I just visited Stanford University, and it was an incredible experience. Walking through the Main Quad, visiting the Hoover Tower, exploring the Cantor Arts Center, and strolling around the Arizona Garden made the campus feel alive with history, art, and natural beauty. Every corner of Stanford inspires learning, creativity, and exploration—it’s a place I’ll never forget.

One of the top universities in the world and in the Ivy League university of the United States. It has a very distinct architecture that attracts a lot of visitors from around the globe. The campus is quite large and very pleasant to walk around on a weekend. There are plenty of tourist in the area along with the students as well. Plenty of historical significance of the buildings and signage around the area. There are many pictures spots in the campus. A nice place to visit.

Stanford University is one of the most beautiful and prestigious campuses in the U.S. We visited as a family and were amazed by the blend of historic architecture, open green spaces, and peaceful courtyards. The Main Quad, Hoover Tower, and Memorial Church are all must-sees. The campus is clean, well-organized, and perfect for walking or biking. Tip: Start at the Stanford Visitor Center for maps and tips, and wear comfortable shoes—it’s a large campus. Whether you’re a prospective student or just sightseeing, it’s an inspiring place to explore.

Stanford absolutely lives up to its reputation as one of the most gorgeous campuses in the US! The 8,000-acre grounds are stunning, starting from the iconic Palm Drive entrance lined with Canary Island palms. Hoover Tower is a must-do for $8 - the 360-degree views from the 14th floor observation deck overlooking the entire campus and Bay Area are incredible! The Main Quad with its Richardsonian Romanesque architecture is breathtaking, and Memorial Church is definitely worth stepping inside. The biggest surprise was the Cantor Arts Center being completely free with the world's second-largest Rodin sculpture collection outside of Paris - art lovers shouldn't miss it! Parking is coin-operated at $1.50/hour but free on weekends which is nice. They offer guided tours on weekdays (need to book ahead) but self-guided with the free map works great too, taking about 1-2 hours. I'd recommend visiting on weekdays for a more authentic academic atmosphere and fewer crowds. The whole campus feels like a beautiful park - no wonder so many tech leaders came from here!

We walked around the main square and Memorial Church, with were both pretty and amazing. The campus is very well kept, and there are many sculptures scattered around. Overall an amazing place to walk, explore, and attend for university!

Loved the open-air vibe with all the greenery and fountains—it doesn’t feel like your typical mall. Tons of great stores, from high-end brands to cool local shops. Grabbed a bite at one of the cafes and just enjoyed people-watching. Perfect place to spend a relaxed afternoon shopping and soaking up the Silicon Valley energy.

It is regarded as a premium outdoor shopping experience.

This is a really big and spacious shopping center! I’m amazed by the number of seating areas available, especially for university students. It’s such a great spot if you want to study outside, with its airy and nature-friendly architecture. You can easily spend hours walking around, window shopping, or people-watching. There are lots of sports shops, high-end brands, and there’s even a very cute cat town!

A bit underwhelming… there is not many stores here compared to other malls such as the Roseville Galleria which also carries most luxury brands. I do enjoy shopping at Loro Piana and Tiffany but this particular Hermes isn’t my preferred location. Overall I would not go out of my way to visit here.

I've had a ton of experiences here and they've always been good! The place is well kept and clean, with tons of options offering everything you could ever imagine and need all in one place. The food spots are also delicious, and well priced for this style of mall. The parking situation can get hectic at times, but you'll find a spot!

It has a great Christmas vibe, lots of delicious restaurants to choose from, and plenty of shops to explore, including Christmas decorations, clothing, and beautiful kitchenware.

Beautiful place to enjoy artsy environment. A gem in the middle of Stanford: free entrance, free art kit for kids, and plenty of places to enjoy the art. We came here during weekday in the afternoon, there was no wait, some group of students came in for field trip. Appreciate the owner of this place so much. What a legacy!

Definitely worth a visit - the place has a very peaceful and quiet environment. I’d recommend bringing some water, as exploring all the art can take around 45–50 minutes. There are sitting areas along the way if you need a break from walking. It’s a really nice spot overall, and you can also check out the park right next to it.

A powerful and thought-provoking experience. The Cantor Arts Center surprised me deeply. I came in expecting a typical university museum—and left moved, inspired, and full of questions. The Second Nature exhibition was particularly impactful: bold, raw, and unapologetically urgent. Some works felt overly constructed, others struck me like quiet revelations. But overall, it was a meaningful encounter with art, nature, and our responsibility as humans. Highly recommended for anyone seeking more than just pretty pictures.

Outdoor sculptures are Amazing, if you have some time to visit, before a Stanford Appointment. The museum has a Great History of the first railroad from The Bay Area, to The East Coast, too!! There's a Church, too, with Beautiful stained glass windows.

A museum with a vast archive that is well worth seeing. You can spend a day visiting the museum and the school.

This museum is free, easy to navigate, and fun for kids. The collection is diverse—everything from ancient artifacts to contemporary pieces—so there’s always something interesting to see. The building itself is beautiful, elegant, spacious, and clean, and staff (volunteers) are quite helpful and friendly. The outdoor sculpture garden is a highlight, especially for kids who need to move around after looking at art indoors. It’s a great balance of culture and fresh air. You could easily spend a whole day here, and since admission costs nothing, the only expense is parking and coffee, - if you visit the small cafe. Great place for a laid-back visit, whether you’re into art or just looking for something different to do.

Great way to see the Stanford University campus! The elevator takes you 285 feet up to the observation deck with absolutely stunning views. My guide was very friendly and knowledgeable, I especially enjoyed the story about Lou Henry, Stanford’s first female graduate in 1898, who later married fellow alum Herbert Hoover, the 31st President of the United States.

Hoover Tower at Stanford University is a striking landmark with rich history and fantastic views. We visited with family and took the elevator to the observation deck, where the panoramic view of the campus and surrounding areas was truly impressive. Inside, there are also exhibits related to the Hoover Institution’s archives and historical research. Tip: Entry is affordable, but hours can be limited—check in advance before visiting. The tower is a short walk from the Main Quad and makes for a great photo spot. A must-see for anyone touring the Stanford campus!

The exhibition galleries on either side of the entrance and the views at the top of the tower are very interesting and provide nice time to chill. The staff at the center are very friendly and helpful. I was so happy to meet and chat with Megan N at the information desk who, with so much of zeal, gave tons of information about the facility and provided guidance for my visit. Sreevidya at ticket counter was very courteous and helpful. On the whole, it’s a cool place to visit at the Stanford University.

A must if you’re in Stanford. I went with a friend who graduated from there and she was like “Man, how could I’ve missed this” hahaha. Beautiful views of the campus and on clear days you even see SF

It is great place to learn the history about Hoover Couple, their education, business and political life. You can pay $8 person to take elevator to the top of tower to take 360 degree view about the whole campus. Feel so good when you stand the high point to view the campus. Really impressed about it. Worthy to pay to do it. They also list the Watergate important inside story. Worthy to recommend friends to visit here.

A quick and easy place to get a little bit of information about the history of Palo Alto and the history of silicon Valley. It is just a plaque on a private home but you can walk by and you can see it and you can visualize what happened here that was so important in American history.

There's nothing to see other than the outside of the house and the garage but the location is beautiful and if, like me, you love what this place means, you'll enjoy to come by.

Great historical curio stop in nice neighborhood in Palo Alto. Very humble beginnings, as that garage looks tiny! There is a plaque on front lawn detailed the birth of HP. At time of my visit both house and garage look freshly painted. Nice neighborhood for a walk also among craft homes and sycamore trees.

Definitely worth the walk / climb! A really well maintained track with fabulous views across Stanford University campus and the San Francisco Bay.

Try to wear a hat and get a good sunscreen if you are going for a trail. Wear good shoes, some parts can be really steep. The view is quite nice. One can see the two cities San Francisco and San Jose from the top.

Nice place to go for a hike. It does get a bit boring as it's just a big loop / circle. But it has a quite a bit of wildlife ranging from squirrels to woodpeckers to coyotes at times.

Parking was east, Google maps takes you to a neighborhood, need to turn back. First hill is steep, but overall a pleasant walk.

The Stanford Dish is a fantastic hiking spot right on campus. The loop trail is about 3.5 miles and gives you a mix of moderate uphill climbs and easy stretches. What makes it special is the wide-open views — you can see across Stanford, Palo Alto, and even the Bay on clear days. It’s named after the large radio telescope (“the Dish”), which is still used for research and is the landmark of the trail. Along the way you’ll spot plenty of wildlife like hawks, deer, and rabbits, plus seasonal wildflowers. There’s no shade, so bring water and a hat, especially in summer. But overall, it’s one of the best places for a morning walk, run, or just to enjoy nature while staying close to campus.

I have been running this trail for 20 years and I love it. For Runners or Walkers: NOTE there are multiple entrances. The one near page mill road is roughly 3.2 miles. The entrance near Alpine Rd and 280 is 5.3 miles. This is a beautiful hike with a lot of incline, so you’ll definitely get a workout here. This area is famous. A couple of tips for you as you plan: - Leave nothing in your car. It will be broken into if you do. -Bring a hat or sunscreen. There is no cover or shade! -Bring comfortable shoes. If you have knee problems, this can be challenging. -Bring water, they have people who get rescued here a lot for dehydration. -Use the bathroom before. No bathrooms except for a portable one on the page mill entrance -Stay in the trail and respect the nature. Keep this place beautiful. And most importantly, enjoy! This place is beautiful and an important historical place.

Enterance at Alpine Road will take you to 3 uphill slopes to get to 2 hiking trails. I think these 3 slopes are the most challenging and once you get through them then the rest of the hike is not too challenging. I'm not an experienced hiker so if I can do this almost anyone can. 😂

This garden is always beautiful, clean, and uplifting—a true hidden gem in PA! The volunteers put so much care and heart into maintaining it, and it really shows. I recently joined the Gardener’s Hour session and loved the knowledge, laughter, and sense of community it created. No matter the season, it’s a wonderful place to visit and I highly recommend it!

This is a true gem! The flowers are absolutely stunning with vibrant colors that make the whole garden come alive. Everything is so well maintained, from the pathways to the beautifully arranged beds of seasonal blooms. It’s peaceful, relaxing, and a perfect spot for photography, a quiet stroll, or just enjoying nature’s beauty. Highly recommend visiting—especially if you appreciate gardens that are cared for with such love and detail.

I was looking online about this garden. Honestly, I thought that it’s going to be very big based on the map, but it’s just a medium-sized garden with a house. I think that this garden has been here for decades and workers took very care of that garden. There weren’t many people visiting this garden probably because I came here on Monday, but there were pretty nice gardens and flowers to look at. It also has a green house and a two-story house I believe. Idk if anyone lives inside that house with a garden, but probably the Gamble family has been living there for a while. Otherwise, it’s most likely an office, museum, or used for something else like a preservation. I wanted to stop by here since I like going to gardens and taking pictures of plants and nature. Honestly, there wasn’t really much here since the garden isn’t really big, but it’s still a nice place though.

Mid-Sept 2025 First time visit to these gorgeous gardens. My favorites are the dahlias. The whimsical bunny topiary is so fun too! I didn't enter the buildings, simply walked around the gardens on a warm weekend afternoon. We will be back soon. Maybe I will not wear sandals next time - I ended up with itchy ankles after my daytime visit. Plenty of street parking; however there is a parking lot on the premises.

This is a true gem in the Palo Alto neighborhood off of Embarcadero! The Gamble family would be proud to see the property open free to the public/7 Days a week. A nice variety of flowering plants, shrubs, and trees. A must visit if you are in the area. Parking can be limited during busy times. The all volunteer PA Garden Club does a great job to maintain the gardens.

It's just a small garden in PA neighborhood! We stopped by there in middle September, garden has little flowers to show off! If you are visitors from other towns, you may skip it to save time for other interesting places in PA

Beautiful, serene, zen, and FREE! This is one of the many beauties of Palo Alto. I will certainly return to relax, meditate, or read. The variety of flowers and plants are enough to keep you occupied and entertained. This is also a lovely area for photographic opportunities. Parking is free along the street. Please, be respectful and kind with no littering or doing any harm to the plants.

Absolutely love Baylands Nature Preserve! 🌿 It’s one of the most peaceful and beautiful spots in the Bay Area. The birdwatching here is amazing tons of nesting birds and wildlife all year round. The sunsets are breathtaking, especially from the pier, where the sky lights up with incredible colors. 🌅 The hiking and walking trails are well-kept and perfect for a relaxing stroll or jog with gorgeous views of the marshlands. Every visit feels refreshing and full of natural beauty. Highly recommend for anyone who loves nature, photography, or just wants a quiet place to unwind!

I utilize the Stevens Creek bike trail that connects you to the Baylands Bike trail that runs through the Baylands Nature Preserve. Awesome views as you cruise or walk along. All types of wildlife. There are ample places to stop along the way for a break or to just enjoy the view and the breeze that comes off the water most days. I visit daily and would recommend anyone in the area who enjoys outdoor walks or activities to visit.

This place is amazing, endless trains for running, hiking or just sitting around bird watching or enjoying the nature. Lots of parking, and great place to watch the sunrise.

We didn't see much wildlife the afternoon we were there, but.... what an expansive, serene spot in the middle of the Bay Area! SO many trails and benches all around as well. Lots of signage for trails and the wildlife as well. Nice job🌟

This is an all-around great spot to enjoy some nature trails. I often walk the trail that runs right alongside the runway for Palo Alto airport (KPAO) and the trail eventually wraps behind the golf course. I frequently see groups of bird watchers in this area as well, so I guess it's also a good location for that (if that's your sort of thing). There's usually plenty of parking here as long as there's not some event happening. I've found most of the bikers here to be friendly as well, so I never had an issue with sharing the trail between walkers and bikers).

The Stanford Theatre is an all-time American experience. The essence of the picture show. Comfortable seats, exceptional interior and the most authentic experience you could wish for. If you’re visiting San Francisco, make it a part of your trip. It’s worth the travel. I feel grateful for having had the experience and am very thankful for the generosity of the Packard family for their support in preserving this landmark

Wow. Incredible. First time was tonight an 855pm showing of darling Clementine. The usher was so friendly and convinced us to try the theater. Tickets are inexpensive. The theater is magnificent. The snacks are reasonable it's like going back to when I was a kid. THERE WAS A LIVE ORGAN PLAYING WESTERN MUSIC BEFORE THE MOVIE STARTED INSTEAD OF ADVERTISEMENTS. I loved this experience!!!

Wonderful heritage venue featuring Hollywood’s classics. The organ entry and curtain raiser is a special surprise. As a Humphrey Bogart fan I loved watched the African Queen.

Always a great place to watch classic movies on the big screen. Admission and refreshments are reasonable. It can be very popular so make sure you get there in time to park and get inside before the film starts. You will be treated to a little music beforehand. Plenty of places around to grab a bite or beverage before or after the show too.

A fantastic vintage theatre showing only classic films. Staff are friendly and helpful. Very reasonable concession prices. Thank you to David Packard for making these great films available on the big screen. It's always a treat!

This is a fun place to watch a movie if you want to go back in time. Their prices are very reasonable for a classic show and snacks. You even get a double feature, which hasn't happened in a regular movie theater in decades.

For movie lovers, this place is as close as we can get to heaven. The Stanford Theater is one of my favorite places on the planet - as soon as you get to the box office you’re going back in time. $7 for a double feature! $1 for a small popcorn! The theater has been beautifully restored with so many classic posters hung on the wall. And the music! Between the second and third showings of the night, an organ player rises through the stage and plays through the intermission. I love this place and I’m so grateful for it.

We were amazed by how interesting and fun this zoo was. It is great for science and teaching kids how science really works. Was an amazing experience as a family and we will love to come back here again. Make sure to buy tickets online before going. Usually tickets gets sold out soon on the weekends .

Such a fun place for the whole family! My 2.5-year-old absolutely loved exploring every part of the museum and the zoo. It was so sweet watching him make connections between the animals and the characters from his story books. 🦒📚 Everything was clean, tidy, and thoughtfully organized. There were so many little nooks and hands-on areas to discover — perfect for curious toddlers! We also spent some time at the outdoor playground right outside since the weather was nice. Overall, this is a wonderful spot to take your little ones. We’ll definitely be coming back!

A Fantastic Museum for Younger Kids - Plan for a Morning of Fun! The Palo Alto Junior Museum is a fantastic local outing for the little ones. We spent a Friday morning here and had a great time exploring everything it has to offer. It's very well-designed for its target audience. Here’s a quick breakdown to help you plan your visit: * The Three Main Zones: The museum is cleverly split into three areas. There's an outdoor mini-zoo with birds and a really fun treehouse/jungle gym. Another outdoor space is a dinosaur area with a sandpit where kids can dig for "fossils." The indoor area is full of hands-on exhibits like blocks, magnets, and a giant ball run. * Good to Know: It's not a huge museum, so it’s not overwhelming. We spent about 3 hours here and my kids felt like they had seen everything. It’s definitely geared towards a younger crowd (I’d say ages 7-8 and under). As expected, it was busiest in the morning and started to empty out around noon for naptime. * Pro-Tip: The best part is that there’s a large park right next door. It’s perfect for letting the kids run around after you're done with the museum, easily extending your outing into a full day, just remember to pack a lunch or snacks.

This is a wonderful little place to bring your family for a few hours. We got to hear about Sequoia the eagle in the morning and feed flamingos in the afternoon. There's a fun treehouse you can climb around in. There are also interactive activities inside.

This was a really great experience for us! My 5 year old loved it all and there was plenty to keep my 1 year old busy too. We got to feed the flamingos which was awesome. Super friendly and accommodating to different needs. We would definitely go back.

A truly unique and beautiful church in Silicon Valley. Very peaceful, fits a lot of people. I had the chance to listen to some organ music during my visit which took me back to the times when I visited churches throughout Europe. Please be respectful- cover up your shoulders and don't wear shorts inside the church. Also please keep your voice quiet.

It was a cool, but beautiful day. Parking was a problem. The people there were very nice. It wasn’t too crowded. I liked it and would definitely come back. The apples and cookies I bought were great! The smells were amazing, and my guy dog really enjoyed everything about it. So if you’re in the area, and you wanna get a little bit of market experience, come on in and enjoy! I would recommend.

Really enjoyed their entertainment today, they had a barbershop chorus called the Peninsulaires they were awesome! All the vendors had great vegetables and fruits as well as some great breads, pastries and deli bagels

A bustling Saturday morning crowd accented by colorful produce booths and street performer music. I really enjoyed this little market and appreciated the selection of vegetables available—green onions, cilantro, fresh garlic, & so much more. Rambling from booth to booth, tasting samples of fresh peach slices on one end to flavorful dipping sauces on the other (“Roti Pakistani Authentic Food”). Great way to start the day.

Very comfortable little marketplace. Don't come here expecting lower-than-grocery prices, although the quality of the produce is rather expectional. I often see that the vendors who provide samples get more customers. Here are a couple places that really stood out: - Smit Farms My god is this farm amazing. Owner is very cheerful. What really spoke to me was the indescribable quality of their nuts. The flavor of the Applewood smoked almonds took me by surprise. They also have crazy juicy cherries. - Go Nutty Some of their savory nuts beat the deliciousness of Smit's. They're quite good with spice. I recommend the Siracha nuts. - Kasaiwase Farm I highly suggest you try their Flavor Rosa Pluots and their Roboda Apricots. Especially the apricots. - Shampa's Pies The guy at the stall is very likeable! The friendliest vendor in the market. Best pie I've ever had. Try the walnut one or the sweet potato pie. Love that they offer delivery services! A must-have on Thanksgiving. - PanoRama Baking Company Delicious and visually appealing breads! Extra: Satkar 's Indian Cusine offers huge $2 samosas (3 for $5). They are yummy & very filling. In addition, [Forgot Name]'s Pecan Macaroons are a must-try. $0.85 a piece. Unbelievably chewy, malty, cool and airy. Also, give Mulberry guy a visit!

Small and very euro like. I randomly walked into it and the first stop was the French shop. I needed nothing less. Got my foie gras, cured duck breast and duck sausage - just like I did in Parisian Christmas market.

Locals call it, "The best little secret in Palo Alto". It's a quaint and cute Farmers Market with produce, breads, flowers, meats, snacks and much more sold by local and semi local folks.

Great hiking trail. There is a good mix of terrain but well paved so not very difficult. Very scenic trail with lots of bird to spot

Great place for a quiet walk. lots of ground squirrels and birds. the parking lot is a bit small. less crowded after 2p. we walked on the west side of the road, up to Arastradero Lake. v quiet, great views. a coyote stood and watched us for a while and trotted off.

Had a great hike here in late April. Grass was green, wildflowers and birds were all over the place. A full loop of the preserve (my preferred route) is about 6 miles and fairly gentle by Bay Area standards. This isn't pristine nature by any means; it's sandwiched between a horse pasture and a golf course with mansions along the rest of the perimeter, and there are power lines along the creek trail for some reason. But none of that spoils the scenery and the easy accessibility is one of this place's big virtues. Expect to have to hover for parking on nice weekends, or park at Page Mill and Arastradero and add an extra mile each way.

The main parking is very dusty. So get ready to get your car washed after parking there. So are the rest of park trails. You can literally smell the pungent dust during large swathes of the trail. But overall it's well marked. There are well maintained toilets by the parking lot

This was a beautiful place to walk in nature when we had the drought. But now that we’ve had rain it’s just stunning. You see golden hills with green oak trees, pink tiny wildflowers, red tail hawks, and the lake is so serene that it mesmerizes you if you can stop in the middle of Silicon Valley. There are dragonflies of many species, butterflies, mama birds taking care of young in the water and more. Do be familiar with what poison oak looks like so you can avoid it. Then take a breath and enjoy!

This preserve is home to a variety of plant and animal species, including oak trees, wildflowers, deer, and a variety of bird species. The trails wind through rolling hills and offer breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. I particularly enjoyed the Arastradero Lake Trail, which follows the shoreline of a serene lake and provides opportunities for birdwatching and other wildlife sightings. The trails themselves are well-maintained and clearly marked, making it easy to navigate the preserve. There are also several interpretive signs along the way that provide information about the local flora and fauna, as well as the history of the area. It's a great place for a fun weekend hike!

Nice parking lot, free, beautiful views, small visitor center with information about local wildlife and Ohlone history. Nice bathrooms. Parts of the hike have little to no shade so bring sun gear. The trails are gravel and dirt (not wheelchair or stroller friendly). Great place for families. Wish the hikes were a bit more accessible.

Large lush green park with multi sport grass and turf fields, tennis courts and a running track. There are also some bars for exercising. Located near the Cubberley Community Center it shares a large parking lot and there is some street parking. The restroom facilities are also well maintained. It’s frequently used for classes and soccer matches but has enough space for multiple teams to be playing at the same time.

We went to Mitchell Park on a Saturday and spent some wonderful time there. Magical Bridge Playground is truly one of the standout play areas in the area! Parents can relax in the shaded section equipped with benches and tables while their children explore the diverse range of attractions, including roller slides, steep slides, regular slides, and various spinning contraptions and swings. The park also offers amenities like artificial grass and cardboard pieces for sliding. Adjacent to the playground is a library, providing convenient access to bathrooms and a quiet spot for reading or decompressing. Ample parking makes it easy to access, and the park's spacious layout includes volleyball courts, a dedicated children's area, and plenty of open grassy spaces for picnics. During our visit, we encountered a vibrant mix of park-goers, from moms pushing strollers to high schoolers enjoying volleyball, and even dog walkers. Observing the diverse tapestry of life in the park was quite fascinating, highlighting the beauty of nature and community. Given the excellent weather and the park's natural charm, we're already planning our next visit. It's a wonderful place to celebrate the outdoors and everything nature has to offer.

We brought our dog from San Leandro to avoid the firework chaos. We were taking him to a dog-friendly park. To our surprise there was a community party going on with a musical group, food vendors, community wellness help tents, and games. The park was very clean and well maintained. There were portable toilets and brick and mortar restrooms. It was a pleasant surprise coming to Mitchell Park. We were also surprised they offered free water, but not sure if it was tap or filtered.

My daughter loved the Park specially Magical bridge. There are lots of playing options for kids for all ages. Also very good place for picnic. It has big ground where you can sit and relax, have food and enjoy the afternoon. There was also a local band was performing and had a great time. There is no parking or entry fee for the park however can help magical bridge to expand by donating. Small banners posted for donations. You can easily spend 2-3 hours here.

Great park to spend time with kids and family

I brought my daughter to this place today. A very warm lady here explained a lot of animal knowledge to us. I believe this is very helpful for my daughter's love of nature.

A good place for a walk by the bay. There is a nice nature center that is interesting for kids and adults. There is also a boardwalk out towards the bay. If you like airplanes, there is also a trail adjacent to the Palo Alto airport where there are often small planes doing touch and go’s.

It is a great place to take a walk in the morning and evening and enjoy nature.

First and foremost, let’s delve into the aesthetics—oh wait, let’s be real, the glaring absence of any aesthetic appeal! The very instant I stepped foot into this so-called haven, I was confronted with a sight so utterly pitiful, so uninspired, that it teetered on the edge of laughable! POWER LINES, people! Yes, you read that right! Power lines slicing through this so-called nature preserve like grotesque industrial scars marring a landscape that should be nothing short of pristine! HOW can anyone even fantasize about feeling a connection with nature when bombarded by glaring reminders of human invasion and technological devastation? It's like trying to savor the finest gourmet meal while someone relentless honks a car horn in your ear—absolutely infuriating! And as if the power lines weren't enough to ruin any semblance of peace, oh no! There's an actual AIRPORT right next door! Can you even begin to fathom this? Imagine trying to immerse yourself in nature's tranquility, only to be assaulted repeatedly by the obnoxious, deafening ROAR of planes taking off and landing. The sheer gall of placing a nature preserve right next to an airport is utterly unfathomable—a cruel, relentless joke, a brutal slap in the face to anyone seeking solace and quiet! And let’s not ignore the nearby interstate, with its barrage of traffic noise. The supposed symphony of nature? More like a cacophony of engine roars and incessant honking! But wait, there’s MORE! The smells! Oh, do we even need to discuss the smells? A nature preserve should be a sanctuary where you breathe in pure, clean air and the lovely scent of pine and wildflowers wafts through the breeze. But NO! Not here! Here, the air is a thick cloud of offensive odors. In some areas, it smells like a poorly managed landfill! In others, the noxious waft of industrial pollution clings like a suffocating blanket. It’s as if someone took the very essence of urban decay, bottled it up, and generously sprayed it throughout the preserve! It’s an appalling olfactory assault, and it’s simply inescapable! Now, let’s dissect the so-called highlights of this place. Supposedly, bird lovers will find it a paradise—only because the rest of us are left scratching our heads at this total flop! Sure, some bird species might dart in and out, but who can appreciate their beauty when you’re constantly distracted by the omnipresent power lines, the relentless airplanes, and the never-ending interstate traffic? Let’s be brutally honest: even the birds seem fed up! I spotted more than one pigeon casting me a look that screamed, “Can you even believe this ridiculous place?”But the most outrageous aspect of this so-called nature preserve is its absolute lack of hiking trails! Any place that dares to call itself a nature preserve should offer at least a handful of decent paths for desperate visitors to explore! But no! Not here! We couldn't find a single worthwhile hike! The existing trails? Oh please, they’re just shoddy, underwhelming paths that lead nowhere of interest. It’s as if the people responsible for this disaster deliberately set out to provide the most mind-numbingly mediocre experience possible! And don’t even get me started on the view of the bay! Ah yes, the bay, that shimmering body of water that should elevate any visit! But lo and behold, even the bay is a jarring letdown! The view is bland, at best, nowhere near the breathtaking vistas one might hope for! Instead of a panoramic spectacle to uplift the soul, you’re sadly presented with a dull, uninspiring scene that does nothing to elevate your spirits! It’s almost as if the bay itself has given up, resigned to its fate as yet another disappointment in a long string of them.

A relatively peaceful place to have your evening (or morning) walk. One can start at the corner parking lot and walk all the way to the Byxbee Park and round to complete an hour walk. Or you can go the other way keeping the airport on your left, following the bay on you right for another hour long walk. Trails are flat and much less crowded than few other close by places. At times, the sunsets are really gorgeous, but always carry a jacket as it can get windy and chilly any time of the year.

A great spot to look across the bay at the hills surrounding the Bay Area. The boardwalk further out towards the bay is closed but you can walk the first 100 feet or so. Great spot to watch the sunset and enjoy the amazing views and wildlife.

Go there for bird sighting, sunset photos, or even for a casual walk with the dog around the duck pond. Great trail !!

Busy high end shops and restaurants located in Palo Alto, California. It caters to the affluent clients in this plush zip code. It is almost always busy. So far with some economic difficulties elsewhere BUT it does not seem to affect these groups of clients as yet at the present time.

This is a very busy place. Avoid it during the "rush hour" because you will experience close encounters with pedestrians and vehicles. Over the last year, I've experienced rude, impatient people who pull out in front of you. Honking horns like it's going to make the many other people move out of their way. This is the only place in Palo Alto, I've experienced this level of rudeness. People in the area are aware, courteous, and respectful. If you must go here, plan your trip early and leave your rude attitude at home.

Adorable strip mall in Palo Alto. They really have everything here, from acai bowls, to coffee, to bookstores, to yoga, to gift stores, to burger joints, and so much more. Lots of 2.5 hour free parking too!

Lovely collection of stores and restaurants. Parking can be tricky and prices are n the higher end. Lovely shaded areas for walking and sitting. Cupcakes, coffee, fashion, tutoring, and of course, Trader Joe’s.

Has a lot of stores of clothing and foods. So many restaurants. Ample parking. Clean and neat. Love the atmosphere there. Lots of space for patio seating. Must be crowded in the weekends due to standford being there.

Too expensive and I don't particularly like that kind of organic beef. We had burgers and fries and cokes. It was passable.

A great place to shop and meet people but 20th parking lot to town and country. It was a great place to introduce to two colleagues from India client from the bay area and myself.
