It’s an awesome experience. We got the bus down from Ana Capri (which was an experience in itself…). The queue was about 2hrs long and it was in the heat down the steps but we bought water and fans from the shop you pass through. The boat tour is absolute chaos but brilliant fun and once inside the grotto it’s lovely and you get serenaded by the skippers. Worth the wait. They were all done by 2:30pm as the waters were high so best get there early
The cave and the color of the water is amazing. It was an adventurous experience to change the boat . Quite a wonder that it worked out fine. The waiting time to get in the cave is really long und it was so tight in this small boat. Thank god I took a pill to prevent a motion sickness otherwise it would be a torture. Well, altogether it was an experience but it really expensive. I really don’t know for sure if it worth it.
It is an experience that is a "must do" if you are visiting Capri. We were there early at 8:15am, and were literally the 2nd group in line. They start the tours at 9am. They started a little early, and we were actually out of the cave and on shore at 9am. We had thought it was going to take almost 2 hours (which is definitely possible because by the time we were out, there were 50 people in the line on shore, and a couple dozen boats of people waiting for the small boats to pick them up 4 at a time to go into the cave).
Very much a tourist trap, only do it if you have the means for it. Costs about 18€ per person and an additional 10€ for the boat rower. Also only do it if there is not a lot of wait. We only waited 15 min and didn’t know what to expect. The tour inside is only 5 minutes. Each boat takes 4 people and you have to duck down to fit inside the cave entrance. I would say you are not missing much if you don’t do it, there’s a lot of other better things to do in Capri.
Clear blue waters. Mysterious coves. Light breeze. That's all you need for a perfect getaway in this paradise situated in Capri. The natives taking you inside the Grotto are friendly and welcoming, singing beautiful Italian parodies that touch your heart. The cave inside the Grotto dates back to the time when a Romanian king came to this Grotto by digging a tunnel for 90m. There a huge line for this but the experience itself is out of this world. Highly recommend!
The Blue Grotto in Capri is absolutely magical! The moment you glide into the cave, the sunlight reflecting off the water creates a glowing, almost otherworldly blue that takes your breath away. The boat ride is short but unforgettable, and the experience feels truly unique to Capri. The guides are friendly and add to the charm with their singing and stories. It’s a must-see—photos can’t capture the beauty, you simply have to experience it in person!
Nature at its best. The color of the waters is surreal. Must see in person, well worth a boat ride there.
€18 euro per person for entry and bigger boat ride to the site €10 euro forced tip per person on top to the smaller boat guide For one person, that will come out to €28! Not sure if it's worth that much especially since it's part of nature -_-. Feels weird to capitalize on this. I saw the boat guide stay near our bigger boat until the ladies in the boat with us gave him tip (I don't think it was their fault, I just don't think their English was that good so they probably didn't understand what he meant). Also, as soon as I gave him our tip, he immediately looked at it, which I thought was awkward and rude. I also saw the boat guides pass over taking certain people, and I'm guessing they're stereotyping people on how much they can tip. Also, THE WAIT! Even though we went there first after taking the first ferry to Capri, there was still an hour wait. If there's a wait, now I really don't think it's worth it, especially if you're there on a day trip. Me and my husband wished we skipped on the boat tours and blue grotto and just explored inland more because inland was gorgeous and it was just nice to stroll around. While the view inside was gorgeous, I don't think the whole experience was worth €28 per person. Felt more like a tourist trap.

This is truly the best of Amalfi Coast. A one hour island tour of Capri is just so mesmerising that you'd like to go back here again & again. Views of the coastline and the grottos are just great and the blue mediterranean water does the magic! Don't miss it for anything.
Seeing the Faraglioni by boat was one of the best parts of visiting Capri. Sailing past these natural rock formations is breathtaking. The views, the sea breeze, it all adds to a perfect day.
Coming here was a dream come true. I am from a small island from the Caribbean and it amazes me how lucky we are to have so many beautiful places in the world to discover and to enjoy.
Took a half day boat trip, during the trip we saw these as well as many other amazing sites from the water around Capri. Highly recommend doing something similar, also we packed a picnic lunch for our half day trip and it was a great way to spend the morning.
Good view from the boat
you can visit it by boat, and pass through the arch, or just go to one panoramic point.
Get a private boat tour with the local skipper-those guys are knowledgeable, experienced, friendly and very good guides if you want to explore areas around the island.
We saw this rock formation as part of our day trip by boat from Nerano. This tour depart Nerano to Capri where you spend 5 hours on Capri and before you depart, the boat goes around the island and through the archway made by this rock formation. The tour encouraged couples to kiss as we passed through the archway as it gives the couple a good luck wish. They teased it would lead to pregnancy. It's certainly a nice stop as part of a tour.

Picturesque botanical garden with a footpath & sweeping views of the sea.
Slide 1 of 8
No queue to entry, tickets can be purchased at a vending machine right outside (no cash accepted). The only wait i had to do is to take pictures at the watch points. The garden is not so big, but the view is breathtaking. 😄 Right next to the garden you will find the roof top bar which has excellent cocktails next to the same mesmerising view.
The gardens of Augustus is a beautiful mountaintop garden which has a few statues and benches but it's main selling point is the view at the top. If you are on a tour and don't have much time I would recommend, as it's easy enough to get to and is a stunning "Instagram worthy" spot. Of course you have to pay to get in which you can do via a QR code or buying tickets. You can pay in your own currency on the app, which I thought was cool. I think £4 for a tiny garden with a view is milking it though, I think it should be done on a donation basis. You'll have people everywhere posing at every which angle so find a few good spots, take some snaps and get out of there!
€2.50 per person for entry and not sure its worth it. It is essentially 10m2 of grass with some flowers, several view points towards the faraglioni and a couple more on the other side towards the Via Krupp. Some good views of the faraglioni rocks but lots of people in the way taking photos of course. The views are just as good at the roof terrace next door and you can have a drink whilst enjoying the view! Win win
Without exaggeration, the best place to relax. A cozy terraced garden with a magnificent view. Perhaps a book in the breeze, or just watching the sharp horizon divide the blue sky from the turquoise water. Not to be missed.
Beautiful views and definitely worth a visit to get some memorable pictures. Lots of places to sit and relax but you’re not allowed to eat there. Entry was €2.5 and definitely worth the views.
Nice and well maintained gardens. Entrance fee of €2,50 a person. Plenty of scenic viewpoints. Make sure to arrive as early as possible to prevent having to navigate the tourist groups that start arriving as early as of 09:30. They open at 09:00, and since it’s a small garden between 09:00 and 09:30 is a very nice window to see it all in all tranquility.(excluding the via Krupp)
After our ferry ride, we made our way to the Garden of Augustus. The views were truly magnificent, and the serene atmosphere made for a perfect escape. The vibrant colors of the flowers against the deep blue of the sea were a sight to behold. However, the experience was slightly marred by the cost of entry. It felt like a bit of a rip-off to pay €2.50 per person for such a small area. What was even more frustrating was the price of water. Having to shell out €2.50 for a tiny 300ml bottle felt like pure exploitation, especially on a hot day. It's a shame that a place of such natural beauty has to resort to such practices to squeeze every penny out of its visitors.
Lovely little garden in an amazing location. The statues and plants are very nice, and the grounds are very well maintained. The really impressive aspect is the surrounding architecture, particularly the switchback ramp leading all 100+ meters down to the sea.

Nice chair lift to the highest point of Anacapri. 20 minutes wait line and on the top we sat for some cold drinks. Lovely views. There's not much to do, but it's worth the 14 euros PP for the ride.
Monte Solaro offers breathtaking panoramic views—you can see the entire island of Capri and beyond. Access is very easy via the chairlift, which is a lovely experience in itself, providing stunning views throughout the ride. Visiting Monte Solaro is highly recommended — a must-see spot for any Capri visitor.
Cable car to the top of Monte Solaro, one of the best views from the whole island of Capri the restaurant there has great bread and wine and food and a little walk to the edge. You can see the Capri arches , this is definitely a must visit place take your time to enjoy your stay there the food, the breeze, the view the service even the music they play
It’s a very nice view. There’s not much to do in Capri and this is one of the things. There’s a little cafe at the top too.
I love the view. Very safe chairlift. It cost 14 euros per person. It takes 14 min to go up and 14 min to go down. U can take ur time at the top to enjoy the view and take pictures. U can try the restaurant overe there as well. By little bit expensive but logical. U can also have a walk down if you dlnt want to take the chair lift for the return. Enjoy your stay in capri
Unforgettable experience at Monte Solaro! You reach the summit by a single-seat chairlift from Anacapri — the ride takes about 13 minutes each way, but it’s best to book in advance since lines can be long. The view from the top is absolutely breathtaking, a 360-degree panorama of the sea, Naples, and the island — truly one of the most beautiful sights imaginable. There’s a restaurant at the summit with amazing views, though quite expensive (we paid €7 for a cappuccino). Even the toilets cost €1 to enter, but honestly, the view alone makes it all worth it. A must-do experience on Capri!
Quick check. View was great and produced nice pics
The view from the top is amazing. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because the place is in bad conditions and not very clean. For the money they charge for the lift it could be a better experience.
Villa San Michele

Villa full of ancient art, made famous by a book written by its former owner, Dr Axel Munthe.
Slide 1 of 8
Although the journey there is challenging—especially on foot—it is absolutely worth it. This local gem boasts beautiful architecture and a truly stunning, expansive garden. Building the house in that exact spot was an inspired decision, as it offers a breathtaking view all year round. It is a must-visit.
Villa San Michele is where Swedish order meets Italian beauty – with a view so stunning it might cure mild existential crises. Built in the 19th century by Swedish doctor Axel Munthe (clearly a man with a flair for the dramatic), the villa boasts ancient columns, marble sphinxes, and a panorama over the Bay of Naples that could stop time. Just be careful on the terrace – it’s not vertigo or love, it’s the uphill walk catching up with you. :)
If you come to Anna Capri Italy, you must come here and check out this amazing Villa. The history is very interesting. The ruins he brought back from mainland, Italy, and Rome, as well as Pompeii are amazing to look at.
Absolutely breathtaking art and views — definitely a must-see if you have the time. There are plenty of great shops and restaurants nearby, as well as the lift to the highest point of Capri. You can take a taxi to the square and then walk about 10 minutes to the museum, or choose to walk the full 50 minutes from Capri’s main square. Be aware, though, that the walk is quite challenging — you’ll need to climb around 986 steps to reach the museum!
One of my new most favourite places on Earth. So amazing, calm and beautiful gardens with view. Very nice roof cafe. Hope to come back one day.
Nice villa with a nice story, beautiful surroundings and arhitecture. I would say it is a bit expensive to visit, 12 euros per visit. If you just want the views, seeing it from the fenician stairs I would say it is enough
This is possibly the best view on Capri. Make sure to visit this amazing Villa while on Capri. Absolutely breath taking views and a beautiful garden is waiting for you.
Fantastic villa above hotel San Michelle. Beautiful gardens and views. Well- preserved historical villa.

The island looks like a treasure in the sea with beautiful old buildings and amazing nature, it offers taxis and buses to pick you to the top it where the hotels are located Visiting this island is highly advised
Really good sea side . I was able to swim in March the 9th . I was alone there at this time and the water was very clear
Nice beach with lots of seagulls. It was very crowded but the water was nice
Marina Grande beach in Capri is free to access, which is definitely a plus, but the water is full of stones and rocks, so it’s not the most comfortable place for swimming. It’s fine for a short stop, but not ideal if you’re looking for a relaxing beach day.
It's 500 m from the port It's Calm, intimate and beautiful setting with deep blue water 🌊☀️🏖️ Lots of rocks, so bring comfortable shoes. I visited here in May 2024 and we pretty much had the beach to ourselves at 11 . We have more people coming in . I sat on the rocks while the kids took a dip and wife took long walks . There are stairway down to the beach is really overgrown of trees, plants and has bamboo partition which one the other side has flowers concrete covers and beach benches which looks nice but you have to walk down a really narrow, steep stairway to enter the beach. Visually pleasing and worth visiting if you’re in Capri but be prepared for 5 hours till your return trip back as you will need to spend time in and out of the sea . It's getting crowded as I write my review Hot and cold in the same day.
Look at this area with colorful, cascading cliffside houses as a backdrop. This beach is the largest and most accessible, located right at the base of the town. It is a mix of pebbles and dark sand, and while it can get very crowded, it offers a vibrant atmosphere with many restaurants, beach clubs, and water activities.
Beautiful place to eat, walk e enjoy sunset, public restrooms and many cruises to take e enjoy your stay
Putting is into relation... For capri, this is a very nice, free beach. In global terms... Just a little spot with pebbles next to the port 🤷🏻‍♂️it's sort off nice though. Hanging out while waiting for the ferry out simply to avoid the crowds in town...

Bright blue water creates a green reflection on the walls of this scenic sea cave, a popular site.
Slide 1 of 8
Pure beauty. The water is exceptionally clear and reflects a blue color. The only way to view is on a boat around the island of Capri. We rented a small yacht in which a the Skipper brought us very close resulting in tremendous snapshots and promising memories
We went in Sept 2022. We hired a captain with a boat to get in line to see the grotto. You can also access it by land. They have small boats that can go into the cave where you hop on. The wait was long and there were a lot of people. It was definitely fun exploring the grotto but if you are hiring a captain to go around Capri, Grotto Verde doesn’t have to be a must place to stop by because there are other grottos around the island that you can access by boat for free without waiting in line.
Grotta Verde is like an emerald gem along Capri’s coast. Sunlight hits the cave at just the right angle, making the water glow green as if the sea were putting on a laser show. Compared to the more famous Blue Grotto, it’s calmer here – fewer tourists, more time to take it all in. And if you jump into the water, you might feel like a mermaid… or a glowing green squid, depending on how much limoncello you had beforehand. :)
We had a private boat tour with the skipper around the island and it was the best spent money in this island. All day tour with local skipper who will take you to hidden, non- touristic places, like over crowded and overrated Blue Grotto. If you a swimmer, then definitely get the private boat tour so you can explore other blue grottos around the island which are hidden from tourists and are open and free.
Grotta Verde in Sorrento is a natural marvel. This picturesque cave, known for its vibrant emerald waters and unique formations, provides a captivating subterranean experience. A must-visit for adventurers and nature enthusiasts looking to explore the hidden wonders beneath the Sorrento coastline.
It was amazing lovely place enjoyed a lot and we had the chance to jump over
Incredible! The best way to visit the grotto and really enjoy the time there (swim or something) you can hire a private boat. May not be that cheap but if you go with 5 or 6 people it's worth it (120-150 € for 2:30 hours)
Just... Stunning. Equally as beautiful as The blue grotto, in my opinion, but less touristy, so you have the time to enjoy it a bit more.

Remains of a grand Roman palace, built by Emperor Tiberius in AD 27 on a headland. Access by foot.
Slide 1 of 8
Visiting Villa Jovis was an unforgettable experience. The site is rich with history, and walking through the ruins where Emperor Tiberius once lived gives you a real sense of the ancient world. The views from the cliffs are absolutely breathtaking some of the most stunning panoramas you’ll see in Capri. It’s a bit of a hike to reach (about 40 minutes uphill from Capri town), so bring comfortable shoes and water, but it’s well worth the effort. The combination of history, atmosphere, and scenery makes Villa Jovis a must see for anyone visiting the island. Highly recommended if you love history, archaeology, or just want to enjoy some of the most beautiful views in Capri.
Visited October 2024. Approximately a one hour walk from Capri town the Villa is at the summit of Mount Tiberius - sounds daunting but not really. The path leading to the villa is paved/tarmac/concrete and is wheelchair (wheel) friendly. Having said that this is a two-thousand year old site, wheels would be very difficult once inside. A wonderful piece of history with a modest entrance fee and a relaxed atmosphere once inside. Restored in places but most of the structure looks authentically old. With panoramic views of The Bay of Naples including a fantastic view of Sorrento, if you make the effort you will be rewarded when you get there.
A must visit for anyone going to Capri and interested in history. The ruins are not well preserved but still worth seeing and walking through. The walk from the port is not for the weak, particularly during the summer heat. Be prepared for equivalent of about 102 flights of stairs (per my garmin watch) to get there. Along the way, many grocers and shops to stop and get a refreshment to stay cool on the way up and dozens of places for lunch in the way down. Tip, don’t go to the places in busy touristy areas. Find a spot all by itself, there are many.
An large villa with a really interesting history. Read up on Tiberio Augusto before you visit and then let those stories come to life! Entrance is a reasonable price and the park next to it with the cliff top path is amazing. And ad its Capri through views are stunning.
Get ready for quite the trek. A lot of stairs up and up hill walking. The history of this place interesting and the views were amazing, but I definitely would never do it again!
Ugo made this visit more than we could possibly have anticipated. Thanks Ugo! We happened to arrive in time for his post lunch tour of the grounds and we learned a great deal. His info and insight into the location and island were a genuine highlight of the trip to Capri. The villa itself is a surprisingly huge complex, with a major water collection system, strangely topped by a catholic chapel built above it before they realised Emperor Tiberius' palatial villa was underneath. Amazing views also from the chapel and the park next door where we saw goats for the only time on the 3 day visit. It's an uphill trek and there's a great 20min forest short cut across to Villa Lysis which is worth seeing in combination with Villa Jovis but bring a packed lunch or allow enough time. The gardens, houses and sleeping cats along the way made this an even better excursion. I started this review at 4 stars for Villa Jovis but the whole trip was 5 stars.
Absolutely stunning views from Villa Jovis. The ruins themselves are interesting as well, but the five star views are the real reason to make the trek. There is another small park about 100m before the entry to Villa Jovis, which is worth a look as well. We stayed at Hotel Marmela and it was about a 35 minute walk along paved walkways and a few flights of stairs. The walkways are beautiful and very quiet before 1030 am. After that, you will start seeing the day tours. We were there at 1015 and were the only people at the Villa. 6 Euro entry fee and there are toilets at the site.
Worth the hike but be aware it is demanding with some steep segments to get there. The views are worth the hike. 6 euro entrance. Once inside you can walk around the site and take your photos. We did Villa Jovis first as soon as we got to Capri and then Natural Arch.

Most magical moving experience visiting this magnificent piece of history. It took my breath away. I was fortunate to be in the Church alone and was delighted to learn about the history of the Church and Saint Michele. It is a very special institution and the lady at the reception is lovely. She was very informative and from what I understand Saint Michele killed the devil. The floors actually took 30 years to complete and the Church is from the 17th Century. Please don’t miss this. 2e entrance.
For 2 euro you can see something so unique and beautiful it actually feels like a daylight robbery. It's a small church, however the painting on the tiles on the floor which covers the whole church is amazing. You can see it in detail from the ground level and also go up to see the whole picture. There was also a cute small bird nest next to the window on the upper floor. I definitely recommend seeing it in Anacapri.
If you’re visiting Capri, this Baroque church is a must see. Beautiful tile floors, the dome and the views are stunning.
A must see at Anna Capri, beautiful Monesteri with the story of Adam & Eve being warned by the Angle about the apple and temptation that is laid out on the floor of the Monesteri with tile.
Lovely baroque style church, built in 1719. It’s well worth a visit, to view the beautiful interior with its wonderful majolica floor. There’s a spiral staircase, which leads to a balcony where the floor can be viewed from above 😃😎
Wow! Just spectacular. Small little gem tucked away in a side street in Anacapri. But worthwhile if you like churches.

Well sign posted, concrete path for most of the way. Lots of steps, but not too hard. About half hr there including photo stops
Yes, this is a superb spot on Capri, and you shouldn't miss this! To reach it from the port, you cat take the funicular, for 2.4 € and then to take a short and easy walk. At the end of the oath you will find a terrace, which you should cross and go down on the stairs. This are the beauties of the nature and we should enjoy but also protect and preserve them, so please don't leave any rubbish behind.
Worth the 20-30 minute walk. We arrived earlier in day so very few people and so we could sit and take in the view. A cute walk to get to it, too. Returning to Capri though there were hoards of people headed to the arch which would make it not as enjoyable (for me, anyway!).
A great hike while visiting Capri. Lots of up and down as you would expect but well worth the effort as the arch is beautiful and the views of the sea breathtaking.
Don’t go down the stairs! Continue straight THRU the restaurant. Beautiful view 😍
You need to be reasonably fit to walk there, but well worth it. Stunning views.

This place is just beautiful, eye catching and stunning. The whole area was filled with beautiful fauna and mesmerising scenery. Many of the boutiques located around the area sold hand crafted goods. All the bags, clothes, crockery and candles were all hand made. The pride and sense of community here is very strong. There were many luxury stores too which sold expensive and high end products too. The streets were decorated with religious artwork which wasn't invasive but prideful. A warmth resonated from this area. It is not possible to travel in this area with a pushchair or wheelchair as there are many stairs to get around. Comfortable shoes are most certainly advised.
Via Camerelle is a charming, upscale street in Capri, known for its luxury boutiques, elegant atmosphere, and beautiful scenery. It’s perfect for a leisurely stroll, window shopping, or enjoying a coffee at one of the cafes. The cobblestone streets and gorgeous surroundings make it a must-visit for anyone looking to experience the stylish side of Capri.

Grotta Bianca on Capri is one of those caves that captivates you the moment you float inside by boat. The white walls and crystal-clear water create an almost magical atmosphere. Some say it looks like something out of a fairy tale, others like the White Lady appearing in an underwater world. Access isn’t the easiest, but the reward of this natural gem is well worth it.
Be aware of jelly fish. More than half of us got stung by jelly fish and it was really painful. The pain goes away after a few hours.
This Grotto was just magnificent 👌. Amazing site would recommend everyone experience it in person.
Blue grotto is amazing place. Such good atmosphere at place.
Beautiful Place. Hit or miss to do The Grotta , high tide and they closed it down for the day ughhh
Accessible only by boat this grotto is a beautiful place with turquoise wanted and white oxidation on the bedrock.
The water is really beautiful.
The colour of the water in the cave was beautiful. Went as part of a tour and had to wait outside on a larger boat for a while. Would advise bringing plenty of water in summer as it gets hot and there's no shade.

Airy, 14th-century Carthusian monastery with diverse architecture, frescoes & views of the sea.
Slide 1 of 8
Stunning venue for art and example of 14th century Caprese architecture. The building has a storied past with faded frescos and long, empty hallways. It has a mysterious air with mildly overgrown areas and clean, but empty rooms with amazing views of the sea. The art exhibition is like nothing I've ever seen with the natural lighting highlighting the oil paintings which were already expressive and dramatic. Off season, it was €6 for two people (cash only), and fully worth the quiet, off-the-beaten path exploration.
Fantastic art and history museum carefully placed within a former monestary. The art is well-curated, and the monstary building is unique and beautiful. The history exhibit features artifacts of the Roman Imperial family related to their residence on Capri, which also includes a number of statues, busts, and other art. There is a stunning seaside view in a balcony on this part of the museum.
Enjoyed the quiet serenity in this mostly empty rooms, long halls and courtyards. Church has some interesting frescoes. Also there is a museum (didn’t go) and gallery. Also great bathrooms!
The Certosa San Giacomo is a beautiful and peaceful spot in Capri, full of history and charm. The monastery dates back centuries, and walking through its courtyards, cloisters, and halls gives a real sense of the island’s past. The architecture is striking, and the grounds are well maintained, making it a relaxing place to explore away from the busier areas of Capri. There was no wait to enter when we visited, and tickets did not need to be booked in advance, which made it easy and stress free. From here, you also get some great views of the sea and surrounding landscape. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re interested in history, architecture, or just want a quiet and beautiful escape in Capri.
Bought an under 18 ticket on their website for me on a school trip for a solo visit. And it was free!! Was able to buy the tickets before our trip, and received an email with the online ticket and qr code. Update today I visited the museum/monument and it was AMAZING. It was so big and the inner garden and outer garden was so pretty. And the religous paintings were very interesting and very big! I also spotted a cat sleeping in the grass. WORTH VISITING. And it is located just beyond the street of designer shops.
I'm a little surprised about the bad reviews. I was totally stunned by the historic location, huge halls, stunning paintings and the museums exhibiting antique art. Definitely a must-see and offering a lot!
Empty halls, empty rooms, overgrown gardens. Where is all interior? Does anybody take care of this place? There is a nice view from the terrace, but still - nothing that much better than the thousands other terraces around the island. Leaving a star for the Diefenbach gallery and the (partially) preserved church.
beautiful walk and magical location. Away from Capri unbearable over tourism.

Steep, lengthy staircase leading from marina to mountaintop, with scenic views of island & sea.

Took me 35 - 40 minutes from Capri bus station to the sea port. On a busy day you can wait more then an hour for a bus in the same direction. Amazing views and you can stop for some rest. And you can try it vise versa, but you'll need to have a very good stamina and it will be up up up and will take around 2 hours. Enjoy!
Great walk up to Anacapri! From the bottom of the stairs, it took my partner and I 22 minutes to walk up with a few stops along the way to catch our breath and look at the view! On the way down, took about 18 minutes. We are really glad we did it. You definitely feel the burn going up and the stairs are quite deep but definitely worth it. Going down is a little harder on the knees! Definitely give it a go if you can :)
Beautiful staircase. It will be a good cardio exercise, so I recommend to start with it as soon as you get off the ferry. It is a good way to experiece the beautiful views surronding the island. It also gets you to Anacapri fast enough and allows you to avoid the croads.
Steep stairs but incredible views once you reach the top
It was great, but very tiring. It's an amazing experience to walk on these famous 900 steps. Better than waiting for the overcrowded bus from Anacapri to Marina Grande. I only took photos from the lower part, where the steps were more regular. But the view from higher up is great!
Nice hike up the stairs, but not the easiest, best to do when there's still shadow. Another way is to take the bus to Anacapri and go down the stairs. Almost not used during off-season (November). Great views over Marina Grande and the coast.
A beautiful walk up to Anacapri from Capri. It’s definitely a workout (wear good walking/hiking shoes and take a bottle of water) and not an easy uphill walk, but the views are spectacular. Yesterday, we saw several people walking down (rather than up) the Scala Fenicia while we walked up. However, we feel that the downhill is hard on our knees and feet. 🤷‍♀️ Thus we walked up the hill from Capri, strolled around Anacapri, walked out to Da Gelsomina (but arrived before they opened), walked back to the city of Anacapri, and taxied back to Capri. A beautiful morning and a lunch well earned.
We climbed all the way up from the beach. It was a great work out.
