If you're thinking about diving into an authentic immersion program, this is it! This is the one! I came across Na'atik after researching a few others and opted to reach out for more info. I chose this program because it was off the grid and not in an area that has been widely popularized by tourism. I felt like if I wanted a true immersion, I shouldn't go to a town where most of the people spoke English fluently. I also loved the fact that this is a non profit and the proceeds help the English language program for the local community. The school responded quickly and their response was so professional and comprehensive! I booked the trip and began to plan. I chose to do a home stay and that was the best decision ever. My host family was so wonderful and welcoming! They were attentive and considerate. I was very comfortable, well fed and they made me feel right at home. I literally fell in love with this family and plan to keep in touch. I thoroughly appreciated the opportunity to live as a local for two weeks. The entire experience was impactful and actually put so much into perspective for me, coming from Texas. I had classes daily, and the school scheduled tours and activities for me. I also had free time to explore on my own and spend time with my host family. I would recommend this program to everyone! Go with an open mind . Be ready to adjust to their way of life! I learned so much and I'm so motivated to continue learning the language. Everyone at the school was a joy to work with and readily accessible for my many questions.
