Nestled in the scenic Maleny area, the Maleny Botanic Gardens & Bird World is a sprawling property that began with a young boy's passion for plants and has since evolved into an expansive botanical haven. Spanning over 16 acres, this lush landscape features meticulously designed gardens, vibrant flower displays, cascading waterfalls, and serene lakes.
Absolutely amazing experience. Really enjoyed the aviary experience. Great fun with the birds and a really informative and engaging experience on the walk through. Stunning botanical gardens and picnic areas set against the incredible vista of the glasshouse mountains. We had such an amazing day and it was very reasonable prices. A wonderful day out, highly recommended.

Such a wonderful place for adults and kids! Bird world is a pretty special experience. The cafe is good, all staff very friendly and the gardens are beautiful and the little petting farm is cute too. Definitely recommend as somewhere to goof you haven’t been. I took my partner there, and we had a great time!

We had the most beautiful day. Beautiful gardens, stunning bird aviary with plenty of interaction with the birds, the gorgeous animals in the animal farm, full Devonshire Tea with the biggest scones I've ever seen & so delicious, a perfect sunny day & the most helpful, informative and wonderful staff. A perfect day. 🥰 We did have a cart that enabled us to get around this huge garden, it certainly is something I would recommend. Even though it is winter when we visited the gardens are still stunning, I certainly will be returning though when the huge rose garden is blooming. I highly recommend a visit & say to you Malany Botanical Gardens & Bird Aviary be very very proud of what you have, it is a special place to visit. 🥰

We , 4 adults and 3 children, had a wonderful afternoon here. The botanic gardens are fabulous . The bird tour was so well done and it was fun being interactive. The birds are pretty, so entertaining and look happy. There was so much to see . We were there until closing but could have stayed longer. There are plenty of lovely spots to have a picnic . The cakes we had from the cafe were delicious. ( only minor disappointment was coffee was no longer available just after 3 pm ) thoroughly recommend a trip here and would definitely come back.

I had such an awesome time at the Maleny Botanical Gardens and Bird Sanctuary! 🌿🦜 The entry price was very reasonable, especially for everything that was included. You get to wander through the beautiful botanical gardens, which are peaceful, well-kept, and full of stunning plants and scenery. On top of that, there are some animals to see along the way, which added a nice surprise. The highlight for me, though, was definitely the Bird Sanctuary tour. It’s made up of Four different sanctuaries—two are non-interactive, and the other two are interactive. The interactive ones were so much fun, with the birds actually sitting on your arms, shoulders, and even your head! One cheeky bird even gave me a little nip, which made for a funny memory. The whole experience was a mix of beauty, fun, and laughter, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a great day out. Five stars from me—absolutely worth the visit! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Great place to spend the day with the kids. Kids were very excited with the opportunity to get up and close with the birds and learning about where they are from. There are also other animals like guinea pigs, alpacas sheeps, goats etc which the kids can feed. Overall a very interesting and fun place.
Kian Y — Google review
Fantastic day out for families. The aviary tour was fun and interactive. You can grab a yummy coffee and some nibbles and venture to any of the many little seated areas or gazebos around the gardens with views to die for. Would highly recommend the buggy hire! This was such a highlight of our weekend and will definitely be back.
Jay E — Google review
What a nice place! Most people drive around here on these little golf buggies, but I chose to walk instead. Tickets are $27 for an adult, don’t remember how much for a child. The botanic gardens are lovely, and the bird encounters are amazing. Might be a bit expensive, though.

Find this place on the way to glass house mountain this place great specially you can see the views of glass house mountain and you don’t need to walk to see the views just park your car and enjoy the views.
Fahim J — Google review
Amazing views and well worth the walk but some of the tracks have a lot of large lose rocks and make the going difficult with a lot of potential for rolled ankles or slips if you aren't set up for the wall. The end of the trail involves a bit of a climb... but the views are spectacular and well worth the effort

Located in Maleny, Brouhaha Brewery is a popular spot for beer enthusiasts. The brewery offers a variety of beers including IPA, Maleny Lager, Milk Stout, NZ Pale Ale, and their award-winning Strawberry Rhubarb Sour. Situated in Coral St., the upmarket pub-style menu features dishes like pizza, fish, chicken and steak made with local produce. Visitors praise the vibrant and welcoming atmosphere with charming wooden furnishings that set the tone for a relaxing experience.
The staff are fabulous! Really attentive and the chefs are amazing. We ordered a starter and mains and it doesn't happen very often anymore, but our mains came about 15 minutes after we had finished our starters, which was fantastic and meant we could just sit and enjoy the beers without feeling like we had to be in and out. Food was beautiful. We will definitely be back!

Absolutely fantastic meal at Brouhaha. Their Sourced Dining menu was delicious and fantastic value for a 3-course, 6 dish dinner. The way they feature fresh, seasonal produce is excellent and the menu is always filled with local producers from the region. Highly recommend… and the beer is great too! 😊

Haven’t been here for some time because we had moved away. But while in town we stopped in for a quick lunch. They had a special on that we shared between the two of us. A fish patty and bbq pork plates. Both were delicious. Just enough for us with a glass of Italian wine. Well prepared and presented.

tl, dr.: a very decent gastropub One of the standouts of after dark dining in Maleny is Brouhaha, which serves fairly traditional (maybe a little bit unimaginative, but I guess this is what sells) and very well done pub food with a twist. This is the second or third time I've been here, and have never been disappointed. The star attraction, of course, is their brews. They carry other local craft brews as well as their own constantly changing beers, which makes each trip an adventure. There are permanent ones, though, like their milk stout; I'm not a stout drinker, but I absolutely love Brouhaha's milk stout, which is great for both drinking and cooking! Top tip: if you're capable, try making it into ice cream. I love that they offer paddles so that you're able to try all the beers on tap, and they also offer cans, as well as growlers to takeaway. There's been an explosion of craft brews in SEQ over the last 10 years, and Brouhaha is definitely one of the better ones.
Shinyi — Google review
Fantastic location in the heart of Maleny, Brouhaha's beers exceeded expectations. All beers were delicious, in particular the Strawberry Rhubarb Sour and the Hinterland Pale Ale. Can't wait to come back for a pint or two....or more.

Maleny Dairies is a family-owned milk processing plant that offers a variety of dairy products such as yoghurts, custards, and creams. Visitors can enjoy a farm and factory tour to learn about the operations of this small dairy farm, from milking the cows to processing the milk. The tour includes a short movie about the dairy's history, a milking demonstration, and even an opportunity to bottle feed a calf.
What an awesome experience! Very educational, I asked so many questions and learnt so much. And had so much fun feeding the calves. Had to give my shoes a good scrub when I got home, so don’t wear your favourite sneakers! 😅 Well worth doing the tour, regardless of age! (We are 36 & 40).

This a really lovely dairy farm. Staffs were lovely, areas are clean and the animals very well looked after. The tour was great and the dairy taste test was my favourite part. Just make sure your children are under supervision all times so they don't scare the animals.

Absolutely fantastic experience! Beautiful surrounds, an informative and hands-on tour of the facility, with tastings of delicious Maleny Dairies milk, yoghurt and custard products. Nice little cafe on site too. A+ overall! 🐮👌😊

Awesome place, highly recommended! Great for all ages, we took our 2yr olds and they had a ball. The tour guide Tatjana did a great tour and explained the whole process really well. You also get to feed calf’s on the tour and taste their products. The cafe is awesome, there’s scones with jam and (their fresh) cream, pies, sausage rolls, coffee, milk shakes etc. Sheep wander around you while at the cafe, which sits in a beautiful spot overlooking the farm, it’s a great experience, we’ll be back!

My son drinks this milk for 3 years. I enjoy buying local produce. We visited the farm with a tour. It's very informative and gives a good understanding what a great work this family is doing. We had a change to try the milk straight from the cow, bottle feed a young cow and see the whole production lines. The production is closed on Saturday. Overall, nice experience. Lovely green area to just chill and try some produce. Kids can safely run around.
Olga M — Google review
Cool experience in QLD. Loved the taste tests and the guy who took us around was very experienced. Good for the family, kids get to touch/pet/feed the young cows and learn so much about how milk gets in our fridges. These photos are also the scenery around Maleny Dairies.

Our group of three families visited and we all agreed that it exceeded our expectations and us adults enjoyed it just as much as the kids! We fed a calf and got up close and personal, the tour guide was very patient with the kids asking lots of questions, the milk, cream and custard is to die for! Support a local family owned business and have a great time!

Maleny Cheese Factory is a must-visit for cheese enthusiasts in Maleny. Visitors can enjoy sampling a variety of delicious cheeses and creamy yogurts while getting a glimpse of the working dairy factory. The factory offers a shared cheese board for visitors to savor while taking in the picturesque views of the Sunshine Coast hinterland. The boutique cheese line includes cheddar, white mold, and feta-style cheeses, making it an ideal spot to stock up on supplies before leaving.
This little gem is fantastic . The cheese selection is huge and the staff are fair dinkim friendly we got a large cheeseburger for $38 and it was impressively generous. I can guarantee that back home you would pay a heck of alot more for the same thing . I would 100% recommend and go back there agin

It all looks so good, but there's no free tasting to help make a choice. Fortunately, we know from experience that their products are 1st class. Great range of flavoured feta and yoghurt. Plenty of parking available and ample seating to enjoy their cafe items. (See photo of menu) Well worth the visit in my opinion.

My wife and I came here on Tuesday on a rare opportunity for a kid-free date. The kitchen was closed, but we bought our own cheeses and accompaniments and made our own cheese platter, and had a perfect time. Thanks so much to Tara for making delicious coffee and being so lovely and accommodating to us while we were there!

"THE VERY BEST CHEESES AND SWEETS CAN BE FOUND HERE AT MALENY CHEESE. MY DAUGHTERS AND I POLISHED OFF A LARGE PIECE OF CAMEMBERT CHEESE FOR LUNCH AND IT WAS THE MOST CREAMY DELICIOUS MEAL WE HAVE HAD, EVER. THE PLATTERS ARE ABSOLUTELY SENSATIONAL. MAKE SURE YOU POP BY AND GRAB ONE FOR YOURSELF AND MAYBE SHARE IT, OR NOT!..." 🤣

We came up here on Tuesday for a tour. There is no cheese platter and we end up having deserts. Lovely staff and we really enjoy it. Platter start from Friday.

Such yummy cheese! The Tuscan cheddar was our favourite. Highly recommend at least a small tasting platter to try most of the cheeses on offer.

Check the cheese when you buy it as the port was accidentally switched out to chilli. Completly different taste but amazingly they sorted out this mistake. My son loved the Chilli cheese and ordered me to buy some more lol.

Love this place. Everytime I have someone visit that doesn't know the area, this is our first stop. And every time without fail, they leave with 3+ items. Doesn't matter if you're just taking some cheese or yoghurt with you, or staying for a cheeseboard, you will love it. Friendly staff too!

Jack N — Google review
Yes! It's definitely the best pizza I've eaten in Australia so far. Pretty expensive unfortunately, otherwise I would love to go there regularly. A bar is located directly next to it and you have to walk up the stairs to the bar to get to the little restaurant (there is no sign on the door or somewhere else to make clear that the restaurant is there...). I tried the "greeny" with extra sun-dried tomatoes and the gluten free base, which I liked much more than the regular one! The staff is very friendly too :)

Bavarian restaurant
King Ludwigs German Restaurant and Bavarian Beer Bar is a charming venue in Maleny that offers a variety of Bavarian specialties and an impressive selection of 38 types of German beer. The woodsy-chic setting provides picturesque mountain views, creating a delightful atmosphere for indulging in hearty, meaty dishes and frothy joy. One of the signature dishes is the Kartoffelsuppe, a Bavarian potato cream soup with vegetables, frankfurter sausages, and speck.
When you walk into King Ludwig's you are transported to a typical traditional Bavarian eatery, full of charm, Germanic decor and a homely coziness. The staff, Robin and Adi, were very friendly and made us welcome as soon as we walked in and showed us to our table on the outer deck with a view that rivals anything I have been to around the world. The Glasshouse Mountains are laid before you, stunning! We started with two enjoyable mocktails until our food came. Having been on a month long tour of Germany last year we know the food is very traditional, hearty and doesn't have the presentation of a high end restaurant, but it is very tasty. So, I was a little disappointed with my pork knuckle special, generous in size, but quite dry, as if it has been cooked earlier and reheated. It was accompanied by three sad looking roast potatoes, a bed of average sauerkraut and lots of gravy. It was sadly, underwhelming and very expensive at $52. My wife enjoyed her schnitzel with potato salad and lingonberries, but again, it was a bit dry. We arrived at 5pm, a good time, before more patrons came. We wanted to order desserts, that sounded very tempting, but the mains are very generous and filling. They have one of the best and varied cellars that I have seen in a restaurant, with fine and rare wines from all over the world at very reasonable prices. Eg a bottle of 2020 Barbera was only $78! I had a glass of Gruner Veltliner from Austria that was delicious. It is likely that many of the other menu items are excellent, perhaps, because we arrived early our meals were not up to the highest standard. But, we will be back to try them as the restaurant offers unique hospitality and friendliness with a world class view!
Brenton B — Google review
Our second visit and we enjoyed once again. Lovely balcony table. Leberkäse and sausages were delicous as with the crispy pork knuckle. My favourite was the veal schnitzel. Don't forget to order the pretzel with the cream cheese spread. Beautiful views and make sure you make time to check out the shops at Maleny too.

"KING LUDWIGS IS FAST BECOMING MY FAVOURITE RESTAURANT. I HAVE CONSTANTLY CHANGED MY BEER PALETTE AND THE SELECTION OF FOOD I KNOW HERE - AND THEY NEVER LET ME DOWN... THE FOOD IS EXQUISITE!!!!! THE BEERS & WINES ARE CLEARLY SENT FROM THE HEAVENS ABOVE.♡ WELCOME TO THE TOP OF TOP VALUE."

Genuine German experience! We had the Kartoffelsuppe, pork knuckle, and Apfelstrudel. Everything was absolutely perfect. The flavours, the presentation, and the atmosphere all felt authentic and comforting. Adi is the best host ever. Friendly, welcoming, and full of great stories. Highly recommend if you’re after real German hospitality and food done right. 🇩🇪🍺

What! a tasty 😋 experience. My partner and I have been wanting to try King Ludwigs since we moved to the Sunshine Coast. This evening granted us the opportunity being in Melany to enjoy a meal. The staff were friendly, extremely informative with all aspects of the menu. Our taste buds were teased with a warm, comforting pretzel starter, followed by the Kransky, mash potato, sauerkraut and gravy for my partner and I had the melt in the mouth Duck special, delicious 😋 Inviting atmosphere, well versed staff, high quality food with the expertise in beverage matching. These guys really know their stuff. All surrounded by the glorious views from the mountain. We simply had a great evening.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at König Ludwig! The hospitality from Adi and his team was outstanding – warm, welcoming, and truly memorable. The atmosphere is incredibly authentic, making you feel like you’ve stepped right into Bavaria. On top of that, the breathtaking view makes the whole visit even more special. The beer is excellent, and the food is simply outstanding – hearty, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. This place is a true gem in Australia and an absolute must-visit!

The food and service are outstanding- definitely worth pre-booking the pork knuckle. Our table ordered the last 3 so unfortunately other diners missed out. While the decor and atmosphere are always wonderful and authentic, when we visited it was a cold grey day and it would’ve been awesome to have the fire lit before the lunch service opened. Very chilly to start - luckily they have blankets to use. One of my favourite restaurants on the Coast

Walking into the restaurant felt like stepping into old-world Europe, almost as if we’d been transported to a charming corner of Germany in the early 1900s. The warm timber interiors, the cozy atmosphere, and the friendly service set the perfect scene. We had the eye fillet steak, and it was nothing short of exceptional; perfectly cooked, full of flavour, and melt-in-your-mouth tender. Combined with the welcoming vibe, it made for an unforgettable dining experience. Will be back to celebrate another special occasion.

The retreat features an outdoor pool, a spa, and an acclaimed Thai restaurant and bar. Guests can also indulge in the renowned Tamarind Cooking School to learn new culinary skills. The retreat provides a romantic and secluded atmosphere, perfect for a peaceful getaway.
I recently enjoyed a two night get away with a friend at Spicers Tamarind. The property is quiet and beautifully landscaped with a boardwalk through the bush to nearby Gardners Falls. Our 2 bedroom luxury villa was spacious and very private. Beds were comfy, great fireplace for the winter evenings, and the food at the restaurant was superb, especially the Japanese pancake for breakfast! Well worth a stay!

We recently stayed 2 nights at Tamarind and found the experience a bit underwhelming for the $$$ paid. It was all okay but not to the standard we have experienced at another Spicers resort (Hidden Vale). The staff tried hard but were undertrained. They lacked some basic skills like how to clear a table properly, set knifes and forks etc. we waited for courses for ages eventually being asked which course we were on. The food was underwhelming, no better than a good take away place, over complicated for no reason but also lacking care. Example breakfast was under seasoned and felt like it was just thrown on a plate. We were served pineapple which wasn’t quite ripe and cut so big you couldn’t eat it without making a mess. There were limited facilities or entertainment in the retreat, no lounge, games room or other activities other than the pool and a fire pit. The waterfall is well worth the walk, but the track was hard to find and not maintained. Our room was fine, but nothing exciting. The fan was loud, fridge barely kept things cold and the room was not private at all (studio room). The spa was wonderful. An okay weekend but probably could have got more for our money somewhere else

Not worth the price, there are way better options in the region. On our first night there was an issue with the timer to clean the hot tub, it started running at 3am and we couldn’t sleep anymore. We tried to call the emergency number (since there is no staff during the night) the person hung up. Next morning some staff member even complained we called the emergency number as it was no emergency. No apologies or attempt to make our stay more pleasant. For the price we paid, definitely would expect a way better service.

From the first phone call to book in with my gift voucher, I felt welcomed. The team were amazing with answering all of my questions. With the Tamarind Retreat Day Spa unfortunately not available anymore; I was able to book in with the Clovelly sister site. Highly recommend a 90min relaxation massage with Bonita! She knew exactly what I wanted and needed. With a few different options to choose from, it was a really lovely experience. It has a large room with two massage beds, tranquil music and was nice and warm with ambient candle lighting. Make sure to get there earlier, to fill out the form where you put any injuries, what your skin is like, what pressure of massage you like etc. After a 12 minute drive to Tamarind, I checked into my cedar wood spa villa, which did not disappoint. Fireplace was extremely easy to use. If you’ve never used one before or a bit rusty, there’s instructions on the kindling bucket. They have a large box of firewood on the front porch too. Lovely hot shower with good water pressure. A short walk down to the Garden Falls (which I didn’t know existed until reception told me and showed me the map). It can be a bit steep and slippery in certain spots, especially after rain, but definitely worth the little trek down. Wear proper shoes! The restaurant menu is A La Carte, but totally worth the $99/person for a 3 course dinner. Highly recommend the beef massaman dish and the chocolate mousse-like dessert. My breakfast was included in my voucher. I chose the waffles, which were delicious. The only things I can “complain” about would be the size of the coffee I received with my breakfast. I wrote down and asked for a mug-achinno (large cappuccino) with 2 sugars on full cream milk. Unfortunately I received the tiniest coffee takeaway cup I’ve ever seen, but that’s here nor there. The other thing is where the spa is located in comparison to walking tracks. The spa could be secluded a little more in my opinion. Thank you!

Fantastic couple of night stay, spent time in the local area and chilled in our Villa. Dinner at Tamarind was probably the highlight, wonderful flavours, especially the whole Barra. Staff were wonderful and very attentive, Asian breakfast awesome as well.

Went to the restaurant for a romantic dinner. Food was unbelievable. Only issue was my partner was in the middle of proposing. He just got up off his knee and a young waitress came over and asked if she could take any plates. I was so shocked (and annoyed). She should have read the room. I’m sure she didn’t mean to interrupt but I’ll forever have the thought of the proposal being interrupted.

Wow, what an absolutely delightful escape we had at Spicers Tamarind! The location is just perfect, a breezy one-hour drive from Brisbane and we instantly felt like we were a world away. Our Orchard Villa was the cosiest little haven, complete with a crackling fireplace and a fantastic outdoor fire pit – the perfect setting for relaxation. Even though it's a resort, it never felt crowded, which added to the peaceful atmosphere. What truly stood out were the staff. Every single person we encountered was so warm, welcoming, and genuinely seemed happy to be there. It made such a difference! Our bedroom was a dream – plush carpets and one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. But the absolute highlight for us was how incredibly pooch-friendly Spicers Tamarind is. Our little girl had the time of her life in the huge, fully enclosed backyard of our villa, and it was wonderful that the outdoor areas of the resort were also dog-friendly. Everyone was obsessed with her and it made us feel so welcome. The convenience of both in-room dining and the restaurant (with meals included in our package) was fantastic, and being able to dine outdoors meant our furry family member didn't have to be left behind. I can't believe I almost forgot to mention that the fact that Spicers Tamarind was hosting Peter Kuruvita for a cooking class was the whole reason for our visit, and what an absolute highlight of the trip it was! Getting to learn from such a renowned yet lovely chef was an incredible experience and truly elevated our stay to another level. It was such a fantastic initiative by the resort and definitely a major drawcard for us. If I had to offer one tiny bit of constructive feedback, it would be regarding the Tamarind restaurant. While the food was still undeniably fantastic, given its reputation, we were perhaps expecting something on par with the exceptional quality we've experienced at places like The Farm/Three Blue Ducks in Byron Bay. Similarly, the breakfast menu, while perfectly adequate, could have offered a little more in terms of inspiring options beyond the usual suspects. However, these are minor points in what was otherwise an absolutely amazing stay. We will definitely be returning to Spicers Tamarind. It's such a rare and wonderful thing to find a 5-star luxury resort that is so welcoming to fur babies. Honestly, if children are welcome (and let's be real, they are far messier), then it's high time more places followed Spicers Tamarind's lead and embraced our four-legged family members. Thank you for such a wonderful and inclusive experience!

Tiffany's Maleny offers a delightful High Tea experience that is nothing short of enchanting. Guests can savor an array of hand-crafted sweet and savory treats while soaking in the stunning vistas of the Glasshouse Mountains, either in their charming French courtyard or on the wrap-around veranda of their iconic Queenslander. For couples seeking a magical wedding venue, Tiffany's Maleny shines brightly.
Tiffany’s was an amazing place to have our wedding. It could not have been more perfect. A special shout out to Lou, she helped me breathe before I walked down the aisle and made the rehearsal so stress free. Ben was also amazing at making sure the day went so smoothly and put up with my cheeky bridal party. Martina was the first person we spoke to when we first decided to plan our wedding and she was the first initial impression we had of Tiffany’s which sold us on deciding to have our celebration here. The food was amazing! The vibe was perfect and all of our guests were so impressed by the staff at Tiffany’s. The florals were perfect, the venue was beautiful. You guys truly made it the best day of our lives and I wish I had a Time Machine to go back.

Tiffany’s Weddings Maleny has been a dream to partner with right from the start. From my first email enquiry 7 months ago to our wedding day last Sunday, the excellent team at Tiffany’s were excellent in communication, extremely professional and kind, and when it became apparent my lovely celebrant wasn’t going to make it due to an emergency, the amazing team swung into swift action and produced a wonderful celebrant in no time, as well as graciously offering to, and extending our reception by an extra half an hour we weren’t even expecting. We thank you for a wonderful day and a beautiful experience. Tiffany’s Flowers did an amazing job with the flower arrangements in their stunning chapel, then seamlessly moved the beautiful flower arrangements to their enchanting reception space. All the food, drinks and my beautiful wedding cake were amazing as well. I honestly could not find one single fault with this incredible venue and the wonderful team behind it. We wholeheartedly recommend Tiffany’s Weddings Maleny for any occasion! Love and best wishes, Peter and Gordana Johnson xx

Tiffany’s Maleny is truly one of the most breathtaking and magical places in the Hinterland, and the team behind it made our experience unforgettable. I recently proposed to Aileen at Tiffany’s, and we could not have asked for a more perfect moment. From the very beginning, the entire team was warm, welcoming, and incredibly supportive. A very special thank you must go to General Manager Ben. His professionalism, genuine care, and exceptional attention to detail ensured everything ran smoothly and beautifully. Ben went above and beyond to help create a moment filled with love, joy, and memories we will cherish forever. The setting, the service, and the atmosphere were all outstanding. Tiffany’s Maleny will forever hold a special place in our hearts, and we are endlessly thankful to everyone involved. Aileen and I will definitely be wanting to get married at Tiffany’s in the future – there is nowhere else we would rather say our vows. Highly recommend this beautiful venue to anyone looking to celebrate life’s most meaningful moments. – Aileen and Pawel

My husband and I got married at Tiffany’s on the 2nd of October, 2025. Tiffany’s was the one and only venue that we looked at for our wedding and we have zero regrets. Tiffany’s itself is a stunning venue with its beautiful white chapel, gazebo and reception room where you have amazing views of the glasshouse mountains from every corner but what makes it truly amazing is the wonderful staff. From our initial tour up to our wedding day, the team were incredible. They communicated throughout the entire lead up to our wedding and were very thorough in ensuring they had all the information they needed from us to host the wedding of our dreams. My husband and I put our full trust into the team at Tiffany’s and they did not disappoint. On our wedding day, the team were phenomenal. They were constantly checking on us and our guests to make sure everyone was well taken care of. Our guests haven’t been able to stop talking about how amazing the staff at Tiffany’s were. The food was incredible and they were more than happy and capable of catering for the wide range of dietary requirements our guests had. The flowers were incredible as well. Every time I caught sight of their flowers I couldn’t help but be amazed by them. We honestly cannot recommend Tiffany’s Maleny enough. If we could, we would love to get married at Tiffany’s every day.

Booking Tiffany's was one of the best decisions we made for our big day. The first thing that you notice about them is their stunning view, both from their chapel as well as their reception and garden party area. Once you get to know them though, you find that they have much more to offer. All of their staff provide exceptional service. We had many moving parts on our day and an email chain a mile long over the 15 months in the lead up to our wedding and they handled everything along the way. Their attention to our needs on the day was incredible and we always had everything we needed. Their food was so delicious that my only regret is that I couldn't choose all of their options! We highly recommend Tiffany's to handle your special day and would give them 6 stars if I could!

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Tiffany's Maleny. The venue has an amazing view including from inside the chapel, the facilities are fantastic and the Tiffany's team were great. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout the wedding planning stage and on the night made the event run so smoothly! This really took all the pressure off us, and we were able to enjoy the night with our family and friends. The flower arrangements were well thought out, looked fantastic and matched our colour theme request. We were super happy with the whole night and how well organised the team were at Tiffany's. We would highly recommend Tiffany's Maleny to anyone!

When my now husband and I first started looking at wedding venues, we were pretty eager to choose a venue that could support us through the whole process, not just act as the venue, and Tiffany's delivered well above and beyond that! Not only is the venue itself GORGEOUS and utterly STUNNING, the help of every staff member throughout the planning process all the way through the evening on the big day was fantastic. The florals were gorgeous, much better than any inspiration photo I sent through, the food was glorious and we received SO many compliments on how delicious it all was - the chapel itself and the grounds are kept immaculate. We have still not stopped saying to each other a week past our wedding how grateful and glad we are to have chosen Tiffany's as our wedding venue. 11/10 would recommend!

Wow! Tiffany’s is truly an outstanding venue! Being based in NSW, we didn’t get to see the venue beforehand, but we were absolutely amazed by how stunning the location was. The entire process was smooth and easy. The staff were professional, friendly, and incredibly supportive, making planning from afar completely stress-free. They kept us informed and promptly answered all our questions, which gave us confidence every step of the way. Even without visiting beforehand, the experience far exceeded our expectations. We’re so grateful to the team for making our special day seamless and truly memorable.

The Glass House Mountains Lookout is a picturesque location with BBQ facilities, toilets, and an observation area providing stunning views of the Glass House Mountains and surrounding areas. These volcanic formations are extraordinary because they rise from flat grounds. Visitors can enjoy various hikes and trails, but it's important to stay safe and hydrated. Families will appreciate the lookout point with its sweeping panorama that even includes the Brisbane skyline on clear days.
It was such a beautiful place! It was really open, and you could see the whole area — the sun looked amazing from anywhere! Watching it from the lookout point was definitely the best spot! There were very few people, only about three other groups besides me. On the way down the mountain, there was mist over the farms, and it looked so beautiful. The route from the mountain to the city really made me feel the vastness of Australia.

Spectacular vistas everywhere! I climbed up Mount NgunNgun, which was very easy compared to Mount Coolum, and checked out the amazing views of the other Glasshouse Mountains. We came here during the easter holidays. The menu was very limited, so we had fish and chips (good) and mexican cornchips, they were so good! They also sell many different wines from their cellar, we didnt try them because we were driving but I think this would be ideal part of the experience.

A-may-sing venue, right in the middle of Maleny. Just a quick search from Brisbane, and we ended up coming here in an hour time. It's worth the drive, though. Great setup, design, ambience. Just one star missing from that of 5 is for that missing star service. By the time we reached, it was past 2.30 pm, and luckily, their last order was just 2.45 pm. Hopefully, the team will get there to cover up that extra mile. No complaints, though. Our food was exceptional and kept us satisfied for the drive. I'm looking forward to coming down with a bunch of friends in the near future. The barrel just got added to my fav weekend chills. Cheers, team, you guys did well.

Love this place we have been three times in the past two months. As a young family it was awesome to have a playground in eye shot of of our table, as for the food I really enjoyed it and highly recommend the share plates, mains and desserts. The coffee (which isn't the best coffee in the world) and cake deal is good value and my family and I always get the cheesecake as it's a favourite. The tasting paddles are good value and give you a great little sample of the wines and are worth checking out. If you're going on a weekend be sure to book as it gets busy.

$103 dollars on 2 burgers, 1 glass of wine and the beer paddle, including the Saturday surcharge. Pretty overpriced and the burgers were honestly not that nice. They were quite bland and similar to a simple burger you could make at home yourself. Quite disappointing with the views also. Instead of having the carpark at the front of the venue and seating at the rear to make the most of the view, it was the other way round. Beer and wine were good.

Visitors can explore the rainforest through walking trails, enjoy a picnic or barbecue, and visit the discovery center to learn about the area's rich biodiversity.
Family outing - visitors from Vancouver BC - an educational experience for children and adults. Interesting displays - friendly staff - a great walk through the forest. Met up with one of the volunteers - Carmel - thank you for explaining a lot of interesting facts about the plants and birds. A well run and organised Tourist Attraction!

Beautiful views, the food there is yummy, but I do wish they had a few more salads and healthier options. Thus the 4 stars. Being a diabetic you are always looking for healthier options. The staff were helpful and friendly and the atmosphere is just lovely. The walks 🚶‍♂️ through the reserve are beautiful. My advice is to go slow, so many people miss interesting stuff because they are in too much of a rush. Things like the trap door spiders and the worms /grubs that drag green sticks into there underground holes munching on the end until they disappear down the hole. There is a hanging birds nest over the creek that no one much seems to notice. Beautiful, peaceful walk!💖

It is a conservation park located on the Blackall Range east of Maleny, in the Sunshine Coast Region, Queensland, Australia. It is about 90 minutes from Coolum beach by car. Public transport takes longer. The reserve is located in the mountain rainforests of the Maleny region overlooking the Glass House Mountains. The 55-hectare reserve consists of subtropical rainforest, which are mainly located in the north-east parts of Australia. The Cairncross reserve has an area of 530,000 square metres and reaches a peak canopy of 440 m. The main species of tree is the Australian red cedar. Strangler figs and fungi are some of the other plants found here. You can spend several hours here depending on your interests. Popular place, lots of tourists and locals. Uneven terrain, lot of walking, mostly under tree shade. You will likely see small wildlife along the tracks as you wander about. Animals include about 140 birds. There's a large car park, barbecue and a cafe. Toilets available. Entry fees apply. Gift/souvenir shop available on site. Friendly staff and great service. Wear comfy shoes, take water, wear hat, sunscreen. Great place for photography.

Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve has great walking trails and a magnificent view of the Glasshouse Mountains from the ample car park. There are public toilets here, and picnic tables where you can bring your portable BBQ to grill at. Just next door you have Mountain View Cafe, which, although a little pricey, has a lot of your refreshment needs covered. Not too far from Maleny, this is a great place to schedule in a couple of hours on your weekend getaway.

Beautiful spot for a coffee and a gorgeous walk through subtropical rainforest. The cafe on-site has a good range of options and decent coffee, which is handy if you want a pre or post walk meal, and views of the Glasshouse mountains. The entry to the rainforest walk is through the Rainforest discovery centre and the volunteer staff are super helpful. The walks themselves are easy, and on well maintained tracks and offer beautiful views and if you're lucky, you could spot a wee pademelon 🥰 Toilets on-site and parking on-site also. Highly recommend this experience and making the gold coin donation on your visit (@ the discovery centre) to keep the research and conservation efforts going ahead 😀

Nestled in a picturesque location, Mountain View Café offers breathtaking views of the Glass House Mountains from its viewing balcony. This charming café is a popular spot, so be prepared for some hustle and bustle during your visit. While the food can be hit or miss—some dishes like the Vegie Big Breakfast receive rave reviews, others may leave you wanting more—the coffee consistently impresses. The service tends to be efficient even when busy, though staff demeanor might vary with the crowd's energy.
Even though it was raining when we visited, so no views, that didn't dampen our spirits. The great thing about this place is that it has a wide variety of food options to suit all budgets. Food was delicious, served by friendly staff. The visitor info centre next door is awesome! It has an interactive display of the flora & fauna in the area. Again, it's a shame that it was raining as we could only do a small bush walk from the Info Centre with our umbrellas. All the more reason to come back on a fine day.

I was visiting Maleny for a family wedding on the weekend. I was staying with some family at the Maleny Terrace Cottages, and on the Saturday morning, I went searching for coffee and breakfast. I searched on Google for breakfast close by. Mountain View Café (148 Mountain View Rd, Maleny, Queensland 4552) was at the top of the list. When I arrived, it wasn’t busy, which is sometimes a sign that the quality may not be up to par. I had nothing to fear. I picked up a menu, secured a table, and looked through the breakfast options. I knew the day would be long, and I would deny myself canapés to focus on an evening dinner at the wedding. Eggs Benedict was an obvious choice, along with an extra serve of bacon. I also asked for a cappuccino in a mug. The coffee arrived quickly. It tasted great. I’d happily drink coffee there again. I’d only had a few sips, and the Eggs Benedict arrived. Each muffin half was layered with finely wilted spinach, bacon, a perfectly poached egg, and Hollandaise sauce. The muffin was soft and had soaked up the liquid from the spinach. I know some may object to this, but the buttery, moist and soft muffin was delightful. The knife provided was adequate. I didn’t need a sharp steak knife to cut the muffin. The bacon was cooked exactly the way I like it. It was well-cooked but not crispy. It wasn’t greasy, and it was streaky bacon, so the amount of fat was spot on for me. I don’t like bacon, which has had the fat trimmed off. The eggs were still warm, and the yolk was soft and creamy, not runny. The Hollandaise sauce had a nice tangy flavour. I’d happily rate this Eggs Benedict highly. All up, it was a perfect breakfast. The service was fast and friendly.

Beautiful location, delicious food, and great service We had a wonderful experience here. The restaurant has a lovely setting with a beautiful view, which made it a great spot to relax. We ordered the hot stone meat feast and it was superb—tender, flavourful, and fun to cook at the table (they bring out the meat on a hot stone and and you get to choose when to finish cooking the steak) The house wine was also a pleasant surprise and paired well with the meal. Service was friendly and efficient—we were served within 10 minutes of arriving. The team was helpful throughout, and they even had outdoor heaters, which made it comfortable despite the winter chill. Highly recommend!

I had visitors from England and NZ for a special occasion and all 6 people at our table were very impressed with their meals. Also the staff gave advice at the time of booking as two of my guests had special needs - ( 1 vegetarian and 1 Vegan). All our meals were delicious. I was very pleased that I chose this restaurant, I will go back. Special thanks to the staff - helpful and friendly.

Great food at a reasonable price. We stopped for lunch and got in without a booking. We were lucky because it got busy very quickly. The view was magnificent. We both had the Fisherman from the lunch menu, which included smoked salmon, prawns and a salad with grilled sourdough toast. Our meals were served with little wait and they kept it water glasses full.

Gerrards Lookout, located on the road between Maleny and Montville, offers sweeping views of the Glasshouse Mountains and the coast. It is a height-friendly lookout, making it suitable for those with a fear of heights. The drive to the lookout is scenic and filled with natural beauty. Visitors can expect panoramic views of mountain ranges, valleys, and countryside. The lookout is recommended for nature lovers seeking a relaxing experience surrounded by stunning landscapes.
Great little spot with a views of the valleys in front and behind. There's a shaded area and one of those thing that points to known landmarks so you can orient yourself :) Looks like a paragliding take off point too, from the signs. We didn't see anyone the day we went though.

Located on the Maleny - Montville Road , a pit stop for great view of the Hinterland. Would be nice if there’s change of colors Pretty strong wind when we were there. Worth a visit if you’re on the route
Choo G — Google review
Gerard’s Lookout is one of those hidden-gem stops along the Blackall Range tourist drive that you really shouldn’t miss. Perched high above the Sunshine Coast hinterland, it offers sweeping, uninterrupted views all the way out to the coastline, with lush valleys and rolling hills in between. On a clear day, you can see for miles – perfect for photography or just taking in the fresh mountain air. There’s a reasonably-sized parking area, making it easy to pull over straight off the road. It’s not a large attraction, so you won’t spend more than 15–20 minutes here unless you’re picnicking, but as a scenic stop, it’s excellent. The only reason I’ve given it four stars instead of five is that there’s limited shade and seating, so on hot days it can get warm quickly. If you’re exploring the hinterland between Maleny and Montville, Gerard’s Lookout is the perfect spot to pause, stretch your legs, and soak up one of the best views in the region. The land for the Lookout was donated by the Gerard family. That is where the name comes from.

The view is absolutely stunning, and you can really feel the cool, refreshing breeze. A nice little spot to stretch your legs, take some photos, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Definitely worth a visit if you’re passing through!

Limited parking space and might get crowded if all people coming at the same time. The view was amazing and worth the stop, chill and relax. Theres a gazebo but with limited table and chair.

Nice view of the valley. Worth a quick stop if you're driving past, but not worth driving as a destination itself.

Beautiful calm place with good parking facilities. The scenery is wonderful on all sides and the drive was quite pleasant. I went when it was cloudy and I can't imagine how beautiful it would be when it's sunny with clear skies. Such a beautiful and peaceful place to be.

Thai restaurant
Sukhothai Maleny is a popular Asian and Thai restaurant known for its great taste, service, and authentic Thai cuisine. The restaurant offers a good menu with fantastic presentation and serves creamy coconut rice that is fragrant and sweet. Customers have praised the duck curry, basil stir fry, and fried fish with chili sauce. Despite being busy, the staff provides lovely service in a great atmosphere.
This is an amazing Thai restaurant. The service was excellent and they thoroughly explained the gluten free options and event went as far as to inspect individual curry paste tins. They were so friendly and accommodating. I've had a lot of Lhaksa dishes and this was the absolute best I've ever had. Huge portions with plenty of quality too. Would highly recommend
Jay W — Google review
Being asians, we have eaten many Thai cuisine so we were really looking forward to try some authentic Thai food. Tom Yum soup was on the sweet side. I guess that’s how they manage the spicy level for those who want it mildly spicy. It was also interesting that they use certain ingredients/ vegetables not commonly used in Thai cooking. No complain. The dishes remain tasty with good ‘wok hey’ (breath of a wok). Food went well with rice. Service was a little slow as they had many takeaway orders to fulfill.
Hwee C — Google review
Thank you to the wonderful staff here, who managed to fit our group in with a last minute booking on a busy Saturday night. We were more than happy to wait as this venue was recommended by a friend. The venue has plenty of Thai decor as well as some local artists paintings to showcase some of the beautiful scenery. Not to mention, you can see into the kitchen, where the kitchen staff is hard at work preparing some amazing dishes. Our food tasted fantastic, with portions sizes just enough to take a little home as we were all so full. The coconut rice I must say was probably one of the most flavoursome I've had in all the Thai restaurants I've previously reviewed. We also tried the sizzling Chilli Ginger Duck which was nice cooked and plenty of balanced flavours. We also tried the Pad Garee King Prawns which was also very nice, but my favourite for the night was the Thai Crispy Fish. The fish was cooked perfectly, soaking up the delicious sauce with the added thin crispy batter accompanied by some salad leaves and veggies. If you love Thai cuisine and visiting the Malany region, definitely make some time to eat at this venue.

So good! Great value for all the food you get. Hwd fried rice with prawns, satay chicken and pad Thai with beef. 10/10 across the board. Had leftovers for two more meals. Customer service was great and would go back again!!

My wife and I recently stumbled across this gem of a Thai restaurant in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. The chicken massaman is the best either of us has ever tasted. It is divine. We ate there one night and then, after dining at another restaurant a few days later, ordered takeout to enjoy the next night. I am actually considering driving 2 hours to get there and buy several takeaways to enjoy later. Yes, it's that good. The price is more than reasonable, and the amount you get is unbelievable value.

Nestled along the main road in Maleny, Gypsy's Table is a hidden gem that promises an unforgettable dining experience. With a warm and welcoming atmosphere, this charming eatery offers a delightful array of dishes that cater to various tastes. Guests rave about the freshly baked gluten-free bread and the vibrant green curry, bursting with fresh vegetables and just the right amount of spice. The owner goes above and beyond to ensure everyone feels at home, even crafting special meals for children upon request.
My 2 kids and I celebrated my birthday at Gypsy's Table on Thursday evening. I wanted to try something "different" in terms of food and Gypsy's Table did not disappoint! We were greeted by the lovey Lisa upon arrival and made our way to our prepared table. This restaurant is so beautiful and eclectic. The views are to die for and the service is first class. Food is rustic, wholesome and magnificent - we tried several unique Gypsy dishes that I have not seen or heard of before. Thank you Lisa or your hospitality. You gave us all a very memorable evening and we will certainly be back again :-)
Deb U — Google review
We had a amazing dinner at Gypsy’s table. This place is unique and special touch of Gypsy decorations. The stuffs are friendly and helpful in choosing our meals. They have vegetarian menu but not all of them are available ( but the lady was kind enough to arrange three choices from the menu which was very nice). Food is delicious- we tried Goat Stew ( soft, tender meat with yummy aroma) and vegetarian thai curry. Overall great experience and happy with our visit.
ATGC — Google review
The GT is a unique experience. When you walk in it has the appearance of someone's quirky very large loungeroom - mauve, purple, reds, blues for the chairs and tables and the lace-like curtains, a beautifully polished wooden floor, large wooden beams and an array of Gypsiana (violins, pictures of gypsies, knick knacks) decorating the room. There are also large comfy lounges and chairs to sit and have a drink. Overall, a good impression, fun and different and good for a talking point. We were warmly welcomed by (I presume) the owner, who also turned out to be the chef. We had a bright table in the window with delightful valley hinterland views. Deep blue cloth table cloths and large thick (homemade?) napkins. It was my wife's birthday and we were both hungry so we opted, with some trepidation, to start with the Gypsy Wheel ($48), a generous (antipasto) plate of pickled vegetables, hummus, roasted vegetables, sausage, pate and more, with a freshly baked warm loaf of bread. It was delicious and if you only bought a soup with it, this could be a meal! But, we chose main meals as well! My wife's Tuscan chicken looked like an artwork - a tower of chicken and veggies in a Tuscan herb sauce. The chicken ($37) was moist and it was delicious. I bravely opted for the special - water buffalo ($44) - that was not so creatively presented, a small (maybe 150gm) piece of buffalo in a rich wine sauce with some simply cooked vegetables. But, it was delicious, gamey and tender and the plain vegetables were the right accompaniment to the rich meat. The service was good. So, this is a special occasion place, the prices being typical for what you get - a unique experience, quirky decor, a great view and excellent food! Even though we ate a lot of food, we both commented after that we did not feel bloated or over-full and we put this down to high quality produce and cooking ingredients. Highly recommended.

We started with the Scallop & Sandcrab Fondue and the Baked Brie—both absolute standouts. For mains, we enjoyed the Moroccan Chicken Tajine and the Avocado Seafood, each bursting with flavour and beautifully presented. This is the kind of food that melts away life’s troubles. The two-hour return journey was worth every minute—and I’ll happily make it again. Thank you, Gypsy Table, for such a memorable dining experience. I can’t wait to come back and explore the rest of your menu!

Nestled in the picturesque town of Maleny, The Orangery Maleny offers a delightful setting for those looking to celebrate special occasions. Imagine exchanging vows in a charming garden gazebo, followed by a refreshing drink at the Klaushaus Mountain Bar. Guests can then indulge in an exquisite feast that showcases the best of local flavors. This venue not only provides stunning views but also embodies the essence of celebration amidst nature's beauty, making it an ideal choice for weddings and gatherings alike.
Eight of us went here for a late lunch on Sunday and had a lovely time. The friendly staff had us seated near the open fireplace which was very comfortable. Ordering food took a little while because of some dietary requirements and a new electronic system being used by the waitress. The menu has a nice wide selection and lots of gluten-free and vegetarian options. The quality food was definitely the highlight of our visit and all of us enjoyed our meals and were very happy with the portion sizes. We were also happily surprised by the bill at the end and how we were able to pay separately. Will definitely visit again when we are next in the area!

Beautiful setting with magnificent views over the glasshouse mountains and to the coast. There is s choice of inside and outside/verandas seating. Delightfully decorated in cottage/vintage style. Cute little cafe that offers high-tea with a large variety of different teas. Everything on the high tea menu was delicious, and the scones were made fresh upon arrival and it tasted heavenly. I love the decor of the place as it's filled with cute little knick-knacks however it seems a bit unorganised, dust, and all over the place. It has a lot of potential if decor is more kept but would still recommend and return.

On Saturday 16th March, 2019 my son and his wife had their wedding reception at The Orangery. The service was exceptional. The food was delicious and the owners were so friendly with nothing being too much trouble. This morning a lot of the guests returned to The Orangery for a scrumptious breakfast. Absolutely loved everything about the place, staff and view.

I always come back here because of the wonderful and inclusive service I receive. As a breast feeding mother, it's nice to be welcomed with a free tea and to know if I'm ever passing through with a hungry baby I will have a place to go for a quick stop. The meals are well priced, generous and very tasty. The home ware shop, specially teas and amazing chinaware is a beautiful touch too.

Gardners Falls is a picturesque waterfall nestled in a forest, offering a popular swimming destination. A short walk from the car park along Obi Obi Creek leads to the falls, passing smaller pools suitable for children. Visitors can swim and relax under the shade of native trees and are encouraged to bring a picnic to enjoy in the area. The spot tends to get busy during summertime.
Although it’s a small waterfall, it’s an ideal spot for a natural pool experience. If you love playing in the water, this place is not to be missed—definitely worth a visit! It’s only a one- to two-hour drive from Brisbane or the Gold Coast. My dog, who usually avoids swimming pools, probably because of the chemicals, went absolutely wild here. The water is very cool in early summer, but that also means fewer people around. It’s a photographer’s paradise, so if you love water and photography, you should definitely check it out!
Wolfy P — Google review
Visited Gardners Falls around 10:30 am on a weekday and had the place almost entirely to myself. I went for a swim about halfway downstream before the main waterfall with the rope swing. The water was definitely cold—probably around 8–10 degrees—but incredibly refreshing, like a natural ice bath. The peace and quiet made for a really enjoyable experience. I’ve been here before on a Saturday around midday, and it was a completely different story—packed with people and nowhere to park. I ended up leaving that time, so I’d definitely recommend coming early in the morning or during the week if you’re after a quieter visit. The surrounding nature is beautiful, and I even spotted a turtle sunbaking on the rocks. No platypus sightings this time, but it’s easy to see why they’d avoid the busier periods. One thing to keep in mind: don’t assume the water is deep everywhere—some parts are surprisingly shallow, even if they don’t look it. All up, it’s a great spot for a midweek swim and a bit of time in nature—just time your visit right.

A Hidden Gem in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. Gardners Falls is an absolute treasure nestled just outside Maleny. The short, easy walk along Obi Obi Creek is perfect for all ages and leads to a stunning waterfall and natural swimming hole. The area is surrounded by lush rainforest, making it an ideal spot for a refreshing dip or a peaceful picnic. The rope swings add a fun touch for the adventurous, and the shallow rock pools are great for kids to splash around safely. Parking is convenient, and the path is well maintained. Just be carefull when walking on the rocks near the falls. Whether you're a local or just visiting, Gardners Falls offers a serene escape into nature. Highly recommended. As always, if you are walking near water with kids, always keep your eyes on them. Also note, we had trouble with Telstra and Optus reception in that area, and could not make any calls. This could be different for other carriers or other phones, but just be wary about that if you chose to go.

Best time to visit is during the week to avoid the crowds and after some rain so that the creek and falls are pumping! Plenty of parking and easy 300m walk to main falls. Track is mostly all bitumen with some water running across in places after recentrains. Great little walk to great little falls! We really enjoyed our experience here.
Kelvin J — Google review
Quick short walk form the parking spot to Gardener Falls. Bit of a popular spot. It wasn't the hottest day, but still plenty of people tossing themselves into the water from the top of the falls. Probably about a 3m drop. There is a tree swing set up, but we weren't game enough to give it a try. Parking lot is a bit small and gets quite tight with with all the large cars these days. There are roadside parks available on the way down though, doesn't add much to the journey.
Cyphren K — Google review
Gardners Falls is a beautiful and relaxing spot surrounded by nature, perfect for a short walk and a swim when the water is flowing. Unfortunately, when I visited yesterday, it was during the dry season, so the water level was quite low and the falls weren’t as impressive as usual. Still, the area is peaceful and worth a visit — I’ll definitely come back again after some rain to see it in its full beauty.

The Tamarind, part of the renowned Spicers Retreats in the hinterland, is a top dining destination offering vibrant pan-Asian flavors set in a lush rainforest environment. It's considered one of the best restaurants on the Sunshine Coast and serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Our favourite restaurant on the coast, every bite better than the last. The attention to detail on every component of each dish sets them ahead of the rest. We’ve been dining there for over 10 years and they have proven to be the most consistent fine dining venue in SEQ, testament to their longevity

What a really excellent dining experience. We enjoyed the banquet which smothered us in wonderful Asian flavours. Really hard to pick a favourite dish, but we loved the dumplings, the prawns and the pork belly. Really though everything was a delicious indulgence. The setting is also really beautiful, just a rich tapestry of greens all around. Service too was attentive and considerate. Definitely returning to this one.

What a surprise The Tamarind was - we were given a voucher for lunch there when we took delivery of our new Land Rover Discovery from Pacific Land Rover in Maroochydore. We live in Hervey Bay so it was a 2/1/2 hour drive down on Easter Sunday in perfect autumn weather. The grounds are beautiful , we had a friendly water dragon and the meals were delicious - supported by wonderful welcoming staff. We will certainly be back - Thanks Scott & Katrina

We celebrated my partner’s 30th birthday here. The service was great with two lovely ladies taking care of us for the evening. We enjoyed some wine which was delicious and also the banquet menu. There was the perfect amount of food with every bite being better than the last. The highlights were the pork belly and also the wagyu beef. They even added a little extra dessert as a birthday gift

Love love the vibe and ambience of the place, such a pretty nice place. The service was excellent and the cocktails was delicious. The food was fresh, the plating was so pretty! We tried oysters and salmon as appetisers, it was fresh and yummy. However, the mains was a bit lack of flavour. We chose deepfried fish and roasted pork. The pork was a bit dry and hard to chew. The fish had lack of flavour, only from the sauce that has a bit sweet taste. Both of the mains are not hot, it was more lukewarm, so we a bit disappointed. On the other hand, the desserts were AMAZING. The chocolate mousse was divine with a lil bit crisps of coconut and passion fruit, my partner loved it so much. I had black sticky rice and thai milk tea ice cream, it was really good. We celebrated my birthday and they gave us a little treat of chocolate brownie. It was a new experience but with that price I think it was quite underwhelming.

I really wanted to love this dining experience, but it just didn't live up to the hype. Staff were lovely and attentive and the location was beautiful but the food was average for the price. We had the banquet and instead of being wowed, the food was quite heavy and bland, flavours weren't well balanced and and we both didn't feel that great that night. For such a high price, we unfortunately walked away feeling like our money could have been spent better.

The Obi Obi Boardwalk is a 900m walking path that starts in the village of Maleny, located at Coral Street. It follows the scenic Obi Obi Creek, leading to Gardners Falls and Kondalilla Falls. While it's not entirely a boardwalk and consists mainly of a concrete path, it offers an easy stroll with opportunities to spot wildlife such as platypus, snakes, fish, eels, birds, and water dragons.
Just for a reference… start of the track is at the back of the show ground, but you can basically jump on anywhere. It was actually a really nice walk. It was paved most of the way. There crosses through the town centre, passed by the golf course and have wonderful valley views. We didn’t hurry through and spent time really trying to find the Platypus. It took us about 2hrs. Well worth it
Robert C — Google review
Bit of a walk that starts down the hill from the town centre. The start of the track looks somewhat recently done up. Easy path to follow, with some stone art displays set up at regular intervals. There is a Platypus viewing platform about a quarter of the way around, but if you go in the middle of the day, you're unlikely to see any (they'll be asleep). They're crepuscular, so best time to catch them will be dusk and dawn. Path gets a little confusing a bit further on though, as it takes you through a golf course, and there's a bit of shared path, where golf buggies were driving past. We turned back when we hit the course, but a good walk till then.

Lovely easy walk near Obi Obi Creek. Mainly boardwalk, formal & gravel paths. Little off trail tracks down to the water. Can contine in to do Maleny Trail or turn around. Dog friendy, family friendly. Easy parking
Jenniffer M — Google review
Nice but smallish walk along the Obi Obi river. The community felled all the invasive and non-native greenery here and then replaced it with native rainforest trees in 1996. Amazing how well it has grown up over 29 years.
Kye-Simeon M — Google review
Not really what we expected. Given it's called a "boardwalk" we envisaged more than the first 20-30m or so being actual boardwalk. The only bit is shown in my pictures, which runs from the main road to the next somewhat disappointing bit of the "boardwalk", which is a concrete pathway that runs nowhere near the creek at all. It's up through fields. It's pretty enough and pleasant for sure, just not what you'd reasonably expect given the description. Unfortunately, no platypus to be seen either after the walk there (not only because the creek is not visible from the pathway at all for about 80% of the circa 3km walk), but also because it seems there's slim to no chance of seeing them unless it's early morning or evening time.

Obi Boardwalk is a short walk along Obi Creek. It is near the town of Maleny up in the hills near Sunshine Coast. Its main street has a variety of interesting stores and the people are very welcoming and hospitable. This is not by any means a hike or trek however. This is a short walkway about 200 meters in distance. Pleasant enough but nothing special either.

I was going to rate lower right up until we actually saw the platypus. It isnt really a board walk other than close to the shops and at the platypus lookout. It's mainly a concrete path and it's not along the river or in the trees for most of it. This does make it an easy walk though. We took our time and were lucky and actually saw a platypus. Along with a snake, fish, an eel, many birds and a water dragon. So overall the platypus lookout was well worth the visit.

Beautiful breakfast at Maple 3 cafe! We ordered the veggie delight (pictured) and the banana pancakes, both were delicious! Lovely friendly staff and awesome atmosphere, cannot recommend it enough. We sat in the back corner and the water dragons were delightful company

Beautiful setting. I had the ginger stir fry which was actually a bit spicy even though it didn’t say. Lovely friendly staff the water dragons that hang around

Tucked away near a children’s park, this café is a real gem for anyone craving a relaxed vibe and flavourful food. Known for its Asian-inspired dishes, the menu offers a refreshing twist on the usual café fare – think vibrant, well-seasoned meals that are as satisfying as they are comforting. The space itself is open and airy, with plenty of tables spread across the open-plan layout, giving it a relaxed, easy-going atmosphere. It’s the kind of place where you can settle in for a leisurely lunch or enjoy a quiet coffee while the kids burn off energy at the nearby playground. Speaking of coffee – it’s just as impressive as the food. Smooth, aromatic, and expertly brewed, it rounds out the experience perfectly, whether you’re popping in for a quick caffeine hit or making a morning of it. With good food, great coffee, and a location that’s ideal for families, this café strikes a lovely balance between flavour and functionality. A fantastic local spot that’s perfect for casual catch-ups or a peaceful solo break surrounded by good energy.

Sadly the worst Caesar salad I've ever eaten, I'm a chef by trade and teach cookery cert II, the preparation into this salad was non existence, the lettuce wasnt torn the bacon wasn't crispy, in large clumps, no egg, a pile of anchovies and a pile of parmesan, large slices of French stick, not croutons, more like crostini, very mediocre dressing, I would fail one of my students if they presented me with this salad., my fellow diners had a kofta salad, the koftas were nice but the onion and tomato in this salad weren't prepared well, the tomatoes weren't cored and very large pieces, the onion was cut way too thick for the salad, the chicken choritzo salad was enjoyed, very disappointed 😞
Lorraine K — Google review
Went to this cafe for breakfast, the lady who welcomed us was lovely and had great service. That is where the experience stopped being good. We were charged $76 dollars for 2 meals and 2 coffees, a little steep but the real problem was the food, one of us got bacon and eggs on toast with haloumi, the eggs were poached but when cut open they were almost completely raw inside. Filled with clear uncooked whites, completely inedible and unsafe. I got the Salmon Royale, luckily my food was cooked okay but this dish to me made very little sense. Bacon and smoked salmon with avocado, capsicum, eggs that tasted like they were cooked in hollandaise and then topped with hollandaise after as well. Not worth the price or the risk of food poisoning. EDIT ah damn guys, I’ve been caught out I was 3 dollars off the mark on how much I was charged. That must mean the whole review is a lie. I stated we got poached eggs not that they were not meant to be. We wanted them poached that’s why we asked for them but they were raw which is where the problem is since the chef at this establishment can’t seem to poach an egg so that means it’s false claim. Wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy

Amazing food and drinks with excellent service from the friendly staff. Also, really love their homemade carrot cake and blueberry muffins. It couldn’t be more perfect when we got 50% off on all items from 7-8am on every Friday. What a wonderful start of a day! Can’t recommend this lovely place enough!

This is our favourite cafe to visit whenever we visit Maleny. Fantastic location with a great view for people watching if you can get a spot on the verandah. It can get very busy. Great range of food and excellent coffee.

We stopped in here as they were closing and proceeded to order a meal. The chef approached us and said we are actually closing right now, but I’m happy to cook you both a meal. which was very Accommodating and thoughtful. The food was absolutely amazing. Followed by home-made melt in your mouth New York cheesecake made specially by the owner chef. Great coffee also. We will definitely come here again.

Small Thai restaurant with absolutely the BEST authentic food at reasonable prices. Fresh ingredients with flavours that pack a punch. New favourite in Maleny.

Very cute place! Much smaller than expected but still enjoyable. The food stalls last night (Friday 21st) were great. We opted for the Mexican and the elderly couple running it were just adorable and lovely!! The atmosphere was quite nice though definitely an older crowd. We came for the live music which wasn’t to our taste but the older folks loved it. Would visit again to see a new band for sure.

I’m a regular at Yolked Up in Maleny, and I can’t get enough of their amazing burgers! The food is always top, and the atmosphere is just as fantastic! it’s the perfect spot to enjoy a relaxed meal. Even though I live 45 minutes away, it’s always worth the drive. Highly recommended 👌

Maleny Lane is a cute little lane on the main street of Maleny. There are lots of little shops along the lane with different cuisines to choose from and tables and chairs through the middle. My partner and I had lunch there today. We tried a couple of different places and the food was great at both and reasonably priced. There are lots of vegetarian options too. It was quite busy being the weekend so get there before the lunch rush to get a table.

Went for a drive this morning and ended up at Maleny Lane. An amazing little laneway with a lot of options for whatever tickles your taste buds. Gus, at Yolked Up, served up an amazing homemade potato rosti with bacon, poached egg, hollandaise, and a beautiful red chilli sauce (not incredibly spicy). Together with a coffee from Maddy, even the steady rain didn't dampen the morning.

Simon says Superb! We visited Maleny Lane & had lunch at Katies Vegan Kichen. OMG, the home-made quality food from this stall is delicious! Good variety of choices. We had the Burger, the Tapas sharing platter, the Penne Pesto Pasta, the Buddha Bowl, and home-made juice. Also the Banana Cake was the best I've ever had! Real food and a great good-vibe atmosphere with music. Bring your appetite and your friends. Empty Plate Score 10/10

A delightful place, on a delightful street, served one of the BEST savoury pastries I've ever had. Slow cooked beef and potato, inside well made pastry. It now registers as a regular stop when heading through these hinterlands. Absolutely scrumptious 😋

I visited Maleny Lane food alley in Maleny and it was amazing. It was like I could have been anywhere in the world. There were food shacks on either side of this alley way and funky music playing at the end of this small but intimate place. The food smells were amazing with foods from Korea, Thai, India, Mexico and more. I stopped at a new food shack called Katy's Vegan Kitchen, it was amazing!. Katy greeted me with a beautiful friendly smile and all her food was home cooked, vegan food (made with luv) she said! I had an amazing Vegan burger and chips and a beautiful Juice called 'Katy's luv juice' Lol! It had beetroot, oranges, carrots, pineapple and ginger in it. I sat and listened to the music that went all day and had to go back later and try her pesto pasta with olives and fetta cheese and her sticky date pudding. I was tempted to eat the Falafel and Humus pocket but I had zero room left in the tummy. It was an amazing experience and I felt like I could have been anywhere in the world. I highly recommend going to Maleny Lane and check out Katy's vegan kitchen.

Great, cozy place with indoor and outdoor tables. We tried the Prawn and Meat Lover. Both were great!
Daniel E — Google review
After waiting for long periods previously we called ahead & were advised 35 min wait. Ordered online and given 45 min pick up time. Arrived just after pick up time and was made to wait another 20 minutes. 65 minutes and got home to find the pizza hadn’t been cooked properly! We had to put it in the oven to try and cook it. When we finally had the pizza we asked why not just be honest about wait times and after getting three different excuses from the rude service guy on the counter was finally told by a woman in the kitchen to not bother ordering again if not happy. Customer behind us said they have the same problem every time and won’t be ordering again either. I guess they want to rely on tourist business not locals. Disappointing to give a small business one star but customer service AND food was terrible. Try capriccios at riverside or pizza at finbars.
B P — Google review
We were advised to order early in the day, due to them maybe running out of dough..so we ordered around 1 for a 5 o’clock pick up. Our order was one large pizza, half meat lovers and half cheese and herb with jalapeños. We arrived at 5 to pick up, were told quite dismissively to wait outside and waited for around 15 minutes to get our order. It hadn’t even been made ahead of time. Part of it was burnt and the ham was cheap shredded ham. $30 for one poor pizza. 😩 Nothing special about this place unfortunately.

Possibly the best pizza I’ve ever had! We got the brisket pizza- so delicious. The lightest dough I’ve ever tasted. Cozy atmosphere, friendly staff. Will definitely be back!

Located in Maleny on the Sunshine Coast, Blue Marlin Takeaway is a must-visit for those craving delicious burgers and perfectly cooked chips. Visitors rave about the fresh salad, locally made buns, and divine meat patties that make their burgers stand out. The generous portions of chips and beautifully cooked fish add to the overall dining experience. The friendly staff and incredible food presentation make this takeaway spot a top choice for travelers passing through the area.
I ordered a schnitty burger with the lot, and a cheeseburger. Being this is a chip shop, I was pretty concerned when I got charged $33 for just those 2 items. That's premium burg shop pricing these days, and not many chippos are up on that strut. Well it turns out the girls at Blue Marlin could teach a few big city burger shops a few tricks. My concerns were unwarranted 🫶🍔

Such a shame for the only fish n chips shop in Maleny. So hit n miss. 1st time we ever tried them, rang them n would have taken it back but closed. Did say they would replace it. Next time we tried n couldn't have asked for better. Than last night. Got piece cod crumbed, it was OK. 2piece Snapper battered over cooked n very dry. chips appeared n tasted like they had been cooked several times. Calamari was very tasty cooked to perfection,n large pieces. But for the price of fish n chips these days you do expect good quality. Service was great.

Amazing chips, burgers and fish. We order here at least once a week and are always amazed at how consistently good the food is. One of the best fish and chip shops we've lived near!
Georgia — Google review
Prices on the higher end at nearly $15 a piece of snapper but it was absolutely restaurant quality and was crumbed to perfection The medium chip serving was insanely generous and the pineapple fritters were tasty and not oily with a great seasoning of cinnamon! For the price it was amazing value!
Julezz W — Google review
We waited an extra 45 minutes for our order. The chips were cold and the fish was battered not crumbed as ordered. Do better!!

Absolutely wonderful food, presented beautifully, generous with the chips and fish cooked beautifully. Staff were super nice and the burgers were incredible!

Visited last year and unfortunately this was the worst F&C we had that year. Fish was tiny and very dry. Shame, as some years before it was much better.

We have lived here for four years and this is the first time we have visited this great little treasure. We ordered the Chefs special chicken curry, coconut rice and prawn and Pawpaw salad. The food is excellent. Service was fast and very pleasant. Price is very reasonable. We cant wait to visit again and this will be one of our regular restaurants.

I recently visited Maleny Palace Cafe and was delighted by the food! The dish I tried featured perfectly cooked meat, well-seasoned, with a rich, flavorful sauce that complemented it beautifully. The dish was served with a side of fluffy rice, which balanced the savory flavors well.

I'd like to give 4.5 stars but it is not possible. My friend had Pho Ga - chicken and noodle soup, and I had Wonton and pork soup. Both were pretty genuine and definitely delicious. The pork slices in mine were scrumptious. Good service and value for money. The setting is a converted older house with wooden floors and solid wood chairs which is not very Vietnamese, but it avoids kitsch. Return-worthy.

Thanks for delicious meals on Tuesday night. Was with my parents birthday group who visit regularly many had the members Tuesday special ribs. The comments around the table were best ribs they had ever had. Those that didn’t have ribs thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Was a very busy night & the staff were excellent. We were in Maleny for a few days for my sisters wedding and the reception was at Maleny hotel. The experience we had was absolutely incredible. The staff went above and beyond, Helen who is the manager was so attentive the entire day, always making sure my sister was happy and topping her up with margaritas(her favourite!) the food was amazing and it all came out at the same time, and for 45 people that’s impressive. Over the moon with the service and experience we had. Thank you all so much!! And thank you so much Helen!! You are absolutely amazing 💗💗

We booked for 20 on the deck above the beer garden. This was our option after being advised that a $10.00 per head non-refundable deposit was needed for secure a spot in the beer garden as it was 'premium real estate'. Service by the staff was great and friendly however, the meals where very ordinary. The chef's selection, rib on a bone for $50+ was covered in a sauce that was ruined the whole meal and a big disappointment to several of us that ordered.
