Arbor Hills Nature Preserve

Nature preserve
Nature & Parks
Arbor Hills Nature Preserve is a 200-acre park in West Plano, offering a variety of outdoor activities. The preserve features 3 miles of paved hiking trails, a playground, picnic pavilion, and public restrooms. For those seeking solitude, there are also 3 miles of unpaved trails that wind through the property's hidden pathways. Cycling enthusiasts can explore off-road cycling trails in the southern part of the preserve.
I visited Arbor Hills today. I used to frequent this area just to spend time in nature and enjoy my walk. I haven’t been to this area in a while until today because I moved out of the area. But today was a special day because I decided to come back and visit this beautiful nature preserve. Indeed, Arbor Hills is a nature preserve. As you’re walking this season, you will notice the beautiful grassy plains swaying in the wind. There are an abundant of trails that you can take to explore different areas of the preserve. It is a great place to casually ride your bike and is also a popular destination for photography. The nature preserve also has a well equipped playground for children to play and bathrooms for men and women and a family bathroom. There is also a picnic area that you can reserve to have gatherings. Arbor Hills is a great place to walk your dog as they provide poop bags along the main path. After finishing your walks and explorations, treat yourself to some ice cream from the ice cream truck that usually is parked near the restrooms in the afternoons, ready to happily serve customers.

This park is on a smaller scale, but diverse. There are three types of habitats, with various fauna and flora. The paths are well maintained, easily accessible by strollers, or wheelchairs. There are bike trails. We walked the cca 2-mile loop in about 40 minutes, but there are more paths for longer walks. There are occasional elevation changes. The restrooms are not the best looking, but had soap, water and toilet paper. The best feature is the ice cream truck positioned at the parking lot. The parking lot is quite large, for about 100 vehicles.
Jana M — Google review
I visited Arbor Hills 2 days ago. I discovered this area for walking and spending some good times in the evening. This place is good for enjoying sunset, walking, walking dogs, jogging, and cycling, and it is kids friendly. It is preserved by nature. You will pass by exotic species of vegetation, bridge, creek, playground, etc! They also have an observation tower where it is located in high elevation, and you can see beautiful sunset and view from there!! There is an abundance of trail, where you'll discover beautiful nature. All the trails will meet at one end, finally! It is a great destination for cycling, chilling out, and even photography!! They have a kids friendly playground, and they have safe and clean washrooms. You can also reserve/book a picnic spot to have a union or gatherings. This place is pet friendly as well. After finishing the long walk, sighting a best view, you can also treat yourself to some refreshing ice cream 🍨 usually parked near the main parking area or near restrooms, mostly in the afternoons. (P.s. I have spammed the photos for you guys, enjoyyyy 😁😁)
Ishika W — Google review
Beautiful hiking/running spot. My favorite place for a pre-sunset stroll in nature. Takes about 30 minutes for the full main loop that includes the viewpoint.
Luqman D — Google review
Beautiful and serene. The concrete paths are nice but the unpaved trails are even better. Early am or late evening provides amazing photo opportunities
Terry J — Google review
Great walking area. Good for leashed dogs. Concrete walkways and trails if you want a more nature experience. There is shade on much of the walk. Large loop is approximately 2 miles.
Dann A — Google review
Arbor Hills Nature Preserve is an excellent spot for a leisurely walk or a jog as it has three miles of paved trails. Also, another three miles unpaved natural surface trails offer a more rugged experience,
K H — Google review
Beautiful. Easy parking. Always feels family friendly and pup friendly. Love doing photo shoots here and my clients are always happy with the location choice.

Heritage Farmstead Museum

Museum
Event venue
The Heritage Farmstead Museum in Plano, Texas, is a preserved Victorian farmhouse that offers an immersive experience of early 20th-century farm life on the Blackland Prairie. The museum showcases the daily activities and farming practices of the Farrell family, who were early settlers in the area. Visitors can explore the farmhouse, old outhouses, and a single-room schoolhouse while learning about sheep and wheat farming from costumed docents.
They have great holiday events that the family loves. And they do NOT price gouge like other places. All the prices there are very fair and reasonable, kudos to the management and owner for this. Truly shows they care about everyone enjoying the event, drinks, snacks and toys sold there. And when it’s not a holiday, they have animals walking around you can visit and take pic with. A great place to visit.
D K — Google review
Great spot for the preschool ahead kids to see some animals and explore farm life. They had a story time, a tractor ride, a play area with small ride on toys and play food, etc.,a cow milking simulator and more. The tour through the original farm house was great for adults, it was cool to see some Plano history. The parking lot is very small and there's some construction going on right around it, so if it's a busy time, be sure to look ahead for another parking option close by, they have info on their website.
Kristi M — Google review
I took a group of adults with special needs. It was a rainy day so the farm was all ours. The volunteers were so accommodating and friendly. They helped us find a place to eat our picnic lunch under cover and even brought us 3 umbrellas to use! Good people and a good experience.
Sherri R — Google review
Lights on the Farm held at Heritage Farmstead Plano was absolutely the best experience for the price. We attended on Frozen theme night so on top of all the amazing light displays and photo opportunities there were all the Frozen Disney characters doing meet and greets, sing alongs and taking photos with the kiddos. Santa was on hand for a personal one on one and pictures were offered. In the middle of the farm you can gather around fire pits and make snores with your group, so much fun!! This is a walk through lighted Christmas experience you don’t want to kiss next year!!
Kim H — Google review
I had an amazing time at the Heritage Farmstead Museum's Light on the Farm event! The Christmas atmosphere was truly enchanting, making it perfect for families and children. My child was wide-eyed with wonder at every corner of the event. It was a fantastic Christmas experience 😊
Hana T — Google review
Located in Plano, the Heritage Farmstead is a treasure in the heart of the Texas Blackland Prairie. The museum is open Thursday through Saturday 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. To understand all that the Farmstead has to offer, I suggest visiting the website. I have visited the Farmstead many times over the years but not to visit the museum. I have visited to attend events. According to the website, the 4.5 acre site is the perfect setting for parties, civic events, and corporate events. I highly recommend renting the Pole Barn. Check out the tumbleweed chandelier hanging from the rafters. I have visited during the holidays for Lights on the Farm and highly recommend it. The lights get better every year. Santa is usually there, along with hot cocoa and s’mores. Adults and children will equally enjoy a visit to the Farmstead, whether for an event or to visit the museum. There are lots of farm animals, wagon rides, and a lovely gift shop. In November 2024, the Heritage Farmstead Museum received the Community Partner of the Year award from the Plano Chamber of Commerce in recognition of 50 years of service and preserving the history of Plano. Highly recommend a visit!
Christine K — Google review
Such a great activity. I love historical places that show how life was before the modern age took over. There are several buildings that are original to the property, some that were relocated here, and others that are replicas. There are some farm animals: chickens, goats, sheep, pigs, and a donkey. You can buy feed for the chickens, but this is not a petting zoo so they have signs posted warning against petting or feeding them. The entry fee to explore the grounds was $5, and the guided tour of the house was an additional $5. I encourage everyone to go see this and support the local history.
Jessica H — Google review
I had heard about Heritage Farmstead Museum but never had a chance to visit until this year. They have this holiday lights event at night and we decided to come with the immediate family. We had a party of 12 and we really enjoyed our time there. The parking was easy, the Museum had staff outside directing traffic. Inside, there were plenty of fun photo sets for both kids and grownups. They were selling mini donuts, hot chocolate and even s'more sets that you could cook over these small sections with little fire pits. Everyone had a blast. We will need to come back to see what the place looks like in the morning one of these days.

Downtown Plano, located on 14th and 15th Street between Jupiter and Central Expressway, offers a charming blend of old-world charm and modern amenities. This historic district boasts an array of dining options, coffee shops, and diverse stores. The DART Red Line runs through the area with easy access to Dallas and future connectivity to DFW International Airport via the Silver Line. Recognized as one of the top downtowns in America by Livability.
Great music venue for new artists. Clean beautiful and safe downtown. Has a nice community park. Their October community dinner for 200 is always a cool party to be a part of. Lots of food options and a farmer’s market is great. Don’t forget to stop by Green Vine Market - really good grocery store. 🌿🫑🥑🥭

We walked around downtown. Loved the feel. Walked around the exterior of the interurban museum , we did not go in due to timing. Outside displays were interesting, I learned a lot. Downtown has a great vibe. Again, everyone is so friendly. My grandson has a Sumner job in Plano, he says everyone is so nice and proud to be from Plano and Texas. I think that comment goes a long way. Have fun.
Manes L — Google review
Pretty downtown with good eateries. We enjoyed the rooftop of urban pizza and matcha at fourteen eighteen. It doesn’t have as many shops as I would’ve liked though. All in all a cute spot to walk around.
Kailee B — Google review
Cute little historic downtown. The boutiques and eateries were stuffed with great retail items and wonderful menu options. Spend a few hours enjoying history with the owners of Main street shops and restaurants. Purchased a handbag, earrings, summer shawl and a wonderful recipe book for newlyweds at Lyla’s and enjoyed coffee and pastries from the local bakery.
Pam M — Google review
One of my favorites areas that I’ve found in the Dallas area since moving here two years ago. Good restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and other shops, with more than one public parking lot so plenty of space to park within a max of a block or two to walk if street parking for a particular place full. My favorites are: 32 Degrees (rooftop bar above urban crust pizza), 1418 Coffeehouse & Better than Sex (dessert shop). There’s also a plaza area and frequent events there. The whole area is cute and feels well kept and safe to walk around. My favorite time to go is during holiday season when everything is decorated and lit up😊

This is an awesome place for dates or to hang out with friends. Easily accessible by train and lots of locally owned businesses to support. Or if you are looking for a free date, the park is beautiful. There are also events and community theater performances on occasion, so check the downtown plano website for the calendar.
Charlotte B — Google review
Beautiful place to walk around with fun events year round, with plenty of easily accessible parking. The square is also wheelchair accessible. We visited this weekend to see the Dickens Christmas event! Carolers, Christmas-themed ballet and hip hop performances, and theater performances. Everyone was friendly and the shop owners in the district are always happy to chat and give recommendations. Definitely stop by for a few hours if you’re in town!

I had a blast at downtown Plano! They were having a Halloween festival, and my family love the time we had there. Definitely will be going back to try several restaurants down there.

Interurban Railway Museum

Museums
The Interurban Railway Museum, situated in the original Plano Station building, offers a glimpse into the forgotten era of the Texas Electric Railway. The museum's collection includes artifacts and photographs chronicling the history of this electric railway system that operated like a streetcar from the 1920s until its decline in 1948. Visitors can also enjoy interactive displays demonstrating electricity principles and a miniature electric-train display showcasing rural Plano.
Brilliant museum, free but worth to pay a visit. Small but full of knowledge and experimentation. The front desk is nice and warm welcoming. My son really like here😃
SIYU G — Google review
Our museum visit today was nothing short of amazing! The moment we walked in, we were greeted by our guide, an incredibly knowledgeable and warm-hearted Iranian lady named Farangis. Her passion for history truly brought the history of rail road in Texas to life! She filled us in on fascinating details, answering every question we had with enthusiasm and depth. Her kindness and engaging storytelling made the entire experience unforgettable. We left feeling inspired and with a newfound appreciation for this important chapter of Texas history. Highly recommend this tour!
Saeid F — Google review
My youngest son loves trains and he saw this on the map when we were looking for places to visit in Plano. The excitement on his face when we walked was amazing. Also its free and you can leave a donation if you want to purchase books and item. A most definitely visit...
Patrick — Google review
Finally went inside after a few attempts where it was closed. Nice museum for a local visit. We toured the train car too! Suggested donation is 1$ per kiddo and 2$ per adult.
Eric L — Google review
Story time is a really fun experience for the children, the tour guide was extremely knowledgeable. He is passionate about history. This is a place you must visit if you live nearby. There’s nothing else like this. It’s very unique.
K T — Google review
Great museum! It's ducational, free and worth the suggestion donation. My kiddos loved it. A guy there gave us an awesome tour.
Russell B — Google review
We had such a great time visiting here. This building is historic to Plano and was built in 1908! The people working here were so fun and knowledgeable about the site and everything to do with trains. Even though the building is small, it felt like a full on museum experience with all the information and interactive stations they offered. We learned so much! Seeing the items that were used back in the early 1900's really made me feel in awe of how hard working people were back then and didn't even know it! We have come such a long way, technology wise, in the last hundred years it's almost unbelievable. Thank you for offering this to everyone!
F G — Google review
Quick place to visit and spend time for about an hour. Informative and interesting for kids and adult as well. You will also see an old railway car and see the inside of it. There are cool electric projects on display too. Better to have few $ for donations. Place is kept clean and organized. Parking can be done in the DART parking lot or across the street.

We had an amazing time. This was my husband’s 68th birthday and Go Ape made it fantastic. All of the kids came and the future daughter in law and we laughed and cheered each other on through each obstacle course. Thank you so much for making the whole day fun.
Dee J — Google review
They made my son's 17th birthday unforgettable! Nestled inside Oak Point Reserve in Plano, the zip line and hanging obstacle course were a total thrill. The guides were excellent—attentive, friendly, and safety-focused. A perfect mix of nature, adventure, and care. Highly recommend!
Israel T — Google review
Fabulous! Went with my 10 year old grandson and we both had a great time! Challenging course is amazing! Staff is excellent, friendly and knowledgable. We did the full course, including the Tarzan swing which I admit I was hesitant about. The staff was encouraging and patient and I loved it. Highly recommend ! My grandson and I are already planning when we can go again!
Susan L — Google review
A fantastic time! The staff were incredibly friendly and patient, and the variety of obstacles kept things exciting. Plus, the views are absolutely stunning—totally worth it!

Carolyn's Review................... Ok so I went here on Friday, August 8, 2024 at 4 pm. It was a day date and I actually had a lot of fun. I will admit, it's nothing like I expected. In some ways, it was more than I expected. Which was good. In other ways, it was less, which was ok as well. What I liked the most is that they require everyone to go through a semi-training course for safety reasons. It's a good thing they require this. Otherwise, I would have been clueless. I was surprised to see how far up we actually were on some of the obstacle's. My favorite is the zip line. Especially since it was so darn hot! Now, typically I keep my reviews positive. However, I have to be honest. But our guide/teacher wasn't the friendliest. Even worse, he just left us on the course near half way through. He just took off and didn't let us know he was leaving nor let anyone else know. So another instructor saw I was struggling really bad on one of the obstacle's. Primarily because I was hollering for help because I'm outta shape and my hands and arms were shaking pretty badly. So this guy started encouraging me telling me I was gonna be ok and take deep breaths. Telling me I'm awesome, etc. It sure made a huge difference. I really liked the 2nd guy. We stopped after the 3rd obstacle because we were exhausted. But only had two left anyways. We were content with our choice because it was the half way mark anyways. I recommend anyone try this place. Prices are reasonable and it's lots of fun. Just be prepared to get a little dirty and don't forget to bring good gloves! Check it out!!!!
Carolyn U — Google review
It’s was the perfect day for this. Loved all the stations, my favorites were the zip lines.
Nayeli B — Google review
So much fun for my son’s 12th birthday!! He and his dad loved it! It’s the right amount of challenge mixed with easier obstacles and zip lines. I chickened out at the first obstacle and was refunded my money. Definitely appreciate that! The guides or helpers were attentive and friendly and encouraging. They were super patient as they interacted with all the guests there that morning. If we lived in Dallas, we’d come again! Now we know to check out other locations around the country! Thanks for a fun afternoon!!

Located at The Shops at Willow Bend in Plano, Texas, the Crayola Experience is a vibrant and interactive family destination spanning over 60,000 square feet. Visitors can engage in 22 hands-on attractions, including live manufacturing shows demonstrating how crayons are made, personalized crayon naming and wrapping activities, and the opportunity to star in their own coloring pages. Families typically spend several hours exploring this colorful and immersive experience.
Well worth the trip! We drove 4.5 hours just for this and it was beyond worth it! We spent 2.5 hours here the first day and upgraded to annual passes so we could come back a second time. Our kids have thoroughly enjoyed every second of time here!!
Vanessa B — Google review
Thought all of the activities would be open over the weekend but they weren't. Giving three stars because it was still fun but I wouldn't have come if I knew activities weren't going to be available. That said the crayon labeling and making the dinosaurs out of clay was cool. They had a small play area that most of the kids gravitated to. The scribble pets were out when we got there. The cashier offered a small drink or popcorn for our vouchers instead. Overall kiddo had fun but the price for what was actually available to do wasnt worth it for us.
Christie W — Google review
This was our second time here visiting from Houston. Trust me you will want to become a kid here all over again. There are many fun and engaging activities for the kids and who doesnt love colors! Its definitely expensive but definitely worth the visit. They also give you crayola bags with some tokens and a card. You can make personalized crayons, color, paint, clay, meet crayola characters, silly selfies, moulds and more! Plus a decent size play area for the kids. There is also a cafe on site. Restrooms were clean and many stalls. We exited through the gift store and it was a kid’s heaven. We bought a tin box for $25 and you can fill it with unlimited crayons and markers which is so cool! There are such cute items there which can be hard to resist to not buy! If you visit Dallas, definitely check out this place. We visited on the Memorial day weekend in the morning. The place started to get busy in the afternoon. We advance purchased our tickets but there was no line to purchase tix.
Shenila M — Google review
We came here on a Saturday (5/10), my son had a great time coming with his school last year...So we decided to come back. Unfortunately, this wasn't a good experience at all. Lets begin with the stations and exhibits - most of the stations were malfunctioning and numerous exhibits were closed. This is disappointing, considering this a Saturday - for high volume traffic... The workers that were there, wasn't the most friendly either - seems as they were HS students at their part-time job (speculation...). Overall, Customer service wasn't there at all... I hope this business can get it together...I can see the potential, and I know if all the exhibit were open - this place could be great!
IntegrityFirstAthletics O — Google review
Used to love this place. Came here yesterday for my daughter’s birthday. Couldn’t believe one adult ticket had gone up to $32. Was even worse when we got in and dang near every machine was broken “under maintenance” was pretty disappointed. Used to love this place but we won’t be back. Also the adult tickets should come with a kids ticket. Probably why it was so dead in there. Place used to be packed. I almost asked for a refund.
Haley H — Google review
Pretty cool place for kids. My daughter who is more artsy and younger enjoyed it more than my preteen son, so I would recommend it for younger more coloring fans. I also recommend buying tickets online or a Groupon. It is expensive- for 3 people it was about $80 dollars entry. The entry comes with 2 coins which you can use to make your own crayon label and get magic clay but once you use the 2 you can purchase more for a fee. You also have get a coupon for a free scrubie- we got pterodactyl as it was the one they were giving. Kids could also make they own shaped crayon and lots of crayon crafts. The is also a crayon themed play place up to age 12. The place over all is colorful and clean- they have employees actively cleaning up coloring stations and tables. We spent hours there so that was worth it. Just note that it is in a dead mall. It’s actually really eerie. There is no food court or outside restrooms close by. So eat before or after you go unless you can do with a pretzel from a stand. I give it four starts just because it is a bit overpriced. $7 for a icee, money for more coins for experiences, and also if you want to use the mining activity you have to pay money for a bag of dirt- $9 min which adds up with multiple kids. overall it’s a fun outing especially if you’re close by.
Kristy L — Google review
This place is so cute! We loved all of the different stations available for our kiddos to explore, create, and be imaginative! Everything was very clean, and well maintained. The staff were so nice, helpful, and patient with the kiddos. It was a little disappointing that the cafe was closed, but they at least had the snack station open. We really enjoyed that they had playgrounds for the toddlers, and the bigger kids.
Tanyah C — Google review
Loved it..think this grown up had more fun than the 8 yr old. Only con is a couple of the experiences would have gone better if they had more people working and you didnt stand so long in line.

Southfork Ranch, located just a 40-minute drive from downtown Dallas in the suburb of Parker, Texas, is a must-see for fans of the iconic TV show 'Dallas.' This picturesque ranch served as the backdrop for the Ewing family's escapades and now offers guided tours of the mansion where visitors can explore J.R.'s bedroom and see memorabilia from the show. The ranch also functions as a working ranch, offering activities like horseback riding lessons and guided trail rides.
My brother was in town for a visit. Went for the tour. What a great experience. Everyone we encountered went beyond expectations to accommodate us! The sweet girl in the gift shop offered us a wheelchair upon noticing that the walk might be too difficult for my brother. Danny the gentleman who drove the golf cart was incredible! He already dropped off for the tour but insisted on making another trip for us and the wheelchair! He was so friendly and came to pick us up too! Thank you all for making this so enjoyable!
Kathy H — Google review
Our first visit was pretty cool. But on my second trip with my guest on August 14, things took a turn. When we arrived, they informed us that our tour had been canceled. Then, another staff member intervened, and they said we could go ahead after all. I inquired about the golf cart, and she claimed it had just left, which was clearly untrue since we were the only two there. We ended up walking under the scorching 98°F heat to the house. The lady who guided us was friendly and charming, but after that, we found ourselves outside, navigating the area on foot. We had no information, no guide—nothing. We missed out on key exhibits like the oil display. By the time we returned to the visitor center, they informed us they were closing in 10 minutes. I apologized for being late, explaining that we had walked everywhere in the blazing sun and were exhausted. She simply replied, “No problem.” As we left, the next group zoomed by us in golf carts, which made it clear she didn’t really care—especially since we were foreigners. There were no apologies or any acknowledgment of our situation. I left feeling very disappointed. Most of the areas were either being prepped for a reception, under construction, or getting ready for hotel guests. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place and won’t be bringing anyone back.
Sinem T — Google review
This is a really interesting place to review… On one hand the staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, the land is well kept. Nature and animals on the property are beautiful. On the other hand, I felt that I was touring my grandmas house listening to stories that don’t make any sense. In fairness to them, I’ve never seen the show Dallas. Also, price is a bit high for the tour especially if you get a 4pm ticket and are unable to walk the property.
Chris N — Google review
If you enjoyed the iconic 1980s television show, or the 2000s version, then you would enjoy visiting here. Reasonably priced, offers a museum with some nice pieces of memorabilia. The tour was fun and we enjoyed the history of the place. The house was filmed extensively for outdoor shots and faithful viewers will recognize all the different spots. It was fun standing by the pool and thinking about all the memorable scenes that took place there. While the interior of the house was not used for filming, it's still fun to check out. Definitely recommend a visit.
Hugo S — Google review
have a friend visiting who wanted to visit the site of the show "Dallas" and I couldn't say no! When you've lived in Dallas all your life, you forget about so many places that when a visitor reminds you of all the wonderful places Dallas has to offer - it is nice. We drove over on a Saturday afternoon in August, so it was HOT. The site has lots of shade trees and most of your time is spent inside. You can park right outside the gift shop (if they're not too busy, you can park in front, only a few steps away). When you enter the gift shop it is very spacious, not crowded with things, but several options to take home. My friend bought a Tshirt. We saw a man buying a cowboy hat, as well. So much to see! You purchase your tickets right inside the gift shop and they let you know exactly when the next tour leaves. He told us it would be 5 minutes so we rushed thru the museum, only to stand in line at the door at the end, so if you have 5 minutes - take it and enjoy the museum on your way to the back for the tour. Lots to see on the walls along the way. We all loaded onto a tram to take us over to the house. We were seated in a large room and given the history of the land - which, being a local, I was surprised to know it had changed hands so many times! The show was on during a time in my life when I didn't watch much tv at all, so I was barely familiar with the cast (with the exception of Patrick Duffy, whom I had met downtown one time during filming there, and of course Larry Hagman). But still, it brought back memories of another time, and it was fun to hear the other people in the group talking about their experiences with the show. There was a good group with us, and most seemed from another country. The speaker who addressed us in the beginning with the history asked if anyone needed translation before she began. Three people needed French translation so she handed them some papers so they could follow along in their language. We finished the tour and were on our own to walk back to the gift shop. We stopped to look at the cars they drove and beyond that in another room was a big screen playing the 2012 remake. It looked like a good show from the few minutes I saw of it. Tickets for my friend and I were $30 each but she said we get a discount, I'm not sure how much because she treated! But it's because we're over 60, I believe. Hey, I don't mind :) Great tour, enjoyed it all and the speaker was friendly and stayed with us as we all went every which way. She engaged with us and smiled a lot. Go check it out!

The tour is definitely not worth $30. No TV show or production props other than a couple of rooms in the house. It’s really about a 20-30 minute tour. Cardboard cutouts of the cast. The property is vast but not a lot to look at other than a couple of long horns, miniature ponies, 1 horse, 1 donkey. There was some renovations going on no food or drinks other than vending machines. Even after renovations are complete and the restaurant is open the tour will still not be worth anything more than about $5. Unless ownership can figure out how to make it better.
Douglas J — Google review
It was nice to see the house from the Dallas TV show, but honestly that’s all there is. The ticket costs $30 per person and feels overpriced no real ranch tour, no interactive experience, just walking through the house, looking at a few rooms for a couple of minutes, and that’s it. In hindsight, I would have skipped it underwhelming and not worth the money.
Rubi B — Google review
I brought my grandmother here today, as something special to do together before I move away. She just had her 85th birthday, and uses a walking cane after knee surgery complications. A shuttle drives visitors from the welcome center to the mansion, so we were told it would bring us back. But instead, at the end they opened the mansion doors for everyone to exit, and said we’ll have to walk back. It was very hot and we also weren’t offered any water / refreshments. Then we discovered restrooms were being renovated so we would’ve had to go back outside to different restrooms. I liked the history, but we weren’t fans of the show so we only came for a scenic tour. $30 per person was way overpriced for the overall experience. A comment posted a couple years ago said admission was HALF that price. Which seems more fair.

Restaurant
Legacy Hall is a cutting-edge culinary and entertainment destination in Texas, offering a diverse range of dining options from over 20 artisanal food stalls, full-service bars, an on-site craft brewery, beer garden, and live music stage. This innovative space allows families and friends to come together to savor the freshest local ingredients prepared by talented local chefs and artisans. With indoor and outdoor restaurants, bars, patios with outdoor seating across three floors, Legacy Hall provides an unforgettable experience for visitors.
If you’re not sure what you’re in the mood to eat, Legacy Hall has you covered with a variety of options all under one roof. It’s perfect for groups, date nights, or spontaneous foodie missions. Families with small children will especially love it—kids can burn off energy on the outdoor patio while parents get a small taste of nightlife. The atmosphere is lively and family-friendly, with multiple bars and a phenomenal patio space when the weather cooperates. It’s the kind of spot that works for almost any occasion. The hibachi grill is 🔥💯; I ❤️ the fried rice - hibachi sauce with steak & shrimp add the yum yum sauce. Roots also has phenomenal banana pudding. Unfortunately during a recent visit - I’m giving legacy hall a 2- star rating due to the service at the bar. I was hoping to try something new and asked what options were available beyond my usual go-to. The bartender listed on my receipt responded with what I can only describe as passive-aggressive energy. No effort was made to upsell or even offer a drink menu. What could’ve been a fun, exploratory experience turned into an uncomfortable one. Unfriendly and seemingly biased service like this can really take away from an otherwise great venue.

I can't report on the food as I didn't eat there due to my allergies, but I wasn't there for food anyway. I was there for the last performance by tribute band Forever Mac! They were amazing, and Legacy Hall's sound production was incredible. I can definitely recommend the live music!

Have been here before but never for a Music event. We came to see the Chris Stapleton tribute and it was awesome. We enjoyed their music, the set up, the food options and how organized it was. I just mention we paid for a table and there seemed to be some people that were just I. The area and stayed., we literally had a family dancing around with their kids right in front t of us (not in the dancing area). We missed a good part of the initial intro of the concert 🎶 Eventually they weren’t anywhere to be seen so it made us think they just were hanging out without admission. After that their whole experience was great. We really enjoyed the whole event. Will definitely return.

Legacy Hall in Texas is straight-up a foodie paradise with main character energy — like, imagine a place where your indecisive self can grab gourmet tacos, truffle fries, and craft beer *all at once* without judgment. The vibes are top-tier: live music floating through the air, rooftop seating that hits different when the sun sets, and a crowd that’s just the right mix of chill and fun. Whether you're on a casual date, third-wheeling your friends, or just there for the vibes and vibes only, this spot delivers every time. It’s giving “weekend plans sorted” energy — and honestly, I’m already planning my next trip back.

Legacy West gets a four-star rating from me. It's a cool, trendy place with the best restaurants, offering amazing food of all types. My only issue is that it has basically little to no seating, which can be a hassle. Despite that, it's still a fantastic spot to enjoy great meals and a lively atmosphere. 4 stars!

Legacy Hall is known for their fun events! They really go all out. I went to their Mardi Gras celebration and it was a total blast! Live music which was so amazing, face painting for the kids, lots of great food choices and just a great vibe.

Foodie Heaven with Live Vibes 🎶🌮 Tried Velvet Taco, Vegan Vibrationz, and Chilangos Tacos—and every bite delivered! The place has an amazing atmosphere, with tons of food options no matter the time of day. Big win? Order with a QR code and they bring your food to your table! Tables were cleaned quickly, and the staff kept everything running smooth. The outdoor area had live music, and the indoor space is super kid-friendly with plenty of room. Trendy, family-friendly, and full of flavor—definitely coming back to explore more stalls!

We spent here a very good time during a Elthon John tribute. The guys who were performing here were amazing. They made all people to be singing despite the rain menace. A very nice show. A very good moment with family. We bought tickets in advance and it was easy and fast. There are other tributes planed during the year. You should come and enjoy this high quality musical shows.

Oak Point Park and Nature Preserve

Mentioned on
10 lists
Nature preserve
Nature & Parks
Oak Point Park and Nature Preserve is a sprawling 800-acre natural oasis located in Plano. It offers nearly 13 miles of trails, including 3.5 miles of concrete trails and five miles of soft surface trails that wind through creeks, prairies, and wetlands. The park also features an amphitheater, pavilion, and a small lake with a fishing dock.
This is easily one of the best trails in North Dallas. The unpaved trail is about 8 miles long, not too difficult, with gentle elevation changes to keep it interesting. There are plenty of different paths to take, including shortcuts and alternate routes, so you can adjust your hike based on how much time or energy you have. The trail does get narrow in places, and some of the greenery spills onto the path, so it’s a good idea to keep an eye on your dog to avoid any scratches. You’ll also run into plenty of birds and bugs, so come prepared. IMPORTANT: there’s quite a bit of poison ivy along some of the trail. Be cautious, especially if you have kids or pets with you. There are some nice spots to climb down to Rowlett Creek, and a few areas you could rope swing if you’re in the mood for it. The trail is rarely crowded and has a good amount of shade, which makes it great for hotter days. The paved side of the trail wraps around a beautiful lake that’s perfect for fishing. In some areas, you can also ride horses, which is a unique bonus for this part of town. Overall, it’s a peaceful, scenic spot that has a little something for everyone.

We really enjoyed our visit to Oak Point Park and Nature Preserve! It’s such a beautiful and peaceful place to get away from the city for a while. The scenery is gorgeous, and we loved exploring the dirt trails that wind through nature. Perfect spot for a relaxing walk, fresh air, and enjoying the outdoors. We’ll definitely be coming back!
Samuel-Varvara H — Google review
The length of this trail is great and the scenery is beautiful. Ran a 5K through here with AMPT & I’ve just come with friends to enjoy running and walking the trail, even on the hottest days - it’s just that peaceful and beautiful. It’s a larger trail that goes pretty far out with just a lot of nature (the best), but I would suggest doing it with a buddy. Sometimes doing the whole trail alone as a lady doesn’t feel that safe. This is my favorite trail in Dallas though.

Had an amazing experience at Oak Point Park and Nature Preserve! 🌳🌞 The walking trails, peaceful creek, and natural beauty all around made it the perfect escape into nature. Clean, well-maintained, and so refreshing — a great place to walk, relax, or just breathe in the fresh air. Highly recommend for nature lovers! 🌿💚

Looks like a great place to enjoy nature and the great outdoors. I was there this time to only visit the venue space for a future wedding. I do want to return to enjoy the paths and nature trails.

With broad paths and a literal oasis in the midst of our city, the lake is just the right size to circumnavigate in under 20 minutes. And the adjacent boardwalk is a delightful refuge from summer heat, as it meanders through the trees. People there are friendly and carry the dignity often attending those with good health habits. See my photo for concrete design flaw (after a good rain).

A spacious park in the Plano area, home to diverse wildlife and a variety of plant species. When we visited, it was quiet and uncrowded, making it an ideal spot for a peaceful morning or evening walk. The park offers a great mix of activities — from scenic trails and lakes to opportunities for walking, biking, kayaking, and simply enjoying nature.

I love to walk around the lake, sometimes I also do walk through the woods, plenty of trails and the signs were in perfect place. Saw few people kayak but no boaters. Lots of fishing spots. Sunset was amazing.

The venue prides itself on serving farm-to-kitchen dishes and drinks, with most entrees slow-cooked on a live wood grill or smoker. My husband and I went there for our anniversary dinner. We had heard great things about Whiskey Cake and they did not disappoint! The food was amazing, the service was awesome and the atmosphere was perfect. We definitely will be back!

I had brunch with a friend and we tried multiple dishes. The food was okay. I am not a fan of spicy foods and everything seemed to be spicy. I was not expecting the chicken apple sausage to be spicy, either. I got the Farmer's breakfast with scrambled eggs. The eggs were only partially cooked, too. I liked the short stacks with the strawberry whipped butter and lemon shortbread crumble, though. I had to flag down my waitress as she forgot the syrup for them.
Amber S — Google review
Food - Started with the candied bacon ... it was amazing. Great smokey flavor, a bit of sweetness along with the BBQ aioli made this a great start to our meal. We shared the Chicken and Waffle since dessert would be filling. This chicken was flavorful, and the waffle had a wonderful vanilla flavor. Used the maple syrup and gravy as dipping options which added the right amount of extra flavor. I also asked for the hot honey BBQ which is made in house. It was so good I bought some to bring home. Lastly, dessert. It was suggested to come here not only for the wide range of whiskey, but for the dessert. Glad we shared this slice as it was massive and over the top with flavor. It came with homemade whipped cream which they made fresh right before serving to us. Service - Kayla was our server - my opinion, ask for her section if you can. She was amazing, pleasant, thoughtful, courteous, funny and great to talk with! Absolutely 5 star service. Wishing her all the best. We also had an opportunity to talk with the manager, Madison. She actually brought out the cake and fresh whipped topping. She stuck around and talked with us a bit which was great. Madison you have a great crew, from the servers to the cooks, everything was amazing! Restaurant - The interior decor is very fitting for what the restaurant offers. The floors were clean, tables were not sticky, and the restrooms were in top shape. Even with it being a weekend night, the restaurant was well maintained. Overall - Our suggestion would be to put this on your radar. Whiskey flights are an option which allowed me to try some bottles that have been on my need to try list. Save room for dessert, or better yet start with dessert, then determine how hungry you might be. We will be coming back here on our next visit to Plano, as there are quite a few options on the menu that I need to try.

Overall, this is not a bad spot at all to grab a bite & kickback with the fam. The rustic vibe is inviting & the service was great! Drinks were solid, with a good dose of alcohol (grabbed the American Pie). Rooster Royale was awesome, as well as the fries!! My kids had the chicken tenders & my wife had the chicken & waffles. The chicken tenders here are underrated & should probably start getting some more love from the restaurant. I couldn’t keep my hands off my kids’ and wife’s plates! Their Mac & cheese, however, was very underwhelming. Perhaps that was their biggest miss for me on this visit. My family also got their famous whiskey cake, which they thoroughly enjoyed. Personally, I found the whiskey cake dry and lacking, but I’m also not a cake guy, more of an ice cream fan. All in all, this is a spot I look forward to returning to, as I am interested in checking out the rest of the items on their menu! Go check it out!
Jay S — Google review
Let me start by saying, God bless whoever hired and trained the waitstaff! They were extremely friendly, professional, respectful, and truly excellent at what they do. I dine out often, in different states and even at high-end restaurants, and their service was truly outstanding. The food quality, however, was just okay. The crab fritters we ordered as an appetizer were delicious, but the burger I got was burned on the outside and undercooked on the inside. Despite that, the amazing hospitality made me forget about the food quality. The whiskey cake was decent, though I wish they offered more dessert options but I understand they probably want guests to try their signature cake. Overall, the experience was okay, and the staff’s exceptional service really stood out.
Israa — Google review
Loved the atmosphere and staff. Dominque the bartender was friendly and nice. The food was not amazing. Steak only grilled on one side and the other side looked like boiled meat. Chimmichurri could have been chopped better. Did not enjoy the fries. Felt they needed additional crispiness. The crab fritters were underwhelming and should not have that much cheese. Nice sauce though. Parking was easy. I would return for drinks. The old fashioned was amazing.

A great restaurant. High quality food and drinks and yes whiskey cake dessert . Atmospheric and pleasant to spend time to eat or have drinks or meetings . Has a wide selection of drinks and cocktails and American and Scottish bourbon and whiskey . We had steak Frites , burger and salad and Brussels sprouts and rye bourbon and Cocktails. Great service also .

Whiskey Cake in Plano continues to impress. The Prime Rib and Gouda Stack was an absolute showstopper—tender, juicy beef layered with smoky gouda in a way that hits every note of comfort and indulgence. The rotating seasonal menu keeps things exciting, and our server’s thoughtful walk-through of the new dishes made the experience even better. Of course, the meal wouldn’t be complete without their namesake Whiskey Cake—moist, decadent, and unapologetically rich. It’s the kind of dessert that makes you plan for an extra workout the next morning, and it’s always worth it. Whiskey Cake remains a must-visit for anyone who loves food crafted with creativity and care.

Densetsu is a casual and modern Japanese eatery located in Bristol Pointe Estates, Plano. It's renowned for its creative specialty rolls, fresh sushi, sashimi, and a variety of Japanese fare. The restaurant offers an extensive selection of vegan-friendly options alongside bento boxes and ramen noodles for non-sushi enthusiasts.
While between appointments, we stumbled upon a charming Japanese restaurant, and it turned out to be a delightful surprise. The inviting atmosphere immediately caught our attention, especially the family-friendly vibe and the option to dine on the patio, which was perfect for the sunny afternoon. Our server was attentive and friendly, guiding us through the menu and offering recommendations without being overbearing. As for the food, it was flavorful and beautifully presented. We ordered the Beef and Chicken Yakisoba. Each dish was seasoned just right, allowing the natural flavors to shine without being overly complicated. The relaxed atmosphere made it an ideal spot for a casual lunch, with plenty of families enjoying their meals around us. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience that felt both welcoming and well-executed. We’ll definitely be returning the next time we’re in the area!

My extended family had been craving sushi and our usual spot closed so we have been on the lookout for new sushi places to try out. One of my cousins had been here so we gave it a try. The wait staff was very attentive and what we didn't know was how big the portions are for their rolls. We ended up ordering way too much food and had plenty of leftovers to bring home. My daughter spilled some water and the staff was so patient and kind, they cleaned it up so quickly and brought lots of napkins to help. Regarding the food, I was surprised by how good the black cod was. We will definitely be back for more, as there are so many more dishes to try out.

The food here is always great. My husband and I have loved this place since 2020 and are proud return customers. We’ve been to several sushi spots, but this one remains our top choice. The Ahi Tower was excellent, but the roll could have been better—it needed to be fried more for extra flavor and texture. Surprisingly, the food took quite a while to be served this time.

Fav sushi spot! Sua was so kind and attentive ☺️ I got a Salmon skin Roll, a Volcano Roll, and the Dynamite App, plus a lychee Saketini with pear. Everything was phenomenal!

We had a very sub-optimal experience with this restaurant. Specially after spending $100 for two adults and a kid, and we didn’t even order any drinks. They sent the wrong food and incomplete food some of the dishes were not good. Ordered a sushi roll (maki) and they sent a strange cone, the nigiri had wasabi in it and the kid couldn’t eat it, the beef don looked horrible and tasted meh, the beef was overcooked, hard and dry. The only thing we liked was the udon soup.
Mauricio D — Google review
Just ordered and picked up my alone Star roll and I am very disappointed. The roll was full of oil and put right onto the styrofoam container that way. I actually had to move my rolls to the other side after putting a layer of paper towels down to absorb some of the oil as you can see on the photos attached. In addition, the miso soup was simply brought with no seaweed nor any tofu in it at all This used to be my favorite place. I have no idea what happened to the quality. I want a refund upon opening tomorrow morning!

east coast guy in Texas with my son looking for apartments in the Richardson - Plano area. Many locals recommend Lockhart’s Smokehouse & it DID NOT disappoint! amazing brisket - tried every side they offered & their jalapeño popper (which someone said is called a Texas pickle) EVERYTHING was delicious. Besides the brisket - my favs were the backed beans - deviled eggs & spicy mac&cheese! Will definitely be going back when we visit our son. Staff was very helpful to us being a newcomer - bartender very helpful as well.

First time here and had an awesome experience! Delicious and tender brisket served by weight. There are plenty of tables and staff, but it's a great place to get the meats and sides to go, as well. We ordered 1/2 pound of brisket and mac & cheese and 2 great beers and ate there. It was a great first experience. The guys, Ray, Adrian and Joseph, and gal, Valerie, behind the counters provided excellent service. The food was amazing. We will be back! Thank you, Lockhart Smoke House and Ray, Adrian, Joseph and Valerie!!!

Delicious food and very friendly and welcoming staff. Brisket was on point (of course) and the mac and cheese was excellent. Jalapeno sausage had a great kick. Staff went out of their way to check on everyone and make sure everyone was doing okay.

Came here as a family because one of our cousins suggested us go to Lockheart for Texas BBQ. We did not regret that decision! The brisket was pretty moist for the most part but I would highly recommend getting “wet brisket” for maximum tenderness if I were to order again. The beef tips were amazing and super tender and the sauce is delicious. Overall the food has intense smokiness in a good way. I would highly recommend if you’re from out of state and looking for Texas BBQ with smokiness!

Edit: I should have mentioned that the bartender did come by and ask us how everything was. Maybe I should have said something, but at that point we just wanted to finish and go. Ordered some brisket, regular sausage, Lockhart twinkie, baked beans, and mac & cheese. I use to frequent this location quite often when I lived nearby. It's been a while since I've been back. I was honestly disappointed in the quality of the food. The worst was the brisket. It was so dry. It tasted like it was yesterday's meat. I did not like their sausage, but in their defense I think I'm just not a fan of smoked sausage. Of the many places that I have had it, I've only liked it from 1-2 places. I will say the texture was like biting into ground beef. The twinkie was ok. The bacon was coated with something, maybe sriracha, and I wasn't crazy about it. The baked beans were not sweet and a bit salty. The mac & cheese was very good. The restaurant itself was clean and lots of charm. The staff is always nice. Maybe I remember things differently, it has been a while, but I remember there being more than one type of sauce. Taste is subjective, but preparation is not.

I really enjoyed the ribs we ordered. They can sell them by rib or by weight. Peach cobbler was delicious and so was the Lockhart coleslaw. Order your food at the back and then go sit down.

They have a buy each items you want menu, no combos. We tried the brisket, sausage, and ribs. All had good flavor and were tender, very good over all. We also got the Mac and cheese which was great. The banana pudding doesn't beat my grandma's but it doesnt miss. Over all a good place to ear.

Jorg's Cafe Vienna is a family-owned restaurant located in downtown Plano, offering a comforting atmosphere and serving authentic Austrian and German cuisine. The restaurant features a cozy dining room as well as an outdoor beer garden where guests can enjoy European beers and traditional dishes such as schnitzels, goulash, and wurst. Owned by Austrian native Jorg Fercher and his wife Cathy, the restaurant provides a taste of Europe with its diverse menu.
Absolutely delicious from start to finish! We had a fantastic experience at Jörg’s Café Vienna in Downtown Plano. The food was authentic, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We started with the pretzel cones and a savory cheese spread—warm, soft, and perfectly salty. The main dishes were just as memorable: crispy schnitzel with tangy potato salad and a bratwurst plate that came with rich sauerkraut. The drinks were a highlight too—a jalapeño martini and a decadent chocolate espresso cocktail that was almost dessert in itself. Speaking of dessert, the apple strudel was heavenly—flaky, warm, and topped with whipped cream and a side of rum sauce that brought it all together. The service was top-notch—friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. We never felt rushed, and every course came out just right. Highly recommend if you’re looking for great German and Austrian cuisine in a charming and cozy setting!

Been wanting to try this place for a while, and it did not disappoint! Tried the wurst sampler.. so good! So many different flavored sausage samples, and it gives me an idea of what I might order next time. I’ve had many breaded schnitzels elsewhere before, but was intrigued by a sautéed version on the menu. Got the Jagerschnitzel.. so so good! Spaetzle noodles were great, perfect for taking in every drop of the sauce. Also enjoyed sides of potato salad and red cabbage. My favorite was the Apple Streudel! Loved it! Service was really great, very attentive. Fun place!

We really wanted this to be a great new restaurant to add to our rotation. Waiter service was slow/lacking, but friendly. The food is okay, but not stellar. Portions are small and a share fee of $5.50 was added even though all that got you was a plate brought to the table (they don't actually split the meal onto two plates for that fee). We waited just under a hour to be seated from our reservation time. I had visions of the Seinfeld car reservation scene. Ordered drinks and appetizers several minutes after being seated while we waitedfor our waiter. Drinks came 15 minutes later. Two of our dinner meal selections were "not available" and required a different choice after the fact. Wanted to love this place, but we will not be back.

Stopped in for dinner/lunch because my boyfriend has been telling me about this place since i moved to Texas. The atmosphere is absolutely awesome, I adored the Bavarian and Austrian decor. Came during the week with my wife and son. The man behind the counter was also very attentive and welcoming even when my wife had questions about how the food was prepared. Highly recommend, We'll be back!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently dined at The Latin Pig, Cuban Cuisine, and it was an incredible experience that transported me straight to Cuba! For starters, the Arroz Congri was perfectly seasoned, combining black beans and rice in a delightful harmony of flavors. The Arroz con Gandules was equally impressive, bursting with the rich, savory taste of pigeon peas that paired wonderfully with the tender rice. The main dishes were the stars of the show! The Ropa Vieja was stunning—slow-cooked beef with vibrant spices that practically melted in my mouth. The Picadillo offered a comforting blend of ground beef, olives, and spices. The Fried Plantain just how it’s supposed to be cooked, and for the sweet tooth the Coconut Flan and Vanilla Flan, creamy and sweet! And to top it off, the service, warm and welcoming! I could’ve given 50 stars if I could!!!

9/10 The ambiance was set perfectly with pictures, paintings, and other Cuban elements. The food was delicious and was brought out very quickly, despite the restaurant being full of guests. The host was friendly, informative, and set a welcoming tone. We ordered the Cubano, which was perfectly balanced with the ideal amounts of each signature ingredient, Yucca Frita, which was carefully finished with flaky salt, Tostones Rellenos, which were served in a pair and the plantain cups were delicately flaky and carrying a rather large serving of tender delicious brisket, Guandules (yellow rice) which was cooked with pigeon peas and sofrito which gave it much more flavor than plain rice. I would reccomended all of the dishes, but the Cubano and the Tostones Rellenos stood out for sure. I doubt you could go wrong ordering anything here, though! We will definitely be back to try more dishes and leave room for desserts next time.

My friend says "you gotta try this place, it's in Plano". I'm thinking maybe not since he's had a few misses. He catches me one day for lunch and take the offer to try The Latin Pig. We pull up and from the outside I can see it's not a big place. This is starting to get exciting. We walk in and I like the look and feel of the place. I'm now starting to regret not coming here last time he offered. I watch as the staff brings out plates to other guests and I'm super impressed. I'm starting to have menu anxiety. Menu anxiety: when you see so much yummy stuff, you don't know what to order from the menu. The waiter is pretty fast on taking our drink orders and gets the back pretty fast. I'm so busy watching the food the other customers are eating that I didn't even look at the menu. My buddy Dan orders a Cubano sandwich and orders it Floridian style. Rather than deal with my menu anxiety, I order the same. He suggests we split a fry, I reluctantly agreed since I love fries and hate to share. The food is out pretty fast and sat in front of us with fries. I realize now it was a good decision to split a fry. WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW!! This food looks good!! I take my first bite. WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW!! This is not a sandwich, this is a SAMMICH!!! and a good SAMMICH at that!! LOL I'm eating my food contemplating my next visit and what I will order. So to break it down for you. The place looks also, it has a very Cuban feel to it. I've never been to cuba, but I've seen movies and have a good imagination. The service is A+, the feel is A+ and the food in incredible. It is their promise to consistently deliver quality dishes and awesome customer service, while dining in authentic Havana 1950's décor, and they deliver 100%. Bravo Latin Pig, I'm a new regular customer!

Stopped in here for a bite after work and I’m glad I did! The owner was very kind and helpful. I ordered the Cuban sandwich and it was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend. Support local businesses!

it was too expensive for the type of service you walk up to a counter where you feel unwelcome. The small restaurant is dirty. this restaurant has a lot of potential because of food was great but now I wonder about the kitchen.. It would be nice if someone would welcome you and tell you to take a seat wherever you like.

Love, love, love this place! Have been coming to this little neighborhood spot for over 10 years and the food is consistently delicious. Over the years, I have also taken friends and family and they always give it high marks. I highly recommend the Cubano Sandwich, Maduros Sweet Plantains, and Yuca Frita. Enjoy!

Mexican restaurant
Cocktail bar
Mexican Sugar is a chic, hacienda-style restaurant that offers upscale Mexican dishes and an array of tequila cocktails. The menu features a variety of "sultry" Mexican-inspired comfort food made from scratch using locally-sourced ingredients and traditional cooking methods.
Loved the food, loved the ambiance even more. The staff is super friendly. The place does have Vegetarian Options. The Queso Blanco was amazing. And the hibiscus margarita was fancy. Enchiladas were good too. Didn’t like the avocado cake much because we don’t usually like too much of sweet in a cake, but again, if you like sweet treats, it is good. Don’t miss their Sina Colada. I am going back for it again. That was my favorite of everything we ordered. Most impressive was the staff informing us why the food we ordered would arrive late, really appreciate the personal care. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

This place is off the charts delicious!!! If you're a foodie, this.is.your.jam! From the Yuca fries, street corn, crab enchiladas with creamy poblano sauce all the way to the simple rice and beans. Your taste buds will be dancing on these robust flavors. Don't get me started on the cocktails. Highly recommend Out of Office 🤤🤌 Cannot wait to dine again!

I was excited to try this Mexican restaurant before meeting up with friends and it was not a good experience… As someone who had worked service industry in the past, it shocked me. I came at about 10pm (they close at 11pm) and there was 0 host or hostess at the front. Waited a couple minutes before flagging a server to see if the bar was open seating. There were a total of 6 people sitting at the bar when I chose a spot near the bartenders. For 5min, no one greeted me or brought me any water. At about the 5 minute mark, a menu was put in front of me but was still not welcomed to the restaurant. When looking at the menu, I chose my drink (Classico Margarita) and then when opening the menu, it was stuck together with food and was super sticky. I chose my food (Chicken Tacos) and set the menu down. More than 4 people were behind the bar and when finally asked what I wanted, I ordered and they walked away. I was not given any utensils or chips and salsa. The bar top was also dirty and I had to grab a cocktail napkin to wipe down my area… 4 or more places were dirty despite plenty of workers to help wipe down the bar top. I received my drink and food… the drink was decent but not the best I’ve had and the food was a mixed bag. My plate came with 3 tacos, black beans, and rice. The beans were lack luster and bland, the rice was decent and the tacos were the best part but fell apart quickly as it only had 1 corn tortilla on the outside. At this point I was prepared to get my check and leave. This place would have gotten a 1-star review at that point but they were redeemed by Elwin the bar back who checked on me multiple times and asked if anything was wrong. I informed him of the experience and he was so apologetic and sweet. Elwin immediately brought me chips and salsa (the salsa was bland and served hot) plus, got me a free drink for my trouble. The Grandiose Margarita he gave me was very good and would suggest anybody order it if they were getting a margarita. At about halfway through my margarita, they came around and stated last call would be occurring shortly at about 10:45pm. I chose to ask for the check at this time. When the check came out, it only had the food and drink on it, which was around $25. I laid down my card to process and when it came back, the check was only $14 as they removed my first drink also because they felt so bad. I told them it wasn’t necessary, but thank them so much for their kindness at the end. I tipped more because of that and then left. Seriously, Elwin was the one redeeming factor of this restaurant.

I had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday with family and husband on 09/20. Alejandro was fantastic! He was incredibly attentive, patient, and really took care of our party. We mentioned to him that we were celebrating a birthday and he surprised us with the churros we had been eyeing. Unfortunately I can’t say as a Mexican American that I would recommend Mexican Sugar for good Mexican food, but drinks and atmosphere are 10/10.

I ordered brunch tacos. They were so good. They had a nice spice to them. It came with a fruit bowl. The salsa was good and spicy. The server was attentive and I also got the impression that he was trying to rush my friend and me out. The atmosphere was nice. Not too loud or cold. The margaritas were tasty. I would return.

The vibe of this place is it! Very friendly staff, the appetizers are everything. None of the drinks miss, the hibiscus margarita and theor old fashion were delicious. And the entrees are amazing, I visited twice in one week! Will definitely be back

Phenomenal Experience at Mexican Sugar! From the moment we walked in, everything was top-notch. The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, the food was absolutely delicious, and the drinks were crafted perfectly. But what really made the night memorable was our server, Alejandro. He was attentive, friendly, and made us feel like VIPs from start to finish. The food? Incredible. The chicken and carne asada fajitas were sizzling and full of flavor, the pork tacos were tender and perfectly seasoned, and don’t even get us started on the avocado chocolate cake—rich, unique, and the perfect sweet ending. You can tell Alexandro genuinely cares about the guests having a great experience—and we absolutely did. Do suggest the staff meeting be held in a different location. Diners do not need to experience it. If you’re thinking about visiting Mexican Sugar, do it. And if you’re lucky enough to get Alejandro as your waiter, you’re in for a treat. We’ll definitely be back!

What a wonderful classy, casual kind of atmosphere and vibe was welcoming and happy they have plenty of seating for small or large parties great customer service very attentive, quick with the service, proper portion size and very pretty serving dishes . Food came out hot and amazing. Their salsa is number one in the world. I’ve never tasted salsa so good. Urban Crust is a lively multilevel wood-fired pizzeria located in a historic building in Plano. It features a vibrant rooftop ice bar and offers a memorable dining experience with its friendly staff, particularly standout manager Derrick. The menu boasts authentic Mediterranean cuisine, including brick oven bread, olive tapenade, Caprese salad, blue cheese fries, Tuscan cold cuts, truffle-topped carpaccios, Caesar salads, and Texan-influenced Cowboy ribeye.
We've been going to Urban Crust for years. The wood fired pizza is always excellent and well as the appetizers and service. They always start us with free bread which is served with a side of olive tapenade and a tomato sauce. The olive tapenade on bread is excellent. Today we followed that with Wood Fired Bocconcini Mushrooms which are a must for mushroom and truffle lovers. You can't go wrong with the pizza. We've always built our own. There wood fired build your own pizza is unique in that it's not first covered with tomato sauce first. Instead, I believe, they cover the crust with olive oil then add the fresh toppings. Today we added Italian Sausage (which is from Tony's in Dallas) as well as peperoni and olives. The 12" pizza was plenty for the two of us. Pizza isn't a household staple, but when we do want pizza, Urban Crust is an easy decision.

Nice. The bread and dipping sauces were enough to come back! The pizzas looked and smelled great. I had their salad with chicken. All gone! Well made. The 4 stars comes from my wife not getting her order. The waitress got confused, I guess.

Shocked I haven’t reviewed this yet. Been going for almost a decade and I have never had a bad experience. Nights on the upstairs bar area. Meals with family. Wine dinners. Beer dinners. Chef is creative and they don’t put out a bad meal. Large variety of monthly specials. Strong drink selection. I cannot even count the number of times I’ve been. Even met my husband for the first time there. Got engaged after a meal there. And ended up getting married across the street. After all these years, I think the Urban Amore remains my favorite. Also if you love an aperol spritz, they have one of the best ones I’ve had. Oh and their brunch pizza is also phenomenal!!!

Me and my wife love this place. We have visisted this place about 10 times now. But realized never put up a review for it. We had our regulars Buffalina 😋 and Quattro Formaggi. We tried Margherita pizza, pasta and as well. Absolutely tastes good. The vibe of this place and the street is really great. The only thing about Buffalina is it tastes very good in the weekday but great in the weekends.

Ok… Hands down best pizza experience in my life! Starting with the location, downtown brick and cobblestone surround, three story building. You enter and there is a bustling elegant but old vibe, smells are enticing and make your mouth water, they have a bar on bottom floor, with good seating, then you walk up to second floor where they have elegant tables and a separate room for groups, then the third floor with a rooftop view of downtown, surrounded with the cutest flower bed. The pizza is amazing, delicious, perfect undercarriage, amazing mozzarella, and great combination of ingredients. Excellent relaxing vibe, really good waiting staff, I’d recommend a thousand times.

Pretty good pizza, with fresh and tasty ingredients. The rucula and parma ham pizza was pretty good. And the rooftop is quite nice, not the most breathtaking views but definitely cool vibe. But the thing that stood out for me was how nice all the staff was. Definitely recommend!

The restaurant is known for its authentic Spanish dishes, tapas, red wine sangria, and paella. Inspired by Madrid's Tapas scene, Bulla's creations aim to transport diners to Spain with dishes like Patatas Bravas, Gazpacho Andaluz, Tortilla Espanola, and Croquetas de Jamon.
Bulla is a fantastic experience at a great location in the Shops at Legacy. Everything we tried was off of the Fixed Brunch menu which is 32 dollars for a three course meal. All the dishes we ordered tasted amazing, with very reasonable portions for the price. Our server Cortney was great and checked on us throughout our meal. Would definitely recommend for anyone stopping in the area for a meal.

Easily the best meal and service I've had in a long time. Isa was my server and she had fantastic recommendations and was so kind and attentive! The horchata was great! Montaditos blew my mind! Didn't have any expectations, and it was such a great mix of flavors. I felt like Remy in Ratatouille when he eats the cheese and strawberry. I really appreciated Isa and the chef for my paella de pollo without mushrooms. It was so tasty. I have been eating mostly home cooked meals since moving to Dallas, so I think that's why I felt the paella was a tad too salty for me. But otherwise, a very tasty dish. Isa recommended the flan de coco. I love coconut, and the flan did not disappoint. So rich and creamy! I didn't read the menu thoroughly and thought it was served with vanilla ice cream. The passion fruit sorbet was an unexpected flavor combination with the fruit and flan! I will definitely be returning and I'll be taking family and friends here when they visit me.

While visiting the Dallas area, last night started with the Smoke & Mirrors cocktail (despite not being a big fan of Mezcal) but it was a nice balance of smoke/sweet/spicey. Had the grilled octopus and pork loin skewers and they were delicious; have had grilled octopus in many foodie places and this by far has been the best. The only minus is the bed of polenta could've been a tad bit less sweet. Capping off dinner with the Torrija dessert was a pleasant surprise since neither the goat ice cream nor the caramelized brioche were saturated in sugar as wayyy too many desserts resort to. The laid-back chic vibe and atmosphere was also appreciated. Highly recommended.

We started off with drinks which were a 4/5… Sangria was good but the old fashioned was watered down! Patata bravas could have been better… Ceviche was star of the dinner - too good! We did not particularly like the Paella as we expected the bottom crust burnt which it was not…. Garlic shrimps were good, needed a bit salt. Overall good, not sure why is it extremely highly rated!

For special occasions like Father's Day, Knife offers unique tasting experiences featuring different dry-aged New York Strip steaks paired with premium bourbons. As an independent, owner-operated establishment, Knife prides itself on its carefully curated menu and exceptional hospitality.
I recently dined at Knife Steakhouse and was blown away by the experience. The restaurant itself is beautiful, with a stylish interior and vibrant ambiance. I ordered the dry-aged strip Creekstone steak with truffle pasta, and it was one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. The steak was cooked to perfection and the truffle pasta was a delightful complement. The avocado fries were absolutely delightful, the perfect combination of crunchy and fluffy. Honestly, can’t even describe how delicious they tasted. What surprised me most was how affordable it was for the quality. The customer service was phenomenal from start to finish, and the management team was amazing. I would definitely recommend this place to family and friends; it’s worth more than 5 stars.

Knife promises a lot and they deliver quite a lot. The dry aged steaks are their specialty, but their dishes are definitely of a shareable style. Opt for the 45-day to keep it safe but the 240-day is a nice experience. Pastas are great as well, generous portions and nice ambience. Recommended.

We were so excited to try this place out during the restaurant week. Upon walking in no one was at the host stand. Then a lady showed up to greet us and sat us down to find that she would be our server. Not very happy looking, unifor had stains and just seemed off. OK. Lets move on. Restaurant week menu was a disappointment. I mean presentation was OK but food was just bland. Caesar salad had way too much parmesean cheese. Soup was soo hot you can melt your spoon in it. Appetizer Brussels sprouts with cauliflower was tasteless and just bland. Steak sandwich tasted like days old strips of steak reheated in microwave. It was so dry I took 1 bite and that was that... fish was cooked OK but again no flavor.... We were really rooting for this place to be good so that with the willow bend mall closing down it would survive.. I would hope they would add some lunch menu options and really make it through this hard times..

After a night out with my wife at a Candlelight Concert event we decided we wanted to stop for a cocktail. We remembered The Knife and how we always wanted to go. My regret is that we waited this long to give it a try. We loved the atmosphere and the service. Not to mention our espresso and chocolate martinis were excellent. We are already planning a return trip. It is also nice to hear that The Knife will remain open through the Willowbend remodel.

We got the 75 day aged steak and 45 day. It was tender, juicy, and adequately aged. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Especially with the chimmichurri and salsa verde sauces. The service was excellent. The vanilla crème brûlée was delectable. Everything was made to order. Will definitely come back. Thank you!

Halal options here include the fish-based meal - a recommendation is the line caught salmon. Ordered this well done and it was crusty at the top and well cooked inside - tastes amazing. Didn’t try the mac and cheese but I heard it was good. Had a taste of late spring tulip and it was good too. The meat may not be halal or kosher - so I’ll recommend to ask. The ambience was nice - given that we had a private dinner arrangement. The service was a bit slow though but not sure if it was because of the arrangement, so I may be wrong.

From the moment we walked in, the service was first-class — attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming. The steaks were next-level — perfectly aged, beautifully seared, and full of rich flavor you only get from true craftsmanship. Every side and cocktail complemented the meal perfectly. The atmosphere is upscale yet relaxed, making it perfect for date night, business dinners, or celebrating something special. You can tell Chef John Tesar and the team take real pride in what they do. Plano is lucky to have a spot like this — easily one of the best steakhouses in Texas!

Sea Breeze Fish Market & Grill is a family-owned seafood market and restaurant that offers the freshest catch flown in daily from the vast oceans. Located at 4017 Preston Road, Suite 530, this place is famous for its lobster rolls, New England clam chowder, and regional specialties like Cioppino. You can dine in and enjoy their fresh meals or buy fresh fish from their full-service fish market.
We were looking for a new Seafood restaurant and were extremely pleased with Sea Breeze Fish Grill. Christina our server (who was amazing) told us the menu rotates every 2 weeks. The menu is very large and all the fish is fresh. They have a large wine list and drink selection. There actually is a bar you could sit at. They also do have a kids menu we’ve included in our pictures. I ordered an Old Fashioned from the bar as a pre dinner cocktail and it was made perfectly. For our dinner appetizer we noted they had on special Snow Crab claws which were delicious and cooked perfectly. We ordered Cioppino soup and live lobster 🦞. Out 7 year old had Marinara Pasta. Everything was delicious and promptly served. We will definitely be going back.

Nice seafood restaurant but potentially just not for me. The seafood itself was good, fresh and well cooked. However, it seems that they want the natural flavor of the seafood to stand on its own by going light on the seasoning. I personally think that a little more salt would've gone a long way. For me, the clam chowder, the mussels, and the shrimp that was in the pasta all were a little bland. This might differ from fish to dish though, because the warm buttered lobster roll was good. On the other hand, their bread and accompanying dip was good. Also their fries were really fresh, crispy and well seasoned. The service was exceptional.

Dropped by Sea Breeze Fish Market & Grill for a laid-back night of drinks and light bites, and it was spot-on. Seafood was fresh, the drinks went down easy, and the atmosphere was just right, relaxed yet classy, my favorite combo! But the real surprise? Sneaking next door to their secret hideaway, The Wilfred speakeasy. It’s got that perfect cozy, moody vibe, think upscale lounge meets secret club. The cocktails there were top-notch, making it the ideal spot to wrap up our evening.

The Carrot Whipped Potatoes are an acquired taste. Drinks were High Tide (base is cucumber vodka) and Orange Cadillac (think Blood Orange margarita). They also have a really cool speakeasy— gotta know the secret doorcode 🤫🤫🤫!

Here’s a polished review you could use for a great little fish market restaurant: ⸻ Review: If you’re looking for fresh, flavorful seafood in a laid-back setting, this little fish market restaurant is a hidden gem worth discovering. From the moment you walk in, you can tell freshness is their priority them have fresh fish delivered daily - the display of the day’s catch sets the tone, and you can practically taste the ocean in every bite. The menu is simple but spot-on. The clam chowder is rich and comforting without being heavy, and the oysters on the half shell are some of the best I’ve had in The city. What really makes this place stand out is the atmosphere. It’s casual, unpretentious, and you feel like you’ve stumbled onto a local favorite. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and quick to offer recommendations based on what’s freshest that day. Whether you’re grabbing something quick at the counter or sitting down for a leisurely meal, this spot hits all the right notes—great food, great service, and a genuine love for seafood that shines through in every dish. A true treasure for seafood lovers—I’ll definitely be back.

My first visit was absolutely wonderful. I celebrated my birthday at Seabreeze Fish Market & Grill, and I am so glad that I did, because it was all that and more. I had the Sea Breeze Lobster Pasta and the Connecticut Style Hot Lobster Roll. While the dish was very attractive, and overall enjoyable, the pasta sauce was bland. This was disappointing. I’m the kind of girl that likes to taste flavor in every single bite. The lobster and the bacon was fresh though. Now, let’s talk about the best part of my visit. The undeniable showstopper was the HCS Lobster Roll. One look at it, and I was literally drooling. Keep in mind that I have had a few lobster rolls. I could tell it was of a higher quality. One bite, and I was madly in love . It was heavenly it was so good. I think their roll is the best one that I have had in the DFW area for sure . Please don’t hesitate to try this place out . You will be so happy that you did.

New to us. Service was incredible. Try the tuna nachos. Yum! Had trout for the first time. Cedar plank steelhead. Jimminy Christmas! The maple glaze was perfect with salt crystals adding a pop now and then. Not a hush puppy person but those were fantastic. Hubby liked the crab stuffed shrimp which is something since he doesn't usually like crab. Desserts selection was ok. I'm sure if I had tried one, I would be impressed but the selection didn't knock my socks off. Highly recommend reservations.

You would figure when a plane is sitting at the gate for 3+ hours, someone would figure out said plane would have an engine issue. Nope, not Southwest, they completely board the plane, back it up, and then figure it out. Meanwhile, we completely unload the plane, scramble everyone for new flights and now I'm seven hours late. Never again...

First, it’s an airport, once you accept that, it’s bad medium or great. This is medium good. Dallas traffic is as bad as LA. The airport is a nice little place once you get in there. The even have a Maggiano’s, one of our favorite restaurants in Chicago, St. Louis, & in this airport (Philly and a couple more places we’ve visited.) that gets a Star!

I was flying out of Dallas using Southwest airlines and this is a great airport. I got dropped off when using the route 5 bus and the curbside main entrance to the terminal building is tiny. But when I got inside, it was not busy and I got through security in about 5 minutes. And due to the small size, the airport is very easy to navigate. Even though it's kind of small compared to DFW, there are still some good places to eat inside. Overall this is a great airport.

Currently here on a layover delay. The airport itself is nice, with large windows that let in plenty of natural light. One thing I really appreciate is the variety of restaurants—there’s no shortage of places to grab a bite. It is a bit crowded right now due to delays, and the interior layout can feel a little tight when it gets busy, but overall it’s a solid and comfortable airport to be stuck in.

I’ve used this airport a handful of times now. Southwest is most prominent airline. They have curbside check-in for $3. Plenty of kiosks for checking in inside. It’s relatively small so not a lot of people and not too busy, compared to a full size one. If you are running late, it’s a shorter distance to trek to the gate. Plenty of food options too. They have Whataburger and some fancy bars as well. Staff is friendly. Strict but not rude.

I don’t understand why this airport has 4.5 stars!! From the getting out of the car the security directing traffic were playing and goofing off!!! Then had the audacity to Yell at my dad for helping us unload our luggage and baby stroller and car seat. They didn’t direct traffic at ALL. Also I have been to several airports and not once charged a concierge fee on top of my baggage fee for curbside check in. Then the guy who checked us in was a complete jerk when I simply asked why we were being charged on top of the baggage fee. He said you didn’t read the sign!!! Ok well you read all the signed when you are being yelled at by security have awkward baby gear and luggage and a mother who is handicapped. If you are going to charge me the concierge price at least help us or have staff to help us. This airport sucks and is beyond greedy!!! Here is the sign for all those whom need to see it prior to your next departure.

Dallas Love Field is definitely a great airport, really easy to navigate and from check-in to boarding the plane, it’s all smooth. I’ve seen so many places to eat and many stores to shop and definitely did have a good flight on Southwest Airlines to Philadelphia. I will for sure return to this airport next time!

Dallas Fort Worth International Airport

International airport
Airport
Dallas Fort Worth International Airport is a massive complex spanning over 17,000 acres and serving North Texas. It offers direct rail service to Dallas and features the Founders Plaza Observation Station, providing visitors with a view of the airport's 2,300 daily takeoffs and landings. The observation area includes long-distance binoculars, parking, a graph board for identifying aircraft, speaker systems broadcasting audio from the Control Tower, and four picnic areas.
I fly frequently and love reviewing airports. DFW is one of my regular layovers when traveling from the west to east coast. DFW is a big airport that you need a tram to get between terminal A through E. The tram arrives every couple minutes and is easy to use. There are plenty of restaurants/fast food, vending machines, charging stations and restrooms throughout. I’m most familiar with terminal A. The employees at the American Airline gates are very helpful and efficient. If you have any questions I’m happy to answer them if I can. Happy Traveling!

Dallas Fort Worth International Airport is one of the busiest airports in the country, but despite the heavy traffic, my experience there was smooth and surprisingly stress-free. Getting to the terminal was easy, and the layout is well-organized, which made the entire arrival process straightforward. One of the highlights of DFW is the Skylink service, which is excellent. The automated train system is fast, efficient, and makes traveling between terminals a breeze. Even though the airport is massive, Skylink takes away the stress of navigating long distances. The airport itself is clean, modern, and very well maintained. There are plenty of places to eat and shop, offering everything from quick bites and coffee shops to sit-down restaurants and well-known retail brands. It makes layovers or waiting times much more enjoyable with so many options to choose from. Despite being such a large and very busy airport, it never felt chaotic. The signage is clear, the staff is helpful, and the overall organization makes it easy to find your way around. Pros: - Smooth and stress-free terminal access - Excellent Skylink train service between terminals - Clean, organized, and modern facilities - Wide variety of food and shopping options - Clear signage and helpful staff Things to note: - It’s a major hub, so it can get crowded at peak times Overall: DFW Airport offers a great travel experience. Even with its size and busy atmosphere, the efficiency, cleanliness, and amenities make it stand out as one of the better large airports in the U.S.

The best! Unpredictable and beautiful! I suggest you to enjoy your time here even if your flight depart without you. American Airlines always take care you that's why I don't worry, very fancy place with everything you need in here, no complaints whatsoever. Dallas Airport is a cool hub. Food is excellent here. Easy to navigate and it's huge which is a deterrent for me as a travel lover but signs are everywhere if you pay attention to your boarding pass you will figure it out. They have electric carts for those who need assistance going from one gate/terminal to another. I'm mainly mentioning on this review the two places I ate: Pappadeux and Little Maggiano's I firmly recommend. Airport food should be part of a pleasant journey. And these two restaurants elevate your travel experience.

DFW was my home airport for most of my life...after retiring and flying even more I fully appreciate DFW Airport. Large enough for just about every airline in the world the airports multiple terminals are connected by a post-TSA, free tram system that runs constantly. With so many airlines the airport is also home to many club lounges. From the Capital One Lounge to the many Admiral's Clubs and so many in between for a respite away from the crowds. Weather and thunderstorm delays are common in spring and summer. Always a good idea to be in and out of DFW earlier in the day rather than late and face cascading issues.

Massive airport. Be ready to take the Skylink train to get to your terminal—it’s fast, but definitely not the smoothest ride. The floors throughout in the Skylink could use a more consistent cleaning as well, which detracts a bit from the overall experience. That said, the airport offers a wide variety of restaurants, bars, and shops across all terminals, which helps pass the time if you have a layover.

If you're looking for the ultimate in airport convenience, accessibility, and luxury amenities, DFW's Terminal D (the International Terminal) is it. Home to a collection of top-tier lounges including The Centurion Lounge, Capital One Lounge, Flagship Lounge, and more offering abundant seating, premium food, and best of all, shower suites for long layovers! Use the Skylink train post-security for fast, easy connections to every other terminal. Enjoy bright, comfortable concourses, a diverse mix of international dining and shopping (including Duty-Free), and dedicated support for accessibility (like the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Program). Terminal D is truly built for the modern global traveler. Skip the arrival terminal crowds and head straight for the international gateway!

DFW is a great international airport to arrive at or fly from! It's spacious and big, which is befitting of an airport in The Great State of Texas, and also very "Texas friendly" as well. One feature that I enjoyed is the "Skylink" which connects all of the gates. It's an airport that I'll look forward to returning to again!
