Fish store
Pescheria Le Botteghe is a renowned seafood restaurant in Capri, conveniently located near the Piazzetta di Capri. The charming eatery offers an array of fresh seafood options, including raw fish, oysters, tuna burgers, and fried squid with anchovies. The restaurant's intimate atmosphere is enhanced by its simple and understated decor. Visitors can enjoy a variety of Mediterranean-style fish dishes while seated at marble tables or by the window for some people-watching.
Love the place. One of the best place to go on the island. The food is amazing. The host recommended cooking method for the fish ( I forgot the name) but it was awesome. Kept the freshness of the fish while adding some flavors to it. Fried calamari and shrimps were also good. Raw food section is one of the best on island. There are only a few seatings in the restaurant, better make a reservation.

This was our favorite meal during our trip to the Amalfi Coast. The fish was delicious and fresh. It’s a small place so I certainly recommend making a reservation. We got the Capriburger with polpo, but he raw seafood salad, tuna tartare and fried calamari. We loved every dish
Rhoda K — Google review
THIS IS A MUST VISIT! This has to be the best restaurant in all of Capri! Make sure you visit for a beautiful meal that feels like fine dinning in a causal atmosphere. Honestly was the highlight dinner experience of my whole trip to Capri. The owner is wonderful and will make sure you have an amazing time/ meal. I believe it is a fish market in the early morning that then becomes a restaurant which makes the food that much better because everything is incredibly fresh! Me and my girlfriend ordered the carpaccio of the day (octopus), the fried cod, the mussels in a spicy broth, the stuffed calamari, and finished off with the cherry compote cake (that I forgot to take a photo of before we started) it was all amazing. Make sure to pair your dishes with a wine and enjoy!
George R — Google review
Small but nice restaurant, fantastic food. I love every single dishes. The calamari is tender and crispy. The special fresh made spaghetti is interesting. The staff is vey helpful, don’t for get to ask for the special of the day.
Jittraporn L — Google review
100% authentic Italian pescheria. I loved that they have only a few tables where you can sit, rest and have your delicious meal. Truly recommended
Andrea Z — Google review
Salmon tartar and tuna orecchiette were amazing. The octopus burger was nothing i’ve seen before, very special taste (my brother loved it). Great service.
Michelle Y — Google review
Found this place through some research before visiting Capri for the day. What a find! Amazing seafood, wine and lovely service. Would recommend booking as we were really lucky to get a table in 5 mins time as the restaurant is small (in a really lovely way!) Thank you.
Natalie M — Google review
We ordered a calamari fritti with french fries. It was really expensive, which is ok according to the location, but it was made in advance and it came already cold. Its priced as a fancy restaurant, but it’s more like a buffet with all the smells.

Italian restaurant
Lo Sfizio is a beloved restaurant in Capri, located in the residential neighborhood of Tiberio. It's known for its delicious Neapolitan pizzas with tender, thick crusts and affordable prices. In addition to pizza, they offer pasta dishes like paccheri totani and scialatielli con frutti di mare. The restaurant provides a friendly environment with a beautiful outdoor piazza and delightful staff.
We had an amazing dinner at Lo Sfizio — one of our favorite meals in Capri! It’s tucked away in a quiet area, which made for a peaceful and cozy atmosphere. We started with buffalo mozzarella and tomatoes (so fresh!), followed by delicious pizza and pasta. Don’t skip dessert — and the limoncello shots were the perfect way to end the night. The service was outstanding, and the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend! We made a reservation via email.
Rylee R — Google review
I came here 6 years ago and loved it. Six years later, still wonderful. Lucia was the very very best! She made sure all allergies were taken care of and was so kind, lovely, and considerate. I got the orata, which was light and delicious and filling. Family got marinara pizza and branzino, both of which were also flavorful. The cherry tomato salad was AMAZING. I’m obsessed with tomatoes and this place does not disappoint!
Mary ( — Google review
Excellent lunch! Took what the staff recommended and was not disappointed. The seafood was delicious. The wine recommended of similar quality. Perhaps the best part was however the location, you are not in Capri town and that is a big plus in our book.
Jonas N — Google review
I had one of the best pizzas here. The service is great having skilled waiters. As an example of atention to detail, they will open the menu for you before handing it to you. It's a small gesture that costs nothing but improves the experience and makes a difference. I'll definitelly come here again as I really enjoyed the entire experience.
Bogdan P — Google review
Best authentic Italian meal - we wish we had time to eat here again! Had the bruschetta (so fresh) the mussels (amazing flavor and huge portion), the pizza and the sausage eggplant pasta & WOW. Everything was incredible flavor. Highly recommends
Jenna L — Google review
Beautifully homemade pasta with southern flavour. Tasted like my nonna’s back in the days. Loved every bite and moment. Thanks to the staff and the chef. The Tiramisu was beyond.
Rosy C — Google review
Amazing food and service! We were thinking of not coming here as it was 15 minutes walk from the town. Glad that we came here. It was really nice experience, food and service. Enjoyed the stuffed pizza, lemon sponge cake and lemoncello shots! Service was also first class!
Divya J — Google review
Lovely evening meal at Lo Sfizio! We ordered Octopus antipasti dish, a special for the day of shrimp croquettes and a sausage pasta dish. Also for dessert we went for the crème caramel and the lemon cake. All portion sizes were amazing and the food was incredible! Also the Limoncello shot in between courses was an added bonus! I will say we went back the night after and ordered other dishes which were at the same price point but the portion size and the quality in our opinion wasn’t quite as good. But overall amazing family restaurant with quality service and high quality foods!

Nestled in the charming town of Anacapri, Aumm Aumm Ristorante Pizzeria is a delightful culinary gem that offers an authentic taste of Neapolitan pizza. With its inviting garden terrace adorned with fragrant lemon trees, this pizzeria creates a picturesque setting for enjoying thin-crust pizzas crafted by the talented pizzaiolo Maurizio.
This was our favorite restaurant on Anacapri! Great service, atmosphere, and food. You can eat an amazing meal under lemon trees on the patio out back. We went twice because it was so good. I got the gnocchi alla Sorrentina, and it was wonderful! I almost ordered it again when we went back.
Lacy W — Google review
Nice atmosphere and also nice personnel. But the price was a little vit high and I thibk thats because it was in an island . We totally liked the pizza with fresh cheese but the pasta we ordered was normal. Totally 4 out of 5 . I attached picture of our food and also Caprese salad .
Sina B — Google review
You must try Aumm Aumm Ristorante Pizzeria! Best pizzas we have had and their homemade tiramisu is ON point! So many locals do takeout from here and they have such cute terrace with lemon trees! We had the Pumpkin sauce pizza (zucca e salsiccia) and burrata pizza.
Julie C — Google review
Wow ! This place was incredible 🤩 We had the most delicious gluten free pizzas. The sangria was so refreshing and stacked with plenty of fresh fruit 🍓 The outdoor seating was stunning with greenery too. Grazie from Australia Aumm Aumm ! 🤙🏼🇦🇺
Ella K — Google review
Salvatore and the team at Aumm Aumm do an amazing job. While in Italy, we ate in restaurants in Rome, Sorrento, and Napoli. By far, Aumm Aumm was the best food we had. And the service was excellent. When we arrived it looked more like a storefront pizza shop, with boxes stacked in the corner, but then we were led onto the patio area and it was serene and peaceful. Salvatore made some recommendations and we agreed and we were so glad we did. If you are on the island of Capri, do yourself a favor and head to Aumm Aumm in Anacapri…you won’t be disappointed!
Jeremy S — Google review
We had our best dinner here. The service was excellent, professional and I can’t even describe how delicious was the food. All the dishes were fresh and tasty. We would love to go back someday. ☺️
Mercédesz C — Google review
Buyer Beware! Scammed out of 6 euros for table service. They won’t tell you about the 6 euro charge until you are done eating. Just for that we will NOT BE RETURNING. Explains why the place was empty. I realize you run a business and service good food but be upfront about table service. If it was posted I didn’t see it.

Our favorite spot in a week in Italy. Such kind people, the best food we had all week. Everything was amazing. Pizza, Burrata, eggplant parmigiana, and Semifreddo al torroncino were the highlights.

Le Grottelle is a unique restaurant located near the Arco Naturale, offering a distinctive setting against limestone rocks. The informal trattoria features a half-cave, half-terrace design with the kitchen situated in a cave at the back. It provides stunning views of the Li Galli islands and serves a variety of dishes including ravioli, local rabbit, and seafood specialties like linguine con gamberetti e rucola.
Hidden gem of Capri!! The restaurant felt really local, the staff is super nice and friendly with great food recommendations. The venue itself is breathtaking! You need to walk to get there but it is a nice walk and definitely worth it. Will come back again for sure!
Paola M — Google review
The food was really good and the prices not too bad for Capri. Unfortunately the head waiter was very rude to me, to the extent when I thought I had personally offended him (I didn't though). That really soured the experience. The view was amazing though.
Emily E — Google review
This is a breathtaking place to relax and lay back out of the Capri city center buzz, and on our way to the Natural Arch, a beautiful walking experience in our visit to the island. The restaurant is that a perfect location to enjoy the natural view and still enjoy a great meal and wine. The staff was very helpful, and even though we had minor issues in the service with compliments, it was an outstanding stop to recharge with a light and savory meal. Their salad and raviolis were just great! The facilities are great for a terrace feel, all about what Capri is about.
Gabriel J — Google review
Absolutely amazing! The vibe and views were incredible. The fruit, pasta, and dessert were all so fresh and tasty. Highly recommended and well worth the walk!
Bradley H — Google review
Without a doubt the best dining experience we have had. If you have the opportunity to dine here, make sure you do it. Absolutely phenomenal! Our waiter Paulo, was wonderful and made our experience at La Grottelle exceptional.
Kate W — Google review
Very nice location - splendid viewing over a cliff - a bit of a walk but less people around. Paolo was hosting us and for sure can be trusted with any kind of recommendation (wine and food) - the stuffed pepperoni and the pasta with rabbit were excellent. And the lemon tarte. For sure one of the best places on Capri - if you can reserve a table. Gracie !
La G — Google review
Such a good place! Great food and amazing service, with a really great Italian atmosphere and breathtaking views. Recommended, especially after a hike! Prices are high as everywhere on Capri
Arsenii K — Google review
Perched on a cliff overlooking a breathtaking bay, this restaurant offers an unparalleled panorama. The iconic Arco Naturale and the stunning Sorrento coast unfold before you, creating a postcard-perfect setting. Ideal for sunny lunches, summer dinners, or simply a coffee or beer on a warm afternoon, it's a haven for soaking up the view. The service is warm and welcoming, and the menu features traditional dishes, with an emphasis on fresh seafood. While the location and view are priceless, the pricing is on the higher side.

Grocery store
Salumeria da Aldo is a hidden gem on the island, offering affordable and delicious provisions for your adventures. Located near Marina Grande, it's perfect for grabbing a classic caprese sandwich before setting off on a day trip or hike. The deli counter inside this small grocery store offers huge made-to-order sandwiches filled with fresh mozzarella or hand-sliced parma ham. Visitors rave about the delightful sandwiches and the friendly service from the kind lady owner.
Getting to Capri can be an exhausting experience: treat yourself to a stop at Salumeria da Aldo, (which doesn’t look like much more than a small shop from the outside but once inside there is a old school deli tucked into the back of the store), where you’ll find some delicious mozzarella & prosciutto. A copious sandwich for €7 is reasonable compared to prices further up on the island.
Davide G — Google review
Such a great treat- great quality ingredients and really delicious. Local shop where you can get any sandwich and very affordable. Portions are huge and the perfect sandwich to enjoy. Little market with other treats: strongly recommend
Michele G — Google review
Great little one-stop shop after landing at Marina Grande. We grabbed fresh made sandwiches, chips and drinks to save money and time on a day trip to Capri!
Jonathan W — Google review
I have been coming to this shop for over 5 years. The sandwiches are the best in the world and I think about them every day when not in capri. The staff are knowledgable, friendly and very good mannered - always there to help The salumeria at the back is the Italian dream. One of my favourite shops and places in Italy / the world - you have to go here if you are in capri to get a real Italian experience amongst all the American tourismo
Daisy W — Google review
5 euro for a delicious caprese sandwich. Rest of shop is reasonably priced also - 1.50 for a large bottle of water and other “normal” pricing. Recommend for a good lunch to have on the beach in capri
Jenny C — Google review
The staff is friendly and communicates well (even without english). For a daytrip to Capri I recommend to get a panini (sandwich) here as takeaway instead of going to one of the pricey restaurants on the island. Find a nice spot with a view (e.g. the lookout spot on the mountain in Anacapri), get a cold drink and enjoy your meal there. We had a Caprese with Mortadella and it was simply amazing. (16€ for two Paninis)
Hannes W — Google review
Great affordable option (in Capri prices) for a lunch in the island. We took two prosciutto, mozzarella and tomato sandwiches and they were amazing: fresh and super tasty. price was 7€ per sandwich.
Xavi S — Google review
Very nice little shop where a surprise sandwich waits for you! We found it accidentally. My wife saw someone eating an enormous panino and she said " wait, those people are eating something delicious. Check the area." So I checked, saw a salumeria and entered. Nice move I can say. Some old lads preparing panini that are half a loaf of bread. The ingredients are simple but tasty. Tomatoes , some mozzarella, salt and prosciutto will do the job. There is no menu but you can dare and ask for other ingredients that you can find in an Italian salumeria. For example i asked for parmigiano at one sandwich and rucola and they did it. Also i saw pesto in a jar so you could ask also for that and use your imagination in general. Also very reasonable price for the sandwich and everything in the shop in general. Water, wine, fruit. The price was very nice.

Ristorante Pizzeria Verginiello is a lively trattoria with sea views, offering a variety of seafood antipasti, pasta, fish dishes, and Caprese pizzas. It's known for its excellent pizza all year round and is a popular spot among the locals. The restaurant is family-managed and has a very friendly staff serving high-quality cuisine at moderate prices. Visitors can enjoy typical fish dishes or try Capri's famous ravioli on the welcoming terrace overlooking the sea.
The restaurant boasted a breathtaking view of the bay, the perfect backdrop for a delightful dinner. The menu was extensive, offering a tempting selection of traditional pasta, pizzas, and fresh seafood. Every dish was expertly prepared, bursting with flavor. Service was prompt and friendly, making for a pleasant dining experience. However, the atmosphere felt a tad too simple, lacking the cozy ambiance that would have truly elevated the evening. Pricing is more than reasonable.
Sorin C — Google review
We had a beautiful night here. Compared to other locations on Capri, the service is really good and the prices really low. We had the bean soup that the service even split it on two plates for us, because we said we wanted to share it. Then the pasta and pizza. For all with water beer and cover, we paid 52 €. In most other restaurants that would have been double.
Felix B — Google review
Overall experience was great. Food was fantastic and staff are very friendly. I definitely recommend this place if you are looking for an authentic dinner in Capri.

- It can get very busy yes, but the service could be improved for quality. - Lemon spritz could be improved too. I didn’t drink it and I was not asked or offered an alternative.

Hard to believe the price for such good food, service, this incredible view, and wonderful environment. We'll be back for sure, and will recommend this for anyone spending an afternoon in Capri. Its also very close to the town center, and the staff was very attentive. Easy 5 star review!

The view from here was amazing! And food!!! Really good! Not really cheap but not really expensive either! Just a bit shame, when I ask the table for the view, one staff said NO but the other staff allowed us to go the table with the view, so appreciate!!! In summary highly recommend here! Buonocore Gelateria Pasticceria Gastronomia e Tavola Calda is a renowned gelato destination in Capri, serving delectable sweet treats since 1950. Run by the same family for over 70 years, this establishment is known for its commitment to creating exceptional flavors that keep customers coming back for more. The aroma of freshly made waffle cones draws visitors in, reminiscent of a scene from a cartoon.
Another day, another gelato! We stopped at Buonocore Gelateria during our Perillo tour, and it was fantastic. On a hot day, it was the perfect time for a refreshing treat. I went with a friend's recommendation and tried the nocciola, paired with pistachio—and it was insanely good. Best of all, it was served on a freshly made cone, which made it even more delicious.

This is our favorite gelateria in the world, not to mention the best pastries. We spent a week in Capri and had breakfasts and gelato everyday here. Giovanna, Alessandra, Ale’s young son, Maria, Ale’s mother, and the entire staff and family made us feel super welcome! Giovanna even went out of her way to make reservations for us. We love you and we’ll be back soon!!!

the BEST. this is the most authentic and best gelato I have ever had. I tasted no other ingredients other than the one listed and everything they used was fresh and organic. It was not those creamy and heavy ones but rather a super light, refreshing flavor and texture which was really great for the heat this summer. I would definitely go there again.

Gelato with lemon and pistachio was perfect, waffles were even still warm when we got them! Pay inside in advance if you don’t have cash
Arsenii K — Google review
Such an unpleasant experience. Bought ice cream, chicken cutlet and Coke Zero but they only allowed seatings for person who bought chicken cutlet and Coke Zero. Ice cream cannot be eaten inside the store at all even though it’s from the same store. Chicken cutlet tasted dry and ice cream was just normal. Overrated and will not return!

This was one of my favorite places we visited in Capri. The gelato was some of the best I’ve ever had and pastries brought me right back to my nonna’s house, with that same homemade warmth and sweetness. Nestled in the serene countryside of Capri, Da Gelsomina - Ristorante offers a tranquil escape from the tourist hotspots. The restaurant is renowned for its authentic cuisine and warm hospitality, which has been upheld by the same family for generations. Set amidst terraces adorned with vines and vegetable gardens, it provides a picturesque setting to savor delectable dishes crafted from garden-fresh produce. Guests can also enjoy wine produced from the family's vineyard nearby.
A Hidden Gem in Capri – Authentic, Peaceful, and Unforgettable Our experience at Da Gelsomina was one of the unexpected highlights of our trip to Capri. Tucked away in a more authentic and peaceful part of the island, this charming restaurant offers not only delicious food, but also a serene atmosphere far from the usual crowds. The setting is truly special — our table overlooked beautiful vineyards with sweeping views that instantly made us feel connected to the natural beauty of Capri. The staff and Pasquale were incredibly warm and welcoming, and even shared a tip about a nearby secret lookout point. We followed their advice and were rewarded with what was easily the best view on the entire island. If you're looking to escape the tourist-packed areas and enjoy a genuine, tranquil Capri dining experience, Da Gelsomina is a must. We can’t wait to return!

We had a fabulous meal at this secluded restaurant on the south of the island. They provide a shuttle service from the centre of anacapri so getting there is not an issue. It boasts fantastic views of the sunset which was truly breathtaking. The service and food was second to none and you can see how they are recommended in the Michelin guide. Unable to rate the rooms as we did not stay there but if the restaurant is anything to go on then they would probably be 5 stars too. Incredible meal.
Cameron W — Google review
We came here during a day trip to Capri - it was a bit of a mission for us to get there and back from the dock but they do put on a shuttle to the middle of Anacapri and they can’t control the awful traffic! Food was pleasant especially the pomodores and buffalo mozzarella and service was friendly. Add on a little stroll to the viewing point just down from the restaurant

Go there it’s heavenly! The most spectacular property in Anacapri! Family run; staff is outstanding, 5 star restaurant, vineyard, 10 mile diet!! Rooms are comfortable with spectacular views, stock Carthusian products! Hiking paths of top views in Anacapri, swimming pool, free shuttle!! List of excellence goes on and on! Perfection! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Amazing dinner spot! We had a lovely view of the sunset while eating dinner. This was by far our favorite restaurant during our stay in Capri! We didn’t stay in the Airbnb but it looked cute from the outside. We were shuttled up to the restaurant, be warned the ride is bumpy but it beats walking by foot! The staff was very attentive and helpful throughout the entire dinner. The view was absolutely stunning and made for great pics. Sad to say I forgot the name of the pasta dish I had but it was an excellent spicy garlicky spaghetti, this was the highlight of our dinner. Definitely don’t miss out of this restaurant, make sure to get a reservation in advance!
Brianna C — Google review
We only came here for dinner The food was delicious, the service was very good and attentive. Complimented with the incredible views the experience was overall really nice. The food was nothing extraordinary but at the same time hit the spot. Plenty of choices, and reasonably priced. The scenery and sunsets incredible. The most exciting part of the experience is the shuttle ride up the hill - it’s like the local version of an amusement park rollercoaster ride.
Mike O — Google review
I went for dinner at Da Gelsomina about an hour before writing this review. First off, the restaurant has a shuttle service for those in Anacapri (which is a very enjoyable place to stay). Once you arrive, you’re greeted by great staff. I was a solo diner so I can’t comment much on the bottles of wine etc, but the glass of local (from the campania region) was great and their homemade liqueurs are a must try. Now, onto the food, the appetizers were great and really well thought out. Very classic dishes (my family is from this region) that are very well made. The escarole polpette were great and the octopus (for those who enjoy it) was fantastic. I had a whole local fish as the main. They can prepare it in several ways and generally have 2-3 types of fish to pick from. The fish was cooked to perfection and was cleaned prior to being served tableside. I didn’t have dessert and opted for the homemade liqueur instead which was fantastic. I went at 9pm so it was dark outside. The view and the sunset must be spectacular from up where the restaurant is, in case this is an important factor. I really recommend this place. Of course, given its rustic feel and very traditional cuisine, you will also be dining with a lot of Italians here on vacation - and this is how you know when a place is good.

Get yourself table and treat yourself with a beautiful sunset view for a dinner, if you are like me or else the place is open otherwise too. A beautiful sunset and everything becomes amazing. Thet provide a pick a d drop to the hotel and to points in city. Recommended for food experience.

Ristorante da Tonino is a local gem tucked away from the touristy dining spots, offering a rustic-chic ambiance and a garden terrace. The restaurant is known for its regional fine dining featuring game dishes and an extensive wine selection. Despite being a 15-minute walk uphill from the main plaza, it's favored by locals and offers an authentic Italian dining experience.
What an absolute delight! The whole experience was absolute perfection. Tucked away in a quaint spot, just a few minutes up the hill from the Piazetta lays a wonderful culinary experience with incredible assortment of home made breads, the tastiest olive oil you can have and the best assortment of dishes one can dream. We had a perfect balance of flavor combinations. The selection of amuse bouche was worthy of a Michelin star restaurant, so delicious it will raise the bar of what you want to eat next. Yum!! Our server was Eric and he was the most attentive, genuine and caring server we had in decades, what a delight. We highly recommend it as the best culinary experience in Capri. The only thing I missed was having a black truffle option on the menu, but their options were excellent.

We had our best dining experience of the year at Ristorante da Tonino in June while staying in Capri. Food, service, atmosphere, everything contributed to a wonderful night. The tasting menu is definitely worth one if not two Michelin stars, the wine list is utterly impressive (40 items from the Jura region in France for a start!) and the master sommelier was kind enough to offer us a visit of his amazing cellar (30,000 bottles…). I can’t recommend enough this little long-standing family-owned gem, whose only fault is to be closed on Mondays, else we’d have returned for a second night in our 3-day trip. Thank you all!

Da Tonino is a true gem on Capri. Elegant yet relaxed atmosphere, outstanding cuisine with a creative twist on Italian tradition, and an impressive wine list. Service is warm, attentive, and highly professional. A must-visit for an unforgettable evening on the island.

Definitely one of the best meals you will have in your life! A must visit if you're in Capri. We were there for only a few hours and spending half of it here was totally worth it! I cannot emphasize enough how good the food is, how attentive and professional the staff are! You can tell the food is cooked and served by people who love what they are doing.

My wife and I were in Capri celebrating our honeymoon and this wasn't only the best meal we enjoyed together on the island but the best meal we had our entire 2 weeks in Italy. The service here is incredible, the vibes are great - upscale but chill. Insane wine collection. Their food is traditional with some flare - think octopus in Peruvian mole. We got the tasting menu and a nice bottle of red wine - I'm quite sure that whatever you order will be delicious - they have a lot of pride in their restaurant and food, I love when you can feel that in a meal. Highly recommend, we will go back someday!
Charlie L — Google review
Possibly the only fine dining restaurant still worth visiting in Capri for its food instead of merely a panoramic view. Impeccable service, very competent cuisine (occasionally with a subtle exotic touch thanks to the Peruvian sous-chef) and overall decently priced wine list (an absolute rarity in Capri). Totally worth the long walk to access it.

I'm writing this review a bit late; I was here on the evening of June 21st. Wonderful experience from every perspective. Excellent service and food (and wine) quality. Perfect background music. It creates an intimate and comfortable atmosphere, setting an example of hospitality that honors Capri and Italy. As an Italian living abroad on vacation with my girlfriend, I couldn't have asked for a better dinner for my first night in Capri; I hope to be able to return in the future. Highly recommended!

The Giorgio al Cucciolo restaurant is a welcoming, intimate eatery with delicious Italian cuisine. The food was simple but elegant and the view of Capri from the restaurant was spectacular. The owner Giorgio was a great guy and made us feel at home. We would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Capri!
Excellent restaurant with a great and amazing view. Food is delicious, delicate presented and super tasty. Ambience is very romantic since the view is just impressive! You might spend 50 euros per person Not easy to get by foot. However if you have a bike or motorcycle it is totally worth it.

We had an unforgettable evening at Giorgio Al Cucciolo in Anacapri. From the moment our friendly driver picked us up in the city center to the final bite of our delicious meal, everything was exceptional. We ordered several dishes, and each one was absolutely outstanding—bursting with authentic flavors and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, making it the perfect spot to celebrate a birthday or any special occasion. If you're in Anacapri and looking for genuine hospitality and top-tier cuisine, Giorgio Al Cucciolo is a must. Truly a hidden gem!

Best experience in Capri. Took the 2km walk from Anacapri to Giorgio al Cucciolo and it was 100% worth it. Got away from crowded Anacapri to this tranquil place with excellent food and breathtaking view!

I have mixed feelings about the experience. The ravioli were good and enjoyable. Unfortunately, the pork belly dish was disappointing—both in taste and value. It was overpriced. I wouldn’t recommend spending money on it, as you’ll likely leave some on the plate. Additionally, there was no drinks menu, which I just can’t understand. Overall: 6.5 out of 10.

Very nice dinner experience in Capri. Sunset to die for! Make sure you come in time of sunset for extra lovely ambience. Staff is polite and friendly, helpful when making a choice for food. Prices are quite fair, 140€ for dinner for two, I think for Capri that is more than ok. They offer fresh fish, but we took meals from the menu and that was OK but nothing too special, tbh we expected a bit more. To sum up, good restaurant, great service, lovely view and average food.
Paola M — Google review
The best thing about the restaurant are the wonderful views of the Bay of Naples, the sunsets are wonderful. The attention is very good and the service is fast. The food was good but could have been better for the price. The ravioli were delicious, the pasta with zetas porccini for a recommendation could have been better as it was a bit tasteless.

Hidden restaurant in Anacapri with great food and service with incredible views on the sunset. Please note that there is a 20mins walk from the centre of Anacapri but it is worth to do it. Owner is so kind that then take you back to the taxi stop in the centre by own car. I recommend that experience!

Villa Margherita is a charming family-run restaurant located in Capri, offering an authentic Italian dining experience. Tucked away beneath olive trees with stunning sea views, the restaurant provides a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Guests can indulge in classic Italian dishes such as octopus genovese and spaghetti alla nerano, made with fresh herbs and vegetables grown on-site. The restaurant's warm ambiance and delicious cuisine make it a hidden gem for those seeking a taste of Capri's culinary heritage.
The veal chop Milanese was delicious. We tried the sweet pepper stuffed with bread, olives and capers - this was great. There were no complaints from our group, so I would recommend having dinner here. There was a small party next to us with music and it was a nice mood setting. Thank you to Pietro for answering all my questions ….

The food? Delicious. The service? Fantastic. The view? Absolutely breathtaking. But the mosquitoes? Oh, they came to EAT. And spoiler: they weren’t on the menu – we were. Seriously, I think they booked a table next to us. Luckily, the restaurant is pretty modern – they have plenty of ways to fight these little vampires, but I recommend bringing your own backup just in case. A great place overall, but come hungry… just don’t come too sweet.

All I can say is that this place is amazing. The food, atmosphere, staff, view everything is great. We made a last min dinner reservations and we got lucky. They had a spot open. We had a table with an amazing view of the coast line. The food was so fresh and delicious. The staff were all professional and kind. It's one of my favorite places in Capri.

Went to dinner and had a great experience. The spaghetti with clams and lemon was amazing and the white fish catch of the day was delicious! Most impressed by their desserts. Absolutely stunning! The BEST dinner to kickoff our first night in Capri. Upon arrival, we were greeted and offered a seat at the bar. We planned to walk over early to enjoy a drink and sunset. After a yummy spritz at the bar, we were whisked away to a table of our choosing outside under the heaters. We shared a bottles of wine, appetizer, and our entrees. This was my husband’s first time having limoncello so they brought us each a homemade shot. To. Die. For. 🫶🏼 Lastly, the design of this restaurant is phenomenal. Open kitchen, beautiful bathrooms, gorgeous bar, and incredible views. Absolutely breathtaking. Thank you so much for making our evening! We can’t wait to come back.

Amazing view, cool staff and a delightful owner. She told us she and her husband runs the place. It was a little pricy and perhaps misleading with regards to the food prices and what we're paying for, but it was a great experience.

This is my third time here, i come here everytime Im in Capri. Despite all the comments about tourist traps, i found the service to be very accommodating, the food is terrific and the view is absolutely one of the best in Capri. Well the price is not cheap, however i dont think there will be places that you can get cheaper food for this same kind of food+view+atmosphere. So totally recommend, and will definitely come again!

I have seen both a flyer and a Facebook post saying they had "giropizza". I went there and kindly asked if that was available. People were rude and said: giropizza, of course not! And stared at me like it was something impossible. I said I saw it online and they did not want to hear. Very rude staff! So, adding photos here as well. In the end, I did not even buy a pizza and did not eat there.
Analu M — Google review
Went there after the guide recommended us the restaurant. My spouse wanted the fish of the day and me an other pasta dish. The server told us that he would do something with the fish of the day for two and that it would cut the price. TOTAL LIE. We got serve a bellow average pasta dish (way under cook, and I like my pasta aldente) and got a bill three time the price of the original pasta dish that i wanted. They will robe you.
Louis-David L — Google review
The view first is the best, by the sea directly as you can see from the photos. We wanted fresh sea food and we were able to choose directly from the fresh sea fishes selection. Tony and Roberto explained the different options and how to cook each one. Their service was perfect very friendly and helpful. They even set us a table in a perfect location. Highly recommended. They price might be too much but to be honest the food was worth it.

L'Olivo, situated in the luxurious Capri Palace Hotel, stands out as the only two-Michelin-starred restaurant on the island of Capri. Executive Chef Andrea Migliaccio curates a sophisticated dining experience that pays homage to the island's culinary heritage. The menu showcases exquisite dishes such as blue lobster ravioli and beef fillet with black truffle, each meticulously prepared with top-quality ingredients and presented with artistic flair.
Dining at L’Olivo at Anacapri was nothing short of an exceptional culinary experience. From the moment we stepped into the elegant surroundings of this Michelin-starred restaurant, we were enveloped by a sense of refined luxury and genuine warmth that set the tone for the evening. The ambiance is a perfect blend of modern sophistication and island charm, providing a tranquil backdrop to what would become a memorable gastronomic journey. The experience began with a warm welcome from the staff, who immediately made us feel at home. As we were seated, we were introduced to our server, who provided a detailed explanation of the menu. Chef Migliaccio’s passion for his craft is palpable in every dish. His commitment to sourcing the finest local ingredients and transforming them into culinary masterpieces is evident in each bite. Each course was meticulously crafted, with flavors that were both complex and harmonious. The dishes were not just food but a work of art, each beautifully presented and with a story that spoke to the region’s rich culinary heritage. The standout dish was undoubtedly the blue lobster, paired with a delicate citrus emulsion that highlighted the freshness of the sea. Every course was a delightful surprise, showcasing Chef Migliaccio’s creative genius and deep respect for traditional Italian cuisine. The evening was further enhanced by the expertise of Vincenzo Riccio, the sommelier. His knowledge of wine is nothing short of extraordinary, and his ability to pair each course with the perfect wine was truly impressive. Vincenzo guided us through the wine list, which featured a stunning selection of both local and international wines. His recommendations were spot on, each glass perfectly complementing the flavors of the dishes without overpowering them. The service throughout the evening was impeccable—attentive without being intrusive, and always delivered with a smile. The team at L’Olivo ensured that every aspect of our dining experience was flawless, from the timing of each course to the seamless wine service. In conclusion, dining at L’Olivo is more than just a meal; it’s an experience that engages all the senses. Chef Andrea Migliaccio’s culinary artistry, combined with the expert wine pairings by Vincenzo Riccio, made for an unforgettable evening. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply want to indulge in some of the finest cuisine Capri has to offer, L’Olivo is a must-visit destination. We left the restaurant not just satisfied but truly inspired by the incredible craftsmanship and passion that goes into every detail.

Dining at L’Olivo was far more than just a meal—it was a refined, elegant experience from start to finish. The service was, without exaggeration, the best I’ve ever encountered. Every tiny detail was anticipated before we even had to ask, handled with warmth, grace, and precision. The setting is equally unforgettable—gorgeous views that elevate an already incredible culinary journey. Each course was beautifully presented and flawlessly executed, a true reflection of the restaurant’s 2 Michelin stars. If you’re visiting Capri, this is not just a recommendation—it’s a must. L’Olivo sets the gold standard for fine dining.

This is a 2 star Michelin restaurant and unfortunately didn't live up to expectations. The service was between good and average depending on who was serving. I chose from the a la carte menu: I had a tomatoe soup for entree - €75 Essentially tasted like blended tomatoes 🙄 I had the black cod for main which was nice - €90. But, unfortunately, I’ve had better elsewhere. My wife was unwell due to some food poisoning the day before so she asked for somwthing very simple. They served her chicken with brocoli and potatoes. The chicken wasn't seasoned, my 8 year old could make something more interesting. The potatoes saturated in butter. Fair enough this wasn't part of their menu but we felt like it was thrown together without any care or consideration. Finally, the seating is a little interesting. Half the restaurant is table and chairs as you might expect. The other half is sofas and armchairs which is quirky but impractical. The sofa is also a 2 seater sofa that could potentially be shared with the next table, and with not a lot of space inbetween. Overall, not overly impressed and wouldn't ever go back.

This is a 2 Michilin star restaurant. We did not try the set menu and we chose from menu. The pasta with lemon is outstanding and highly recommended. The rest of the food is above average but nothing like the pasta with lemon. It was nice that they brought a cake for us as we are celebrating our anniversary. The service and ambience is outstanding. It’s worth it if like Michilin star restaurants.

We had a wonderful dinner here! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was good. However, we are well aware of places that are known for their exclusivity and fame, but coming from a Swiss Chef and a Pastry Chef’s perspective, and having visited other Michelin-starred restaurants around the world, we felt the prices were unfortunately too high for the components and portions of the dishes we received. The pricing felt like a shot in the dark, which caught us off guard in a very unexpected way.
Albert Z — Google review
One of the best dining experiences my husband and I have had not only on Capri, but in all of Italy. The live music was an amazing touch, the ambiance of the restaurant and view was perfect, not to mention the obvious: the food. The food was absolutely incredible. We had the tasting menu. The flavors in each dish were well balanced. They accommodated no problem for my being a pescatarian. The portions and spacing of dishes perfect as well ( my husband and I have found sometimes at michelin restaurants we leave a little hungry or the meal was too long- this was not the case here). They even surprised us with an extra dessert as we were celebrating our 1 year anniversary. The staff was kind and welcoming. Also I now think every restaurant should have a water menu. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough, I would travel back to Capri just to eat here again.
Christine B — Google review
Two star Michelin and well deserved. The food and service were fantastic. We tried the tasting menu and the signature dish was the best thing on it as you’d imagine. Pasta with lemon ricotta and raw shrimps! Everything else was outstanding … it truly was a journey from start to finish.

Absolutely incredible! One of the best dining experience of my life. We visited on our honeymoon a couple weeks ago and were so impressed. We had high expectations for this two Michelin star establishment and they absolutely blew us away with the quality of food, the staff's hospitality, the delightful ambiance, and their old fashioneds (a must try). The linguine with shrimp was our favorite dish, it literally melts in your mouth, but we thoroughly enjoyed everything. What really made the experience is the restaurant manager Giuseppe went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed ourselves and had our fill of food and wine, even brining out a delicious cake after overhearing we were on honeymoon. Can't recommend this place enough and look forward to visiting again next time we're in Capri.

Nestled along the charming Via Matteotti, Chiosco Tizzano di Natalia e Antonio Tizzano is a delightful gelateria that beckons with its irresistible aromas of freshly made wafer cones and creamy ice cream. This beloved spot in Capri stands out with its vibrant green tiles and hanging lemons, making it an essential stop on a warm summer day.
We took the ice cream inside the lemon, 9 Euro which is very expensive for 2 scoops of ice cream, but it's overall delicious ice cream and the gimmick works well for those who like it (and keeps the ice cream cold for a long time)

A nicely decorated store with all of those lemons everywhere, hidden under a green roof, located on the way to the gardens. We took lemon and orange slush or granita if you want to call it by the sign. The lemon one was a mix of sour and sweet, the orange one a mix of sweet and bitter. Both of them were good with each of us having their favorite. They come in 3 sizes, we went for the big ones and are quite pricey that's why one star less.

Cooking class
Michel'angelo Capri is a must-visit dining destination on the island. The talented chef Gianluca creates local specialties like lemon fettucine and mixed seafood risotto, while Holly's singing adds to the delightful atmosphere. Guests can also enjoy lemon and chocolate 'caprese' tortes. Visitors rave about the warm and welcoming hospitality of Holly and Gianluca, who offer cooking classes in their beautiful garden. Despite cold weather, their energy made everything feel bright and sunny.
This cooking class was hands down one of the best experiences I had in Capri! Gianluca, a local chef, and his Australian wife Holly created a fun and relaxed atmosphere right from the start. We toured their beautiful organic garden and heard the heartwarming story of how they met (it was something straight out of Love Actually!). Then it was time to cook some truly amazing Caprese dishes under Gianluca’s expert guidance. The food was outstanding, and we had a fantastic time the entire afternoon. Plus, we left with all the recipes to recreate at home (or at least try!).
Jeff R — Google review
I first heard Holly talking about her love of Capri as a guest speaker on a podcast by Untold Italy. Hearing her talk about the island and the love story behind how she came to be a resident completely won me over and I knew we had to stay on Capri during our Italian vacation. Having the opportunity to take part in Holly and Gianluca’s cooking class was a dream come true. The classes take place in the stunning gardens of their beautiful villa in Anacapri. Gianluca is an excellent chef full of patience and kindness while he teaches you how to make homemade pasta. During the class we learned so much about Caprese food and traditions while tasting their own line of wines & olive oils and sampling Caprese salad, meats &cheeses . This day was definitely the highlight of our trip, we cannot wait to come back again one day. If you are thinking about joining Holly and Gianluca’s class, just do it, I promise you’ll have no regrets.

The Michel'angelo team of Holly and Gianluca provided the absolute most memorable experience of our trip to Italy. They went above and beyond providing an amazing authentic Capri cooking class. The food that we helped create was super tasty too! During the class we got a tour of their lovely garden along with trying their selection of homemade olive oils and wine. Hopefully we can do another one soon!

We had a fabulous evening learning to cook traditional Caprese dishes with Holly and Gianluca. They are wonderful hosts, their garden is a lovely place to spend time, and the food is delicious! I highly recommend taking a cooking class with them, and also supporting their efforts to bring a small piece of traditional farming back to Capri.

This review is long overdue. Absolutely fabulous lunch and hosts with the most romantic story I’ve ever heard ❤️. Our family of 11 enjoyed making pasta, touring the gardens, and tasting multiple courses with wine. Fun for all ages with transportation provided. Thank you Holly and Gianluca
Kasey D — Google review
Here’s what you can expect if you book this absolutely incredible experience: Gianluca (the chef himself) met us near Capri town square promptly at 9:45am and drove us about 10 minutes to the beautiful outdoor location where we met Holly, who speaks perfect English and will give you a wealth of information about Capri and its history. Then Gianluca and his assistant Giulia showed us how to make three authentic Caprese dishes (you can select which ones you want to learn to make when you make your reservation). They started us off with a Campari or Aperol spritz and walked us through a full wine-tasting with three Campanian whites and two reds (all five were truly well-made, vivid expressions of the local terroir) while we made pasta by hand, following Gianluca’s instruction, and sampled small bites from their local garden. Then, we were seated at a beautiful table and served a full olive oil tasting of seven different olive oils by Holly, who explained the entire process of making olive oil, its classifications, and the local etiquette for how to consume it with your food (there are rules!) while simultaneously continuing our wine-tasting. Then we were served a four-course meal by Giulia, consisting of all the food we had made ourselves with Gianluca now that he had cooked and prepared it all with his own sauces and expertise. Every single dish was as good as the best restaurants we’ve eaten at here in Italy over the past week. Then, around 2:30pm, Gianluca drove us back to the town square and we felt as if we had made friends for life with a local chef and his family. This was truly one of the best experiences I’ve had anywhere in the world and if I could give it 100 stars, that wouldn’t be enough. Don’t miss this, it has been the highlight of our trip to Italy.

Taking a cooking class with Holly and Gianluca was the highlight of our trip to Capri! Make amazing food in their lovely garden while drinking their excellent wine and tasting their great olive oil, and having great conversation! I highly recommend that you take advantage of the opportunity to have an unforgettable dining and cooking experience while helping to bring a little piece of local farming back to Capri.

We had the best degustation experience with Holly, Gianluca (and Giulia!). Ristorante da Gemma is a well-known, family-owned restaurant nestled in the picturesque town of Anacapri on the island of Capri. Housed in a historic 19th-century building, the restaurant exudes an elegant charm with its antique furnishings and inviting ambiance. With soft lighting, classical music, and a cozy fireplace, it offers a sophisticated and romantic dining experience.
Ristorante Da Gemma offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere right by the beach, with beautiful views and a calm, relaxing setting. The staff are incredibly friendly, professional, and impressively knowledgeable about the menu. Their recommendations were spot on and made our dining experience even more enjoyable. Service was fast, attentive, and highly professional throughout. Each dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented — a real treat for both the eyes and the palate. Every bite reflected quality ingredients and great care in preparation. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy refined Italian cuisine in a peaceful and scenic location in Capri.

I had lunch at Da Gemma and it was an absolutely delightful experience. The service was exceptional — our waiter, Filippo, was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect throughout the meal. The food was outstanding: every dish was full of flavor, beautifully presented, and made with top-quality ingredients. You can really tell how much care and passion go into the cooking. The atmosphere was elegant and refined, yet warm and welcoming — the perfect setting for a relaxing and memorable lunch. I highly recommend Da Gemma for anyone looking to enjoy excellent cuisine, impeccable service, and a truly classy environment.

Our tour guide recommended this restaurant in Capri. The view is beautiful by the beach, family friendly, romantic. The food is very good. I am very pleased with all that i ordered. The staff and owner are friendly and welcoming. My child had fish and chips, the fish is so good. The seafood linguine is the bomb.

There’s a beautiful view of the marina, the beach, and the bay. Service was very slow and prices are very high. Food was fine and they offered gluten free bread and crackers. Try the lemon sorbet!

I ordered a seafood pasta and had to wait 28 minutes, even though the restaurant was not busy. While waiting, I finished my coffee and oysters. Since my ferry was leaving in 10 minutes, I asked for the bill and the pasta to go. I paid €58 and then waited another 5 minutes for them to pack it. When I finally opened it on the ferry, I was shocked: it was half a portion of plain pasta, without any seafood at all. The dish I ordered was simply not there. On top of that, the staff behaved arrogantly, which made the whole experience even worse. What a disgrace for such a restaurant. Very disappointing!

Just popped in for a couple of beers and wines the service was excellent we were given nibbles and towards the end given a small piece of cake each. The food on other people's plates looked very generous and delicious. The view is great. Highly recommended

The service was impeccable! Everyone was very friendly. We had the ceviche, seafood linguine, fish and chips, and the gemma spritz, they did not disappoint.

5 stars! We had a great time. The people were extremely welcoming, especially Gemma. The chairs were comfortable and reasonably priced. We had reservations at a different beach club but found some bad reviews and decided to switch. We are very glad we did. The food was as good as the view. Probably the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. Do yourself a favor and make Gemma and the beach club a stop on your next visit to Capri. Oh, and it’s located steps from the Marina and Port, no taxi or bus needed. I’ll most certainly be back.

Pulalli is a charming hidden gem located near the Piazza Umberto in Capri, offering a bird's-eye view of the bustling square below. The menu features authentic Italian dishes and an extensive wine selection with over 150 labels to choose from. With just five tables on its terrace, it's essential to make reservations in advance to enjoy the perfect spot for people-watching while savoring tapas and a glass of wine.
Probably the cosiest place in Capri. Small restaurant next to the bell tower in the central square. This is the second time we come here and the food has been outstanding both times. The ambience is intimate and relaxed. The service is very good and fast. The menu is limited with 3/4 choices per course and daily specialties, though the quality of each dish is great. Will be visiting again next time. Reservations definitely a must because the place is small and very popular. Value for money is high, especially for center of Capri standards. Good vibe and amazing waiting staff.

After a boat tour around the island, we took the funicular up to Capri town and discovered this restaurant by chance. It couldn’t have been a better choice: excellent food, a lovely breeze, and a beautiful view over Capri. The highlight, however, was the service. Salvatore was the most welcoming and attentive waiter we encountered anywhere on the Amalfi Coast. If there were an award for Italy’s best waiter, he would certainly get my vote.
Dennis R — Google review
We had a wonderful experience at Pulalli in Capri, and Pietro made it truly special. He was extremely attentive, friendly, and professional throughout our visit. His service was outstanding — always with a smile and making sure everything was perfect. Pietro’s excellent English also made communication very easy and pleasant. The food, the view, and especially his hospitality made our evening unforgettable, ending perfectly with a cheerful toast of limoncello. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful dinner at Pulalli. We reserved a table overlooking the square and loved the people watching. We had the kindest server and enjoyed eating with locals and tourists alike. Food was very good and had the best tiramisu of my life! Ask for a table overlooking the square when you make a reservation or the one single table overlooking the water for a romantic dinner.

Pullali is a stunning little restaurant tucked away in the center of Capri -modern, minimalist, and yet warm and atmospheric. It’s not the easiest place to find on your first try, but once you do, you’re rewarded with breathtaking views and an unforgettable dining experience. The cuisine is exceptional, with every dish crafted to perfection and paired with a thoughtfully curated wine selection. The staff are genuinely delightful - smiling, attentive, and incredibly helpful, which is a rare treat on the island. Pullali combines elegance with intimacy, making it a must-visit for anyone seeking something truly special in Capri.

Come for the view, stay for the hospitality and great food! Pietro is an incredible host and aims to ensure you have a comfortable eating experience. I genuinely don’t think the view gets much better anywhere else for a meal in Capri! The table in the photos has a great view of the square below.

Salvadora was an amazing server - The food was outstanding. We had the octopus, tuna, and the Barada for our starters, and they were absolutely delicious. Then we ordered the swordfish, the fillet, and gluten-free pasta with mussels, green beans and potatoes, which was also fantastic. Anna was amazing The chef Roberto was awesome and kind - cheers!!

Restaurant
Ristorante Buca di Bacco is a charming Italian restaurant in Capri, offering classic pizzas and pastas paired with an extensive selection of wines. The rustic, wood-and-whitewashed space provides a cozy atmosphere with stunning sea views. The menu features Neapolitan pizza, seafood, meats, and pasta dishes. Guests can enjoy their meal while taking in the beautiful terrace views or opt for a window seat overlooking the spectacular scenery.
BEST lunch we had during our Amalfi Coast trip. It’s off the beaten path, feels like a hole in the wall, authentic, surrounded by Italians while we were there. We got a couple things but the lemon pasta was the actual best dish of my life. We talk about it probably every week and we were there 3 years ago.
Jessica H — Google review
This charming and authentic trattoria offers a delicious menu brimming with authentic pasta dishes and pizza, all expertly prepared and priced reasonably. The warm welcome from the owner sets the tone, but service can be a bit slow once seated, with waiters focusing more on the task at hand than creating a truly engaging experience. However, the simple, rustic atmosphere transports you to a classic Italian film, complete with a lovely view of Naples. You'll leave feeling satisfied and eager to return for another memorable meal. A hidden gem.
Sorin C — Google review
I don’t want this review to take away from how good the food was but the service wasn’t good and the was atmosphere not appealing. The pictures attached are our two meals, fusilli pasta with zucchini n smoked cheese and tagliatelle pasta with lemon sauce. The food was very authentic tasting and the sauces were homemade. However, the server only came by once to take our orders and he never came by to check on us. The food was brought out by someone else. The restaurant is completely enclosed with only one window and only one small table in front of that window so don’t expect a pretty view or outdoor seating you can get at other places. The €8 per person service charge was well more than I would have tipped back in America considering the service or lack of.

Absolutely amazing lunch. The pizza was really, really good. We had margherita and marinara pizzas at a very reasonable price. I encourage you to walk a few meters away from the main square and find Buca.

I rarely feel compelled to write reviews, but my recent visit to La Palette Ristorante was nothing short of extraordinary. Such a beautiful restaurant. The views are stunning. The food was fresh and delicious. We had the chefs tasting menu and it did not disappoint. This was out of the main tourist area of Capri, a bit of an uphill walk to get here. But totally worth it. A meal I will remember.

we were looking for a place off the beaten track, and boy, did we luck out! the stunning setting, delicious food, and super friendly service - all to our full satisfaction! the moment we sat down we knew we needed a bottle of rosé and fortunately they had one of our favorite on the menu - villa dora rosato - devine! the food highlights were the fresh marinated anchovies with perfect acidity augmented by the peppery evo - the skin on the grilled sea bass had an incredible crunch, and the fish was seasoned very well accompanied by broccoli, olives and capers. the delizia al limone and limcello were a fitting finale to an unforgettable meal. brava and thank you, veronica and your great team!

Do not get the swordfish as a main course and get three slices of fish not even sure swordfish is very good but not very filling and the eggplant Parmesan that was delicious. It was way more filling than the swordfish. My wife had the cheese ravioli that was delicious and Ziggy rockfish that was proportioned well.

Review of La Palette, Capri We visited La Palette with a large group and enjoyed our experience overall. The food was good; we had chicken, eggplant, and finished with tiramisu for dessert. Service was ample, though not the quickest, likely due to our group size. The location is on a hilltop, so be prepared for a bit of a walk up. The setting is worth it, though, as the views are stunning and the cool breeze adds to the charm. It’s a great spot for a leisurely meal with a beautiful panorama of Capri.

La Zagara is a charming restaurant located in the historic center of Anacapri, nestled amidst narrow alleys and surrounded by a splendid lemon grove. The atmosphere exudes relaxation, offering a surreal sense of peace as guests dine among the tables. Chef Davide Ciavattella presents a menu that showcases traditional cuisine with delicious and creatively reimagined dishes. The warm and welcoming ambiance is enhanced by beautiful floral decorations, creating an elegant and intimate setting.
Words fall short to describe the atmosphere. La Zagara is a hidden gem nestled among Sicilian lemon trees. I had a family dinner there, and everything was impeccable. The best restaurant I visited in Capri.
Otávio S — Google review
The setting of the restaurant is very pleasant, as you dine surrounded by lemon trees. The food is nicely presented but of rather average quality and served in small portions (the starters are really minimal for the price). The pasta sauce lacked flavor. The bill was extremely high (€275 for 5 covers, 2 starters to share, 5 main courses including 3 pastas, 2 glasses of wine, and 4 bottles of water). The service was friendly and helpful. Overall, it is overpriced, but that seems to be the case with most restaurants on Capri Island.
Mr B — Google review
Overall a really nice and fun experience. To be expected a tourist spot but with a very welcoming and nice staff. All very attentive and helpful during the entire experience. Food was good and priced as expected. Most of the table had steak - one person in our party seemed to have a issue with the steak and the staff without question removed it from the bill, asked several time if they wanted another one or something else. The entertainment was fun and engaging however after the first hour seemed a little overwhelming. But very friendly. I would recommend and go back - with expectation of it being a tourist destination.

This is such a pleasant atmosphere. The staff is on their toes but I was disappointed by the fish I ordered, very small portion and dry. They charge a cover €6 per person. The celebratory aspect was a nice touch with the sparkler.

We had a very pleasant evening with a special dessert recommended by our waiter, very kind and service oriented (Argentinian sorry for missing the name). We chose the dessert degustation since it was late at night and even suggested blankets for the cold evening. A very special place with a beautiful atmosphere under Capri lemon trees.

Amazing place for dinner! Loved it! Much better lemon experience than Da Paolino in my opinion. More private and intimate. Food was great. The interior really was the best part but also food & staff were amazing. Definitely add it to your list!

Located on Capri's famous piazzetta, il Piccolo is the oldest bar in town and a popular choice for pre-dinner aperitifs and people-watching. It offers a central location, good coffee, and friendly staff. The pastries are decent, and they also serve high-quality drinks. Whether you choose to sit down or take away, be prepared for slightly higher prices typical of the area.
Had the gnocchi Sorrento dish and it was lovely! So tasty. Staff was friendly kind and helpful. We loved the food and the Irish Coffee was good. Lemoncello spritz was perfect. We will be back!

As an Italian I was ashamed to fall for this trap. I would encourage the consumers association to look into them for fraudulent behavior. The owners pushed for us to sit instead of having our breakfast at the till. Instead of charging a cover charge (as it is customary in Italy) they presented me with a bill where all items were 5 times more than what they should have been. This is obviously dishonest and it is the kind of behavior tagged drives visitors away. Despite loving this island I will personally not set foot in Capri anymore and make sure to spread the word.
Stefano L — Google review
Il Piccolo is a café situated in the main piazza at the center of Capri. It’s one of the first places you see where you can sit once you reach the top—making it the perfect setup for a tourist trap. Yes, the croissants were delicious, the espresso hit the spot, and the cappuccino was the perfect start to the morning. But they are clearly price gouging their customers—charging 10 euros for an espresso and another 10 euros for a cappuccino. Just a short walk down one of the nearby streets, you can find charming little cafés serving the same drinks for 3–4 euros. My wife, son and I had a cappuccino, double espresso, a couple croissants and a warm glass of milk that cost 55 euros. While prices in Capri are generally high, this felt excessive. Do yourself a favor and skip the main square. Wander down one of the quaint, narrow alleyways instead, find a small café, lean against the bar, and enjoy your coffee and homemade pastries for a fraction of the cost—and a much more authentic experience.
Spencer D — Google review
Just because we had no time ti choise the place and but go far away from the city centre where we expected lower prices we were shocked of the choice but no doubt. Soft drinks for 10€??? Coffee for 8-9€??? Pizza is for a similar price and it was really delicious. At least one good point 👌

I’m incredibly disappointed by how I was treated at Il Piccolo. I came in, ordered drinks, and sat down to feed my baby—something any parent would naturally need to do. I had brought a small container of food for my child, who is still a baby, and without warning, I was approached by an older man who rudely told me I was being disrespectful for feeding him. He went as far as to say I was “not educated” and claimed he had “never seen anyone do this”—as if caring for your child in a café was somehow outrageous. Instead of offering understanding or kindness, I was made to feel unwelcome and embarrassed. As someone who had already ordered from the café, this treatment was completely unacceptable. No one should be spoken to that way—especially not a parent simply trying to feed their child. I won’t be returning, and I would not recommend this place to anyone who values basic decency or hospitality.

I’m speaking only of the snack bar at the beach side . Nicoise salad was nothing but a green salad with minimal extras of half 1 potato half an egg and a tiny bit of tuna. No green beans. Typical capri prices but a good experience. The ambience is lovely. We only ate lunch so cannot speak to the beach facilities but they looked nice. My husband had a very good fish entree and I had ravioli. Both were excellent. Lots of stairs but worth the walk!

Great little place with private sun loungers and umbrellas where you can leave your stuff and be secure in it being ok while you go for a swim. Only reasons review isnt 5 star is, they won’t let you order Caprese signature dish, Caprese Ravioli to your sun lounger, even though you can order other pasta dishes to your lounger, so don’t know why you can’t order that specific one but you can’t. They say you have the sun lounger until 6pm, so you could go in at 10am and spend 8 hours here theoretically but realistically at 4:30pm they start dismantling the the ramp that goes into the ocean, so you’ll listen to really loud banging on metal with hammer for 30 mins, they take your umberella off you at 4:30pm, so while you have the sun lounger until 6, the umbrella is taken away earlier (the sun is starting to move behind cliffs so it’s not an issue just weird to leave to go to toilet and umberella gone with no notice) and he starts asking everyone to start paying there bill between 4:30pm - 5pm so while you can stay until 6, there actions make it seem like you better leave soon as we want you to go.

Lovely atmosphere. If you like nice prosecco and red wine looking over the sea this is the place. Very relaxed and nice staff. The glass portions are very generous.
Dowling J — Google review
I recently spent the day at this beach club and it was nothing short of spectacular. From start to finish, everything about the experience was flawless and truly deserving of five stars. The setting itself is breathtaking—a pristine stretch of coastline with crystal-clear waters and soft sand, paired with stylish lounge areas that create the perfect balance between relaxation and luxury. The sunbeds were extremely comfortable, with plenty of space between them for privacy, and the umbrellas provided just the right amount of shade. It never felt overcrowded, which made it easy to fully unwind. The service was impeccable. Staff members were attentive without being intrusive, always ready with a smile, quick to bring fresh drinks, and genuinely invested in making sure guests had the best possible time. The menu exceeded expectations too. From fresh seafood dishes to light salads and refreshing cocktails, everything we tried was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. It’s clear the beach club takes pride in both quality and detail. Another highlight was the music—upbeat yet relaxing during the day, transitioning into a livelier vibe in the afternoon as the sun began to set. The atmosphere naturally shifted into a more social, energetic scene while still maintaining its elegance. Overall, this beach club was the perfect combination of stunning location, outstanding service, and fantastic food. Whether you’re looking to relax by the water or enjoy a vibrant evening by the sea, it’s an absolute must-visit. I can’t wait to return.

Nice beach club. We paid €60 for 2 sunbeds. Umbrella is another €10 but we didn't want one anyway. Staff are very polite and helpfull. They had a violin and singer but this was mainly in the resterant and couldn't really hear from sunbeds. Raised sunbed area is quieter with music by the beach sunbeds. Capri Pasta is a great takeaway place in Capri. They have plenty of options for lunch. Everything seems to be prepared in house. We ordered some potato croquettes, meatballs, tiny calzonnes and a eggplant pie (excellent). Everything was tasty and fresh. The only negative is that all the food is from the bar, so it must be reheated in the microwave (or the normal oven if you ask them to). Prices are by weight, they are quite cheap considering you are in Capri. They do have a tiny bar table that fits about three people if you feel like eating in.

Yep, get the ravioli. My husband loved it. Fresh pasta, super filled with cheesy goodness. I loved the sprinkles of mozzarella on top. We ordered two arancini, a fried spaghetti ball, veggies and three orders of ravioli for two of us. The woman at the counter was very sweet and heated our marinated veggies up while the kitchen made our fresh ravioli. We were quite happily full, but a bit shocked that the price was ~50€. Quick, kind, delicious.

Le Arcate is a charming restaurant located just a short walk from the center of Anacapri. The establishment boasts a welcoming atmosphere that attracts both tourists and locals. The building's exterior is stunning, and the interior is adorned with baroque furniture, white tablecloths, and white marble walls. Whether you're dining with a small group or hosting a large event, Ristorante Le Arcate can accommodate up to 130 guests in its spacious dining room and outdoor terrace.
Overall I can't say enough good things about this place. Although the overall cost was a little high for a lunch it was well worth every penny. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Capri. Food - The food is brilliant. Our family got the home made ravioli, zucchini pesto pasta and margarita pizza. The pasta was so fresh and the sauce on the pizza was unbelievable. Can't say enough good things about the food. Service - Fast friendly service that got our group in and out with plenty of time to continue on our tour. Atmosphere - Great atmosphere that allowed for great family discussion while enjoying our meals and sipping our lemon spritz. Such a great spot to stop and cool down while on your adventure.

This restaurant is a disgrace to Italian cuisine. I’ve tasted risotto in Finland, Iceland, Croatia, Austria, Spain, Czechia, Slovakia, Poland, Germany, and a few other countries — but I’ve never experienced such a miserable flavor anywhere. It tasted like plain rice with turmeric. The menu said it was shrimp risotto, but as you can see in the photo, there are just three tiny frozen shrimp. On top of that, the dish costs €30, plus €3 for table setup and €6 for water. Even in Vienna or Helsinki it’s cheaper. I believe most restaurants in Anacapri and Capri shame the Italian culinary tradition, which is famous for its incredibly delicious food. When the waiter asked if everything was okay, we explained that three shrimp is simply not enough and that we didn’t enjoy the meal. He didn’t apologize — he just smiled and asked where we were from. That was disrespectful. I will never come back here, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. There are thousands of places in the world that are ten times better, where people genuinely care and cook with heart and love — but this is not one of them.

In a sea of tourist traps at Anacapri this place is a nice oasis for good food and excellent service. The pasta with sea food was one of the best I had in Italy. We spoke to a gentleman there I believed to be the owner or manager and he made us feel like we were family. He even got my jacket back to me, after I had left it there, before I got back on the tour boat. Great place!!!

Let me just say—I wish I had every meal here during my stay in Capri! Hands down the best pizza I’ve ever had. The flavors were unforgettable, and the atmosphere was just as amazing. The staff was an absolute delight—huge shoutout to Antonio for taking such great care of me and giving the best recommendations. This place is a must-visit if you’re ever in Capri. Don’t miss it!

I generally like to give the benefit of the doubt. Some other guests seemed quite happy. However, I wasn't comfortable in this restaurant & didnt really feel welcome. You were a product. A necessity to get in, put some food in front of & get out as quickly as possible. It should be an experience thats part of the visit to Capri. Like many of the other reviews, we were recommended the restaurant by our guide & thought it a safe bet. I would say what looked like the owner, gave a little rushed conversation when taking the order. Then the wrong wine was poured in a rushed fashion (A Chardonnay instead of the Pino Grigio. We noticed late as he walked away but we didnt mention it). A waiter in a different part of the restaurant (younger, bald with a beard) looked very friendly and was happy, chatting & laughing with diners thoughout our stay. But the waitress we had was cold & unfriendly. She also cleared the plates rapidly and individually, as soon as each of us had bearly put our cutlery down. Like a plate assassin. A plate clearing ninja. My wife loved her meal (Trancio di Salmone - Salmon with purèed potato plus a side of Broccoli). The children liked their pizzas (had better in Meta). My sliced chicken was plain, dry & over done (but better than underdone!) Overall, I think your welcome may be determined by their mood on the day, or your nationality, who knows? I tried to speak italian but its not great & they understandably steam rollered over that with English. No doubt to reduce errors & get us out as quickly as possible. I get that a restaurant gets busy & they have a business to run but we've had a lot friendlier service during our holiday. The welcome & interaction is important to the experience. I hope your experience is the 5 stars of some other ratings.

Excellent food and the owner is extremely symphatic. You are in Capri you need to taste the Caprese and the Limocello

The Gelateria bar Nonna Carmela Capri is an amazing place to go for a delicious gelato. The flavours are fantastic and the ice cream is always fresh. The restaurant also has a great atmosphere, making it the perfect place to relax after a day of sightseeing on Capri.
I visited Gelateria bar Nonna Carmela Capri after the Mount Solaro Chair Lift expierence and my expierence was very good. I did have their gelato and they were delicious. I even had their pizza and they tasted yummy. Overall, a very good expierence.

They got so many flabours so its hard to pick them… they are delicious 🤤 Its a little bit expensive but this is one of the two gellaterias in the island. Super busy and the ladies were slow… so not a great combination.

The best chocolate & orange bits gelato I’ve had in Italy. The lemon sorbet has the most intense flavor of the 3 lemon varieties. The cherry gelato was amazing so is the chocolate all the flavors and creamy texture are simply yum yum yum!

4 euros for a medium cup with 2 flavors or 3.50 euros for a small cone with 2 flavors. The flavors were hit or miss, we got a tiramisu and a Capri special. Capri special was good but tiramisu tasted like coffee (which may have been the intent)

Come to this gelateria for freshly made waffle cones, extremely thin and crispy. The gelato itself was perfectly smooth and creamy, however the flavors were a bit bland and indistinguishable. The only flavor that really packed a punch and was delicious was the pistacchio gelato. Further, the prices are on the higher end: - 3€ / 3.50€ for 1 flavor (cup/cone) - 4€ / 4.50€ for 2 flavors (cup/cone) - 5€ for 3 flavors (cup)
