Beautiful park about pinocchio!!!! Realky nice experience!!! Very poetic and thanks God it's not disneyland!!!
Park is very run down and unloved. Gardens over the road are one of the most beautiful we’ve ever seen and worth the ticket price alone.
(Translated by Google) It probably needs a little more attention. The metal statues are beautiful, but the pirate ship is falling apart. The paths could use some swept and tidying every now and then. The maze is practically nonexistent, with dry vegetation. The old rides are beautiful to look at, and the souvenir area before the exit has empty shelves and display cases. My daughter is still happy to have been there.
Unfortunately it was closed even though it should have been open. The city is pretty dead and there's nothing else to do.

The avenues need cleaning, some attractions like the pirate ship need renovation. The old rides are beautiful to look at, but they're not in operation.

Unfortunately, there are no significant innovations, and the ticket price is still steep. The bar and restaurant were closed during our visit, but the restrooms were clean and tidy. The only real attraction that thrilled the kids was the zipline, which was truly fun and well-designed. Also noteworthy is the courtesy and friendliness of the staff, always available. A fascinating experience for those seeking memories of the past, but one that needs updating to be truly competitive and attractive for today's families.

The entire park is in a terrible state: dilapidated attractions from long ago, many broken, crumbling buildings, and a labyrinth so overgrown it's almost impossible to enter. The children's playground? Broken and dangerous – absolutely unsuitable for children. Everywhere is dirty, unkempt, and neglected. There's no sign of beautiful greenery or a well-maintained ambiance. The staff is unfriendly and seems annoyed, as if visitors are just a burden. Particularly brazen: The interactive museum, supposedly a highlight, is only open in winter. During the peak summer season, when families travel there specifically, it remains closed – a complete rip-off. The entrance fees are absolutely outrageous. Far too high for what you get. Tourists are being ripped off here. Our conclusion: Stay away from this place. Pinocchio Park is dirty, broken, overpriced, and a complete disappointment. A warning to all families: Save your time, money, and nerves! Amazing view and experience. The place could be kept better by the managing foundation, but it still amazes everybody regardless. They recently acquired the old villa at the top of the garden which is now accessible (at least the courtyard in front) and is simply stunning!
Been here two times, such a dreamy place 🥰 Update 2023: I was here when it was still possible to visit the gardens alone (5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, so so beautiful!). It’s a shame they only offer combined tickets with Pinocchio Park now. As an adult with no kids, a visit in Pinocchio Park is absolutely useless. And 26€ for the gardens alone… way overpriced.
Wonderful park. Appr.1 hour enough to make some beautiful pictures in the garden. The butterfly house is amazing! Unfortunately you can't visit the castle. It's a bit costly.
It was quite an amazing place, I wish they have done a better job in maintenance. The plants are way over grown. I can get the ticket for only the garden so no problems with the Pinocchio's Park.
From what I remember, there was no entrance fee. Perhaps because we were out of season (beginning of May). We also managed to find a wedding, which took place in this charming place, and the organizer was a nice Polish woman. The garden is beautiful, several hours of walking along paths and stairs. It may not be 100% well-groomed, but so is its charm. It cannot be said to be run down or cluttered. In our opinion, the place is wonderful and it is worth wandering around a bit longer.
Beautiful place, had somewhat of an abandoned feel when we visited helped by it being very quiet.
Very small enclosures for the animals, especially the piranhas inside the butterfly house and the hidden away goat at the top of the garden. €70+ for 4 people for a 20 minute experience.
That is the most expensive entrance fee I have ever seen. 65 euro for family and 20 euro for each person single entry. Come on that is ridiculous. Guess what the place was completely empty and they were 2 German couple when they saw the price they came back and said: that is insane. Please rethink About these prices and let people enjoy the garden instead of asking high fees and have no one there.

Nice spot for a 1-hour unique programme to see and smell the trees blooming, raising baby lemons and mature lemons, walking beneath arches full of lemons hanging down. Also interesting to see the variety of species. We can see the result of more than 40 years work and specific knowledge here. Absolutely worth the entrance fee.
Great place and Lady behind the register told me everything about the place she could be tourist guide Im not that intrested in gardening or lemon trees but she told the story of Oscar Tintori in such a intresting way I was fascinated. ^^ My boyfriend was so happy to lern about many kinds of lemon trees he wanted to buy so many but we culdnt get more than 2 right now. The other lady who was seling trees from greenhouse speaks only italian but she is great with ppl and even with language barier she pretty easily found out what we needed. I love her positve energy <3 So the place is 10/10 lemon trees colection looks beautifuul its great place to visit. I would recomend to but books and fertilizers from the store and the trees ofc. Its a great thing to bring back home from itally our small flat smells amazing thanks to those trees and with the books I know how to take care of then🥰🥰🥰
Amazing experience!!! Organic grown varieties, hundreds of them. Will be happy to reccomend my Hotel San Lorenzo guests and friends around the world. Being a natural, chemical free habitat, bring natural mosquito repellent with you.
All you need to know about 450 types of citrus fruit (two of which you can get in UK supermarkets)
If you are a (citrus) plant lover, this is clearly the place to be! You‘ll find an awesome and impressive collection here - we had a great time and can recommend a visit to anyone. 👍
Impressive amount of different citrusfruits. Also the information about the different types is very interesting. Small area which you can finish in 30 - 45 minutes. Entrance fee of 5 Euro's is relatively expensive. Dissapointing is that you cannot taste the Limoncino they sell. On top of that, the Limoncino is not own produced. The logo is from Tintori, but the fruits used are from "somewhere in Pisa". Also the lady from the store was uninterested.
Very nice staff and experience.
(Translated by Google) Unfortunately, you can't take all the plants home, only the ones they sell 😁 But the display garden is simply amazing, it's great to be able to do something similar at home. If you need advice, you can get it, and the best part is, you can get it in German!

A beautiful place. Well worth a visit.
I love this church!!!where was my wedding as well!
(Translated by Google) The external architectural style is not among my favourites, but what the church houses inside is of great artistic depth. The brilliant idea of bringing back, albeit temporarily, the stupendous canvas of the Madonna del Baldacchino by Raffaello Sanzio to this place, its original location, has enhanced the Cathedral of Pescia even more. The museum itinerary is well thought out and the information on the various works is satisfactory. Worth a visit.
(Translated by Google) It is the second time that I return to Pescia to visit the Cathedral of the Madonna del Baldacchino, by Raphael. This time, in addition to retracing the masterpieces kept like a treasure chest, including the aforementioned Madonna del Baldacchino, I went because on some dates it is possible to access the Capitolare Library and ... Saturday 15/07 was one of these. A Library, built in 1648 by canon Romualdo Cecchi's will, which has come down to us intact... as they wanted it in the 18th century and thus "recomposed" by expert hands respectful of the "papers" preserved there. Among other things, the bull of Pope Alexander VII who recognized it as such are visible; 42 incunables (i.e. books printed with the movable type technique); thousands of books; manuscripts and prints (including some relating to Raphael with the works in the rooms in the Vatican Museums; the Galatea at Villa Farnesina and the Madonna del Baldacchino). One of the most beautiful libraries I have visited in Tuscany... Facade almost entirely in brick in Roman-Gothic style. (Translated by Google) Beautiful and ancient Franciscan church located in the heart of the historic center of Prato, a few steps from the most famous church of Santa Maria delle Carceri and the imposing Emperor's Castle. On 24 July 1228, eight days after the canonization of Francis of Assisi, the Municipality of Prato bought land for the friars minor, near the Prato "castrum" in the place called "l'Oliveto", so that they could build a church there and a convent. The first small church was built as early as 1233, but the construction of the current complex only began in 1281, due to events linked to the expansion of the city walls around the village of Santa Trinita. The church was then named after San Francesco d'Assisi... and is among the oldest churches in Prato. It is immediately striking for the dualism of the materials used; in fact, if for the scenographic facade the consolidated cladding of two-tone, white and green serpentine marble distributed in horizontal bands typical of the Tuscan Romanesque was adopted, the rest of the building (left bare of the cladding) shows a peculiarity of local record: it is the first church in history - in the Prato area - to be built entirely in bricks rather than stone. Also noteworthy is the monumental entrance portal, framed by thin and elegant cylindrical columns, surmounted by a powerful architrave, on which the coat of arms and two characters of the well-known Pugliesi family are sculpted. The lunette above, recently restored, depicting the Immaculate Madonna is the work of the painter Martino Benelli, created in the first half of the nineteenth century. The bell tower is also from almost the same period: designed by the Prato architect Antonio Bernini and built outside the body of the church between 1798 and 1802, to replace the original one which rested on the apse. The facade ends with the large triangular tympanum where a valuable thematic relief (in stucco) stands out: "The Stigmata of San Francesco" by Andrea della Robbia, dating back to around 1490, when he was already working on the internal decorations of the nearby church of Santa Maria delle Carceri .

(Translated by Google) Interesting monographic journey to discover this sculptor from Pescia, Libero Andreotti, little known outside his environment, but certainly representative for the history of twentieth-century Italian art. In the beautiful and historic Palazzo del Podestà, where this permanent exhibition is set up, one realizes that Andreotti was not only the sculptor of monuments to the fallen, which were also interesting, but also a more intimate artist, with a stupendous production of small statues intended for the interiors of homes and bas-reliefs of great impact. (Translated by Google) It is mentioned in a document before 1000, preserved in the archives of the diocese of Lucca to which it belongs. In Romanesque style. Over time, it has undergone several changes; the most important at the end of the 1400s. It contains several fifteenth-century works of art including two wooden statues attributable to the Valdambrino school and a recently restored terracotta Madonna. A 17th century panel painting similar to the school of Sebastiano Vini, and other minor works including a fresco representing the baptism of Jesus which came to light during a restoration in the 1950s. The two baptismal fonts are particular, which is rare for a church of suburbs, which however demonstrate the importance of the church in times gone by, in pietra serena, one of which is finely sculpted. According to a hypothesis put forward by experts, it seems that the immersion baptismal font is actually an ancient pagan altar coming from the old church of Pontito "located a stone's throw from the walls", previously a pagan temple dedicated to the sun. In support of this hypothesis, the radiant sun carved on one side of the baptismal font and the lack of symbols that recall Christianity. Interesting is the mechanism of the pendulum clock which previously marked the hours by striking a hammer with a bell, removed from its seat in the bell tower and placed in the church, cleaned and made functional. On the bell tower there are 2 large bells dated 1611 and 1636. From the church square you can enjoy a wonderful view over the entire valley and the eye is lost in the distance where you can glimpse the outline of the Island of Elba. Even the medieval village of Pontito, which has remained almost intact, is worth a visit for its particular defense-oriented conformation, difficult to describe, and surrounded by walls. It is located on the slopes of a mountain at 750 m. above sea level, and due to its considerable slope the houses, almost all of 3-4 floors, have the characteristic of having two entrances, one on the ground floor and the other in the street above on the top floor. The remains of 2 of the 4 access doors to the castle and the walls are visible. In stile romanico.

The Renaissance style architecture is perhaps one of the most important testimonies of Brunelleschi's influence in Valdinievole. The design of the facades is in fact attributed to Andrea di Lazzaro Cavalcanti da Buggiano, pupil and adoptive son of Filippo Brunelleschi. The oratory experienced its moment of greatest fame in the early seventeenth century when in 1605, in the presence of the Grand Duchess Cristina of Tuscany, the image of the Virgin with the Child - which was in the aedicule of the Santa Maria bridge (now Duomo) - was moved to the Oratory. The sacred image much venerated by the Pescia pieta dates back to the 15th century and is painted on a blackboard. The main altar was designed by the grand ducal architect Domenico Marcacci and the extraordinary polychrome wooden ceiling was designed by the same architect and created by Giovanni Zeti known as 'Giovannone of the crucifixes'. Stop and admire this little jewel! The Chiesa di San Michele in Foro, located in the heart of Lucca, Italy, is a stunning example of Romanesque architecture with its intricately detailed façade and towering statue of the Archangel Michael. The church's marble exterior is a masterpiece, adorned with ornate carvings and columns, each uniquely designed. Inside, the atmosphere is serene, with beautiful artwork and a sense of timeless spirituality. While the interior is more understated compared to the elaborate exterior, it still offers a quiet beauty and historical charm. A visit to San Michele in Foro is a must for art and history enthusiasts exploring Lucca.
The outside of the church is framed by stunning marble columns and reliefs. Inside, everything seems simple, if you don't know one interesting secret- there are intriguing hand-drawn animal figures on some of the columns. These drawings are examples of medieval graffiti, created by pilgrims, clergy, or local visitors during the Middle Ages. Such graffiti often included ships, cities, and animals, reflecting personal experiences, devotional expressions, or observations of daily life. They serve as a testament to the human connection and continuity within sacred spaces across generations.
After seeing it the second time, it is still just as cool as the first. It is leaning for sure and it is a beautiful building. Crazy to see the "adjustment" they made on the middle floors if you look close enough. Still hate the fact that nobody follows the rules about staying off grass and people standing inside the no go zone for their pictures. Everyone is more important than anyone else. And unless you live within walking distance leave your dog at home.
Most beautiful church in Lucca specially for its façade from 14th century with large sculptures and inlays, as the church itself is much older. Church is dedicated to Archangel Michael which 4m high statue is on the top of the main façade between two other angels. "In Foro" means that it was build over Roman Forum. church inside is a basilica type one with less decoration, and there is an organ. Under the altar there is a mummified body of pilgrim San Divino Armeno that died 1050, oldest known mummified saint in Italy. Entrance is free.
This is so gorgeous, spectacular! The external is super nice. Captivating and worth all photo taking. It is free to enter and visit. You would find the interior less spectacular but it has its charm. Definitely a visit. You can also enjoy the building for some food or drinks or dessert just near the place.
Although we didnt have enough time to explore the interiors, the architecture alone is enough for a visit. Also there are many cafe and shops nearby to rest and enjoy some aperol.
Actually the centre of lucca chiesa di san michele. If you want to visit the centre of lucca, drinks or soothing evening. This is the best place to visit. Lucca is different, it has its own vibes
Stunning! There isn't a lot you can say, but it certainly was beautiful
