Our first visit was pretty cool. But on my second trip with my guest on August 14, things took a turn. When we arrived, they informed us that our tour had been canceled. Then, another staff member intervened, and they said we could go ahead after all. I inquired about the golf cart, and she claimed it had just left, which was clearly untrue since we were the only two there. We ended up walking under the scorching 98°F heat to the house. The lady who guided us was friendly and charming, but after that, we found ourselves outside, navigating the area on foot. We had no information, no guide—nothing. We missed out on key exhibits like the oil display. By the time we returned to the visitor center, they informed us they were closing in 10 minutes. I apologized for being late, explaining that we had walked everywhere in the blazing sun and were exhausted. She simply replied, “No problem.” As we left, the next group zoomed by us in golf carts, which made it clear she didn’t really care—especially since we were foreigners. There were no apologies or any acknowledgment of our situation. I left feeling very disappointed. Most of the areas were either being prepped for a reception, under construction, or getting ready for hotel guests. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place and won’t be bringing anyone back.

This is a really interesting place to review… On one hand the staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, the land is well kept. Nature and animals on the property are beautiful. On the other hand, I felt that I was touring my grandmas house listening to stories that don’t make any sense. In fairness to them, I’ve never seen the show Dallas. Also, price is a bit high for the tour especially if you get a 4pm ticket and are unable to walk the property.

If you enjoyed the iconic 1980s television show, or the 2000s version, then you would enjoy visiting here. Reasonably priced, offers a museum with some nice pieces of memorabilia. The tour was fun and we enjoyed the history of the place. The house was filmed extensively for outdoor shots and faithful viewers will recognize all the different spots. It was fun standing by the pool and thinking about all the memorable scenes that took place there. While the interior of the house was not used for filming, it's still fun to check out. Definitely recommend a visit.

Not sure what changed but a few of our friends came to visit after about 25 years, two wanted to take the tour and bought tickets accordingly, rest of us wanted to just hang around and possibly buy some souvenirs, the young man at the counter keeps reminding "you have to buy tickets to be at the property", I asked even to buy souvenirs, the young man affirmed that we must ..we left with the impression that we are not welcome here. We could not but help wondering if it has anything to do with our skin color....

The tour is definitely not worth $30. No TV show or production props other than a couple of rooms in the house. It’s really about a 20-30 minute tour. Cardboard cutouts of the cast. The property is vast but not a lot to look at other than a couple of long horns, miniature ponies, 1 horse, 1 donkey. There was some renovations going on no food or drinks other than vending machines. Even after renovations are complete and the restaurant is open the tour will still not be worth anything more than about $5. Unless ownership can figure out how to make it better.

It was nice to see the house from the Dallas TV show, but honestly that’s all there is. The ticket costs $30 per person and feels overpriced no real ranch tour, no interactive experience, just walking through the house, looking at a few rooms for a couple of minutes, and that’s it. In hindsight, I would have skipped it underwhelming and not worth the money.

I brought my grandmother here today, as something special to do together before I move away. She just had her 85th birthday, and uses a walking cane after knee surgery complications. A shuttle drives visitors from the welcome center to the mansion, so we were told it would bring us back. But instead, at the end they opened the mansion doors for everyone to exit, and said we’ll have to walk back. It was very hot and we also weren’t offered any water / refreshments. Then we discovered restrooms were being renovated so we would’ve had to go back outside to different restrooms. I liked the history, but we weren’t fans of the show so we only came for a scenic tour. $30 per person was way overpriced for the overall experience. A comment posted a couple years ago said admission was HALF that price. Which seems more fair.
