Absolutely amazing experience. Really enjoyed the aviary experience. Great fun with the birds and a really informative and engaging experience on the walk through. Stunning botanical gardens and picnic areas set against the incredible vista of the glasshouse mountains. We had such an amazing day and it was very reasonable prices. A wonderful day out, highly recommended.
Such a wonderful place for adults and kids! Bird world is a pretty special experience. The cafe is good, all staff very friendly and the gardens are beautiful and the little petting farm is cute too. Definitely recommend as somewhere to goof you haven’t been. I took my partner there, and we had a great time!
We visited Bird World in Maleny and focused mainly on the guided bird tour, and it was absolutely incredible. The experience was highly interactive, with birds landing on us throughout the tour, including macaws, parrots, and cockatoos. Sometimes we had multiple birds at a time sitting on us. Truly unforgettable. Our guide, Lidia, was warm, knowledgeable, and fantastic at reading both the birds’ comfort levels and the visitors’. She clearly knows her stuff and cares deeply about the wellbeing of the birds, which made the whole experience even better. We also took a brief walk around the gardens, which were beautifully maintained and incredibly picturesque. The park itself has a lovely café with views stretching out to the Glass House Mountains, a perfect spot to unwind after the tour. There is also a petting zoo for the kids with a large assortment of different animals for them to enjoy. If you love birds, go to this place. It’s an amazing experience and absolutely worth the visit.
We had the most beautiful day. Beautiful gardens, stunning bird aviary with plenty of interaction with the birds, the gorgeous animals in the animal farm, full Devonshire Tea with the biggest scones I've ever seen & so delicious, a perfect sunny day & the most helpful, informative and wonderful staff. A perfect day. 🥰 We did have a cart that enabled us to get around this huge garden, it certainly is something I would recommend. Even though it is winter when we visited the gardens are still stunning, I certainly will be returning though when the huge rose garden is blooming. I highly recommend a visit & say to you Malany Botanical Gardens & Bird Aviary be very very proud of what you have, it is a special place to visit. 🥰
We , 4 adults and 3 children, had a wonderful afternoon here. The botanic gardens are fabulous . The bird tour was so well done and it was fun being interactive. The birds are pretty, so entertaining and look happy. There was so much to see . We were there until closing but could have stayed longer. There are plenty of lovely spots to have a picnic . The cakes we had from the cafe were delicious. ( only minor disappointment was coffee was no longer available just after 3 pm ) thoroughly recommend a trip here and would definitely come back.
I had such an awesome time at the Maleny Botanical Gardens and Bird Sanctuary! 🌿🦜 The entry price was very reasonable, especially for everything that was included. You get to wander through the beautiful botanical gardens, which are peaceful, well-kept, and full of stunning plants and scenery. On top of that, there are some animals to see along the way, which added a nice surprise. The highlight for me, though, was definitely the Bird Sanctuary tour. It’s made up of Four different sanctuaries—two are non-interactive, and the other two are interactive. The interactive ones were so much fun, with the birds actually sitting on your arms, shoulders, and even your head! One cheeky bird even gave me a little nip, which made for a funny memory. The whole experience was a mix of beauty, fun, and laughter, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a great day out. Five stars from me—absolutely worth the visit! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Fantastic day out for families. The aviary tour was fun and interactive. You can grab a yummy coffee and some nibbles and venture to any of the many little seated areas or gazebos around the gardens with views to die for. Would highly recommend the buggy hire! This was such a highlight of our weekend and will definitely be back.
A good experience in a fantastic location. The gardens & the bird show were both memorable experiences, as was the location itself, overlooking the beautiful glasshouse mountains. We paid the extra $12 each for the guided tour, but I would advise others to book this in advance, we almost missed out. The tour was wonderful, there were many up close experiences with the many beautiful species. The tour host was lovely & informative, just make sure you don't try to take home a feather for a memento, that is not allowed. Please note that the $27 adult entry fee to the park & bird world doesn't get you anywhere near the birds you will want to get close to, so it's actually $39 each. Definitely worth the trip, follow it up with a meal/shop/walk around beautiful Maleny, what a great place!!

Family outing - visitors from Vancouver BC - an educational experience for children and adults. Interesting displays - friendly staff - a great walk through the forest. Met up with one of the volunteers - Carmel - thank you for explaining a lot of interesting facts about the plants and birds. A well run and organised Tourist Attraction!
Beautiful views, the food there is yummy, but I do wish they had a few more salads and healthier options. Thus the 4 stars. Being a diabetic you are always looking for healthier options. The staff were helpful and friendly and the atmosphere is just lovely. The walks 🚶‍♂️ through the reserve are beautiful. My advice is to go slow, so many people miss interesting stuff because they are in too much of a rush. Things like the trap door spiders and the worms /grubs that drag green sticks into there underground holes munching on the end until they disappear down the hole. There is a hanging birds nest over the creek that no one much seems to notice. Beautiful, peaceful walk!💖
It is a conservation park located on the Blackall Range east of Maleny, in the Sunshine Coast Region, Queensland, Australia. It is about 90 minutes from Coolum beach by car. Public transport takes longer. The reserve is located in the mountain rainforests of the Maleny region overlooking the Glass House Mountains. The 55-hectare reserve consists of subtropical rainforest, which are mainly located in the north-east parts of Australia. The Cairncross reserve has an area of 530,000 square metres and reaches a peak canopy of 440 m. The main species of tree is the Australian red cedar. Strangler figs and fungi are some of the other plants found here. You can spend several hours here depending on your interests. Popular place, lots of tourists and locals. Uneven terrain, lot of walking, mostly under tree shade. You will likely see small wildlife along the tracks as you wander about. Animals include about 140 birds. There's a large car park, barbecue and a cafe. Toilets available. Entry fees apply. Gift/souvenir shop available on site. Friendly staff and great service. Wear comfy shoes, take water, wear hat, sunscreen. Great place for photography.
Stunning scenery and pure forest air — a place where you can truly relax and breathe in nature. It’s my second visit, and every time feels just as special. Everyone who comes here falls in love with the calm and beauty. A perfect escape from busy life.
Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve has great walking trails and a magnificent view of the Glasshouse Mountains from the ample car park. There are public toilets here, and picnic tables where you can bring your portable BBQ to grill at. Just next door you have Mountain View Cafe, which, although a little pricey, has a lot of your refreshment needs covered. Not too far from Maleny, this is a great place to schedule in a couple of hours on your weekend getaway.
It's always delightful to walk amongst the rainforest trees, hearing the birdsong, maybe catching sight of a wallaby. And of course, the view of the glasshouse mountains is superb.
Beautiful spot for a coffee and a gorgeous walk through subtropical rainforest. The cafe on-site has a good range of options and decent coffee, which is handy if you want a pre or post walk meal, and views of the Glasshouse mountains. The entry to the rainforest walk is through the Rainforest discovery centre and the volunteer staff are super helpful. The walks themselves are easy, and on well maintained tracks and offer beautiful views and if you're lucky, you could spot a wee pademelon 🥰 Toilets on-site and parking on-site also. Highly recommend this experience and making the gold coin donation on your visit (@ the discovery centre) to keep the research and conservation efforts going ahead 😀
Loved Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve ❤️❤️❤️ I booked the guided tour for myself and 3 friends which started at 10. Arrive early for a toilet stop and an opportunity to have a look around the visitor centre, which was informative. There's also a banging restaurant which is open for breakfast and lunch, the coffee smelt amazing. Our Volunteer guide Trevor was fabulous, I thought that I knew alot about the environment but I clearly do not. We were fortunate to arrive after some rain and there were loads of birds out communicating. We were even lucky enough to see some Pademelen's fossicking for food. The guided tour goes for an hour and a half and is well worth the $5. There's also a big park with BBQs and seating perfect for a big family outing.

What an awesome experience! Very educational, I asked so many questions and learnt so much. And had so much fun feeding the calves. Had to give my shoes a good scrub when I got home, so don’t wear your favourite sneakers! 😅 Well worth doing the tour, regardless of age! (We are 36 & 40).
This a really lovely dairy farm. Staffs were lovely, areas are clean and the animals very well looked after. The tour was great and the dairy taste test was my favourite part. Just make sure your children are under supervision all times so they don't scare the animals.
Absolutely fantastic experience! Beautiful surrounds, an informative and hands-on tour of the facility, with tastings of delicious Maleny Dairies milk, yoghurt and custard products. Nice little cafe on site too. A+ overall! 🐮👌😊
Awesome place, highly recommended! Great for all ages, we took our 2yr olds and they had a ball. The tour guide Tatjana did a great tour and explained the whole process really well. You also get to feed calf’s on the tour and taste their products. The cafe is awesome, there’s scones with jam and (their fresh) cream, pies, sausage rolls, coffee, milk shakes etc. Sheep wander around you while at the cafe, which sits in a beautiful spot overlooking the farm, it’s a great experience, we’ll be back!
My son drinks this milk for 3 years. I enjoy buying local produce. We visited the farm with a tour. It's very informative and gives a good understanding what a great work this family is doing. We had a change to try the milk straight from the cow, bottle feed a young cow and see the whole production lines. The production is closed on Saturday. Overall, nice experience. Lovely green area to just chill and try some produce. Kids can safely run around.
Cool experience in QLD. Loved the taste tests and the guy who took us around was very experienced. Good for the family, kids get to touch/pet/feed the young cows and learn so much about how milk gets in our fridges. These photos are also the scenery around Maleny Dairies.
Our group of three families visited and we all agreed that it exceeded our expectations and us adults enjoyed it just as much as the kids! We fed a calf and got up close and personal, the tour guide was very patient with the kids asking lots of questions, the milk, cream and custard is to die for! Support a local family owned business and have a great time!
Such a fun experience! Loved getting to love on the cows, learn heaps, and try the product! We had a wonderful tour guide as well - he was funny, informative, and personable. Absolutely beautiful Farm! Great time!

Although it’s a small waterfall, it’s an ideal spot for a natural pool experience. If you love playing in the water, this place is not to be missed—definitely worth a visit! It’s only a one- to two-hour drive from Brisbane or the Gold Coast. My dog, who usually avoids swimming pools, probably because of the chemicals, went absolutely wild here. The water is very cool in early summer, but that also means fewer people around. It’s a photographer’s paradise, so if you love water and photography, you should definitely check it out!
Visited Gardners Falls around 10:30 am on a weekday and had the place almost entirely to myself. I went for a swim about halfway downstream before the main waterfall with the rope swing. The water was definitely cold—probably around 8–10 degrees—but incredibly refreshing, like a natural ice bath. The peace and quiet made for a really enjoyable experience. I’ve been here before on a Saturday around midday, and it was a completely different story—packed with people and nowhere to park. I ended up leaving that time, so I’d definitely recommend coming early in the morning or during the week if you’re after a quieter visit. The surrounding nature is beautiful, and I even spotted a turtle sunbaking on the rocks. No platypus sightings this time, but it’s easy to see why they’d avoid the busier periods. One thing to keep in mind: don’t assume the water is deep everywhere—some parts are surprisingly shallow, even if they don’t look it. All up, it’s a great spot for a midweek swim and a bit of time in nature—just time your visit right.
A Hidden Gem in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. Gardners Falls is an absolute treasure nestled just outside Maleny. The short, easy walk along Obi Obi Creek is perfect for all ages and leads to a stunning waterfall and natural swimming hole. The area is surrounded by lush rainforest, making it an ideal spot for a refreshing dip or a peaceful picnic. The rope swings add a fun touch for the adventurous, and the shallow rock pools are great for kids to splash around safely. Parking is convenient, and the path is well maintained. Just be carefull when walking on the rocks near the falls. Whether you're a local or just visiting, Gardners Falls offers a serene escape into nature. Highly recommended. As always, if you are walking near water with kids, always keep your eyes on them. Also note, we had trouble with Telstra and Optus reception in that area, and could not make any calls. This could be different for other carriers or other phones, but just be wary about that if you chose to go.
This is such a beautiful place to relax, have a swim and connect with nature. There's grassed areas to have a picnic and a drop toilet onsite. I highly recommend for a relaxing day out
Best time to visit is during the week to avoid the crowds and after some rain so that the creek and falls are pumping! Plenty of parking and easy 300m walk to main falls. Track is mostly all bitumen with some water running across in places after recentrains. Great little walk to great little falls! We really enjoyed our experience here.
Quick short walk form the parking spot to Gardener Falls. Bit of a popular spot. It wasn't the hottest day, but still plenty of people tossing themselves into the water from the top of the falls. Probably about a 3m drop. There is a tree swing set up, but we weren't game enough to give it a try. Parking lot is a bit small and gets quite tight with with all the large cars these days. There are roadside parks available on the way down though, doesn't add much to the journey.
Easy to walk psth to see the terraced falls..a romatic location to picnic or place for beautiful photos. Nice to be in nature.
Gardners Falls is a beautiful and relaxing spot surrounded by nature, perfect for a short walk and a swim when the water is flowing. Unfortunately, when I visited yesterday, it was during the dry season, so the water level was quite low and the falls weren’t as impressive as usual. Still, the area is peaceful and worth a visit — I’ll definitely come back again after some rain to see it in its full beauty.

Definitely recommend stopping into this winery. Staff were all very friendly, the service was quick, the food was fresh and tasty, and there was a great selection of wines to choose from. The outdoor seating makes for a very relaxing and picturesque place to enjoy your meal and drink.
Loved the view, love the concept of sharing platters. Loved the wine option. Friendly staff, great outdoor sitting to be a part of nature. I recommend Clouds Vineyard as a great place to have a break from a long drive. It's a pleasurable recharge station for your soul.
We came here during the easter holidays. The menu was very limited, so we had fish and chips (good) and mexican cornchips, they were so good! They also sell many different wines from their cellar, we didnt try them because we were driving but I think this would be ideal part of the experience.
A-may-sing venue, right in the middle of Maleny. Just a quick search from Brisbane, and we ended up coming here in an hour time. It's worth the drive, though. Great setup, design, ambience. Just one star missing from that of 5 is for that missing star service. By the time we reached, it was past 2.30 pm, and luckily, their last order was just 2.45 pm. Hopefully, the team will get there to cover up that extra mile. No complaints, though. Our food was exceptional and kept us satisfied for the drive. I'm looking forward to coming down with a bunch of friends in the near future. The barrel just got added to my fav weekend chills. Cheers, team, you guys did well.
Wonderful location, great wine and beer flights and the food was great.
Love this place we have been three times in the past two months. As a young family it was awesome to have a playground in eye shot of of our table, as for the food I really enjoyed it and highly recommend the share plates, mains and desserts. The coffee (which isn't the best coffee in the world) and cake deal is good value and my family and I always get the cheesecake as it's a favourite. The tasting paddles are good value and give you a great little sample of the wines and are worth checking out. If you're going on a weekend be sure to book as it gets busy.
$103 dollars on 2 burgers, 1 glass of wine and the beer paddle, including the Saturday surcharge. Pretty overpriced and the burgers were honestly not that nice. They were quite bland and similar to a simple burger you could make at home yourself. Quite disappointing with the views also. Instead of having the carpark at the front of the venue and seating at the rear to make the most of the view, it was the other way round. Beer and wine were good.
Beautiful & calming… 2 words for this place. It’s got a lovely view of the rainforest, served some amazing wines. We didn’t had booking therefore couldn’t have lunch but I’m sure it would be equally amazing. Looking forward to visit again with a booking and try their lunch.

Amazing panoramic vista! Worth stopping to take in the magnificent view
A really nice view of the Glasshouse Mountains. Much better than at Mary Cairncross Park and the Mountain View Cafe. And it’s free!
Great vantage point to view the beautiful landscape of the Glasshouse Mountains. Would be even better with a little food van parked up. 😆👍🏼
Beautiful spot, good cover and great wind.
Beautiful scenic drive to the lookout. The lookout itself features a stunning view of The Glass House Mountains. Amenities include a fairly large carpark and picnic tables... no restrooms though. Drones are prohibited here. The general area is perfect for weddings or honeymoons.
Find this place on the way to glass house mountain this place great specially you can see the views of glass house mountain and you don’t need to walk to see the views just park your car and enjoy the views.
Amazing views and well worth the walk but some of the tracks have a lot of large lose rocks and make the going difficult with a lot of potential for rolled ankles or slips if you aren't set up for the wall. The end of the trail involves a bit of a climb... but the views are spectacular and well worth the effort

The view is absolutely stunning, and you can really feel the cool, refreshing breeze. A nice little spot to stretch your legs, take some photos, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Definitely worth a visit if you’re passing through!
Located on the Maleny - Montville Road , a pit stop for great view of the Hinterland. Would be nice if there’s change of colors Pretty strong wind when we were there. Worth a visit if you’re on the route
Gerard’s Lookout is one of those hidden-gem stops along the Blackall Range tourist drive that you really shouldn’t miss. Perched high above the Sunshine Coast hinterland, it offers sweeping, uninterrupted views all the way out to the coastline, with lush valleys and rolling hills in between. On a clear day, you can see for miles – perfect for photography or just taking in the fresh mountain air. There’s a reasonably-sized parking area, making it easy to pull over straight off the road. It’s not a large attraction, so you won’t spend more than 15–20 minutes here unless you’re picnicking, but as a scenic stop, it’s excellent. The only reason I’ve given it four stars instead of five is that there’s limited shade and seating, so on hot days it can get warm quickly. If you’re exploring the hinterland between Maleny and Montville, Gerard’s Lookout is the perfect spot to pause, stretch your legs, and soak up one of the best views in the region. The land for the Lookout was donated by the Gerard family. That is where the name comes from.
Limited parking space and might get crowded if all people coming at the same time. The view was amazing and worth the stop, chill and relax. Theres a gazebo but with limited table and chair.
Great free lookout with distance views of the Sunshine Coast. Lovely breeze on a hot day.
Nice view of the valley. Worth a quick stop if you're driving past, but not worth driving as a destination itself.
This isolated little place is a good stop off for travellers heading along the east coast to/from Noosa. There are loos and information boards explaining the features of the landscape, but not much else. The views over the Glasshouse Mountains are spectacular, and there’s a little 800m trail you can take through the forest to stretch your legs. Not sure why the Google form talks about tickets - this place is free to enter and park.
Beautiful calm place with good parking facilities. The scenery is wonderful on all sides and the drive was quite pleasant. I went when it was cloudy and I can't imagine how beautiful it would be when it's sunny with clear skies. Such a beautiful and peaceful place to be.

Just for a reference… start of the track is at the back of the show ground, but you can basically jump on anywhere. It was actually a really nice walk. It was paved most of the way. There crosses through the town centre, passed by the golf course and have wonderful valley views. We didn’t hurry through and spent time really trying to find the Platypus. It took us about 2hrs. Well worth it
Bit of a walk that starts down the hill from the town centre. The start of the track looks somewhat recently done up. Easy path to follow, with some stone art displays set up at regular intervals. There is a Platypus viewing platform about a quarter of the way around, but if you go in the middle of the day, you're unlikely to see any (they'll be asleep). They're crepuscular, so best time to catch them will be dusk and dawn. Path gets a little confusing a bit further on though, as it takes you through a golf course, and there's a bit of shared path, where golf buggies were driving past. We turned back when we hit the course, but a good walk till then.
Lovely easy walk near Obi Obi Creek. Mainly boardwalk, formal & gravel paths. Little off trail tracks down to the water. Can contine in to do Maleny Trail or turn around. Dog friendy, family friendly. Easy parking
Nice but smallish walk along the Obi Obi river. The community felled all the invasive and non-native greenery here and then replaced it with native rainforest trees in 1996. Amazing how well it has grown up over 29 years.
Not really what we expected. Given it's called a "boardwalk" we envisaged more than the first 20-30m or so being actual boardwalk. The only bit is shown in my pictures, which runs from the main road to the next somewhat disappointing bit of the "boardwalk", which is a concrete pathway that runs nowhere near the creek at all. It's up through fields. It's pretty enough and pleasant for sure, just not what you'd reasonably expect given the description. Unfortunately, no platypus to be seen either after the walk there (not only because the creek is not visible from the pathway at all for about 80% of the circa 3km walk), but also because it seems there's slim to no chance of seeing them unless it's early morning or evening time.
Short and very pretty walk from the showgrounds to the middle of town. Good for a stroll after breakfast or lunch.
Obi Boardwalk is a short walk along Obi Creek. It is near the town of Maleny up in the hills near Sunshine Coast. Its main street has a variety of interesting stores and the people are very welcoming and hospitable. This is not by any means a hike or trek however. This is a short walkway about 200 meters in distance. Pleasant enough but nothing special either.
This boardwalk continues on to a path, which eventually leads to the Platypus viewing platform and Beersheba Living Museum. It runs alongside the Obi Obi creek. The walk itself is calm and relaxing. However, there isn't much to see.

Jim has been selling veges since time immemorial. He's always friendly and up for a quick chat. The veges have always been good and seasonal and the prices are very good. You can buy from the farm on weekdays.
I love the Witta Market. It's small and easy to park, great range of food, vegetables and crafts and is dog friendly. There is always live music to sit and enjoy.
Lovely local market with fresh produce and other interesting items.
Such a beautiful and relaxing market. The setting is gorgeous.
This was a beautiful market although some of the stalls were expensive. The atmosphere is very relaxing. I bought the best roasted salted caramel macadamia nuts ever and also scored my vegan cheese from Daniel. Many talented people work this market. Well worth the drive😍
Great stalls music and shady trees.

She had a beautiful warm and welcoming vibe about her. The coffee was PERFECT, in fact I haven’t had a coffee that nice in ages - both the soy and normal coffee were great :) A really quirky and welcoming little space with some really cool stuff, I recommend stopping in if you’re driving by!

Also upstairs the Owner has Accommodation. WoW Factor it's so Quirky alot of vintage, artistic, funky, Grooviest items in furniture, art, so many Great Stuff to look @ with this huge spa bath. They have leaflets @ the counter in the shop, got pix so you can see it or just ask if it's free/unattended to have a look b4 you book in. Have to update some photos of the clothing I brought from them. Thx again guys.🙏
I was travelling through with my daughter and we decided to check out this quaint shop. I’m so extremely happy that we did. They have Soooo much variety and uniqueness in the quality items they have stocked in this amazing shopping experience- searching to find your very own gem… BUT I guarantee you that you’ll definitely find more than 1 gem. The staff are welcoming and friendly and the stock in store is absolutely fabulous. Will definitely be making another trip in the near future to find… some more gems 😉
Absolutely amazing shop, found out there's also other stores the owner runs. Worth checking out. After a conversation with the owner I was Impressed and inspired by a great business woman. I love vintage and quirky, much rather spend my money here than fast fashion and same old same old.
Freaking cool shop! Bit pricey.

Great library! Lots of computers available, as well as places to plug in to charge electronics, and the staff are friendly and attentive. Best of all there is a window seat with sunshine streaming in overlooking a nearby playground that is just perfect for curling up and reading in. On my visit there was a quotation painted on the main panel of the window - someone has obviously spent some time designing this library to be a cut above the rest! 10/10!
Informative and friendly staff, beautiful location and comfortable layout. But it's a tad small, but, well, where would a suitable relocation be? It's invariably busy so an upgrade is inevitable, but where?!?
I found a refuge in this cosy library in very rainy day. Really it is a nice place to spend time chilling / reading or chatting with people, very welcoming!
Love the views from the reading books, sometimes a platypus playing in the creek.
Great location. Very picturesque. Friendly and helpful staff. Easily accessible in the middle of Maleny. Read and Write for Life "free" classes are held on Wednesday afternoons.
Very kind and respectful of all.
For the most part of this library is adequate with lovely staff. However, I have placed a reservation twice on a popular book and gone in to pick it up within the 10 day pick up period and the staff have loaned the book out to other people without being willing to apologise for their mistakes. It is very frustrating when driving into town especially for a book.
Beautiful locale and definitely the best library in town.

Thanks to Helen at the visitors centre, who recommended the short walk to the platypus viewing station. When we expressed doubts about seeing a platypus during the day, she assured us that there had been day sightings and, sure enough, we were lucky enough to see a platypus swimming around for several minutes. Thanks Helen for a lovely experience!
The volunteers were very welcoming and helpful.
5 stars to the staff at Maleny Visitors Information Centre. As new owners of Ocean View Caravan & Tourist Park not far away my self and our guests find their friendly service and information invaluable. Nothing is too much trouble, always have a welcome and a smile. Well worth a visit as they have much more than information. An asset to the Hinterland and it's visitors, not forgetting residents as well, particularly new comers like us running a business. Well done!!!
Friendly local staff, with local knowledge - I recommend the Maleny Information Centre to our holiday accommodation guests all the time to find what's on, and they always comment on how helpful they were. A bonafide "one-stop-shop!" Thanks for this wonderful community service.
This is a great little visitor information centre in the middle of Maleny's main street. I've dealt with the centre as a resident and a tourism business owner (Montville Grove Cottages) and found the volunteers to be helpful and well-informed. They're also proactive about producing local information guides and the brochure displays don't just include accommodation and attractions but also local services and events.
Such friendly and helpful volunteers sharing great insights into Maleny. I visit them regularly to keep in touch with what's happening locally and to see their smiling faces.
The Maleny Information Centre is a great place to go to find information on anything you may want or need in Maleny and the surrounding area, the volunteers are a great bunch of friendly and knowledgable people - a very interesting place to visit - great brochures too!
Maleny Visitor Information Centre in Maple Street is the most comprehensive and knowledgeable location to go to when enquiring about the region. The friendly staff are always more than helpful and go out of their way to make sure your enquiry is met. As a supplier in the area, I feel very fortunate to be able to liaise with the Maleny Visitor Information Centre. Their communication and organisation has been outstanding and a pleasure to work with.

We simply loved this spot! The view is breathtaking. It is a great place to just sit back, relax, and enjoy the view. A place which is definitely worth the visit.
Nice view, entry is the little street before it. No 636
Awesome picnic area breathtakingly amazing views plenty of parking
One of our favourite places to chill & take in the views. Dog friendly. Love it!
Love this spot the views are fantastic. Always make it a stop off point when on the bike. Get a drink and of course a pie and stop off to enjoy that view.
This lookout is one of the best. You can park your car under the big tree and look easterly to the Sunshine Coast. One if the best times to visit is Winter when you will see amazing views. Don't forget your camera.
Beautiful little spot to have a break and take in the gorgeous views.
Great easterly views over the whole sunshine coast. Picnic tables and parking. You might spot a paraglider if the wind is onshore.

We had the pleasure of hiring the Maleny Community Centre Main Hall and Verandah Room, in March. The whole exploratory and booking experience from start to finish exceeded our expectations. Jacqui, the venue manager is an absolute legend, so approachable and no question is too much trouble, she is happy to help answer anything we wanted clarifying. Jacqui was also very accomodating for us to make visits to the venue before deciding to make a booking. The facilities are just beautiful and the charm of the venue and surrounds is magical. The self service nature to the venue entry on day of event, is so easy and so well thought out to make it a very easy process for event organisers. The toilet facilities in the Main Hall and Verandah room are great for a large scale event, and the overnight toilet clean service is a must have and brilliant addition to any weekend booking. The sound system in the main hall is very good and well maintained, and serviced our needs perfectly. We did need the addition of fold-back speakers for our event and Jacqui arranged all this for us for a small extra charge. The media technician Peter was such a lovely man and attended the venue on bump-in day when we were setting up. He got on with what he had to do and then gave us a walkthrough. We also had to discuss a few things prior to our event with him, and just like Jacqui, no question was too much trouble for him. If anyone is looking for an affordable venue hire with great facilities, and a stage/theatre vibe, then Maleny CC should definitely be at the top of the shortlist! We can’t wait to head back and hire again!
A great venue for local event. I love some of the wood work in here. We are here this time for Supreme Dance Experience.
Absolutely amazing venue ,the staff were awsome to communicate with in preparation and during our wedding reception .Would highly recommend for events we all had a blast and it's absolutely beautiful.
Maleny community hall is a perfect DIY wedding reception venue. The staff are lovely to work with and the volunteers working the bar are so joyous! The team was really reasonable and worked with us to make our day work and help us solve all those little problems that pop up with wedding planning.
I have had the absolute worst experience with Maleny community centre, the staff member older lady who seems to be in charge of the bar is an absolute disrespectful face to have on your door and at events the way she speaks to people who have paid money to enter the community centre or people who are guests/working is disgusting. She has a terrible attitude and always seems to be rude and angry, makes you feel very unwelcome. I am very upset about this and something needs to be done I will not stand for disrespect for clients and guests in a space called maleny community centre. NOT OKAY!!!
This is a lot of fun. Definitely worth staying the weekend in town and seeing a show.
We loved performing "The Spirit of Leonard Cohen" show here on Sat 30 Oct. Great cosy performance venue. Gratitude to the MCC team for all their support.
A great asset for the Maleny Community - modern and ready for all sorts of performances! Even got a “bar“ that serves refreshments, beer and wine.
