A fantastic visitor centre in a cool town. Lots to see from memorabilia, props from the series, collectibles and a gift shop with plenty to buy. The staff were very friendly too. A must stop if you are a Star Trek fan at any level!
Absolutely adorable and well worth the stop if you're a Trekkie!!! I was charmed and memorized beyond belief by Vulcan and their quirky embrace of all things Star Trek in town. The Tourism & Trek Centre had a great selection of tourist information and a cute little gift store in addition to a few small exhibits.
Okay, if you are a Star Trek fan... you just need to go. You just do, I took my Dad, and he enjoyed the tourism center. When we went there was a random guy dancing. It was a blast. There are a few things to look at all over town, but the true gem is the convention.
Loved this place! There are so many subtle Star Trek references throughout the town. The town itself is named after the Roman god, so don't expect everyone and everything to be Trek-referenced, but the Trek Centre is a great place to visit for any Trekkie, with a Holodeck museum (all the costumes in there are made by a very talented local) and merch from across the series on display.
A very fun place to visit if you like Star Trek (any of them). Free to get in and great souvenirs in the gift shop. Easy parking even if you have an RV. And the town has a couple of restaurants for food.
If you are a Trekkie it is a must stop. The ladies were so lovely and there was a lot of memorbilia to see. Lots of picture opportunities and souvenirs.
Fun and interesting place to visit, especially if you are a Trekkie.
We really enjoyed this visitor center and Star Trek museum. There is a smaller room of Star Trek memorabilia that is donations.

Items are clean and well presented. It was an excellent collection of artifacts and items and the kids enjoyed browsing them. We especially liked the school setup, as well as the collection of phones. The pay phone booth made me feel old. Great little museum. Would highly recommend.
We arrived in September and of course, that is not tourist season and Alberta just went back to a higher level for Covid. We did not have our Vaccination information with us because we started our trip before the higher Covid protocols were put into place. The tourism information centre was of course, closed because it was not tourist season. Very pretty town and the starship street lights are a cute touch. We couldn't eat in restaurants because of the Covid protocols so this time it was not a great first impression and I can only rate our visit at 2 stars this trip.
It was closed but I discovered that the Star Trek themed Tourist Information site was open. I thought it was great
Nice little spot. Fun and friendly. Not a ton of stuff to see but I enjoyed what they had
I’m not much of a Star Trek fan but the museum was very underwhelming. There are only a few exhibits, the green screen experience was closed, and there was a gift shop that was adequate. Unless you are a Star Trek fanatic pass on this one.
The lady at the front was so sweet and knowledgeable
The museum is a volunteer board charged with the preservation of artifacts and documents from Vulcan County in particular Vulcan and district. It is a small museum open to the public during the summer. They have a very interactive museum which takes you back in time. The school room with all the rules teachers had to follow is very impressive.
My husband and I stop here at least once a year. Only a 45 minute drive from Calgary

This market has all your staple items and quite a bit more. You can get your full grocery list of items here and they do quite well at competing with larger market pricing considering the location. The deli offers fresh sandwiches and hot meals for lunch that are very tasty. A good place to stop in for groceries or to grab lunch on the go.
Always a clean and free endly atmosphere plenty of fresh made and lunch items if you are iin a rush and don't want to pay high fast-food prices. This time of year the Klondike chili is the best meal in town
Clean and well stocked, but the prices on many items are disappointing even for a small town store. Last week it was 6.99 for 4 apple fritters, this week is 6.99 for 2. It’s worth the trip to high river or strathmore to shop.
Always good, the staff are always friendly. Prices are a little high, but that's typical of small town shopping.
meats nice. boss ladywith big mouth i could do with out lol. havent even made it to the till yet.thats another story.
For a small town store it is very well stocked and the staff is very friendly and helpful. That part is awesome, however it is overpriced even for a small town store and now I'm finding that the majority of staff expect you to bag your own groceries. They used to put them in bags and seriously for what we're paying for groceries they should still be bagging them for us. I get that their all probably underpaid but that's on the owners not the customers.
One of the best supermarkets around for choice and variety. Punches above its weight.
Great place to shop. Wonderful staff.

The fact this whole town has taken on he "Star Trek Vulcan" image is awesome!! The course is a nice mix of 'old small town Alberta' and new Les Furber design gave this track 2 completely different 9s. Having played many small town courses the front 9 is very typical of this type of course with old growth trees and smaller greens. The back 9 is very typical of most Furber designs with wide fairways, large greens and large bunkers. Very forgiving. The staff was friendly and the food was good. If I had one complaint it would be that they do not sell their tee box markers which are amazing. I would recommend a stop here for most avid golfers (get directions to the 10th tee).
Great little course! Older front nine but the back nine is worth the drive out!! It’s a great layout and fun to play!! Green fees are worth it to come out!
Enjoy the course golfed 6 times this year. Recent horrible experience where when we got to the 10th multiple new groups were starting and had to wait 1/2 hr. Put us into men’s league and the players had no etiquette and hit balls at us and told us it’s best if we leave. Emailed the manager and no response was given. League player obviously are there priority
I just read another review and it all makes sense now. This course states beginner friendly. We were harassed off the course by unfriendly golfers in front of us and behind us. My party of 3 included my parents and myself, we only had 2 people on the cart at all times, yet a staff member came to us and stated there was multiple complaints that we had 3 people on our cart. I’m guessing this was made up or people didn’t want to wait for us to golf as we were just beginners. I guess we just couldn’t enjoy our day of golfing, we were going to eat here but forget that i definitely don’t feel comfortable around the staff or golfers at this place. Never going to be coming back here.
If you are visiting and do not have clubs, do not go here. I rented a set that costed $30 and they wouldn’t give me wedges with it despite me asking, so I was unable to chip the entire round. What’s worse, my friend is left handed and was planning to share a set with his brother, and they forced him to rent. Now I understand that many courses do that, but they did not have a set of men’s clubs for him to use, so they made him rent ladies or he wasn’t allowed to play. The lady working the front desk was rude about them asking for an exception due to the course not having the right clubs. All in all, the actual course itself is relatively nice, but the whole experience was just not fun. Do not recommend.
Had phoned and booked teetime at 7: 54. Drove from langdon. Upon arrival were informed that they had a tournament and no one should have booked times. We had to be past hole 10 in 1hr 10 min. Might get 15 holes in. No one called to inform us! Never offered apology or reduced rate! Was going to charge full rate so we left without hitting a ball. Very Unprofessional!!!
Great little restaurant with really good food and service. Back again. Still good food and service. Friendly and helpful staff. Only issue is that we sat outside and eventually had a bunch of golfers sit beside us in the no smoking area. Started smoking, three of them, sitting right under and beside the no smoking signs in the gazebo. Went and sat inside, because of the smoke and wind, mentioned the subject/issue to an employee, no response at all. But still a good visit all in all.
The course states that they are beginner friendly. Although my group was harassed off the course on our first hole by unfriendly staff. Yelling at us for not being pros. Do not bring you family or friends here if they are not pro golfers. How are you supposed to learn to golf when beginner friendly courses are harassing paying customers. ☹️
