place to shake off the mass of day tourists! We enjoyed it and recommend it.
Visited the castle today, 26th September. Very interesting exhibits & information. It was also a superb panoramic view from the highest viewing point. It's well worth a visit. And only €5 entrance.
Perched above La Spezia, this 13th-century fortress is a must-see. Built to defend the city, it now houses archaeological gems and offers sweeping views of the harbor below. Bonus points for the lovely staff who’ll happily guard your shopping bags while you explore. History, hospitality, and hilltop charm, all in one.
It costs 6 euro for entry, and in my opinion, not really expensive for what you get. The drawback is that all descriptions are in Italian. On the bright side, it was not packed so you'll get to enjoy the visit at your own comfort.
The museum host several ancient artefacts from the surrounding area. The information about the artefacts can be seen in the leaflet that they will give you at the entrace. It also has a very nice view in the upper terrace! If youre a student, the reduced ticket cost €4. Id say its worth the climb from la sepzia centrale haha
An ok castle. Most of the rooms there are a musuem so you barely feel like it's a Roman castle that you walk around in. All the exhibits are in Italian, whichakes for a poor experience (most are not visually impressive too, so without Google translate for non Italian speakers it's not a very good experience). You can buy a ticket only for the terrance and skip the musuem, which might be a good idea to save 2 euros from each ticket, though the views from the top are, just like the castle, are just OK :)
October 2024: 4€ for just the terraces, 6€ for the terraces plus museum. Worth the visit for the great views alone. Lots of interesting artifacts inside as well. Not crowded, so a great break from busy sites. Has a clean WC. We used the 2 elevators to get up to the main entrance (one vertical, one slanted like a funicular).

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We were lucky enough to be fitted in without a reservation, and we're so glad they made space for us. The service was super friendly and welcoming from the start. The seafood was absolutely outstanding — the freshest we had in Levanto — and the portions were generous too. We also really enjoyed the house white wine, which was surprisingly good. Overall, great value for money and a memorable meal. Highly recommended!
The food is good. The service is horrible! We asked for balsamic vinegar and olive oil to go with the bread (which came really late) the waitress said we had to order a salad to get it. We asked for salt, it came after we finished our food. Too bad. We left not too happy with the service.
We have found the restaurant by a chance. No idea it was Michelin-listed. We had our best meal in Italy! The gluten-free spaghetti with chestnut were excellent. So was chocolate tart and mascarpone. The prices were OK for the quality. The staff was attentive and friendly.
What a fantastic meal we have had at this eatery which is part of a hotel 😍 Recommended by the site and I can see why. A 25 minute walk away and on the outskirts of town but worth making the trek there. If it were possible better than the meal we had the other day 😂 Great service and excellent local white house wine at £8.50 for 500 ml 😍 We had the mixed seafood selections 4 cold and 3 cold items all delicious. Tagliatelle with black truffle and salted cod for anti pasti The main was a local cappon fish mixed with vegetables and a green sauce. Served with grilled vegetables Very tasty and light 😍
We loved La Loggia so much we ate their twice! Friendly and attentive staff and the food is amazing. Local Ligurian cuisine. Freshest fish. Great gluten free selection too for the person in our party who needed it. Family run restaurant with brothers running the kitchen! This is what Italian food is all about. Bravi!
The meal was incredible!! I had a fish lasagna that was exquisite, and I’m already missing it. The staff was lovely, mainly the waiter (I think his name is Alessandro). Loved the whole experience!
Fantastic restaurant with very friendly staff. We liked it so much, that we ate there twice. It was so nice to find a place that offered more variety than just pizza and pasta.
Food quality was complient with the price. But the service could be much better. The waitress was very busy and didn't pay much attention to our table. The service itself was also very rushed, which comes with forgetting. We had to remind to waitress of several things. At last, we were enjoying the bottle of wine we ordered but were given the receipt as a sign to pay and leave the table. Very unpleasant to say the least. It is quite overrated if you ask me.
