Absolutely phenomenal experience with the whole team! My girls surprised me with a private tasting and tour for my bachelorette party and I couldn’t have been happier. The entire staff was so kind and gifted me flowers! The wines of course were delicious as I LOVE fruit wines (love the grape and lemonade). Thank you for hosting us and we can’t wait to come back!
Thank you for a nice Valentine’s Visit. What a great Christmas present to get. Wine tasting tour, yummy charcuterie with a glass of our fave and a great little gift shop. Thank you Donavan for a nice tour. Something to cleanse palette would be our only suggestion.
Had such a great visit here! Not only do I love wine, pizza, and cottage country outdoor things to do, but I especially love dog friendly places! 🍷🐶 plenty of seating outdoors on the patio, lawn games to play, excellent pizza, and they don’t cheap out on the wine tastings! I think we sampled about 8 different kinds before we chose what we wanted a glass of. Very upbeat, friendly and fun staff. Beautiful location, can’t wait to come back!
I absolutely love this place. Very cozy, friendly staff and fabulous wine tasting! They also have the best wood burning, thin crust Vegan pizza💖 & I am extremely picky when it comes to pizza. They have a wonderful country shop located inside. The selection of everything is fantastic. Sundays they offer live music. Its dog friendly which is another absolutely amazing part, bringing the pups, sit outside on the patio and enjoy!
Today me and my two friends had the best experience ever! Kristen it’s such a lovely person 😍, amazing service, so patience and friendly! Wines are delicious!!!! The place is lovely we’ll be back soon and bringing our friends and puppies 💞💞💞💞
What a great place! Firstly free wine samples (Amazing). The woodfire pizza is excellent, great comfy outdoor atmosphere and free live music on Sunday afternoons! We bring out of town guests here as it is family friendly and accessible!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Have you ever gone to a winery and they spoke about different ways to enjoy your wine?! I haven’t until I spoke with John at Kawartha Country Wines. He recommended ways to transform their wines into a refreshing sangria, for more ways to enjoy…. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Love the section of wines, peachy keen being a top favourite in our house but also loving the pear, serious black…. Yum! Top it off … I came today and as I was leaving Donna mentioned to come back and try the tasty wood fire pizza. I will most definitely be back to pizza and wine!
Amazing wines and even better staff. I've had a few of their wines previously but had no idea how many different options they have. The facility is very quaint and the new one, to be opened sometime in the not too distant future, will be fantastic with the large entertaining space. Oh, and they are (very) dog friendly, as you can see from the photos :) I highly recommend stopping in, even if it's a bit of a detour.

It's a sad day. As of April 2022, The buildings and property has Sold and is now a private residence and no longer opperates as a buisness. I believe Art is available on line to purchase. Though a disappointing closure, Buckhorn remains vibrant, diverse and beautiful with so many wonderful attractions from cultural excursions to Curve Lake, local Buckhorn winery tours and tastings, to year round holiday destinations accommodations & dinning, most of which are family owned and operated. Buckhorn is a closeby destination that everyone should visit!
The building interior could use a modernizing face lift, but I was really impressed. The gallery and grounds are gorgeous and their collection of artwork was fantastic. This is also a retail gallery so you can buy something if you love it!
Incredible gallery with amazing array of art of all different mediums located in a gorgeous setting. Gallery staff was very friendly. I'm already planning to go back.
The Gallery has a wide variety of excellent art. The prices are reasonable for the quality and unique offerings. We took two couples to the gallery, who buy art on occasion if the piece "strikes them". Upon leaving, the lady who appeared to run the gallery informed us, that the gallery was not for people like us who look and don't buy. I immediately left (embarrassed that I introduced the to Gallery on the Lake) but one of my guests who frequents art galleries stayed to calmly discuss why he didn't buy anything. He didn't see what he wanted but did see a lot of great art. I will never recommend this gallery or return to it. I apologized to my friends and took them to Curve Lake Whetung Gallery where one of them purchased a beautiful soapstone sculpture.
This is one of the best private galleries, in a gorgeous setting, to see top Canadian arts. So glad we stopped.
This is a fine art gallery that sells upmarket Canadian art. I am lead to understand that they're in the top tier of sellers of current Canadian artists, but I'm not an expert in the field. I would recommend this place if you are looking for a top notch Canadian work of art and are willing to spend a significant amount of money on it. Just as an aside, they sell more than just paintings.
Very interesting, lovely building, wonderful setting by the water. Canada's largest private gallery all types of original art by Canadian artists. Bought a gorgeous burled Spotty Hard Maple Bowl by Leo Condon. No entry fee, a little off the main road but worth the side trip.
Wonderful large gallery with many spectacular Canadian artists for sale. The Christian Morriseau expedition caught my eye but so many more lovely works. We got their late in the day but were warmly greeted and will be back when we are in the area.

It is unexpectedly beautiful. Big rocks, cute island, hidden entrance and old trees. I saw people swimming between the islands looks like a lot of fun. Also someone are fishing at big rocks in center of lake 😂, pretty confused on how they get there. One little tips- parking is not easy, you may want to park somewhere nearby and walked there.
Passed by after the rain and saw raging waters. Didnt realize this was burleigh falls. Beautiful scenery with powerful waters i might say. You go drive in an one lane unpaved road and there was a small parking lot a few mins drive in. Although it is a little walk on the road to where i was standing. Great quick stop.
A very scenic location to take in anytime of year! Love seeing this spot in winter time with ice and snow. One is able to park at several locations such as Lovesick Lake Park, The Burleigh Falls Inn and Lock 28 of the Trent Severn Waterway of Parks Canada. I walked over to Burleigh Park Road to get photos and video. This particular road has no parking signs all along however it’s the where one can walk along the waters edge. In summer this location is packed with people enjoying the water. Great food and accommodations right at this location.
Extra Extra Extra careful..... amazing thurst of water . Don't get fooled by this beauty and get sucked into... My videos shows i am right in the middle of it but i am not . Little close for sure. Rapids were amazing to feel when you are there. Must watch and enjoy . Warning : Safety !!!! Safety !!!!! Safety !!!!
The Burleigh Falls were absolutely beautiful and peaceful. Parking is limited and you have to scramble over some rocks to get to the edge but it’s totally worth it for some up close viewing. Further downstream you can jump off big rocks and swim. A fun stop!
Shallow water with huge rocks. Step on rocks can walk on the shoreline to enjoy the waterfall closely.
Liked it. I visited Burleigh Falls early October and it's a beautiful scenic location. There wasn't a lot of people when I went so I was able to take in and appreciate more closely the serenity and beauty of the place. There were boulders you can climb on and take on a commanding panoramic view of the place. Worth a detour or a mini roadtrip if you're in the area.
A very scenic place. Though not a traditional 'waterfall' kind of waterfall, the place has a nice charm to it. I wish there were some kind of spot to park our vehicles and enjoy the scenery better

Came here on a journey to try their club sandwich. It was great met my expectations. Onion rings were delectable. The Le Bob burger was also delicious. Good portions, good service, cool sports decor, great ambiance.
My husband and I have had the pleasure dining at Six Foot Bay since we moved up to Buckhorn 2 1/2 years ago. We've enjoyed this wonderful restaurant with family, friends and just the two us. The servers have always made our dining experiences special and the food has always been great!! My husband loves the prime rib sandwich; it's his favourite. Last night we enjoyed another wonderful meal. I had the special; rigatoni in a blush sauce with mushrooms, sausage and a splash of a ricotta lemon cream to mix in with my pasta. It was creative and absolutely delicious!! Thank you...
The golf course and greens were in great shape. Great mix of challenging par 3s and opportunities to make birdie on the par 4s. I enjoyed my round. I can’t say the same for the club house vibe. The food was really good. It was really awkward during my meal, there was an issue with the staff during lunch, one of the waitresses was visibly crying and upset. The staff seem to have had some interpersonal issues which affected their morale and my dining experience. Would play here again. I hope the staff sort out their interpersonal issues.
Awesome golf course! Went with friends on a bachelorette trip and they went out of their way to make it a special experience. Course is also in great condition. Food and servers in the restaurant were amazing. Can’t recommend this place enough, will definitely make it a priority to return!!
Was trying to work with Melissa to book an event for 40-50 people. After setting up a time to go see the space l asked for a sample menu and was informed they weren’t interested in our business. Melissa made it seem like I was an inconvenience to their business, not professional at all, and very disappointing.
I wanna say that's it's a beautiful golf course and manicured well with receptive greens that are moderately paced. I get it that it's a cottage resort course, but this is the 2nd time in 3 years playing here and will not be back until things get figured out. The first round was in 35 degree weather and just shy of 6 hours but not going to get into that. Today's round we followed a bunch of drunks playing in a scramble which took 3.5 hours to get through 12 holes. The "Marshall " asked how pace was which explained to him many times it's stupid slow and hard to play behind yet did nothing. For a 10:30am tee time and to be rolling off the course a 3:30pm is unacceptable for $105 for a round and cart. All I can say is the place turned into a alcohol fest not caring about your real golfers.
We were served lunch and attended by three young waitresses at various times on Monday, July 28, 2025. They were bubbly and enthusiastic until things went wrong with one order. Then only rudeness ensued. One waitress appeared totally inconvenienced and angry about the problem order. When another waitress asked us how the meal was, my friend mentioned how rude the waitresses had been, and then the first waitress came back to CHALLENGE us about her rudeness. She gave us a sarcastic apology and then defended her position – in effect a non-apology. She also went on to gossip about kitchen staff which was unprofessional and embarrassing. When I went to the cash, I told one of the waitresses I was overcharged. The waitress tried to make the deduction but could not do the math. I quietly tried to explain to her how to do the math for future customers and she replied ”Are you trying to stress me out?” I said no, I was trying to help her and she said “Well, it sounds like you’re trying to tell me how to do my job!” which she wasn’t doing right because she was overcharging me! Then another waitress gave me a stern “Thank You” as if to dismiss me mid-sentence. I told the three waitresses that this was the worst Customer Service I’ve experienced in a long time, and one of the waitresses cried out “But everybody else likes us!” and “Everybody comes here because of us!” The other waitress said “I’m getting the manager!” The manager came, listened to me, nodded her head, and gave me the correct refund. I told her I could not leave a tip. She understood. CONCLUSION: I’ve never met such ill-equipped, immature service staff in all my life!
Played golf twice here now. Has started becoming an annual thing. Course is in fantastic shape. Played late July and this year early August. Great course. Service is great too.

I first became interested in working with this company by watching Mallory’s videos. They are warm and engaging introductions to Native life and culture, with detailed but accessible and easy-to-understand instructions on choosing products and artifacts. I recommend you get on the mailing list for the emails alone. After acquainting myself with the product line, I got in touch with Mallory, who after understanding my selection parameters made a superb recommendation. The unlined, no-soles moccasins I now own and proudly wear are the most comfortable shoes I own. It’s like being barefoot on a cushion. The leather is super-soft and pliable, but it’s durable, too. I’ll be going back for more, and now my wife wants a pair. Find out why by visiting the website and getting in touch with the company. I think you’ll be glad you did.
We travelled 2.5 hours to check out this store because I love their YouTube videos and thought their store would be amazing to visit. We walked in and the young woman/girl who was behind the counter didn’t greet us or even acknowledge us. We spent some time looking around at everything they had and we were never asked if we needed any help or that help to find something, nothing. We were the only people in the store. Overall, we were disappointed in the store. Not only from the lack of customer service but also from the overall feel of the store. It felt like it was more geared to tourists and not what I expected at all. We went to another Indigenous store in the area, Whetung Ojibwa Centre, and that place did not disappoint. We were greeted with a smile, their items were amazing and it felt like we were walking into something special, something real. Hard to explain with the right words. Tribal Trade I will Not be returning to or recommending.
I purchased online a few copper plated bracelets with healing magnets. I am so pleased with my purchase, they are absolutely beautiful - the photos on the website don't do them justice. The shipping was fast as well. I can't wait to visit the store in person but I will definitely order from your website again. Thanks!
FRIENDLY PROFESSIONAL and GREAT PRODUCTS!! One of my favourite places to shop! Its points system is the most rewarding to be found hands down! I accumulate points quickly and redeem easily. I love taking my granddaughter there, they’re always welcoming and appreciative of her and never uptight about the ‘breakables!’ Rather they make her, and me, feel at home! The gifts I find are treasures and there are particular staples always available. From sage and sweet grass to sweatshirts and sandals I love it all! On one occasion I emailed the store with a message re: an item to purchase arrived a short while later and she had it waiting, a fresh brand new pair of Manitobah Mukluks! I saved on this purchase big time!! Can’t say enough good things about Rosey’s Trading Post!
I would give zero stars if I could. I ordered a lot of things for Christmas and received all but two items (2 dreamcatcher necklaces). I’ve continually tried to get in touch with Tribal Trade and get what I already paid for (or a refund), I have never once been responded to or even acknowledged. Very bad customer experience. I am fed up and will be reporting Tribal Trade to the BBB.
I’d give it less then 1 if I could. They sent part of my order. I waited 10 days before I asked when the rest would arrive. I have messaged, phoned and emailed everyday for 3 weeks. They DO NOT respond in anyway. Poorly managed, poor public relations. I would never purchase from them again. Meanwhile I am out the money I spent and although it was only $15 I do not enough as a senior to throw money away. VERY DISAPPOINTED
Amazing place! Bought my first pair of moccasins here. They didn’t have my size but we’re able to order and have them shipped directly to me. Love going here when I go out that way to visit family.
A really lovely lady who works here was having a break and I had my two young kids with me and needed to get a gift for a friend, I asked the the lady if she could grab what I needed so I didn’t have to come in and bring my two young children. I was very pleased with her kindness and the gift she picked out (dream catcher) is absolutely gorgeous. Thank you so much for your help, it is so greatly appreciated. Jasmine

So incredibly nice!! My family goes here every year when we vacation in the area. This year we purchased something that didn’t work for us personally and the staff was so kind to let me pick out new items for the same value and to keep the original item as well. Wonderful people, please support them and we’ll continue to also!!! Thanks
Have not been there for over a year but when I was it was a fantastic place for indigenous art and souvenirs along with indigenous history of the areat
Very welcoming here to non members!
Covid. Lockdown. What can i, Curtis, say about a place where only good memories abound. I got raise and new swag. Beautiful Sunshine dancing in the Rain.
Absolutely beautiful up there and it would be good beautiful crew growing and for when I seen up there I'd love to move there it is so beautiful💯🏞🏖✌✌
What an amazing place, and the pow wow was so much fun to watch. Will definitely be coming back next year
They're just in the process of renovating and reorganizing but I can tell it will be awesome with lots of artifacts to see :)

*Edit* After reading another review saying locals told him they haven't seen bears in years. I'm local and haven't seen bears recently either. However you may notice my picture of bear droppings not a month after that review and about 200 m from my campsite. Always be diligent just because you don't see bears doesn't mean they're not there.
Moor at Lovesick and walk about Wolf Is or portage through. Amazing spot to overnight and hang out for a day or two.
Beautiful place friends and I head to every year on a houseboat. Love it.
Amazing place .great fishing
Lovely area to paddle in, with amazing antique system of rollers that you can portage you canoe or kayak with at one of the locks. Beaut scenery, but water very full of plant growth, making it not lovely for swimming. Lots of small wild life and large birds.
Awesome place. If you looking for a fun hike there is an awesome trail marked with red ribbons going north at the dam where the island meets the main land (keen eyes required and a kayak or canoe if staying on the east side of the island). Cheers
Wolf Island is mostly crown land, which means you can camp without any fees. We went in at 28 with a rental canoe and did a small (20m) portage. Really nice landings just after the dam.
We tied up to the shore for 3 days of piece and quite.

First time going and WOW!! Best place ever to shop for great produce at a reasonable price. Staff was beyond helpful. I even had to hug one of them for being so kind. I am not a "creepy" person, but it just seemed like the right thing to do at the time 😅. Will definitely be my new go to place
I went to there store on Thursday July 25/24 and bought horseradish and two loafs of bread . The bread had no price for it on the shelf in front of it and it looked good it was STE. Anne’s bakery gluten- free on Almond milk and the other Five seed . My bill was $33.30 for three items ! Wow I thought but I paid and left the store, I live in peterborough and look at my bill and seen that I was charged $12.59 for a loaf of bread the would expire the next day , with the prices in store been far to high this price of bread it out of this world and they should be ashamed of themselves charging that much of any type of bread. I will never go to that over priced store again.
I originally found this place on the way to a friend’s cottage and instantly fell in love with the selection and the freshness of their produce. The variety is fantastic, and the team is always so friendly and welcoming. A hidden gem worth stopping for!
I bought some of the most exquisite Earl Grey tea here. I also got some parmesan crisps - the best! Will be returning to buy baby clothes for a new mama and maybe some candles for me. This place is awesome!
The owner’s Denise and Lee are just amazing. Customer services to the roof🫶🫶. The qualities and the variety is a one stop shop. The bakery and all freshness’s or the veggies and fruit wow.
Excellent quality of produce, great prices for the quality and curation of groceries and other items. My favourite food shop in the area and the staff is always so friendly and helpful.
I love this store. The produce is the best I have seen anywhere and the selection of fine foods has been thoughtfully curated. Meats and cheeses are also excellent quality. The staff is welcoming and Lee and Denise are warm and knowledgeable.
The Market has outstanding service; Lee and Denise and all the staff are friendly and helpful. Lee is incredibly knowledgeable and is always available to answer any questions. The produce is of highest quality. The cheeses, meat, baked goods and ready to eat food that is prepared on site is also delicious. They have a wide selection of specialty items as well. I am so grateful to have this wonderful market available to shop at.
