Outdoor Activities
Golden Bay is a picturesque beach cove with fine sand, rocky cliffs, and shallow waters. It's surrounded by countryside and remains relatively undeveloped, making it easily accessible for all visitors. The area offers resort hotels, restaurants, and various facilities such as cafes, sun lounger rentals, and water sports activities like jet skiing and paragliding. This popular sandy beach in Malta is known for its soft yellow sand and crystal-clear waters.
Big beach with very soft sand. Morning is the best time to come because it’s quiet and the water is clean. In the afternoon it gets very crowded in high season and the water gets dirty, but it’s a great time to climb the hill and watch the sunset.
Рахилка С — Google review
Beautifull place. During our day we rented an umbrella for 5€ and enjoyed big waves. There is free public toilet and life guard.
Monika M — Google review
A great beach with changing cabins, toilets (though better to avoid them by the end of the day), and a place to grab a snack. Sunbeds and umbrellas are €7 each. The only downside is the huge number of people – in the afternoon it turns into a real nightmare.
Mary P — Google review
Nice beach, there’s a lot of people but manageable. You can rent a sun umbrella for 5€ for a day (they collect them at 6pm)
Lara H — Google review
Lovely beach, just a bit dirty. There is a restaurant where we didn't eat but prices looked very reasonable. Great sunsets.
Miroslava W — Google review
Nice beach with clear water. Unfortunately there was some small trash in the water during my visit. Otherwise, fantastic! Nice small restaurant/cafe where you can buy small snacks at a reasonable price. Definitely the best beach I visited on Malta!
Melvin J — Google review
Great beach with soft sand. Has showers and places to eat and drink. Can get busy but always find spaces to sit. Can hire chairs and umbrellas. There’s parking available if you’re driving and an excellent bus service which run frequently throughout the day.
Angela H — Google review
A beautiful beach with access to restrooms, shops, and restaurants. A charming sunset in November.

Churches & Cathedrals
The Parish Church of Mellieha is a stunning 19th-century church featuring impressive belfries and showcasing works by Maltese artists. Situated in the largest village on the island, Mellieha offers a variety of activities and attractions, including historic landmarks like the Parish Church itself and the Red Tower. The village also provides opportunities for outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling, snorkeling, and diving.
It is a beautiful church with a magnificent appearance in the Meliaha region with its location dominating the hill and its architecture. It is one of the dozens of places to see in Malta, it definitely deserves a visit. You can easily reach it by bus from the center.
Hamdi K — Google review
The Mellieha Parish Church is one of the most remarkable and beloved landmarks in Malta, located in the scenic town of Mellieha. Its rich history, grand architecture, and stunning location make it a must-visit for anyone exploring the area. The church is set on a hill, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, including the nearby countryside and the sparkling Mediterranean Sea. This vantage point not only enhances the beauty of the church but also makes it a perfect spot for photos. Whether you’re looking to admire the beautiful scenery or appreciate the church itself, the views are definitely something to behold. The exterior of the Mellieha Parish Church is striking, with its grandiose facade and towering bell tower that can be seen from a distance. The church's design is classic yet elegant, blending traditional Maltese architecture with intricate details that give it a unique character. The surrounding square adds to the charm, making it an inviting place for both locals and visitors. Once inside, you’ll find an atmosphere of peace and serenity. The interior of the church is adorned with beautiful artwork, sculptures, and intricate carvings that reflect the country’s religious heritage. The soft lighting and calm ambiance provide a space for quiet reflection, and the rich history of the church can be felt as you explore the sacred halls. This church is not only a religious site but also a central hub for the local community. It hosts various events, including religious services, weddings, and festivals. Its role in the community adds to the sense of warmth and hospitality that visitors experience when they stop by. For those interested in Malta’s culture, history, and religion, the Mellieha Parish Church offers a unique opportunity to experience all three. It’s a place of beauty, tranquility, and connection to the island’s heritage, making it a memorable stop for anyone visiting the area.

A visually stunning piece of architecture as approached walking up the hill from the bay below. The internals do not disappoint either. As an added bonus the town of Mellieha is also a delightful place to wander around...
Neil M — Google review
It's a beautiful place as a tourist from Hungary. The only thing that we didn't get to get inside of the church and couldn't get any information about when we would be able to get in. The view was amazing you could see the beach from the top and a large part of Melliha. Overall it was beautiful and interesting. Would recommend

I wish I came earlier than 7pm so that I could see our lady of Mellieha don't miss going down the Grotto this was where there was a miraculous lady. Beautiful church in Malta!
Everyday W — Google review
You cannot really go into the church, it looks nice on photos and it has its own features. You can spend 5-10 mins here and that’s it. If you cannot make it. You missed nothing as long as you were in Malta the three cities
Enjoylifewithlucycan — Google review
Nice Church. Was able to take a quick look inside as well. Good view to the sea and other side of the city.
GRAPP G — Google review
Right at the top of the hill, overlooking Mellieha Bay, is this beautiful church. On most days you are welcome to go onside and visit, but on this visit, the main church was closed. There are clearly renovations being done. I did however manage to visit the courtyard and its worship Chambers. Again, this place is steeped with history and much of this can be seen around the church. Stunning beauty and architecture.

Għadira Bay, also known as Mellieha Bay, is the largest sandy beach in Malta and a popular spot for families and solo travelers. The beach offers a long stretch of sand with casual restaurants and options to rent sunbeds and umbrellas. It is divided into three main areas, with the central part being the most crowded. Visitors are advised to arrive early to secure a good spot as it can get busy during peak hours.
This beach is easy to reach from most parts of malta as there are 3 bus stops along the main road. The beach itself is beautiful and one of the best in the Mellieha area You can hire a pair of sunbeds and parasol for €15. There is a lifeguard on the beach and the water is very clear, clean and shallow. I would recommend this as a great beach for family's and a relaxing day in Malta. ❤️🏖️🇲🇹
Carl K — Google review
Beautiful sandy beach, lots of beach bars and affordable sunbeds (18€ for two beds and an umbrella, Cisk beer is 3.5€). Water is shallow for about 30m in, so great for little kids. Water can be a bit murky in the shallow end from the sand but is beautiful in the deep end.
Petar K — Google review
A really nice place to enjoy a day at the beach. There's everything one would need, cafes, restaurants, sunbeds and umbrellas. Everything is also quite fairly priced and affordable. There's also a water park there, which you need to buy tickets for. The water is also good and there's basically no waves.
Paul R — Google review
Great beach, clear water and not too windy. 20€ for 2 sun beds and 1 umbrella. Not busy. Easy to access from the street (stairs) and you don’t have to walk for the bus stop.
Miriam T — Google review
Clear water and shallow for a very long distance and ideal for non swimmers or children. Water was so clear I could see my feet 👣. Got two beach chairs with umbrella for only €18 right next to the bar and bathroom. This beach was so clean and tranquil that we’re making a trip back to Malta to enjoy it some more!
Krammer A — Google review
Great sandy beach. On one kilometer of sand you will find everything you need to enjoy and have fun. Cafes, restaurants, fast food, shops for renting equipment and buying things for the beach. Two sun loungers and an umbrella for 15 euros. 4 bus stops along the beach. Close to the town of Mallieha. Popay village is nearby, the Red Tower and much more
Bojan M — Google review
A very wide sandy beach with a beautiful view of Mellieha. The water is crystal clear. There are many food stalls and small shops on the beach, and you can rent sun loungers, umbrellas, SUPs, scooters and much more. And what is also important, there are free showers and toilets.

Oz Sofra Kebab Mosta offers generous portions of Turkish cuisine, although the meat may not be exceptional in quality. However, this is compensated by the overall taste of the dishes. The concept of choosing up to 6 sides and salads provides a wide variety for diners to enjoy, including options like salad, rice, and pasta. In terms of kebabs, the mixed donner surpasses the adana due to its superior moisture.
Great place to eat Turkish food in Mosta , friendly staff , good size of portion . Quality grilled meat and the prices are reasonable . Very clean & fresh . Would love to come back to eat again and definitely recommend them to those into Turkish grill and salads .

Ordered by Bolt a mixed shish and a chicken shish, received only mixed shish. Sofra first blamed Bolt than blamed me that i am a liar. Poor food and service. When we shared on fb a lot of people came up with similar claims about sofra.

Great place to relax and grab a great Kebab along with many other options like grilled meats and pizzas 🍕. Great choice of drinks and staff are friendly and welcoming and extremely clean 😀 will be back

Ordered takeaway via Bolt and received a ridiculously small portion—a few chips and pieces of meat crammed into a tiny box. Contacted Bolt, but they only suggested leaving a bad review, offering no real solution. Disgraceful !
Martina S — Google review
Very rude staff. Doesn’t know how to interact with customers.zero hospitality. I asked for ketchup and mayonnaise, he charged me 2 euros for 1 ketchup and 1 mayonnaise.
Mayank — Google review
Never again! We came here on the 17th of September at 7pm and the experience was an absolute disgrace. The place was stifling hot with a malfunctioning AC, and the display fridges clearly weren’t cold enough — our salad, rice, and pasta were served at room temperature. The person serving the food was brusque and rough. When my son politely asked for a separate plate for the meat and salad, the Turkish server flat-out refused — sheer arrogance. The man at the till was more understanding, but that was the only redeeming moment. The portions were tiny, the food was far from fresh, and to top it all off, I’m feeling the aftereffects a day later. Overall, a complete letdown. Never again.
O. M — Google review
One of the best kebabs we had. We stayed for 2 weeks in Mosta I think we ate like 3-4 times. Very delicious and fresh.

Friday evening I popped in to order a mix doner but my plate had only a small portion of chicken and beef 1 slice of beef I asked if it was possible to have the salad which was with cream salad apart because my wife is intolerant to dairy products the guy in purple shirt was very rude and arrogant person my wife told him are you serious telling it's not possible he said not possible my wife was very upset about it note I can suite you by law for not given a service to the client remember you should respect people who have intolerance to food and have more respect for us Maltese people. I also formed the Turkish embassy in Malta about your restaurant because this is not the first time it happened. I paid €14.50 for nothing. All I had in my plate was just 6 fingers chips and salad chicken little and beef one slice You ripped me off. The guy must apologize to my wife for his rudeness and refund me back my money for giving an empty plate? If I want to hear from your side I take law action against you.

Located in Rabat, Malta, Domvs Romana is an open-air site featuring the remains of a 1st-century BCE Roman townhouse. The discovery of this ancient house led to the establishment of the Domus Romana Museum, which now safeguards the excavated ruins and displays a remarkable collection of Roman artifacts found in Rabat and neighboring Mdina. Visitors can marvel at well-preserved mosaic floors that showcase the craftsmanship employed in constructing homes for affluent Romans.
Being one of the only fully remaining roman villas on the island of Malta makes this sight worthwhile visiting! I hesitantly decided to buy a ticket and spend some of the little time I had in the area and was not disappointed. It’s filled with interesting and important history - a bonus that the amount of information is just enough. A good collection of different artifacts, collectibles and more. Definitely worth a visit and knowing more of this part of Malta almost makes you appreciate the island and country even more.
Anders W — Google review
Domvs Romana is a small but very interesting place to visit. The mosaics are beautiful and well preserved, and there are many artifacts to see. It’s easy to walk around and doesn’t take long, but it shows a lot about Malta’s Roman history.
Adam I — Google review
It's a very nice and cosy museum- new and neat but for a really short visit. It's nice to know that Malta has some Roman heritage as well and it's so well-preserved. The sculptures are nice and the tiled floor looks amazing but that's it. Don't forget to go outside to admire the stones. Payment by card only.
Monika M — Google review
An awesome added extra to our original planned visit to the citadel. Well worth the time and money spent to explore a classical piece of archaeology. Pity about the British influence on the site.
Tom B — Google review
A Roman townhouse dating back to the 1st century BC, featuring a beautifully preserved mosaic floor, several statues, and various artefacts, is well worth a short visit if you are exploring Mdina or Rabat.
Jiri V — Google review
Honestly stunning I would defo say get the Rabat tickets that combines it with the national history museum and the catacombs as it makes for a great day out.
Lexi — Google review
This small museum literally covers the remains of a fine Roman home. There are some fine mosaics on display, and other pieces, including a statue of the Emperor Claudius. It's probably not worth a special visit to Rabat, but if you're visiting Rabat and Mdina it's definitely worth going in. You can get a discount combo ticket for this museum and the catacombs.
Richard L — Google review
We both thoroughly enjoyed visiting this museum. The artifacts are set out in a logical and interesting manner, and the information boards are in English as well as Maltese. It was not busy when we were there, so we could could see all the mosaic floors and statues to their best advantage. There is a lift for people with limited mobility. There is access to an external viewing platform that overlooks some of the unexplored Roman site. The staff were very friendly, helpful and informative.

St Paul's Catacombs, located near the church, are an extensive ancient Roman underground cemetery complex dating back to the 3rd century AD. Used for burials for around 500 years, this atmospheric labyrinth of rock-cut tombs, narrow stairs and passages offers a unique historical experience. The site includes a visitor center offering self-guided audio tours that provide insights into the catacombs' history and significance.
St. Paul’s Catacombs are a fascinating glimpse into early Christian history. Walking through the underground passages, you can almost feel the past come alive. The site is well-preserved, with clear information displays. It’s a unique experience that combines history, culture, and mystery definitely worth visiting for anyone interested in Malta’s rich and ancient heritage.
Adam I — Google review
The place is divided into two areas by the street, so be careful not to skip one side by mistake. It is a nice activity that feels like a small adventure. If you manage to visit all the chambers, it is a good small workout too (you will have to go up and down quite a few stairs). Random fact: There was a chicken outside of the gift shop. :D
VALERIA P — Google review
Very interesting place, the catacombs are numerous and you can walk down the stairs into them there are about 20 or so. Be careful because some hallways are tight and have low ceilings. In the hot weather it can get really humid down there so be sure to take your time and take rest breaks. There is a gift shop which also sells drinks and believe me you will need it. Overall worth the trip and entry fee which is €6.
DrowzOnly — Google review
Wonderful insight into burial traditions. Educational but not overwhelming ONLY downside lots of turists who DON'T respect the signs or sound logic if they can fit into places. Or whether they should wait before climbing down steps where it says max 5 people and there are already 5 people insinde! If you are old and overweight Maybe you shouldn't crawl into places off limits FOR a reason. Especially if you then can't get out without help and damaging the surroundings which have delicately stood for so long. THE STAFF should monitor the grounds more closely. The lady in the gift shop was nice, feeding the cat was very cute! 🐈‍⬛️
Lea A — Google review
St. Paul’s Catacombs are a truly fascinating site, remarkably well preserved and steeped in history. Walking through the underground passages gives a real sense of the past, and the interpretive displays are excellent, making the visit both educational and engaging. It’s a perfect place to explore Malta’s early Christian heritage in a quiet, atmospheric setting. One of the most intriguing parts of the visit was discovering the communal burial chambers, where families were laid to rest together — a touching reminder of ancient traditions and beliefs. Allow at least two hours to fully appreciate the site and its historical significance. A must-see for history lovers!
Sebastien R — Google review
A fascinating and atmospheric place where you can learn so much about Malta’s ancient history. The catacombs are well-preserved and full of mystery — walking through them feels like stepping back in time. Definitely worth a visit!

A truly fascinating site that gives a glimpse into Malta’s early Christian history. The catacombs are extensive and well preserved, with clear explanations that make the visit both interesting and educational. Walking through the underground passages is an amazing experience, and the site is very well managed. Definitely worth visiting if you’re in Rabat or Mdina!
Sofie S — Google review
I'd highly recommend a visit here! Even as a local showing my visiting friends around, I really enjoyed exploring the catacombs. I was surprised by the scale of the underground burial grounds - it's more extensive than I expected. The ticket price is very fair considering the experience and the effort that's gone into maintaining the place. Don't forget to see the rest of the catacombs located across the street, with the same ticket. We spent two hours exploring the place, which was ideal to escape the summer heat!

Ta' Marija is an iconic Maltese restaurant that showcases the country's vibrant and festive nature. The menu features authentic Maltese cuisine with subtle touches from a modern-day palate, and from traditional rabbit dishes to mouthwatering desserts, there's something to tempt every taste bud. The service is fast and the food generous, making Ta' Marija a must-go for anyone looking for a delicious gastronomic experience in Malta.
The owner was so passionate about his business and it showed. Our greeting made us feel special, the place was beautiful and we had a good table with comfortable seats. Menu was vast and reasonable so we're the drinks. Service was exceptional. This is a great night to visit, with the folk dancers, and then able to dance ourselves. A 10/10 for anyone. Thank you

As a local I hosted some foreign friends at this fine restaurant. Everything was top notch! From the second we entered the staff welcomed us and service was fantastic. The food, local & international was perfectly cooked and may I add the price was great. The entertainment was great fusing local music with a good atmosphere, animation & live performances. For sure will be returning and recommending this venue. Big well done to Ben & all his team. Keep it up!
Goodear C — Google review
All the reviews are correct, you receive a very warm welcome and the contemporary folklore evening is a very polished well run experience. The menu is varied with traditional choices and good sized portions. Don’t add salt without tasting first, everything is very well seasoned! The Maltese trifle was lovely. The very loud traditional music to accompany the meal was provided by two traditional lol electric guitars The Cultural show is a bit twee, the dances comprised the same moves performed in a different order with an amusing commentary. There were no men and the costumes were more cortisan, than traditional Maltese folklore. The evening concludes with 30 minutes of very loud step back in time disco- dancing (Jet2 holiday) Overall a pleasant evening and worth €55 per head without a hotel pick up. Note the red Merlot was drinkable and the Maltese white wine requires a less discerning palate. Do go, its an entertaining experience but make sure you check your bill

Ta’ Marija is more than just a restaurant it’s a full Maltese dining experience. Family-owned since 1964, you can feel the owner’s passion for the place as he personally introduces the restaurant and shares stories throughout the evening. Alongside the meal, there’s a wonderful local Maltese performance with live music and storytelling, which eventually transforms into a full-on party. Complete with 80s classics and everyone in the restaurant up and dancing. While I wasn’t as impressed with the food itself, the exceptional entertainment and atmosphere made the evening unforgettable. If you’re visiting Malta, this is an experience I would highly recommend.
Anushka L — Google review
The place was amazing! Even though we didn’t have a reservation, the staff did their best to find us a table. After 9:30 PM, there was a traditional dance performance (Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays), and afterward, the place turned into a disco — such a fun surprise! The service was excellent, and the staff were super friendly. The food was good too. We tried rabbit and horse meat — both were fine, though the horse meat wasn’t really to our taste. Their house wines was great as well. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely recommend it!

A brilliant dinner and a show event at Ta’ Marija! A truly wonderful way to experience Maltese traditions — various dishes and dances. We booked a predetermined tasting menu, that had everything from Ravioli to Rabbit meat. The host and servers were excellent— friendliest and kindest in Malta! The owner made us welcome and cozy at his restaurant. Brilliant if you’re looking to get traditional Maltese cuisine and some evening entertainment. My best regards, Sten

I didn’t enjoy the meal there. I didn’t like any of the dishes, didnt enjoy wines and cocktail either. It is a tourist trap. Thankfully guitarists and singer specifically made the dinner nicer. Beautiful music Dancing part was ok But music was at one point too loud i had to go put of it.

CADE, formerly known as Extra Time, provides an exceptional Sri-Lankan dining experience. Upon arrival, guests are greeted by Carit, a friendly and attentive host who takes the time to explain the menu in detail and offer excellent recommendations. The food is delicious and hearty, with generous portions at reasonable prices. Even children are well taken care of with nibbles, colors, papers, and a drawing board provided to keep them entertained.
We spent our new year evening here and we were going to experience our first ever Sri Lankan cuisine. It was amazing, well served, good food and nice ambiance. The quantity was enough. Over all it was good and economical

I had the pleasure of dining at CADE’s. They make all of their dishes hand made and fresh daily. I used to live in Sri Lanka for 8 years and I have eaten at multiple Sri Lankan restaurants. But I have to say when it comes to the authenticity of the flavors and this would be somewhere on the top of the list. They cook using family recipes from Sri Lanka. A little bit far out for some people but definitely worth the visit for good homemade family recipes Sri Lankan food

Our tastebuds were humbled by this dining experience. The food is made with love and authenticity, each bite was explosive with flavour and evoked fond memories of our childhood. From the cashew rice to the veg balls. The red sauce and prawn sauce were so good that I flew it back to London with me. The portion size for the noodle dish and pork is enough for 2 people alone. It was by far the best dining experience I had on the island - and we had eaten in many places from Ta'Futti to the restaurants at the Radisson Blu. Moreover, the owners, Carit and Mahendra made us feel like part of their family. Both are friendly, personable and incredibly funny. They took the time to explain the menu in Maltese and English as to what dishes pair well with each other. My favourite was the cashew rice...you must try it! Veg balls on the platter, the semi circled minced beef, the red sauce and prawn sauce, the pork and noodle dish. My only regret is that I didn't get to try the whole menu as I had only discovered it on the last day! We have decided to come back to Malta in October 2024 and eat here regularly. According to Google, Cade Restaurant is supposed to be open on Sundays from 10:30 AM to 10:30 PM. I arrived at 2:35 PM, only to find the door closed with no sign of life. I tried calling and sent a message via WhatsApp, but received no response at all. I had taken a taxi for 16 kilometers just to get there, so this was not only frustrating but also a waste of time and money. Very disappointing and unprofessional. If opening hours change, please update them online — it’s the least you can do for your customers.

Definitely didn't expect to find a Sri Lankan Restaurants in Malta! The owners were really friendly and welcoming! The food was great! A true Sri Lankan experience!

Undoubtedly one of the best Sri Lankan restaurants we have tried in Europe. We were warmly welcomed by Carit and a great hospitality was provided by the entire CADE team. We tried the Sri Lankan platter, yellow rice, black pork curry, Koththu and hoppers. Food was so good and delicious. Overall, We loved the dinner, the ambiance and the service. Highly recommended!

Cade is the only Sri Lankan restaurant in Malta, located in the Mosta area, which is not easily accessible by direct public transport. The food was good, but a little tasteless, I would prefer having more spices in it. Portions were ok. The prices are a little high for such a "remote" location.

Best Place in Malta to try Sri Lankan dishes. You will feel the real Sri Lankan taste. Yummy food 🥘. It’s done by a friendly couple and good service. Highly recommended you to try Sri Lankan food.

Restaurant
Nestled in the charming hamlet of Bidnija, just a stone's throw from Mosta, Grey Hound Bar & Restaurant is a delightful escape from the hustle and bustle of village life. This cozy eatery specializes in traditional Maltese cuisine, making it an ideal spot for those looking to savor local flavors. During my visit on a Wednesday night, I indulged in a delectable rabbit dish that was so tender it felt more like a slow-cooked stew than fried fare.
"**Grey Hound Bar & Restaurant** is a hidden gem that brings authentic Maltese flavors to life. Their unique menu offers a true taste of the local cuisine, with standout dishes like rabbit, snails, and freshly baked Maltese bread. The food is prepared with care, highlighting traditional flavors while adding a modern twist. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a cozy interior that makes you feel right at home. The staff are attentive and passionate about sharing their knowledge of the local dishes. Whether you're a local or just visiting, Grey Hound Bar & Restaurant is a must-visit for an authentic Maltese dining experience."

Bidnija is a small hamlet just off the outskirts of Mosta and it is known to be quaint and quiet, with a small chapel, a general convenience store and the only catering establishment known as The Greyhound. This bar and restaurant offers mostly traditional Maltese fare and we went on a Wednesday night for rabbit. We had a traditional Maltese platter with bigilla, fried Maltese pork sausage, beans, sun dried tomatoes, olives, pickled onions water biscuits and sourdough bread. Snails were also on the starters list and we sampled those too. Very nice on all counts. The fried rabbit was actually very good and tender - I suspect that it had been marinated for a while, since it was so tender. The accompanying sauce was good and the fries were just right. It is quite a small place so we had no issues with noise and shouting to be heard. On the other hand it was also too quiet, if you know what I mean. Other than that we had a really nice meal and the price was very standard. Recommended!

Grey Hound is a perfect place to seclude oneself from the cluster of villages in Malta, given its location. Parking is aplenty, food is abundant, the taste is good and the bread is sourced from one of the best ovens on the island. 7 of us dined here and everyone enjoyed the Maltese evening. Nonetheless, the rabbit is termed as “fried” on the menu but it’s tenderness would make one think otherwise, rather resembling the “stuffat”method. Also, it can be quite loud inside and I’d recommend reserving outside in summer (a bit crammed inside). All in all, a great evening.

The food is great and they are serving Maltese cuisine. This place is good for group gatherings or an evening dinner with your partner. The place is located at a secluded area so it is convenient if you have your own transpo.

Churches & Cathedrals
The Mosta Rotunda is a 17th-century Catholic church in Malta, known for its neoclassical architecture and historical significance. Completed in 1860, it features a magnificent dome that is said to be the third largest unsupported church dome in Europe. Modeled after the Pantheon in Rome, it withstood a direct hit from a German bomb during World War II.
Visiting the Mosta Rotunda is an unforgettable experience. This magnificent church, with its stunning neoclassical architecture and enormous dome, is truly awe-inspiring. Stepping inside, you immediately feel the peaceful and sacred atmosphere. The history here is remarkable—especially the story of the “miracle bomb” that fell through the dome during World War II but didn’t explode. Walking around, admiring the beautiful frescoes and the impressive altar, you can truly feel the spiritual energy of this holy place. A visit to Mosta Rotunda is not just sightseeing—it’s a moment to connect with history, faith, and tranquility. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Gozo!

Beautiful church with some beautiful stories. What makes this special is the way they present the church and its stories. You pay only about €5 for admission AND a lovely audio tour you download onto your smartphone. You have to climb up and down steep, narrow circular staircase to see the dome up close and personal. That final act of the show is the visit to the air raid shelters in front of (and below ground level) the church.
Joe M — Google review
Architecturaly unique, stunningly beautiful outside and inside and with a WW2 bomb story of czech rebellion against war (bomb was manufactured in the Czech Republic and filled with sand instead of explosives). Must have covered shoulders but covers provided in the church. Possible to also access underground war shelter.
Jana S — Google review
Well worth visiting, quite an incredible structure, beautiful inside. There are WWII air-raid shelters here too, which you can visit. You can walk up to the level of the triple cross, and walk around the outside. In the stonework there are many people who have left their name and date, which is very interesting. I saw one which was from 1864, one hundred and sixty one years ago!! Quite amazing.
Alan B — Google review
The Mosta Miracle-inside this 1833, beautifully domed Parish Church of Santa Maria is a replica of a 1942 WWII bomb that was dropped while Mass was in attendance. The miracle was that it came through the dome and skidded across the floor and failed to detonate. There were over 300 people inside!! This replica bomb is in the sacristy-go see this and watch a free, brief video on this spectacular gold and white church! The dome is somewhat based on the Pantheon in Rome. You can see this from many areas on the island as it is a prominent landmark! Just outside to your right, in front, is an entrance to a WWII tunnel-stop for a quick peek!
Susan C — Google review
Absolutely a must visit while in Malta, great views whilst on top of the church. The bomb that went through the church rooftop during the second world war, lots of baroque paintings around the church and getting to see behind the altar was brilliant.

Worth stopping by and visiting. Highly recommended, with easy bus access. The staff are very helpful and speak English very well. We met two nice older sacristans working at the back, and they shared a lot of history about the place.

City Bar is a popular spot among locals and visitors alike, making it the perfect place to meet up with friends. It's known for hosting charity events and being an ideal venue for parties. Tucked away near Mosta Dome, this small and friendly bar offers great value drinks and free snacks like Hobz biz zejt. With an extensive selection of whiskies, spirits, and beers, it's a great spot to watch sports.
Awesome little spot with its own little courtyard out front. Drinks are amazing value, it's family run and full of locals. Great vibe and lovely hospitality. Highly recommend!

Well, what to say? The guys got Guinness?! You can't fault anyone who managed to get Guinness... Seriously.... I've been going to this bar for some 10 years now, and NEVER been disappointed, on the contrary, they always delivered, with a smile. No bad drinks, ever. No short measures, ever. No bad Aperol spritz... Just properly poured.. Absolute kudos to the owner and his guys for the consistent, solid delivery overall these years. This bar is an absolute GEM in Mosta! Update as of last visit on Sep 3rd, 2025. My past review stands solid. Congrats guys!! Keep up the solid work!

Specialty Museums
The Malta Aviation Museum is a paradise for aircraft enthusiasts, situated on the former Royal Air Force station. It features a remarkable collection of aircraft, including a WWII Spitfire Mk IX and a Hawker Hurricane IIa that were salvaged from the sea after 54 years. The museum also showcases other vintage planes such as a Flying Flea, De Havilland Vampire T11, Fiat G91R, and Douglas Dakota DC-3.
I was excited to be there. The place is nice and clean, however small. 3 hangars to gather a good few machines there. Outfits, stories and a room with plastic models. Toilets at the place and some souvenirs can be gotten as well.
Jakub O — Google review
Really amazing place. Planes are beautiful and in really good condition. The vending machines in the canteen area have lots of great options and the gift shop has lots of amazing gifts for aviation lovers like me. There is a huge model collection that's really impressive that has models of planes of many different countries and time periods. 10/10 will definitely visit again!
Matthew G — Google review
We had such a lovely time at the Malta Aviation Museum today. There is a lot to see and learn, from historic aircraft to fascinating displays, and one of our highlights was being able to go into the front of a cockpit. What really made the experience even more special was the kindness of the staff. The curator (or maybe employee; we are not quite sure, sorry) was incredibly helpful and genuinely friendly. He even offered us water because of the heat, and we ended up having a really nice little chat. You can truly tell he’s passionate about the museum and what it represents. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in Malta and even just a little curious about aviation.
Pauline E — Google review
This is a private museum that does a great job of recording and preserving Malta's aviation heritage. Understandably the collection leans towards the second world war but it also features some post-war aircraft - and there are some vehicles and lots of interesting photographs. The exhibits are all clearly labeled and the descriptions contain interesting historical information and anecdotes.
Richard L — Google review
They have many great and historic planes you can look at. Including the history of the general types of airplanes and the specific history of the models on display. This exhibition is a nice add on after visiting some of the "Malta at war" museums and a must see for all airplane fans.
Jannik H — Google review
Excellent place to Visit, just next to the craft village, a nice place to walk around and look at the planes in the hangar's has a spitfire which I believe was flown to Malta for the museum to house.

Set below ancient capital mdina rabat near national football stadium. This gem is well worth a visit. Several hangars with varied aircraft in them from approx 1930 to 70s . Good display and information about 2nd World War battles with luftwaffe.

The youngest child enjoys the Ta Qali Petting Farm, which offers a wide range of animals like rabbits, ducks, geese, birds, a llama, horse, donkey, and an impressive fish pond. It is a kid-friendly place where children can even adopt bunnies. This location is ideal for young kids and offers an Adventure Park within a 10-minute stroll from the petting farm.
Very welcome place for all ages. Well kept farm animals. Nice playground for kids as well.

**Closing hours not respected / no assistance provided** Posted closing time: 8:00 PM Posted parking closure: 8:30 PM We arrived around 6:15 PM with my wife and our 2-year-old baby. After visiting the petting farm, we went to the adjacent park. When we came back around 7:15 PM, we found that the farm had already closed — with no access to our car still parked inside, along with all of our baby’s necessities. No working phone number to contact them, no way to get help. We had to take a taxi back to our accommodation. Fortunately, we had our appartment keys on us and hadn’t left them in the car. Now we have to return the next morning, hoping the car is still there and undamaged. This incident has seriously disrupted our vacation. It’s unacceptable for the site to close without checking if any visitors or vehicles are still there — especially with a clearly visible car in the parking lot. At the very least, we expect a response from the management with an explanation — if not some form of compensation for the inconvenience caused.
Karim B — Google review
The Ta Qali Petting Farm is located in the southern part of the Ta’ Qali Park. This Farm offers a unique encounter for children with different farm animals such as pygmy goats, pigs, a horse, a lama, a donkey, rabbits and many birds. It also has a recreational space for all the Family. Animal feed is available from feeding machines close to the paddocks, thus children can interact easily with their favourite animals by feeding them. The latest addition in the Petting farm is the featured fish pond holding Koi fish. This has been meticulously designed and built to resemble a natural waterfall and enhanced with a bridge for anyone to enjoy crossing over the water features. The Ta Qali Petting Farm also has a parking space next it. I would give it more stars if maintenance and cleaning were better.
M M — Google review
0 stars.. poor animal conditions especially the rabbits. Learn how to take care of each animal properly pls. Rabbits need hay 24/7 and definitely way more space.
Ramon S — Google review
The place is nice , and free , shame that it feels a little abandoned. The place needs a sprucing up , and maybe a better interaction with the animals . After all it is a petting zoo. The swings needs fixing . Although I must say we still enjoyed it . Hopefully next time , it is still there and maybe some improvements are made. The koi fish where really hard to see . Wish we could buy food , from the place so we could feed the animals . And maybe that would be a good start , to help finance the place a little .
Lucianne M — Google review
horrible enclosures for the animals. some only have concrete to walk and lay on, no dirt, no grass, no hay on the floor. the rabbits live in the dark with no natural surrounding and their floor is a plastic grid so the poop falls through. stop treating animals like that!!!
Matttma C — Google review
We were dissapointed 😞 the place looks like it is not well maintained and the animals need to be looked after better (dirty enclosures for the animals and everything is concrete. We couldnt even spot a fish in the pond with the filth. I think if it was looked after better it would be a great place for the kids to visit.
Briearna G — Google review
This is a new low how humans treat animals. Hungry and thirsty rabbits kept in cages! Hurting their feet. No straw or hay to nibble on. The horse and the pony are kept alone without any decent possibility for activity iaw their species. No straw. No hay. The same applies to the donkey. The birds are without any sand pit, which they need for cleaning themselves or their nutrition. Three peacocks living on about 20sqm. In the end none of the animals is living a life with the needs satisfied to their individual species needs. This place, even clean and tidy, is a shame! It is simply disgusting. You charge fees for almost anything in your country, why not charge a small amount of money to every visitor of this installation to make sure enough money is available to meet all the needs of the animals on display. Every visitor and especially the animals would more than appreciate this.

Cafe
Baroque Café is a delightful establishment situated adjacent to the renowned Rotunda building. With its sunny seating area and the option of shade, this café offers a great location to enjoy a light lunch or simply relax with a refreshing drink. The menu boasts an extensive selection of dishes at reasonable prices, ensuring there is something for everyone's taste. Their ftiras, one made with tuna and the other featuring local cheese mixed with black pepper, are generously filled and incredibly tasty.
Went in because of the nice decorations and atmosphere, and ended up staying as a result of the great snack (nuggets&fries, enough for 2, €8) Very frieny staff, but it would be even better if they came to the table instead of us needing to call them. The drinks where a bit expensive but it makes sense with such a great location.

Lovely location near the Rotunda, stopped in a couple of times when in Mosta for a snack or light lunch. Service is excellent and the food is very good too. Has air conditioning inside and you can also sit out near the church steps. I enjoyed the Maltese, lemon flavoured beer, Cisk!

Lovely location next to the Rotunda. Seats in the sun but with shade if you prefer. Good prices and lots to choose from. We were just wanting a light lunch so had the ftira. One with Tuna and the other with the local cheese with black pepper. Both had plenty of filling and were delicious. We chilled out for a bit with a couple of Aperol spritz which were perfectly made. Not too much ice... just enough. We did also have to try the pistachio donut... not normally a fan off doughnuts but do love pistachio. It came warm and was very good. The service was excellent and the guy working there was very welcoming. A lovely place to sit, eat, drink and watch the world go by.

San Remo is an extraordinary dining destination that offers a remarkable culinary journey. It is a place where guests can truly feel at home, thanks to the impeccable service and phenomenal cuisine. The menu boasts a variety of appetizers and main courses that leave nothing to be desired. The tripe is prepared with excellence and delivers an unforgettable taste experience. Equally satisfying are the prawns enveloped in luscious potato strings, offering a delightful combination of flavors.
Everything great, one of the few left true family restaurants on the island. Food is done with that little extra twist but still authentic and high quality. Don't know why it took me so long to try it but I'll be back for sure.

Additionally, the staff left a lasting impression with their friendliness, kindness, and warm hospitality. To sum it up, I highly recommend this restaurant for an unforgettable dining experience.

Traditional Maltese food, yes. Authentic interior, yes. Must go when in Mosta, yes! We received some nibbles: crackers with bigila and maltese bread with tomato paste and white beans. We ordered as starters the calamari fritti and rabbit spring rolls. Both dishes are homemade and fingerlicking good. The kids had a small portion of pasta bolognese and ricotta ravioli. Both dishes were pure and full of taste. We had the grilles octopus and the fish & chips. So many flavours in one dish. The fish & chips was plenty, we took a piece with us home. To finish it off we ordered a small cup of lime sorbet, perfect for digestion. I recommend everybody this restaurant. Quiet environment where locals eat. Out of the centre of Mosta (2 minute walk).

The cuisine at Chukkas Mosta is absolutely fantastic, right down to the very last morsel. The ambiance in their garden area is delightful, especially when paired with the enchanting Santa Maria fireworks display. Not only would I personally return for these elements, but I would also highly recommend this restaurant for its exceptional service staff. The team is incredibly friendly, efficient, and always wearing bright smiles.
Reservation was easy. It's my second time here and the quality of food was still outstanding! We ordered the ribs and steak for our mains and it was really delicious. I think the portion of the ribs is for sharing but it really depends on your appetite. I love how tender the pork and the steaks were. For desserts we tried the banoffee and it was good as well. This is also recommended as the best steak place and I think it is so far. I would also highly recommend this restaurant.

🔥 I absolutely LOVE a great BBQ! Tonight, I had the most mouthwatering Australian Sirloin Steak—perfectly cooked—paired with creamy mash and a lineup of sauces, including an out-of-this-world blue cheese sauce! 🤩 But that wasn’t all… we also dived into juicy chicken, fresh salad, and irresistible bruschetta! 🥗🍗🍞 And as if the food wasn’t enough, we got a bonus treat: live music under the open sky! 🎶✨ The whole vibe was just magical. 💡 Pro tip: Book in advance because this place is a gem. The food? Next-level AMAZING. The price? Super reasonable. The atmosphere? Perfect whether you’re out with family, on a date, or hanging with friends. 🥂

The food here is amazing, especially the meat. My ribeye had a perfect smoky grilled taste and it was cooked flawlessly. The presentation was quite excellent too. The only reason I'm not giving the restaurant 5 stars on all levels is that the waitering staff were rushing all over the place like crazy. It wasn't their fault. There were a lot of people eating there, probably about a hundred, and the waiters were doing the best they could to cater to everyone's needs. One waiter even came over to ask us if everything is okay and whether we need anything. Perhaps the management should consider having more staff on busy nights so that the waiters will be a bit calmer and appear less exhausted. I would totally recommend this place if you'd like to have some deliciously cooked meat and don't mind it if the atmosphere gets a bit too noisy due to the large amount of people that this restaurant attracts. I look forward to visiting this place again soon.

Very good delicious food. Very busy on Saturdays and so book beforehand. Had to wait for almost an hour for the food. But a great place to talk with friends and family. Prices on the high side. Parking in the street nearby no problem.

The place is one of the coolest places I have visited. Prices are reasonable and good food for good amount of money.

Day 3

Off the beaten path
For day 3, if you don’t mind the extra trek, today covers more off the beaten path places like Ġnien l-Għarusa tal-Mosta - Mosta Bride Garden. Not quite as popular as Mosta Rotunda, but still highly rated among many travelers. Accounting for getting around and average time spent, today’s activities could take about 7 hours.

Shopping
Located in the heart of Paceville, Bay Street Shopping Complex is a vibrant indoor/outdoor shopping destination that offers a wide array of brand-name retailers, eateries, and entertainment options. The complex has recently undergone upgrades and now features top shops, quality coffee shops, bars, and restaurants offering diverse cuisines from around the world. Visitors can explore state-of-the-art nightclubs, a casino, cinemas, live music bars, and various ethnic restaurants.
Bay Street Complex is a great shopping and entertainment spot in the heart of St. Julian's. It has a good mix of stores, cafes, and restaurants, plus a hotel and arcade. The mall is clean, modern, and well-maintained. I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and the convenience of having everything in one place, including fashion shops, electronics, and a food court. It's a great place to visit, shop, or hang out with friends, especially if you’re staying nearby or visiting the beach.

There are so many things to see and to do. Most of the night clubs are located here. Nice restaurants to enjoy food and shops to buy whatever you want. Especially in Christmas period it was amazing.

Good little shopping centre with legit high street brands - the items are the same cost that’s in the UK so don’t expect any major discounts. I’d only recommend staying away from KFC as it’s one of the worst I’ve been to.

Fantastic a lovely Italian restaurant there with fantastic staff and food

Bay Street Shopping Complex is a really nice shopping center. It is clean and has a reasonable selection of shops. The location is really good, as there are a lot of interesting shops and places to eat around the centre. It is one of the best shopping centers in the area, so would recommend visiting the place. 4 sensible ☀️☀️☀️☀️ stars from me. 👍

I wish I took the advice of the reviews here earlier. Regret going here, worst mall comparable to a third world country mall with really few if not overpriced options. Parking is only free for the first 2 hours if you purchased something from one of their shops and there's no option to pay by card. Parking space is really tiny, not advisable to go here if you're claustrophobic. A total fail. There is an ATM but you'll be charged €4 for the tiniest amount. What's worse it's just next to Paceville where it smells vomit everywhere. Not going back again.
Jord S — Google review
Lovely shopping mall, beautifully decorated and full of designer brands. Whoever said that the only place to eat here is McDonald's is all lies cos there's so many places to eat you'll be spoilt for choice. The same time it takes to go up to McDonald's is the same time it takes to go down to the eateries, including directly across. Anything you want, is there and it's a great place to chill though the teens in your life will very much love the Multimax centre above.

Is shopping complex was okay had a couple of souvenir shops if you drink it shops some close shops McDonald’s was quite good there but what I really liked was the eet well shop that was the best shop everything about it was awesome the food was amazing the prices were great the customer service was fantastic the complex itself I think is really big it goes the whole street it’s cleverly located right after all the nightclubs in the nightlife it’s open quite late there’s a movie theatre there as well so it’s okay I can’t recommend it but I can’t not recommend it it’s it is what it is

Gnien l-Għarusa tal-Mosta, also known as Mosta Bride Gardens, is a serene and enchanting park tucked away from the city's hustle and bustle. The well-maintained gardens offer charming pathways and beautiful views to the north. Visitors can explore historical sites like the Victoria Lines and Medieval chapels while immersing themselves in local folklore, including the famous legend of the Mosta Bride.
Lovely place to go with the kids and there is also a playground for the little ones to have fun ☺️

The gardens here look they’ve been recently done up and a great place to sit and relax. The views from here to the north are fantastic. Take a short stroll along the Victoria Lines If the Lines were improved it would allow a longer walk.

Unusable as a playground for kids as it has been completely taken over by outdoor fitness training. Even the swings and playhouse were being used as part of circuit training. At 6.30pm I counted 4 different groups of training within this small area, each with up to 16 people training. Surely there must be better places to train than a kids playground!

The Mdina Cathedral Museum is a must-visit for history enthusiasts. Housed in a Baroque building dating back to the early 1700s, it was originally a seminary and now showcases an impressive collection of sacred art and objects. The museum features diverse displays including religious artifacts such as embossed choir books, paintings acquired over the ages, and works of art bequeathed by a private collector.
The Mdina Cathedral Museum is a religious art museum located inside the mediaeval walled city of Mdina, Malta. We went during the week - the weather was fantastic and so the crowds were large. There was a little bit of a wait to get in. The museum is housed within a Baroque building that was built as a Jesuit seminary. The architecture is breathtaking and the collections are stunning. It can be found on the right-hand side of the St. Paul's Cathedral, in Archbishop's Square. We were very glad we went.
Theresa J — Google review
The Mdina Cathedral Museum was a pleasant visit. The collection is well-organized, with a variety of religious artifacts, artworks, and historical items. The building itself adds to the experience with its quiet, historic charm. It may not be the most spectacular museum I’ve been to, but it’s definitely worth seeing if you’re already in Mdina.
HY — Google review
Even though we love museums and galleries we’ve found this Cathedral museum surprisingly boring. If not for the fact that the ticket included visits both to the museum and the cathedral we would’ve regretted spending time there. The exhibition seems a bit old and unfortunately did not inspire us during the visit. A few rooms with intricate interiors were the highlight of our visit.
Yana K — Google review
The Mdina Cathedral Museum is a must-visit for anyone exploring Malta’s rich history and artistic heritage. Located near St. Paul’s Cathedral, the museum offers a fascinating journey through the history of Catholicism in Malta while showcasing the island’s incredible artistic legacy. The collection is beautifully preserved, featuring artifacts, manuscripts, paintings, and other treasures that reflect centuries of devotion and creativity. Every exhibit tells a story, making it an enriching experience for history buffs and art lovers alike. The €10 ticket that grants access to both the museum and the cathedral is excellent value for money. This museum is a gem that shouldn’t be missed when visiting Mdina!

Great outing for children and adults alike. Reasonable prices, plenty of seating especially outside. Parking can be problematic sometimes. Play area for the children with live animals. Nice gardens for a leisurely stroll. Something for everyone.
Michael T — Google review
Everything surrounding the cafeteria is nice. Kids have the playgrounds and animals. The cafe itself is average. Anything we’ve had so far tasted the same if you get it from regular store. The atmosphere is more towards the cheap and dirty side. But the kids like the playground, so we keep on coming here.

I visited Malta as an exchange student from fall 2021 to February 2022. And for about two first months I regularly visited this cafe. During this time, I had an extremely positive impression of the cafe. The staff is very friendly, polite and not averse to chatting if they have the time and opportunity. The food is also very, very tasty. There was one not very pleasant incident with the food, but it was resolved very quickly. So I recommend this place to everyone.

Nestled in the heart of Mosta, YIAMAS Greek Tavernaki is a delightful little eatery that transports you straight to Greece with its charming ambiance and traditional decor. The moment you step inside, you're enveloped by a warm atmosphere complemented by soothing music. The real highlight here is undoubtedly the food; each dish bursts with authentic Greek flavors that leave your taste buds dancing. From the rich and creamy moussaka to perfectly charred gyros, every bite is a celebration of culinary excellence.
waited way too long to try this place... Yiamas was on my to do list for 2 years. Finally had an excuse to drop in and was not disappointed. Service was great, recommendations were spot on and the food was excellent. Looking forward to coming back.

Tried Greek cuisine for the first time and absolutely loved it! The food was delicious, and the atmosphere with Greek music was amazing. A big thank you to Ivan — he was incredibly friendly and took the time to explain everything to us with great patience. The complimentary treats were a lovely surprise. We’ll definitely be back!
Fidan M — Google review
Had another great experience here so I decided to leave a review. Our host Ivan was very welcoming and helpful and spent a lot of time explaining the menu to us (we are not familiar with Greek food). The food was delicious and the dessert was excellent. In my case I got the "all the gyros" platter and the portion was very generous, well cooked and very tasty. For dessert I had the baklava which was likewise very tasty. I discovered that Greek baklava is shaped in rolls - I'm more used to Turkish baklava that's shaped in squares, but both baklavas are made of crunchy pastry with crushed nut filling and drenched in sweet syrup. All in all a great experience and we'd definitely come again.

Lovely vibes in the restaurant! It took a while to be able to order and we also decided to skip dessert because it took a while and the table still wasn’t clear after we had finished eating. The food was nice! The nachos were immaculate and the fresh drinks options were very nice and affordable. My pasta tasted (Calamari) like the ocean but my friend says that hers was great (Rigatoni)

Disgusting Food, Rotten Beef & Worst Service Ever! I can’t believe what happened tonight. I’ve been a loyal customer for so long, ordering from this place every weekend through Wolt or Bolt, and even bringing friends and business meetings here. I supported this restaurant every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. But tonight changed everything. I decided to dine in this evening , and it was a total nightmare. We ordered Rigatoni Beef Ragu – and the beef was ROTTEN. The smell was so bad it made me sick, like rotten eggs. How can a restaurant even serve something like that? We couldn’t eat a single bite, and still, we were charged the full price! As if that wasn’t enough, we asked for pizza, and the staff told us the pizza kitchen was closed at 8:30 PM. Fine, we accepted that. But then the table right next to us sat down after us and ordered pizza without any problem! Lies and zero respect for customers. The service? HORRIBLE. When we went to pay, the waiter and the cashier started screaming at each other in their language, throwing things on the payment counter. We had to just stand there and wait while they fought. Completely unprofessional and embarrassing. I used to love this place, but after this experience, I will NEVER come back. You lost a loyal customer who brought business to your door every single weekend. This was disgusting, disappointing, and unforgettable for all the wrong reasons.

We went for lunch midweek. The place was not very crowded and we found a table easy. Waiters were polite but after some point it was difficult to find them for additional order! Food was nice and tasty but the size of the burger was small for 7,50! Didn't try other things from the menu. Maybe I could visit one more time to try other things!

Fast food restaurant
Burger King Sliema is a popular fast-food spot known for its grilled burgers, fries, and shakes. Despite previous reservations about the chain, this particular experience was surprisingly positive. The prices were reasonable compared to other dining options in the area, and despite being crowded, the order was ready in just three minutes. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean. Additionally, online ordering is available through convenient screens. One visitor enjoyed a fresh Whopper Meal with helpful dessert recommendations from Mr.
Clean place, fast and kind staff. The onion rings was better than in any other Burger King we’ve eaten at! Located at such a good place so it was easy to find 🫶🏻🇭🇺❤️
Csilla P — Google review
As a local who’s visited Burger King Sliema many times, I thought it was finally time to leave a proper review and today’s experience absolutely deserves five stars. I went for the Triple Whopper meal with Chilli Cheese Bites and a bottle of water. Everything was freshly prepared, full of flavour, and served at just the right temperature. The fries were piping hot and perfectly crispy, just as they should be. The Whopper itself was generously stacked and well-balanced nothing soggy or sloppy. The Chilli Cheese Bites were also a great touch, with a nice kick. The ordering process was smooth and efficient. I used their self-service machine which was straightforward to navigate and allowed me to pay right there super convenient. The order came out promptly without any fuss. What really stands out at this particular branch is how clean and well-kept the whole area is. I visited on a quiet Sunday afternoon, and both the interior and exterior seating areas were spotless. I chose to sit indoors where it was cool and peaceful, but there’s plenty of outdoor seating as well. The staff were polite and attentive, checking that everything was in order without being intrusive. Overall, a solid experience from start to finish. If you’re in Sliema and craving a quick but satisfying meal in a clean, calm settingthis Burger King is definitely worth a visit.

HUZZAH! I arrived here with my fine maiden, and immediately got a greeting from the lovely chasiers. We then proceed to order to try and vanquish our famine. Service so swift that our meals were completed within only a few minutes.... Then the ravaging began! We feasted like kings HUZZAH! While we were demolishing our divine meals, one of the lovely cashiers approached our vicinity and asked if we'd graciously accept 2 of her finest crowns fit for royalty. We eagerly accepted and wore them throughout our feast. Needless to say, this establishment has more than satisfied our famine, it has satisfied our souls. HOORAH!!

There were no table numbers available for table service, the order machine’s receipt printer wasn’t working, the store was super hot due to the air conditioning being turned off or not working (I sweated a lot while dining in), and there were plenty of flies bothering me. The only positive thing is that the staff is nice. No wonder people choose to go to McDonald’s next door instead.
Claudio C — Google review
Honestly the food is great however the place doesn’t have wi-fi and maybe make the atmosphere more inviting. Perhaps make the restaurant more elderly friendly like a ramp so even people in wheelchair can go inside. Also, add variety of hot drinks or desserts. Just make the place more friendly and comfortable. Even your sofa chair near the window inside is uncomfortable. And maybe service staff be mindful to pull down the sun screen when there are people outside. Very sad place to eat in.

Best Burger King I have experienced out of THE country. Crunchy chili king was bomb. And mango curry sauce for the nuggets was a nice treat, something we can't get in the states. Just lovely.

Food tasted like it should, no food poisoning after consumption. One of the ordering screens was useless, so everyone was forced to use the only other one left, which did not print the receipt.. Because the restaurant is only equipped with two of them... Took therefore a century to order.

I visited Mellows Cafe for lunch as it was conveniently close to my hotel. Situated near the Rotunda in the heart of Mosta, this restaurant offers a range of delicious dishes. I ordered a gourmet burger, pasta carbonara, water, and an Aperol spritz, all of which were excellent. Despite being picky eaters, we found the food to be very flavorful with generous portions and ample cheese and sauces on the side.
Very good breakfasts, large portions and friendly stuff. 😊❤️

Nice place to have a coffee and some food, overall good. Service is good and attentive, pizza was good and well priced the Al Orza was good but would prefer other sauce to be a bit thicker. Very tasty though. The let down was the dessert, got a banoffee as a staple however the biscuit was so compacted the spoon couldn’t permeate it and also the cream tasted very fake not fresh whipped cream. Place is very loud.

It seems very regular from the outside but we were very surprised about the quality of the food. The taste is amazing and also the variety of dishes offers something for everyone. We recommend trying a local wine from the wine list, it's superb! We had a chicken Ceasar salad and Pizza al salmone to share. The prices are also super good! *edit* we have been there another time and ordered the maltesian ravioli and the parma rucola pizza with a bottle of white wine. This is the best restaurant we've been to and we've already been to Sicily, Rome, Napoli - the pizza there wasn't as good as in the restaurant Mellows. The waiter Bharath is super friendly and helpful - we are super happy!

I see lots of good reviews for this restaurant and wonder if we ate in a different place. I had a Texas pizza and could only just eat half. The diced bacon was undercooked and made the whole thing soggy. One person had the fish burger and the fish goujons were terrible, over battered and over cooked. One person had a rib eye steak which came out undercooked and cold. Sent back to be cooked more and was ok after that. At no stage did anyone ask how our food was.
