Love taking my youngest into Porthcawl he’s never not amused… not only do you have the beach and lengthy coastline not to mention the local celebrity Lizzie…there’s also the fun fair (seasonal hours) but not for much longer as it’s closing altogether…there’s the hi-tide restaurant which is fab plus many other food options along with the arcades plus the town centre within walking distance..great place what’s not to love
Lovely Beach, Fresh Donuts, Lots To Do!! Love A Day At The Seaside... Clean, Views, Bars, Coffee Shop, Nice Park, Surfers As Water Can Have Quite Big Waves .. Lovely Day Out Whatever Occasion & Lots Of Parking. Amazing Sunsets
Great amusement park and arcades. Special mention to the traditional Ghost Train 👻🚂 Such a shame this is the last season but so glad I got to visit.
Lovely stretch of beach. A good amount of food vendors and shops. Amusements looked busy. Free parking on the prom however get there early as it is very busy. A lovely day out
Wasn't the best, we especially went on holiday here especially for the rides for only 3 fast rides to be working. I know it's closing down we payed half price for the tickets so just £12 so £60 for the 5 of us to leave there an hour later after going on them 2 -3 times each. I think the council should put money into this and get it back to what it was before.
“Coney Beach was a great experience! Lovely atmosphere, fun rides, and a nice place to relax and enjoy with family and friends.”
Lovely experience. Perfect for young kids. Wrist bands are the best as can go on rides as many times as you would like for cheaper than paying for each ride !.caravan place nearby to rent too. Amazing for a little get away.
Great fair right on the beach front, no disabled or carer tickets available and the bad thing is if you have a child with special needs (age 6)who can only go on the junior rides they won't let you by a junior wrist band if there just over the height limit but they can go on them?realy unfair! you have to purchase a £20 wristband even though they won't go on any of the big rides bit unfair realy, but realy worthit if you plan to go on all rides. Good day out all round.

My Favourite Place To Visit When I Want To Unwind, Take In The Sea Air & Relax With My Dog . Beach Only Dog Friendly From 1st Sept as Not Allowed Through The Summer . Pay & Display Car Park Opposite, Nice Cafe & Public Toilets.
Lovely beach. With lots of little stalls and arcades for Tue kids lots of little restaurants and bars for all ages and a theme park ice cream Parlours and there is plenty of room on the beach with space. And the main car park is £5:00 all day 👍
This beach is so beautiful and is always full. I would recommend taking food and drink as it is very expensive in the cafe.
Similar to other reviews. Great scenery, make sure you check the tide times before attending. Can get busy. Car park not the biggest on busy days however superb prices for the car park. One issue is the lack of public toilets, only a few toilets, and on a busy day there was a 30 minute wait to use the public toilets.
Beautiful place to start a coastal walk. Kite surfers, and sea lovers are loving the waves. Rock pools here,Amazing open space, incredible light at different times of the year. They have huge area of dunes. Great cafe here and rental stuff for the sea. Cheap car park. Been many times. Winter will blow the cobwebs away let me tell you 😄👍
Great day out with my daughter. Ramp down to beach was good as we had a pushchair and a hand pulled trailer. Immediately thought of other beaches but they only had steps. This was cheaper parking. Ramp to beach. Lifeguards. Excellent beach with rock pools and a compact sand ideal for pushchairs to go right out to the sea. Made great sand castles with my daughter. Nice moist and compact sand. Lovely day. Great beach definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended.
Beautiful place to visit. Amazing
Beautiful beach situated a few minutes drive from Porthcawl Town centre. Popular all year with surfers, families and walkers, so the large car park frequently gets very busy. Always worth going early on weekends and during holidays. On this visit we took the boardwalk from Rest Bay to Pink Bay, it's a lovely all weather coastal path that runs between the golf course and sea.

My FAVOURITE Place To Walk In The Mornings. Very Relaxing, Clean, Friendly People Strolling & Always Wish You A Good Morning, Nice Cafes, Bars On The Front.
Love the pavilion great memories and experiences there. Can't wait for it to reopen. Highly recommend it as an option when planning a outing with anyone from family/friends to schools or work places an all around must have Porthcawl experience😊 it's along the Esplanade
I've had some great times in Porthcawl Pavilion. From raves up on Saturday night's in my teens to Christmas Pantomime with our children then our grandchildren. Now it's mainly tribute bands , our last visit for Marti Pellow which was superb. Great cafe bar for a catch up with friends and when the sun shines sit outside and people watch on the Prom. Love Porthcawl.
We were here on a day trip and went into the Cafeteria for something to eat and drink, the service was very good and at a reasonable price. There was no shows on at the time,it is just across the road from the Porthcawl sea front which you can see from the windows of the Cafe.well worth a visit either to watch a show or just having something to eat and drink like we did.
Lovely old building, not too big to see a show. The only thing I would say is its a shame that it's not tiered seating but obviously that can't be helped. There is a small balcony which goes three quarters around the auditorium, but I think it's only about two seats deep. The ceiling is a high dome. There is a nice little cafe and bar there. Inside the auditorium there is a little kiosk that serves drinks, sweets ice creams and teas and coffees and during the interval. Sensible prices in kiosk too ( the bar wasn't especially cheap though) . Can be a little chilly at first, but warms up. Lovely friendly staff. Positioned right opposite the beach. Parking available on streets and car parks near by. If you get a chance go to Beales chip shop. You can eat in or out. Fantastic fish and fruity curry sauce. ( It s near the large car park for the fun fair).
Great little venue, and the staff are always polite and friendly. I would give it 5 stars, but they use plastic glasses and I don't like them. Parking is limited, but there is a car park about a 5 minute walk away.
#porthcawlpanto We had a lovely evening here at the Aladin Panto. They were checking everyone's Covid passes and asking people to take LFT test if they didn't have a pass. The show was a fun and funny experience. The cast was great. The show was up to date and we felt sorry for them with their run being cut short again.
This is a lovely old building. It is only a small venue and I find this so much nicer than a huge venue or arena. There are a couple of bars and drinks can be pre-ordered for the interval. Sound quality is really good and the atmosphere last night was amazing.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff and a plenty to see! There's a lot to learn about the history of Porthcawl such as shipwrecks and Porthcawl and the Dambusters. Items are all donated by local people. Entry is only £2.50. Well worth a visit!
Amazing little set up there…. It does not disappoint
It was nice visiting an area that my ancestors once lived and getting to know the local history. There was plenty to see at the museum and gain a sense of what life was like in 1940s. This museum is worth a visit if ever in the area.
This was such a great find. The volunteers running the museum are all highly informative and just want to share their love of history with anyone who whats to come and enjoy the museum. We happened to come and visit on halloween, the effort and detail that had been thought of to entertain children over half term was amazing.
Excellent little museum full of interesting artefacts . There are police cells full of information and at only 3 pounds per person you can't complain. .
We went to see what the museum had relating to the 49th West Riding Recce Regiment. The staff were very helpful and got us the diary out to read. Can't thank them enough.
Well worth a visit. A lot bigger than it looks from outside. A lot of interesting things to see.
Very informative, organised clean and the staff/volunteers were outstanding! Loved the art gallery upstairs and the Halloween event.

No wonder people give such high reviews to this area! We visited for the first time in a very sunny evening in Early May 2018. Looks fantastic for walking and relaxation. We weren’t disappointed with a coffee and fish and chips near by! We successfully found parking as there are plenty of options even the place is full with visitors. The natural beauty of the esplanade worth the effort to come from Cardiff and definitely we’re coming back for a pint or relaxation with friends.
A nice lifeboat shop on the front promanade of Porthcawl. I found the two people running the shop, on the day I visited, very friendly and helpful. The lifeboat and equipment downstairs was maintained to an excellent standard for any time they had to go out on a call. A fantastic set up, so a big thankyou from me and keep up the good work.
We watched the staff maintaining the equipment and looking through the watchtower over the bay. Fantastic
Great team at the gift shop, very knowledgable. Son also had a tour of the station which was very informative.
Nice little area for a little stroll,i believe you can have a little walk around the station and if you go there when theres high tide and windy, watching the sea splash over the break water can be fun
Busiest station in Wales, located at the entrance to the harbour and break water. Great to just sit and people watch in a sunny, sheltered spot.
We support Porthcawl Lifeboat Station as do most people to support the excellent cause. The Lifeboat is needed as much now as it has ever been. We travel from a Swansea and hand in Lifeboat jars of cash to help with the funding. We purchase something from the shop and always send out Christmas cards purchased from the Lifeboat Shop. The voluntary staff are marvellous. Well done all involved. You are a credit to the service as can be seen when you are in action whether it is administrative or in action on beaches or at sea.
Lovely educational visit with primary age pupils. Very informative and welcoming

A beautiful structure and so peaceful to walk around. The grave yard is well maintained, as is the grounds around the church.
We have just had our 'Renewal of our Vows' at Newton Church, after 40 years with Fr Jon and Elaine they were both just lovely made our day! It was just perfect, such a happy, relaxed service. The church is just stunning, can highly recommend.
Attended a christening in this lovely church, the vicar was excellent and conducted a lovely service, I would def go back for a service conducted by him. His connection with all attending and the service was excellent.
Very welcoming congregation. In their service they used an old liturgy (1984)
Beautiful little church x
A beautiful 12th century church in the heart of the old port of Newton. Wonderful old pubs and green with children's play area bordering the church. I'm proud to have family buried here
Great old church worth a visit and a beer on the green.
ST.Johns is a quaint little church but the surrounding area where the graves are need a little more attention.
