Absolutely the most beautiful church I've ever seen (ranks with Notre Dame). It isn't remarkable from the outside, but inside is a hidden treasure. I believe it was built in the late 15th century. It has been very well preserved since. This is a must see!
Worth seeing, very aesthetically pleasing
Incredible. A must see!!
(Translated by Google) Just noticed it by chance while listening past. A beautiful baroque monastery, large complex with an open monastery church inn and free toilet. You can park in the inner courtyard or, coming from Tremmersdorf, there is a small parking lot at the entrance on the right.

(Translated by Google) Really beautiful monastery, absolutely worth seeing. Above all, the whole area invites you to explore. Afterwards you can stop at the monastery inn and end your visit.

(Translated by Google) The monastery village of Speinshart extends in a pentagon that is open to the south. It consists of the monastery's former farm buildings. Almost all of the buildings have been extensively restored and are now inhabited by private individuals. The north gate is the actual entrance to the complex, which is adjoined to the south by the monastery inn and finally the rectangular monastery building with the baroque church, which is lavishly decorated with stucco and frescoes. But there is also access from the south along an avenue of old trees, at the end of which you end up directly at the parking lot in front of the monastery complex. The Premonstratensian Order founded the monastery in 1145 and built the first monastery church in the Romanesque style in the same century. According to plans by Wolfgang Dientzenhofer, from the family of master builders who also worked on the Waldsassen Basilica, the current monastery church was created when the entire monastery complex was redesigned around 1700. The side altars are partly decorated with inlay work, the two front ones with stucco luster. The discreetly colored carvings on the cheeks of the church chairs, which show the instruments of Jesus' suffering, carried by angels, are remarkable. A statue of the Virgin Mary in a wreath of flowers hangs above the central aisle, which tells us that the church is dedicated to the Mother of God.
