Staying next door and had a leisurely walk when the rain stopped. Lovely garden. Look well maintained! Double thumbs up to the care taker👍👍😃 Very clean, neat and tidy👍👍. Free entry to the garden. Some of the plants starting showing changing colour, when they fully changed, it would be more beautiful! Perfect place for family picnic. Toilets provided. I think there are 3 entrances to the park. Plenty of parkings. Unfortunately no dogs allowed tho. Highly recommend this when you come to the area.
Stopped in this week with the rugrat and friend. Beautifully set out and lots of shade and handy for a stroll along the river. Highly recommended.
Lovely place to sit and have afternoon tea. Had to bring our own though.
Quiet question good place for relaxing. There is a playground and many different types of gardens.
Lots of work has gone into maintaining these gardens, enjoyable to walk around on a sunny day :)
Relatively small and would have been nice if it were not for a probably well paid gardener employed to cut the grass, who in the process literally demolished much of the grassed areas. Unbelievable. Wish I'd taken some photos Sorry.
First time I've been to a park that bans dogs, what rubbish. At least allow them in on leash like other parks do. Would have been a nice park otherwise
A must see place in Horsham. For that matter you can't go past this beautiful botanical garden without noticing it (if driving towards Anzac centenary bridge, Weir park, etc.) A well manicured, well maintained botanical garden with variety of Flowers, shrubs, plants, trees etc makes for an enjoyable walkabout. There's also a children's playground and barbeque area with toilet facilities etc towards the rear side of this botanical garden. Overall, it's a Good place to spend some time in Horsham.

Hear the birds in natural environment by the river along easy walks
Great BBQ facilities, heaps ants, cockatoos and green spaces. Some BBQ don’t work. Plenty of seating for family gatherings
Weir park in Horsham is an excellent place to spend some time in. There's a playground for the kids, bbq facilities with water taps, sitting facilities with benches, toilets etc. Look out for plenty of small green Parrots on the grassy areas under the trees. And because this park is situated on the banks of the Wimmera river, it offers plenty of good fishing spots too (although there were hardly any catches, but many anglers were trying their luck anyway (including us) over the weekend!) And if that's not enough, there's a good walking/Cycling trail which goes to the opposite side of the river as well. There's also an angling club nearby. So, no chance of -- "Getting Bored" around here whether you are a Kiddie, Youngie, or an Oldie. And if you do or say so... well then, you may feel weird in Weir park!😅
Great covered playground with BBQ facilities and toilets. Love the little boat the kids can play in. Great climbing rope and some smaller equipment for smaller kids. All fenced in so you don't have to worry about them running off. Close to the river so can admire the wildlife. Have a BBQ is great they are clean and easy to use. Big car parking area. Great place for the kids to burn some energy 👌😆
Horsham is one of my favourite Victorian country towns. If you're there, you must come to the Weir Park. Lots to do, walks by the river, picnic or BBQ, playgrounds for the kids, you can walk the dog, ride your bike, or jsut take a snooze on the grass. There are toilets, park benches and picnic tables. Plenty of parking, and only a short distance from central Horsham. You can even jump in the river for a swim!
Great spot in Horsham, lovely along the water and the charity car show was good to see too. It was a really nice spot to have our lunch.
Great stop for a picnic or just to sit and relax. Toilet facilities and parking
Very beautiful spot with good facilities ie bbq, toilets, playground and easy walking and bike tracks to explore the river bank in Horsham

Beautiful spot friendly onsite managers, lovely clean amenities (one of two) great hot shower, .$15 pn powered site $10 .unpowered....some with fire pits plenty of room around the lake if you are set up fully for off road camping... Only turnoff in meeting great big board with RULES yet NOT one sign to say water is NOT drinkable, I only noticed as I filled my dogs water bowl and it was brownish....NEED SIGNS on each tap, not just a sign wherever it was,.. ....(on rules board or door of amenities, I can't remember now) Kids playground, lots of walking tracks but NO FISHING as too many reeds/grass regrowth due to finally refilling after years of nothing... so we ended up only staying one night and moved to where we could fish..... If and when they do the works as per notice it will be an awesome spot, but ATM only one boat allowed in water to do four laps then next persons turn, takes away all the fun of a water/boating/fishing holiday...All these so called updates we to be finished in April 2024...all they have done is put in one cabin which is fenced off.... Im guessing that's why we pay to stay and sadly it will become more expensive and another free/cheap camp lost..... Between Green Lake and Green Hill Lake the latter is the better option, donation is appreciated to up keep the place...their is about 2ks 😅 camping so wasn't crowded...even tho it only has one amenities block (which you have to hold tap to keep water running in the shower, weird but hey it's a shower) (have been corrected on that, apparently there is two, I thought it was a barby area🤔)you can fish, swim, boat kayak, paddle board, has a great kids playground and only 4ks, ( Ararat) only downfall was freezing the night and morning we were there...(Oct '24) (10 deg with minus 4 feel, and it felt like it) plus very windy... But hey I'd go back anytime just better prepared..👍👌🏻
A lovely place for a dip on a hot day… but plenty of meat ants, sticks in the sand, and the bitumen was blistering hot!!! Also, why is the JetSki access so close to the swimming area???
Love this lake! Great lake for locals and great if you are travelling as it is right on the hwy. Lots of shade from large beautiful pine trees. Sandy, beach like shore. Can be almost intolerably windy but if you happen to come across a less windy day it is simply magical and saves you driving 3+hrs to the closest beach. Main entrance has drop toilets, picnic table, undercover area with seating, possibly a BBQ. If you drive further up the road that runs along the lake, towards Horsham there are lovely areas of the shore to access, another toilet facility and a boat ramp further down. Definitely worth a visit! But be sure to check the water authority internet page regarding alge outbreaks before visiting. No doggos allowed unfortunately 😔 we noticed the signs upon leaving.
Here a few days ago Lovely clean spot Great sunsets and bird life Very clean toilets and shower $15 night to the very caring caretaker
Great amenities great caretaker's recommend this park
Beautiful way of introducing a place to visit looks great thankyou for all the information greatly appreciated.
A great place for a picnic at sunset with tables and one BBQ under a shelter and toilets. Right near the driver reviver coffee station. Good for kayaking, SUP or boating. Quite a walk to the shore

Friendly staff and a great way to pass some time and cool down in Horsham.
a really good regional gallery with new exhibitions every month or two. (find out about the free drinks/nibbles to hear from artists/curators with each opening of an exhibition). There are also activities like workshops, no experience required, sometimes.
They refuse to show local artists. Unless you are queer and they want to showcase queerness. Which means: “as a person you are worth nothing; unless the director has use for what you create” So if you are any sort of professional artist who decides to exhibit here expect the conversation to be about money & not what you bring “to the table as an artist” Also don’t expect them to not be envious of you and your achievements & then if they bully you about you being amazing, don’t be surprised. Cause I was mistreated here & if I am a 10 in looks, and a 10 as a visual artist & 10 as a talented person & 10 as a sweet person. Why would anyone be treated better?! You need to fire the director & make me the director, before you lose ALL THE ARTISTS P.S. the art here is never anything special anyways; it’s just whatever is popular in Melbourne. Now go try and say “I am a liar” Soon you’ll only have enough clientele for 2 nights a week like another business in town that mistreated me & never made it right. My one star review = that. So laugh all you want. Within 6 months you won’t be laughing anymore 🫢
Extensive photography collection here respects the gallery benefactor and founder's legacy, and matches any city gallery. Exhibition rotation of contemporary artists on the ground floor will inspire and challenge, while the upstairs collection holds delights of the Wimmera firmly in centre. Always worth dropping in to see the newly updated facilities at the Town Hall precinct.
Presented topical exhibitions to my interest areas!
I had the pleasure of attending an excursion with my work along with senior students. This was the first time there. I enjoyed being looked after by Vicki and the team who presented and supported the students with access to all areas of the Sidney Nolan Exhibition. I would encourage more people to stop and drop in. They have constant exhibitions showing on the different floors.
Popped in to see the NAIDOC art display. So pleaded I did..totally worth seeing it n you mustn't miss the displays upstairs!!
Free to enter. Great way to spend some time.

A wonderful state of the art theatre with a great production team. Thanking you all from all of us in Music Of The Night ❤️
Art gallery, theatre, visitor centre with local gifts and produce (and coffee and seats and toilets for a break) all top notch
Fantastic new venue that sits aside the wonderful old town hall. Immaculately refurbished old hall and wonderful new theatre that is world class with crew and staff to match.
The town hall is a fantastic venue for musicals, comedy, symphonies, plays and more. It has a great atmosphere and I've seen some amazing shows here.
Went to see the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. Lovely clean modern building. Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. Caters for theatre shows, musicals and more. Makes you feel proud to be a local in the beautiful city of Horsham.
Saw the Honky Tonk Rockers and the Lincolns at rock and roll dance here. Lovely venue spacious air conditioned great amenities
Not a single patron inside and yet the reception trolls wouldn't let my elderly mum visit toilet unless proof of double vax was provided... And to top it off they had no idea what they were looking at... Disgraceful... Understand if attending an event but for an elderly person to go to toilet? No! Shame on you government jerks.
I attended a business event here today and we made use of some corporate areas. I liked the friendly and helpful staff, clean toilets and catering areas, and ease of off-street parking. Well done.

My family loves this bridge and we come for a walk almost every day. You can see the beautiful Wimmera River from here.
Very relaxing easy walk with walking stick. Great spot to view the area from, thank you to some locals who took me there after being around corner at another park taking photos.
Anzac centenary bridge is about couple of minutes from the Lions club park and about 5 minutes walk from Weir park. There's a nice playground for kids closeby. This bridge offers walk across to the other side of the Wimmera river and some beautiful spots for taking pictures etc.
Beautiful place for a day out with kids. Picnic facilities and toilets are available. Caravan parking is also available.
Love it! Beautiful part of the river! Lovely bridge to cross the river with smooth easy access for wheelchairs and prams. Pump track right next to it for the kids to ride on! Big playground and slippery dip there too. Fantastic location to go all directions. We are down there often.
Take a walk around the lake side at Horsham, and experience different sights and wildlife.
A lovely walk from the caravan park to Anzac Bridge with a return via the highway bridge. Alternatively, you can continue to the weir, cross the river and return on the other side of the river. And if you have a bike, ride downstream past the weir to the river ford. Cross the ford and return past the weir to the Anzac bridge. If you have time, turn right just past the w eir and ride to the Horsham Golf Club for a coffee. Great coffee with a pleasant view over the golf course. About a 3km detour for a coffee.
Took a walk over this bridge today for the first time. Great way to see different views of the wimmera river!

Amazing park, extremely clean, very green grass and an extremely nice place for barbecue in rural areas of Victoria. Very clean restrooms, lots of space inside of them and a playground at the end of the park with a little train museum.
The ground keepers here do an amazing job. Probably the best lawn I have seen at any park
We always stay near this park commuting between Melbourne & Adelaide. Clean, shady spaces, always welcoming. The adjacent ice cream or takeaway venues handy as well.
The Swing Set nestled within the quaint confines of Horsham, Victoria, presents itself as a charming addition to the local recreational landscape. Situated against the backdrop of this picturesque town, its allure beckons both locals and passersby to indulge in a moment of leisure. However, while the Swing Set embodies nostalgic charm and serves as a beacon of playfulness, it falls short in catering to the needs of taller individuals. One notable drawback lies in its low clearance between the swing and the ground, a design element that poses a significant inconvenience for those of greater stature. This oversight detracts from the otherwise seamless experience, leaving taller visitors contending with a sense of discomfort and restricted movement. Despite this notable flaw, the Swing Set remains a delightful destination for leisure seekers of all ages. Its idyllic location invites visitors to immerse themselves in the tranquil ambiance of Horsham, Victoria, making it a prime spot for an afternoon stroll or a momentary respite from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Furthermore, the Swing Set serves as a testament to the town's commitment to fostering a sense of community and providing accessible recreational amenities for residents and visitors alike. Its presence adds to the vibrant tapestry of Horsham, contributing to the town's charm and appeal. In conclusion, while the low clearance may present a minor inconvenience for taller individuals, the Swing Set in Horsham, Victoria, nevertheless stands as a testament to the town's commitment to leisure and community engagement. Its picturesque setting and inviting ambiance make it a worthwhile stop-off point for those exploring the town, offering a moment of reprieve and relaxation amidst the beauty of Victoria's countryside.
Great spot to break your Melbourne to Adelaide journey. Una Sostaacross tge road make great coffee and ice creams. Enjoy the serenity
Definitely set up for smaller kids but my youngest (8) loved it even though it was freezing cold and raining. There's no excuse for rubbish on the ground here, we counted no less than 25 bins within the park😱😱. There are very cute little horses in the playground which, in case you were wondering, will fit a 6'2" person, but only just🤣. We stopped here for lunch on the way to ballarat and the way back. I'm glad There's undercover tables and chairs because I was less interested in being in the rain than my kids🤣👌. Toilets are nice and clean, but a long way from the playground. Especially in the freezing rain.
A good large park with playground in the corner and a large grassed area to play ball games. Well set out and has all the usual equipment the kids love. Modern clean toilets. Has an AED on toilet wall if someone needs it.
Good stop and rest area to break the drive for good coffee, KFC or McDonald's all accessible from the park

Scenic and pleasant park by the river. The seating is really well designed and fits into the riverbank, and tables are made of really beautiful timber - obviously a lot of thought and care went into this space. Appreciated the nearby war memorial and small space to kick the footy. Even the regular joggers and perambulators were friendly!
Beautiful view along the river .There are 2 food trucks , good atmosphere, chill.
Great spot to visit, lots of time put in getting the grounds ready for an early Anzac service. Gardens were beautiful and a great tribute to our fallen and current serving heroes.
Great park down by the river. Just came for the dawn service, but ended up walking back later in the morning. Nice quiet place for a walk.
Inviting, great use of native planting n great sandstone blocks throughout. A really lovely addition to our Riverside experience.
Excellent park for picnic & BBQ 👌 Good facilities & views on the river !

Great track, great entertainment! Seriously recommend attending a race meet. 1200 juniors will be on on March 4th, can't wait!!
The track was in very good condition. Very racey. Experienced some difficulties with the lighting due to the extreme hot weather but was swiftly rectified. Got to see the beautiful sunset while the lighting was out and enjoyed some crowd participation in singing songs and dancing the Macarena, Chicken dance. Etc. Good old fun. Would like to see a few more food stalls though , but I was still able to get a feed and a cold beer/drink. It was a very well run Speedway meeting. Good variety of cars in different categories who all put on a good display and good close racing
Great speedway! I highly recommend everyone visit this venue to watch a race meeting
Great track here, I ran here a few months ago during the JSPA double header. I won the New Stars here 😁. Track is a nice big track which works well with Excels (to my advantage). Track facilities worked well and the briefing was quick and understandable.
We love racing at Blue Ribbon Raceway Great volunteers
Nice little country track. Thankfully finished much earlier this time than last. But I guess with the track nearly 20km out of Horsham there is no curfew.
Great viewing, although it could have been better if they had lighting shining from outside the track as well as the huge floodlights in the middle. There was a friendly country feel to the place.

Great views of the river plenty of seating and shade with bike track access and fresh drinking water.
What a great place for the kids and besides all the play equipment right next to that is a skate/scooter park.. A great place to spend a couple of hours..
Nice little spot for the kids to play. Play ground ar one end and and 'pump' bike/scooter circuit at the other. Kids love taking their bikes there
This was our first visit to Horsham. My kids loooooved the pump track on Adventure Island, which was only a 15min walk from our apartment. Cant wait to return!
My daughter loves the big old-school slide here, and the playground is pretty good too, nice place for a picnic or bbq
Great place to leave kids for a bit, and the pump track is great. Uncomfortably hot in summer, and sometimes vomit on the turntable

Great fun for the kids board, scooter or bike, I like hitting the dirt jumps on my bike. Good place for kids bday partys. I’ve spent way to many hrs sitting here watching my son for no one to put up a coffee shop.
My sons, 11 and 6, both had fun here for 20 minutes or so. 11yo said it wasn't very big but i think it's on par with our local park in SA. He was a bit bored because there were no other children there when we were there. But the park looks well thought out to me and there's a good amount of tables and shade available.
Awesome park for kids, even for some young ones ....but DO NOT USE THE TOILETS..... IT WILL GIVE YOU CREEPS... VERY VERY DISGUSTING
For all skill levels, can’t learn to drop in. Bring a broom, plenty of rocks from the bmx track
not gonna lie but this skate park is great. love the dirt jumps and stuff like that. although i am hoping to see some more bike jumps in the future
Great little skate Park very popular with the locals
It's a good place to bring encouragement to adventure for children. Let your children wear a helmet and protective gear, and drink enough water when playing.

What a great racecourse! We sat under the umbrellas on the green grass, alongside the track . The weather was beautiful! There is a coffee shop, bar, gambling room, inside the grounds. Outside another bar, betting ring and a food bar. Everything was so convenient. Staff and the people were all very friendly. Really enjoyed our day out on the track at Horsham.
This is a very nice horse track. Plenty of parking. In a small town. Nice staff. The concession food was really great. Behind the scenes, the stables were very nicely maintained. Small covered seating area but you can also stand out by the gate.

Horse racing club.. nice place to come and relax while watching the races.
Clean, tidy and well presented country race course. Great onsite facilities. Harness and horse racing tracks in one area. Can hire marque's on race days. Very important in the Horsham social calendar! Must do at least once in a lifetime - to stand at the fence and hear the horses hooves stampede past as the jockey's yell. All your senses are in over drive (even if you are not a punter) smelling the horse smells of sweat etc, hearing the thundering foot steps and feeling the excitement make your heart beat fast. Great family day out!

Great little shopping plaza in the heart of Horsham. You have K-Mart, Spotlight, Best and Less, Reject shop, various clothing stores, butcher, bakery, eatery, hair dressers etc. Plenty of parking, easy access with Woolies next door.
Nice shopping centre with a nice variety of stores, and a nice sized notice board up one end. I took off one star cause the claw chocolate machine arcade was very stingy for $4 = nothing, it picked up 2 tiny things the entire time & i am really good at this particular claw game as well 😡👎👎👎
It's a great place to do shopping or hang out with friends or grabbing a bit to eat
Good selection of shops, good coffee and very clean
