I'm drawing a little bit of a blank on the title of the play but it was about two dogs going to the vet. And it was really quite fun. The seating was good. The lighting was quite well done. The acting was really well done! We have never really had a bad experience here. And I will confess to being a theater snob having attended Broadway theaters starting as a teenager. Good job, guys.
The Purple Rose Theater is a delight to our senses and our brain. It is a Jewel and transformative to our community and city. The building is genius Design that embraced a rugged old building and a modern functional expansion new-build. It is a pleasure for every person who spends time in it. Working as Performers or Supportive Staff or Visitors enjoying and experiencing a theatrical Play or Event. Magnificent! Our senses delight with every seat a comfortable view direct and unobstructed, an intimate view of the entire stage and audience seating. All, and all at once. Magnificent! When you take your seat look around, soak it in, and enjoy it. It is a delightful pleasure, the best for fully experiencing and enjoying Theater Performances. My wife and I did on our first visit for Bert & Trixie Visit the Vet. Last night, our second visit, we enjoyed Norma and Wanda. Surprising. Fun. High Energy! We were captivated and thoroughly entertained. We left happy and grateful we have such great theater access near our new home in Chelsea. We LOVE it.
Just a gem 💎 of a place. Today (9/29/24) was our third visit. So what makes it a 💎? Well, it's a doable day trip if your in the tricounty area I-94 Exit #159 5 minutes north. Abundant parking abounds. (free) Thought that only existed in Monopoly. Today's play, which opened on 9/26/24 Was a Jeff Daniels screenplay he wrote from a " up north". Newspaper headline he had read on MLive.Com. He wrote and directed it, his son Luke was the A. D. Both Daniels men, were in the house, plus did a 1/2 hour talk back. Since this was premiere week, they wanted honest open feedback. Office Christmas Party, Grinch in fight with Rudolph, police called was a hoot. Casting was excellent. ( 4 actors) Great lighting Superb blocking Nice cadence, tempo, diction. Some surprises as well. 90 minutes No intermission. Arrive 10-15 minutes early as no access once the curtain rises. Matter of fact come 2 hours early. Eat at the Common Grill, walk the downtown, visit the library. Tickets were a bargain at $43 a seat with a slight $2 fee. Props to Adam Graham and the Detroit News for promoting this play and the Purple Rose. As the back story is/was Mr. J. Daniels considered pulling the plug as rebounding post covid was not easy. Props to the gal's at the Box Office Plus several volunteer ushers. Place is clean and inviting. This venue is, cozy, quaint and just the perfect balance.
This is a great theatre in terms of size, layout and productions. I believe it seats 168 people, The seats surround the stage on three sides. This gives everyone an intimate view of the play. The lobby is nice as are the restrooms. I've been attending performances at the Purple Rose Theatre since the 1990s. Be sure you see a production there.
Fun, cozy, local theater. Staff was easy going. Actors and actresses were very professional. Could hear well. And, could see well most of the time (was on main floor so sometimes actors were in front of me).
I recently had the pleasure of attending a Preview performance of Diva Royal at the Purple Rose Theater, written and directed by Jeff Daniels. I took my mother, and we both had a wonderful time. We lost my father only a couple months ago so just like Jeff said "We needed a laugh". The show is a hilarious and heartwarming comedy. The cast is superb, and Daniels' direction is spot-on. While the show may seem to be tailored to older women, I assure you that it is enjoyable for audiences of all ages and genders. The humor is universal, and the characters are relatable. I was particularly impressed by the Q&A session with Jeff Daniels after the show. He was gracious and insightful, and he shared some great stories about his career. Overall, I highly recommend Diva Royal. It is a well-written, well-acted, and well-directed show that will leave you laughing and feeling good. PS I hope you enjoy the photos I took before and after the show. I understand the rules about video and photography, so I made sure to only take pictures when the show wasn't in progress.
Fantastic theater. A local treasure. But I'm motivated to submit my review now because I just saw their current play, Bert and Trixie Visit the Vet. I wasn't quite certain what to expect from this play when I bought the tickets and I admit to hoping for a merely diverting 90 minutes, but wow was I surprised. The play was hilariously funny and heartwarming. My husband and I and the entire rest of the audience were literally gasping for air from laughing so hard. It ranks as one of the top 3 most funny performances I've ever seen anywhere. Treat yourself and your family and friends to something really special and GO SEE THIS PLAY before it's too late.
The Purple Rose is a great venue and we have enjoyed several performances over the years. Norma & Wanda is not one of them. Bawdy and suggestive can be funny, but this was disapointingly crude. F bombs? Really? We look forward to the quality dialog we are used to, in the next offering.

I have loved their products from the beginning of my life. You cannot beat the simplicity of the products, always in the cupboard ready to go at a moments notice. Sadly my favorite was the chocolate frosting mix that they did away with years back. I have always hoped they would bring it back (if only for a month or two, I would buy cases)
A wonderful part of Michigan's history, good things come from Jiffy! Giving you some of your baking favorites, muffins, brownies, cornbread and much more! Visited here with my 3rs grade class, way back in the far off time of 1993! If you're ever in the area, or would like to known more about Jiffy and the positive impact it's made for Michiganders, I would highly recommend the plant tour! Visit today and see how your baking needs can be made, in a Jiffy!
My visit was perfect. Checked in at first bldg on right. Then went to end of the street on L to get loaded. Check in went relatively fast. Free boxes of cornbread mix was cool. In and out of door quickly. Load was heavy, but loaded correctly. 43,700.
There is a blonde haired woman driving on the 94 highway at 10:53am today while on her phone swerving and hitting the rumple strips several times in a Jiffy Mix truck. Absolutely dangerous and irresponsible. Please address this.
A very bad company has been loading for more than 4 hours and they say, We haven’t loaded you yet, it’s very difficult to load until the end, it’s slow, it’s just a mess. The manager is very rude towards the drivers. It’s better not to go here unless you are willing to wait more than 4-5 hours ..I wouldn’t even give such companies one star; they work very slowly.
On Feb. 14, 2021 I opened 4 boxes of Jiffy Mix, 2 Apple Cinnamon ( sell by 9/12/21 - C 02563B) and 2 Raspberry Mixes (sell by 4/25/21 - C 0116B) added 1 egg, I looked down at the mix and saw 20 bugs crawling around in the mix. So disgusting. My grandchildren were discussed and disappointed. That should not be happening. If I didn't look we wouldn't have seen them until after The bread was cooked ( yuck). Extra spots in the bread. They were big enough to see. LOOK OUT PEOPLE!
Call me crazy but I made sure on a trip from Colorado that I hit the Jiffy tour. I loved it as I’m into going to random interesting places. They got the coolest gear and the tour ain’t half bad!
What a super fun tour! The kids didn't mind the video and the tour was fun. We got gift bags and was able to purchase more. We got a variety pack and was not disappointed 😍. Our tour guide was upbeat and informational.

Very nice with 2 camping areas. Open year round but only on weekends in winter. Beauty trail system and nice sand beach on a fully recreation lake. Boat slip and canoes available. Bathrooms and showers top notch. Check out the site but you can't go wrong staying here.
We camped at Sugarloaf Lake Modern Campground. Great campsites. I didn't catch any BIG fish but had a blast catching more little blue gills than I could count.
We came just after the season ended, so the beach was closed and the picnic tables were stored at the Portage Lake area, but the nature was gorgeous, everything but the (privately owned) vending machines was well maintained. We're definitely planning a return trip! The disc golf course could use a bit of variety though. Every hole is a tunnel through the forest with a dogleg to the basket, the only differences being the width of the tunnel and the severity and direction of the dogleg.
A new happy place. MTB trails are some of the best. Hiking the Waterloo Pinkney trail was gorgeous. Great camping, near Chelsea. I'll be back a few times a year.
My wife and I have been camping here for years. The spots are either grassy or paved. They have some pull through, but most are back in. The beach is amazing. The bathrooms were clean. The office has firewood, and ice for sale. The workers are friendly and helpful. Would like to mention the Host Blake did an amazing job! Definitely stop by and see! Very close to my home.
We camped at the Portage Lake campground. Large sites, lots of trees, very clean restrooms, great beach, 2 kids playgrounds boat launch, new fishing pier.
A very nice, adventurous, wonderful trip. Clean bathrooms Clean cabins, quiet place to stay. Lots of chipmunks.
One of my favorite places to hike in Michigan, full of beautiful forests and wetlands. The Waterloo-Pinckney trail is the main trail in a vast network of trails. You could wander the woods for days.

Vast play/party space for kids & toddlers offers climbing area, a treehouse, slides, games & a cafe.
Slide 1 of 8
This place was great for all 4 of my children, ages 11, 4, and two 2 year olds. The toddlers had a great time climbing and playing on the small toddler things, while my big kids enjoyed the bigger parts and slides. It’s very visually appealing and lots of places for parents to sit as well as tiny chairs and tables for the kids! Snacks and drinks and COFFEE available for purchase too is very nice.
We loved visiting Chelsea Tree House when in town visiting family. There’s plenty of seating, and good food/beverage options. I love my espresso and my Meme loved the sandwich she had.
We love to go on the weekends! Fun for the whole family, my kids are 18 months and 4 years of age and always have a great time. There is plenty of comfortable seating all around the room for watching the kids. There is decently priced simple good foods to order and tables and booths to sit and eat at while watching the kids.
A great place to take your kids! Very clean, a perfect place to let the kids be kids and parent can sit back and relax. Very secure and safe. The owner Chelsie was friendly with the children 5 out of 5 recommend.
Every time I've attempted to take my daughter here they are either closed or closing early. Like today we drove from Jackson to come here because the website stated open until 3 pm only to see a note on the door saying they are closing at 1:30. Would be nice if they put this on the website to avoid a wasted trip. It's a shame. I used to bring my boys here many years ago and it was such a great experience but doesn't seem to be that anymore with these short hours.
The place was very clean! Really Good food! Safe Comfortable atmosphere! We will definitely be returning costumer.
It was a little packed. We did however go on a weekend. It was so cool how they had couches and chairs with tables set up. Like you can relax if you have a newborn. Let your older child run out their energy. I loved how clean the bathrooms were. I loved how the it was broke down in sections for each age group. Although I do think the babies need more crawling room. Just my opinion.
We had a wonderful birthday party for our 3 year old. The host was wonderful and helpful. I will definitely plan future parties here. They took all the food and decoration work out of having a birthday party. Other parents loved it as well. It’s such a fun place for kids and parents to hang out. So ideal for a Saturday morning. Highly recommend if you have little kids.

I’ve been shopping here for years and always find something great in this store. High quality used clothing, shoes purses, coats and art. Check it out!
This little consignment shop is one of my favorite places to shop! The store is beautifully curated with high-quality, name-brand clothing at unbeatable prices. Everything is clean, stylish, and thoughtfully arranged—which makes treasure hunting an absolute joy. I never leave empty-handed; there’s always something unique or special waiting to be discovered. The staff is friendly and helpful without being pushy, and the overall vibe is welcoming and relaxed.
A fantastic shop right off Main Street in the heart of Chelsea! The staff is always friendly and helpful and it’s worth looking through all the racks because great items are added all the time. One of my favorite places to stop by when I’m out and about in town!
Such an amazing little resale shop! Found many treasures here ✨️
Every time I come in from Florida I have to check this wonderful place out. I love the place and the people that work there
Lovely shop. Wonderful experience. Found some really nice, high quality, larger sized pieces.
Great little place with a lot to choose from. It does appear that their prices have gone up quite a bit since a year ago when we last visited the, but so has everything else. Their associates are very helpful and answered all our questions. They often have sales going on so don't hesitate to ask. We like how they have pottery and miscellaneous items throughout the store for sale in addition to the clothing and footwear
I am so happy to have this place! It caters to all sizes and I always find a special treasure! The staff is delightful and it has that special charm. Last week I bought several tops, and a dress that was new with tags. I got so many compliments. Such a great place to have in our town! ~Cassandra Provenzola

This was a neat place! We took my niece here. She loved learning about the animals and getting to hear the sounds they make and seeing the bee hive. She enjoyed the rock exhibit too. Its was a nice stop, especially on a rainy day. There were so many trails to walk one nicer day.
Had a wonderful day walking some of the trails here. Even had time to check out the discovery center. What an amazing place for hiking, learning, and enjoying Michigan's natural beauty!
This place is amazing, for adults and children. Lots to do and VERY handicapped accessible!! They offer a track chair for trails if you call ahead. For free! Beautiful area. Lots of diverse plant and wildlife.
Lots of different pathways with a recent controlled burn (probably last fall) on the one side of the entrance road! Side opposite burn has heavy leaf cover to make for a comfy trail. Also has paved trails to aid accessibility and kid-friendly areas. Felt safe walking by myself around sundown.
The Discovery Center had lots of exhibits to explore. The geology zone was fun and interactive. There was also live frogs, turtles, salamanders, a bird garden and live/active beehive. The kids really enjoyed their time.
Great place to hike and explore! They have 5 or 6 day hike trails ranging from a mile to 5 or 6 miles. There are a few lakes around the center with nice viewing platforms. The highlight is likely the 10,000 year old bog. It's about a mile from the Discovery Center. They also have an awesome loop for 2-8 year olds (my guess as the group that'd love it the most... but works for all kids). It's filled with hands on outdoor related contraptions. Like digging tools and shelter building areas. It's less than .25 mile from the center. The center itself has some cool displays and extremely helpful DNR staff. The Waterloo-pinckney trail goes right through the center. It's about 5-6 miles from both the Green Lake Campground and The Pines Campground. I've seen hikers park here and hike to The Pines for an overnighter. Not sure if that's an official starting point or not though.
Fun and interesting place for the family. My kids enjoyed the topographical sandbox in the geology area. Some of the other exhibits need to be updated or maintained a little better. A good number of animals on display (most stuffed, some live) and a neat bee display. The outdoor space is very nice. We will return.
Lovely place. There are 4-5 trails that start here of different lengths and quality. The center has a pavilion with picnic tables, and a deck that overlooks Cedar Lake. Inside, there are a number of changing interactive exhibits, including animals, information and quizzes. There is also a gift shop! Worth a visit or ten.

A Biker’s Paradise with Scenic Trails and Clear Signage 🚵‍♂️🌿 I had such a great time exploring the DTE Energy Foundation Trail! It’s incredibly bike-friendly, with smooth, well-maintained paths that offer a fun mix of terrain for all skill levels. Whether you’re cruising through forested sections or tackling more challenging loops, there’s something exciting around every turn. One of the things I appreciated most was the clear, easy-to-read signage throughout the trail system. It made navigating super simple and let me focus on the ride and the beautiful surroundings — from wild mushrooms and winding greenery to peaceful open views. If you’re into biking or hiking and love discovering well-marked, well-designed trails, this is definitely a place worth checking out. Fun, scenic, and thoughtfully organized — can’t wait to go back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Phenomenal place to hang out and spend the day. Bathrooms are clean, changing areas are beautiful, and they're building a nice pavilion area- should be ready soon. Great place for family and community. Best mountain biking in lower Michigan, if not all of Michigan.
The DTE Energy Foundation trails are an amazing Trail system. There is something there for every skill level. You can slow roll the greens or get crazy on the blacks.
Great 5-6 mile loop (easy biking, but also hiking/jogging). Lots of different ecosystems along the main trail! Switches from marshy or swampy to grassy plain to cedar trees. Very enjoyable trail.
100% yes. Did the green, red, and blue trails. I'll be back a few times a year. A great system.
hey this place is truly out of this world for trail riding. The drive out to Chelsea is also winding and beautiful. So surreal. Can’t rave enough about how great these trails are built and maintained. There are def some climbs but this park rewards the climb! Lots of a FUN corners and downhills. I consider myself a beginner rider and I can handle the blue trail. You will not regret spending a Saturday traveling here. Blissful, challenging, and a great way to escape into the woods. As I said, the drive out there is a lot of fun for a beautiful summer day and both Waterloo and Pinckney State Parks are nearby for even more activities when you’re done biking. They rotate the directions of the trails counter clockwise and clockwise. This keeps you on your toes and getting more out of the park! We also always stop by the drive-up coffee shop once done. Just a fun way to spend a summer day here in southern Michigan!
First time there and had a great time. Rode Green Lake loop with the wife....her second time mountain biking.....we took it easy and the trail didn't disappoint. Trail was in great shape and the down hill flowy sections were fun...hit a few jumps towards the end. Can't wait to return...well worth the hour drive.
This was my first time to the trail and first time in a mountain bike. Could not have asked for a better experience on the trails! Trails were fast yet technical and had a great mix of climbs and descents to make for a great day. Did 17 miles in all and loved every minute!

The place was super cute and gave super small town vibes. The music was really good and our waitress was super nice and took good care of us. It took a bit for the food but it was definitely worth it!
Cozy little bar restaurant, staff was friendly. I heard the food is surprisingly good although we didn't eat.
Excellent service and food. Very fresh and quick with the appetizers and entree. Moose burger was perfectly cooked medium rare, thick cut fries. All fresh and hot. Only down side might be I thought it was a little hot inside but that's just me, she was comfortable.
We've been coming here for over 12 years now and the food and service used to be so good we had no problem driving over 30 minutes to get there. But unfortunately the last few years the food has been hit or miss usually not bad but, the service / kitchen , lack of wait staff , management whatever has been more of a miss . Hope they can figure it out. But hey drinks are priced well and it is a cool place IMO.
The people are nice, but there was 2 issues with our food, my friend ordered a vegetarian wrap and it came with some meat. and i ordered a well done burger, which came to me as rare. this place used to be quick and precise, now they are just nice people.
The beer and service has been pretty good. The food and cleanliness has been terrible. After the first time we went here, I swore off the food. We went last week and my boyfriends burger looked like a hockey puck. Disgusting. It seems all around really dirty (foreign objects on my boyfriends open straw, keep the straw wrapped or at least the tip wrapped) I don't think we will ever go back.
Where do I begin? We had a group of 6, came in at 7:00 p.m. put our orders in, waited an hour and a half for our food. Apologies were made. We were told they had a high volume of carry out orders to the chef never showed and a bartender was making the food. I ordered the super nachos and weren't have of what the picture is in the ad. Another ordered fish tacos that boast fillets and she got grey colored fish bits in her tacos We were told 50% off of the meal for the inconvenience. Most got 10%, I got full charge including an extra drink I never had, 2 different prices for the same drink. All in all I'd say it was the worst experience with a restaurant I'd ever had. It will be my 1st and last time there. I will spread the news where ever I can as I paid $40+ for the worst meal ever! I wouldn't have given any stars, but it was the only way to get my review written.
We live right down the street, been coming here for over 40 years. If you want a beer, ok, but if you want food, go somewhere else. It's a shame how this place has deteriorated, especially when it used to be so good. I took my wife there for Valentines, we ordered calzones. After waiting for a hour, they came out, and were burnt. I would not have brought them to the table that's how bad they were. The waitress was unapologetic. After being there for over 1&1/2 hours, we finished the one beer we ordered (waitress never asked if we wanted another), and went home. This place needs BAR RESCUE....

Got to come here and ice skate to a dj playing old hits. Had a great time with my sister skating around, not too many people either. We went up to the bar after to grab something to drink. The bartender was professional and kind. Will be back to this awesome place!
Best place in town to watch Detroit sports! I wish the tvs were a little better but that's no big deal. The food is great and the servers are very friendly.
We got the stuffed pizza and seriously the best pizza I've had in a long time. The wings where dare I say 🙊 better than buffalo wild wings🤫. The price was fair and we definitely want to come again sometime soon.
At the rink 1000 pm to watch the game, the door says closed 11 pm Came to watch the 10 pm hockey game, we see people sitting at the glass window overlooking the rink. I called to ask if we could come in to watch the game , I was informed we're slow and we gave last call. I asked. Can we just sit at the overlooking the watch window, his response "nope". Wow. So inconsistent.
Cashless?? No thank you. Give a server my card before placing my order? The new owner(s)/management seems like they're purposely running this place into the ground.
It is a great place if you have time to sit and enjoy the sports on tv or the hockey game that's being played there. If you are not in a hurry.
It always has a decent crowd. It must be the only bar/restaurant on the planet located in a hockey rink with patrons not there for hockey. That's gotta mean something.
Worst service tonight. Indifferent server who showed up every half hour or so to 8 empty glasses and wondered why we were all a little irked. Breakaway would have made another $150 in sales tonight had she been even close to average.

Fantastic distillery. Came here for a bachelor party and the operator (Rob) gave us a great tour and was very welcoming to our group. The drinks here are really good. Highly recommend the maple 🍁 old fashioned. Overall great atmosphere, good people, and good drinks.
This. Was. A. Win. Was surprised to find this place when going somewhere else. Decided to pop in and give it a try. Man was I delighted. Got to talk to the guy who runs the facility, who I loved for the fact that he called himself the dishwasher and just supported the bartenders. They make their own clear spirits in house and the gin they have is an amazing mixing gin. Modifies well while still telling you it's there. They also make their own " chartreuse" a yellow and a green. It's called L'excuse . They are distinctly not allowed to call it chartreuse due to those crazy monks lawyers, lol. Very friendly service. Great (and well poured and strong) drinks. Highly encourage you to come have a few. Bought a bottle of L'excuse for home. It will last forever since you use so little in your own cocktail.
Belated review here! Stopped in to pick up our registration packets for the Ugly Dog Triathlon that they sponsored and stayed for a carb loaded dinner before the race! Outstanding food, clean place, great selection of beer & spirits. Sat at the bar and the bartenders were friendly, talked to us about their spirits, and right on top of everything. Highly recommended - even though I do have a bone to pick with them! I won my age class in the triathlon and was looking forward to taking home one of their prized fifths - but since I was the only entrant in that age group they just gave me a glass! Really? You couldn't spare an extra fifth for an old man completing his first triathlon! LOL!
A great place for a drink with friends! Staff is attentive, friendly, and fun. There are plenty of activities, music and food trucks. This place has it all! Rob makes it his mission for you to feel welcome and enjoy your visit.
The bartender Ashley is one of the best I’ve ever had! Her drinks are incredible, strong, and she’s very personable with super fast service! My favorite bar in the world hands down and it’s all because of Ashley. Come in and check it out!!
We stopped by here on a hunch while heading back to Ann Arbor. What a find! The owners were friendly walked us through the options. I highly recommend the Original Cinn and the Old Fashioned. This is well worth the drive if you're IN Ann Arbor or Jackson. We will be back next time we're up from Indy.
Hands down the most incredible craft cocktail distillery, curated by phenomenal people, who continuously give back to our community. The staff at Ugly Dog are like extended family who pour everything they have into their creations, connections with people, and support of our local community—giving back themselves as well as hosting events to support our neighbors in need. There is a beautiful event space to rent for your private parties. They also seek out rotating food trucks to provide unique eats to town and revamp their cocktail menu frequently to keep things fresh and exciting. Hands down, a Chelsea gem!!
If you are in the area or up for a road trip this place is awesome! Amazing drinks and great staff!! Can not recommend enough!! You need to go!

Pierce Lake is a beautiful course in excellent condition. Hole 8, a par 5 on the front nine, was my favorite — long, scenic, and very well designed. The fairways and greens were in top shape, and overall the course offers a nice medium level of difficulty that keeps it fun and engaging.
Too bad google won’t let you give 0 stars. Played 18 holes Sunday May 21st and the big girl on the beer cart sold me a warm water. Every employee seemed miserable and none were pleasant to interact with. The fairways are mostly crabgrass with quite a few bare spots. They were hard packed clay in some areas and a muddy mess in others. If you like hitting off hard pan this is your place. You need a hammer to get your tee into the tee box. Every one of them were rock hard. The greens look diseased. Some are spongy and wet while others are bone dry. All look like they have fungus and each one putted at a different speed. There are homeless people living on hole 5/6 in tents. If the rents are too high in Chelsea, move out to a golf course.
Pierce Lake Golf Course is easily one of the better public tracks I’ve played in Michigan. It offers a great mix of scenic views, thoughtful design, and excellent value. The course was in very good shape overall. The fairways were well-manicured, and the bunkers were well-maintained—unfortunately, I became pretty familiar with them! The greens were a bit beat up in spots, but still playable and didn't take too much away from the round. The layout is a lot of fun, with a nice variety of holes and tee boxes that challenge you without being overly punishing. I especially enjoyed the back nine—it felt more secluded and had more character. Staff were friendly and helpful for the most part, though the pro shop could use a little more enthusiasm. That said, pace of play was perfect, and the experience overall was smooth from start to finish. For the price, it’s one of the best values in the area. If you're looking for a well-maintained course with a fun layout and a bit of that "up north" vibe, Pierce Lake is absolutely worth the trip. I’ll definitely be back.
Debbie the cart girl is awesome!! She’s very sweet and very inviting! She’s awesome at her job and heard she’s been here a while. PSA to the golf course, PLEASE get tablets or something to leave tips. This golf course only has card readers (90% people don’t have cash), so when we pay card there is no option to tip. People like Debbie are awesome and we should have a way to tip, PLEASE PIERCE LAKE GET TABLETS OR ALLOW QR CODES!!!
What a fantastic course! Easily one of the best Munis I’ve ever played. Conditions were great, greens were SCARY fast, fairways rolled long and the layout was a blast. Front 9 gets you a nice warmup for a challenging back 9. Keep the driver dialed and you’ll do just fine. Cart girl was available, bathrooms were spread out and Marshall and starters were friendly!
this is a great golf course for a real good price!!! the course has an up north field has some woods, but it’s not that narrow of course is well-maintained. I would say immaculate I played the back 9 and I enjoyed it thoroughly great experience highly recommend.
Beautiful course, well kept.
Played here for the first time this year. Really enjoyed the layout and condition of the course was great. Fastest greens on a public course in the area.

Bowling alley
Fun & Games
Slide 1 of 8
Full disclosure, this is (at the time of this writing), an old bowling alley. If you like the golden age of 1970s and 80s Midwest bowling alley motif, this place is for you. It’s cheap (4.50 per person per game for open bowling on a weekday). I took myself and three kids there and bowled two games each for 50 bucks which included shoe rental. The lanes seemed well-maintained for their age and all the equipment worked even though it looked old. My kids had a blast. The food from the grill was pretty decent and relatively inexpensive.
A Strike of a Good Time Embraced a little father-son competition with an afternoon of bowling. While my bowling prowess seems to have mysteriously vanished since my youth (thanks, son, for going easy on me?), we had a blast. Four rounds of bowling and an hour of pool later, we emerged victorious (and slightly sore). This bowling alley offered great prices and wasn't at all expensive, which is always a win for dads. The ball selection, however, wasn't the most extensive. But hey, maybe that's a good thing – less time picking out the perfect ball, more time for strikes (or gutter balls in my case). The interior had a classic vibe that I actually enjoyed. It added to the whole nostalgic experience, like stepping into a time capsule of good times and questionable fashion choices (acid wash, anyone?).
The ball fitter was incredibly insightful and truly dedicated to helping me find the perfect ball for my game—all while staying within my budget. I felt confident and excited about my choice, thanks to their expertise!
Was interested in the Groupon they currently have running, called to be sure they accepted the Groupon on the weekend before purchasing since that stipulation is not listed on the Groupon page. The person who answered said they accept the Groupon any time there is open bowling. It was a great deal so I purchased 3. Attempted to bowl Saturday evening during open bowl and was told they don't accept Groupon's after 5pm on Saturday. Extremely frustrating and 2 upset kids who didn't get to bowl. Seeing if I can seek a refund from Groupon.
Awesome atmosphere and friendly staff. We also had some appetizers that were great.
Went here for an impromptu bowling night. Everything was perfect. We had food from their restaurant, ordered from the bar and they brought it to our lane. The chicken strips and tater tots were perfectly cooked. I love that they have tables and not the normal uncomfortable Brunswick bowling seats that every other bowling has. No complaints.
We absolutely love this place! A hidden gem… Chelsea Lanes is a really chill spot with an old school vibe. It’s exactly what a bowling center should be! The staff is kind, outgoing and helpful. The prices are very reasonable, the food/drinks are decent, and the specials are supurb. It’s our new go-to spot, and we hope nothing changes there!
Nice to have a bowling alley in Chelsea, but they need to have more balls for kids with different hole sizes/distance. Went in Oct. 2025 and had a couple issues (one with the scoring machine, one with ball return) on our one game.

The new Timber Town play area and structure are awesome! All ages of kids can find something fun to do. We love taking our 23 month old granddaughter there!
Timbertown in Chelsea is a great playground for kids under 7. The wooden play structure has plenty to climb on and explore, and it’s easy for parents to keep an eye on them. Everything feels sturdy and well maintained. Only downside — it would be nice if they had regular bathrooms instead of porta-potties.
Great park! Lots of fun for the kids. Clean and lots to do! The design is beautiful. It does need some repair, and it would be nice if there were more trash cans and a better bathroom instead of porta-potties. Otherwise, we loved it!
This is closed to the public. I thought the playset would be open, even if the parking lot was closed. But nope. I hope the construction wraps up, and it reopens soon. My toddler was so excited.
The recent improvements the city has made to the playground, the B2B trail, the paved parking lot, new pavilion, pickle ball courts, etc. have made the park a lot more enjoyable and fun for the community. More benches around the playground would be great for parents.
Great, safe place to bring the kids.
Great place to wear out the kids and have fun with the family. Recently renovated with updated play structures. Also has 2 volleyball courts and pickleball ball courts. Paved parking lot.
The updated parking lot is great, bike access is easy, and the kids love to play at timber town!

UPDATE 9-6-25 The nicest preserve I have ran in by far, in the last year. It is clean, vast amounts of running/walking paths, views of several ponds, lakes and trees .....it is my new favorite preserve to go to. Please try it out. 💯👍 Please watch for ticks on your body...you do not want Lyme disease, been there NOT GOOD 🤔
Perfect for hiking with kids! Gentle hills and easy terrain. Choose a shorter loop on mowed grass or head into the woods along West Lake for a longer hike.
Wide open, sunny, grassy plains that meander alongside farmlands, through forests and along a lake shore. Very beautiful. Approximately 2.5 miles of trails that are not well marked, but if you take a photo of the map at the trail head, more than likely you will not get lost.
Beautiful. Buuut lots of poison ivy especially in the woods. Or at least Google says it was Poison ivy!
One of the best Washtenaw County preserves! Lots of different terrain and a fun hike. Tons of milkweed this time of year and saw some monarch caterpillars.
Very nice place that is relatively quiet and peaceful most days. A good little walk that may take a little over half an hour to complete. A variety of fungi, and wildlife, such as birds, rabbits, and more!
So beautiful! Saw several different species of birds, yellow warbler, american robin, great white egret... The photos speak for the scenery
Never Disappoints for daily trail experience. Consider it a bird sanctuary primarily with semi windy grassy groomed trails.

Amazing hiking and backpack camping place close to Metro Detroit area! I have done day hikes as well. Will highly recommend to any one who wants to enjoy some peaceful time, or hike, or bike!
The rustic trail to Kame Hill was almost 1 mile round trip from the parking lot. Nice little challenge, but not overly difficult...my dogs helped me reach the top! 😊 Beautiful view of Lake Genevieve at the top.
Approx. 24.7m on Waterloo Pinckney Trail. My photos represent Lyndon Park and visuals North to 28m marker. Multiple long boardwalks across Lowland bogs. Beautiful!
Nice little park. Nature trails are short and nice for a stroll. If you want something more challenging the Waterloo-Pinckney Trail is easily accessible for more of a workout.
Nice trails, especially for a quick hike. Not too difficult. Appropriate for kids.
Wonderful natural place to hike, observe birds and recharge.
Checked out the up and down kame trail. This isnt a good choice if you avoid steep climbs or roots and rocks, especially the last climb to the top of the kame. Birds were singing sun was shining and flower buds were abundant. Only took us 25 mins on this out and back trail and we learned what a kame was from the informative signage.
Washtenaw County Park System does a great job, and this is one of the nicest. Nice trails to hike, and a lot of wetlands to see. It is a great place to spend a lazy summer afternoon, or fall afternoon looking at all the colorful trees.
