Around Christmas this park is transformed into a beautiful theme park with lots of food, games, activities for children & not only! Negative aspects is the fact that usually is overcrowded and you should be careful with children, not to get lost, and also it is necessary to have much more toilet places and much cleaner!

Arrived at 1300 and cafe is open till 2 but were told couldn’t sit inside only outside in takeaway cups. No food now but open at 5 again. We enjoyed the quality coffee outside the cafe and had a walk around the castle that looks nice but you can’t visit all as it is locked up.

Very small fortress. There's a friendly information booth. Free admission to the clock tower. Nice views from the top. The cafe there was closed for the winter. Easy walk to explore the remains. Nothing spectacular but it's cute. Nice spot for a picnic if weather is good.

Place looks nice but when we went for a stroll down by the river bank, we noticed that the water stinks like sewage. Doesn't this place have a sewage process plant? Trikala is one of my favorite, if not my favorite, city in Greece. It's clean, its people are very nice and friendly but above all they are very, very, very polite. A pretty good zoo for a smaller town like Trikala. It is a very nice place for the children, even as a way to come into contact with farm animals.
