Domed 17th-century Catholic church with neoclassical architecture & a replica WWII bomb on display.

Visiting the Mosta Rotunda is an unforgettable experience. This magnificent church, with its stunning neoclassical architecture and enormous dome, is truly awe-inspiring. Stepping inside, you immediately feel the peaceful and sacred atmosphere. The history here is remarkable—especially the story of the “miracle bomb” that fell through the dome during World War II but didn’t explode. Walking around, admiring the beautiful frescoes and the impressive altar, you can truly feel the spiritual energy of this holy place. A visit to Mosta Rotunda is not just sightseeing—it’s a moment to connect with history, faith, and tranquility. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Gozo!
Beautiful church with some beautiful stories. What makes this special is the way they present the church and its stories. You pay only about €5 for admission AND a lovely audio tour you download onto your smartphone. You have to climb up and down steep, narrow circular staircase to see the dome up close and personal. That final act of the show is the visit to the air raid shelters in front of (and below ground level) the church.
A spectacular building to visit. Most large churches a built in the crucifix style, this one is round. The decoration and domestic is awesome. It was fairly busy when we visited, but it was quiet enough to sit. Worth €3-5
Well worth visiting, quite an incredible structure, beautiful inside. There are WWII air-raid shelters here too, which you can visit. You can walk up to the level of the triple cross, and walk around the outside. In the stonework there are many people who have left their name and date, which is very interesting. I saw one which was from 1864, one hundred and sixty one years ago!! Quite amazing.
Absolutely a must visit while in Malta, great views whilst on top of the church. The bomb that went through the church rooftop during the second world war, lots of baroque paintings around the church and getting to see behind the altar was brilliant.
Beautiful building, full of history and low entry price. Enjoyed how it didn't charge extra for climbing up to the rooftop area. Only sad it had renovation going on inside and was unable to take better pictures.
A unscheduled stop turned into a very nice experience. Beautiful basilica and we discovered an authentic WW II bomb shelter open to the public near the entrance of the church. SO COOL!!
A stunning church with a fascinating history. For a small fee you can climb the 74 internal spiral steps up to the dome itself and get great views down into the sanctuary as well as go outside to take photos of the surrounding city and landscape. The biggest historical story is from 1942 when a bomb dropped by a German bomber hit the dome. There were 300 people inside the church praying so if it had exploded they would mostly have been killed. However, the bomb hit hard enough to go right through the dome and then fell down to the floor of the sanctuary, a second chance to explode but again it didn’t and it also landed between the people so nobody was hurt. A pretty good example of the power of prayer! The defused bomb is still there in the church for you to see and stands as a reminder of the miracle of the unexplored bomb. Btw, when the engineers defused it, they found absolutely nothing wrong with it that would have stopped it exploding! I really recommend visiting this beautiful place.

Great price for horse riding compared to UK. Great hack for children and adults along the dirt roads with beautiful scenery. Lasted about an hour and was €20 per adult and €15 per child
Not worth it at all. Total waste of money and time. They don’t let you trot or even guide the horse by yourself for a single minute – you just feel like a child being pulled around. The ride lasted barely 50 minutes instead of an hour. Completely unprofessional and very disappointing.
Great people but they were mean because some of us couldn’t even ride properly, and they didn’t let the experienced ones even trot while people who has never riden before could trot and gallop, I don’t really understood that
We had a ride with the kids and walked along the country path. I rode a PRA (Spanish horse) that was so clever and so powerful, I enjoyed a lot! The women are so friendly. 🙌
We had a great experience. The staff is really kind.
Best place for horse riding experience for the whole family. Low prices. Parking area, toilets and nice scenery. Its a proper farm so you can take kids to see diferent animals and horse stables. Also great place to organize birthday or any other parties. Highly recommended
It was a nice experience. There was no real introduction but i feel safe all the time. And the stuff is really kind.
I have been riding with my family here for years. They certainly love all their animals.Iam not an adventurous rider, I just love plodding along but Catherine, who owns the stables, allows my daughter to trot in the closed in area. There are one and two hour rides and there are horses for all abilities but Catherine can usually judge what kind of rider you are. Enjoy the Maltese countryside (or at least what's left of it😔)🐴🐴🐴👍😃

This was a very interesting place to visit. First of all, please be aware that it is only open on the last weekend of each month, Not every day. It's quite a small place so the visit won't take up too much time. I think it is essential to get the talking guide to get the most out of this site. What I found the most interesting and also heartbreaking, is learning about the actual history of this site and how it was completely mismanaged and ignored for decades. Essentially most of the site was destroyed or lost since it was not considered important and it was on private land. The government also thought building a road was more important than conserving the site. I recommend visiting this site not only because it is of historical and archeological significance, but also to learn about the practical side of conservation and how it is a huge challenge based on the social requirements of the times.
Only sundays, but the Bus Connection ist great towards the catacombs
Quite interesting place. Interesting audio guide, better to take it. Not everything was easy to see, some parts are inside tombs, but it was unusual place to visit, and i am glad, i was there
A very old place worth visiting.
Historically significant and well equipped. Pity access is only granted so minimally.
Very big and interesting. Has cool underground rooms which you can enter.
Too bad it is only open on the last Sunday of the month...
Interesting place to see and learn about how our ancestors lived

Their very knowledgeable staff are their biggest asset! They have a little bit of everything, especially when it comes to paint. They are a bit thin on canvases, watercolor paper, and specialty brushes. The do have a fairly extensive variety of standard brushes in all sorts of price levels. It is definitely my go-to store on Malta!
Such a wonderful experience ! Sale's assistants were so helpful and well informed on the products they are selling well done ! Will sure be visiting this store again.
I needed some guidance with a project I was working on as it was my first time using air-clay and I wanted to make an ashtray. I messaged them on Facebook and the staff were super helpful 🙏 Sent me links to all the products I needed and gave me so much insight on the whole process! They didn’t send me any products that I didn’t need so I truly appreciate how genuine and honest they are. They were also happy to see my result! Very knowledgeable staff and the ultimate destination for all your artistic needs.
Been shopping here for over 10 years for my art supplies! Never disappointed and staff always helpful and Informative :)
Favourite store in Malta. I can’t stay away ; Artists dream location. A must visit.
High prices. I purchased some oil a couple of months ago at 14euro and this month it was almost 4 Euro more expensive. When I talked to other persons, everyone told me that prices have been inflated compared to other art shops. It's time to change shop!
Summer arts course for kids a rip off. Expensive as a course yet then you have to buy all the paints, color and tools and after a whole summer kids used but a fraction of all. Also shop attendants are rather cheaky and have no idea which kids attend or where kids go
Very good courses. Have been attending for two years. They have all the art tools one can ask for. However, place is slightly pricey.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 I recently visited Is-Suq Tal-Belt in Valletta and absolutely loved the experience! The food market had such a lively atmosphere, with lots of delicious options to choose from. I tried the tacos, which were fresh, flavorful, and had just the right amount of spice. The fillings were generous, and the guacamole on the side was creamy and refreshing. I also had the spring rolls – they were crispy and served with a sweet chili sauce that was perfect for dipping. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and everything was served quickly. Overall, I’d definitely recommend checking this place out if you’re in Valletta – it’s a great spot to try a variety of tasty dishes in a vibrant setting!
We were really pleased with the food. We ordered from both the Asian and Italian menus and everything was delicious. The variety of dishes was excellent.
Love it here for snacks and a food shop for self catering! We got a delicious pizza from one outlet (ricotta, spinach, honey and walnuts) and timpana from another stall. Both delicious and washed down with a couple of pints of ice cold Cisk! 🤩
Toilets are top floor top right and you need to purchase food to get the code for the loo door,, which is guarded by the Knights of Delhi.. You can't just pop in here for a pee folks. We didn't we actually went for the food.... So many top choices in lovely air con environment. Will get very busy but is a great place for all around the world foods.. Top little venue.
Love this place air conditioned plenty of food to choose not too expensive games upstairs for kids or grown adults to play everest is a very nice Indian and bar inside
The food market has a lot of different restaurants with a variety of cuisines to offer, and we opted for the Konak kebab place. It was something worth trying for the flavor and the price. The lamb meat they offer tasted amazing.
The octopus in garlic was great. Momo from Nepalese corner too. Good air conditioned place to eat. Kinda food court.
So many international cuisine varieties. We had the matcha tea latte with the coconut milk, no extra sugar. It was sweet enough
